  1. Try this link: https://insanenutter.com/content/forums/vivillon-saves.zip if the hotlink protection kicks in simply copy + paste the URL in to your address bar and it should download fine. Edit - Ninja'd by @thaleskpl!
  2. @theSLAYER He used the "scene" release of Pokemon X to create the save, so i'm hoping that isn't a problem. Fingers crossed you have a 3DS that isn't too up to date!
  3. Background: Essentially I have Pokemon X save games started on a 3DS from different regions / areas required to get each different Vivillon Form. The games are saved standing in the daycare center with a male / female Scatterbug in the party, all you have to do is talk to the daycare woman, give her the two Scatterbugs, run around and get some eggs. You can trade those back to your Pokemon X, Y, Omega Ruby or Alpha Sapphire game and hatch them. The end result is you get the Vivillon with the desired pattern, as a bonus you are also the original trainer. Perfect! The Problem: All seems easy right? however the problem is these saves were created a long time ago by drfsupercenter over at GBATemp using a Gateway flashcard, The Gateway flashcard no longer works on 3DS firmware 11.3 and 11.4. It's also not currently possible to decrypt these saves without using a Gateway flashcard. My 3DS is A9LH hacked, however my sysnand is on 11.4 so i can't use the Gateway payload anymore (I own all my 3DS game legit dont worry any sort of console hacking just interests me). I was wondering if anyone here still has a Gateway flashcard, 3DS it can be used on and would be willing to decrypt these saves? they could then be used on legit game cartridges or Eshop versions of the game. I think this is something that would benefit the ProjectPokemon save section too. If a Gateway update is ever released i'd happily do this myself and share the decrypted saves, i've been wanting to do this for a few months now, however it appears Gateway is not going to release an update any time soon, so i'm putting the idea out there. The saves: http://www62.zippyshare.com/v/CyJYJyG8/file.html (15mb in total so cant attach). Conversion guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/importing-gateway-saves-to-cia-games.425743/ I take no credit for these, all we're created over time by drfsupercenter on GBATemp. He sent me the remainder of the Vivillon form saves he never posted in his thread, i've just never been able to use them unfortunately.
  4. Thank you! very unexpected, however appreciated. It's certainly great to see everyone's GEN 3 preservation efforts officially recognised, I never expected people to still be interested in GEN 3 all these years later. A big thanks to everyone who's helped with the GEN 3 preservation effort, both directly and indirectly. I'd like to personally thank @HaxAras and @Deoxyz who have both gone above and beyond, it certainly shows what the community can do when people come together .
  5. I'm sure you already do, however remember to backup! after 8 years you must have a lot of data you can't replace. Also just to provide some feedback Sophos Antivirus now also flags it up as a trojan and Google Chrome blocks the download as malicious (this will cause problems for any site hosting a mirror) obviously a false positive, however just letting you know.
  6. If you have a shiny Pokemon you either got really lucky or put many many hours trying to obtain it. Either way you can be satisfied out of all the people who play Pokemon, few likely have the shiny you just got. For me personally i don't go out my way to chain or reset to try obtain one. From what I gather a shiny Pokemon wouldn't be any better in battle than a Pokemon you just randomly caught, however i'm not that in to the battling side of Pokemon, more the collecting, so someone might well tell me different. From a collecting point of view its pretty nice as the chances of you finding one are certainly against you, even if it is a lot easier in Gen 6.
  7. All credit to Gold Ursaring, all i did was trade the GEN 1 Mew found years later over to GEN 2, other than that the save is untouched from Gold Ursaring's original upload. That was the only save i ever found with GEN 2 events, although it always surprises me what has turned up all these years later for the early generations.
  8. @suloku @St. GIGA I couldn't get any of the dol's to work, the GBA will download the multiboot file then just crash to a white screen. The Wii states to press A once you have a GBA game inserted, I can press A on the sample0519_bin however nothing happens after that, the Wii just says it's waiting for the GBA game. client_bin and client.2003_1112_bin would not register me pressing A on the GameCube controller only sample0519_bin seemed to. My Setup: Wii, GBA SP, Official GC to GBA Cable and Pokemon Sapphire (EUR) with a working battery for the RTC in the GBA Quick video here:
  9. Has it been confirmed we will get GEN 2 VC releases? The last i remember reading their was no plans to do this any time soon, sadly! You probably won't be able to send original GameBoy events up, it wasn't possible with any of the Mews we have for GEN 1. Either way i'd still love GEN 2 VC releases so i can finally transfer my squads to a modern Pokemon game.
  10. I shall certainly keep an eye on this topic. Just to put this out there the Pokémon Journey Across America (10 ANIV Event) (Trainer ID: 00010) is an event we're very close to having one of each Pokemon untouched for. If anyone's checking their old saves / archives have a look for a Blastoise, Zapdos and Dragonite from this event, as that's all we need to have one of each untouched. We do have these Pokemon, however just not in their distributed state.
  11. A little bit of interesting information, I placed my European version of Pokemon Moon in my JPN 2DS and was able to scan the Ga-ole QR code for Solgaleo. (My save game started and finished on a European 3DS) From what I gather all Pokemon 3DS games are essentially the same, so it appears to simply check the region of the 3DS the game is at the time and not anything related to the actual save game. I imagine you could also do this with a region switched Emunand if you desired.
  12. @Sabresite Yes between myself and @HaxAras it's been kept updated. I'm off work today so if you can let me know i'd be happy to update the save. I need to update the main thread to reflect how the save currently is anyway, so would be handy to do it all at the same time. Edit - I noticed you had posted in the thread just after seeing your post here, thank you for that!
  13. Very nice collection i must say. Do you by chance still have the GEN 3 event Pokemon still in GEN 3? I've been woking on getting as many as possible still in GEN 3, most of the 10 ANIV (00010 and 06808) out there seem to no longer exist in GEN 3 and have long since been Pal Parked.
  14. I think the private issues been discussed in this thread should be discussed in private between the people involved, this thread is great for people still interested in GEN 3 events and the research behind them, however is rapidly been derailed. The majority, myself included obviously don't know how private individuals on this forum came to obtain these distributions or what deals were made, so in my opinion its pointless discussing a private deal in a public thread, when most don't know the story behind it. The only beneficial thing that has been learned from this is various individuals do have rare distributions for GEN 3, likely for event Pokemon that have long since been lost, or have at least not been publicly archived for future generations to enjoy. Personally I would like to appeal to people who have GEN 3 distributions if they would consider distributing a set of the Pokemon on that distribution and sharing the actual Pokemon with us, or a save, not the rom. I personally can't see that doing any harm and it would be great for the community as a whole to have a more complete GEN 3 archive.
  15. I did half wonder about that as it talks about the GC to GBA cable. It looks like the only thing it's doing special is sending the same multiboot out, however to 3x GBA's at a time. Still it's nice its been preserved, which for something rare and obscure it always a bonus in my book
  16. If its of any help this is my experience with what i've imported so far: Mews: The only Mews I got to officially import were the JPN VC Mew theSlayer contributed and the UK VC Mew contributed by RupeeClock. The Toys R Us YOSHIRB Mew from 1999 and the 14 event Mews from port25 don't import either. When I changed my glitched Mew's OT to GF and ID to 22796 it would import fine as mentioned in this thread. Surfing Pikachu: A Pikachu taught Surf will not import, likewise neither will one evolved in to a Raichu. If the Surf move is removed with a save editor the Pokemon will import fine. Other Pokemon that were caught in-game and taught HM's import with no issues. I also dumped my pre installed Pokemon Green from my JPN 2DS, installed it on my PAL 3DS XL and that worked fine with Poke Transporter, it simply showed along side my other English Pokemon games. I now possibly have some of the oldest Pokemon in GEN 7, my 17 year old squad from Pokemon Red and 16ish year old squad from Yellow, good times
  17. It could also be you can't actually obtain a Surfing Pikachu legally in the VC games. Even though you could restore a save with a legit one, as far as Nintendo are concerned that shouldn't be possible. Trying a Pokemon with a HM would confirm either way though i'd imagine.
  18. You can actually view that page on Google Cache still, click the little down arrow at the end of the URL: Google Cache doesn't last for long however so here's the important bits: World Championships 2010 Crobat World Championships 2009 Weavile Interesting the distributions were both Wireless and Slot 2, maybe with so many DS's in the same place wireless was unreliable, so the Slot 2 distributions were used as a backup.
  19. I'm always really curious how people got in to Pokemon and what people enjoy about the games. This post ended up a lot longer than I expected, however I hope you enjoy the read and i'd be interested in knowing you got in to Pokemon. I remember back in 1999 I had two friends who's granddad / grandma lived at the bottom of my street, they used to usually stop there for a night each weekend. Usually they would come up to see me and my brother or we would go down to their grandparents to see them. Anyway one weekend one of them had a new GameBoy game, this been Pokemon Red, after he told me how you could collect 150 Pokemon, trade, battle and evolve them, I was amazed. A few months later I had enough money saved to buy the game ,so I did. I got Red and my Brother got Blue. I remember all 4 of us used to play the games loads, eventually between us finishing the Pokedex. I eventually got an action replay to we could all get Mew, we had heard all the rumours about him been under a truck and so on, however no one really knew if they were true or not. You have to remember this is back in 1999. Internet access wasn't exactly everywhere then. Our family had dialup internet which myself and my brother were allowed to use for 1 hour each on a weekend, as it was quite expensive back then. I think thats how i found out you could use 0115D8CF (the only gameshark code i can remember) on a gameshark / action replay to turn all wild Pokemon in to Mew. With that in mind i got a gameshark, no one believed I had Mew, when i proved it they all wanted one, so I ended up trading a lot of Mews to people back then! Through the limited internet access we had back then my friend who got me in to Pokemon told me he knew someone who had this new Pokemon game that was out in Japan called Pokemon Gold and could play it on his PC with something called an Emulator. None of us really had any idea what was back then, however we managed to find a Geocities website with a download of NO$GMB and a partially translated JPN Pokemon Gold Rom. This was like wow, mind blown. Their was so many new Pokemon, the game was in colour and two of us could play at the same time using the NO$GMB emulator and trade Pokemon. Needless to say beyond the first couple of towns / cities the game only had the menus translated, however we still pretty much got the first 8 gym badges, not really understanding much of the story, but just been amazed by all these new Pokemon no one really knew anything about. I remember we copied the emulator and partially translated Pokemon Gold on to a floppy disk so my friends could play it at their granddads and at home too, as they didn't have internet access at the time. This was around a year and a half before the game was officially released in Europe. Shortly after the game was released in the US, an independent shop in our town must have imported lots of copies from the US and started selling them. They sold out however reserved us some copies for when they next got a shipment in, I think this would have been around Christmas in 2000 ish. Needless to say we had the game months before it came out in Europe. Still to this day i have my save game and need around 9 Pokemon to complete the Pokedex, I really should try and do that sometime! After Pokemon Gold / Silver i think we all kind of lost interest in Pokemon, partially due to not been able to trade up Pokemon to Ruby / Sapphire from previous games and with School / College taking up a lot more time than it used to. I still purchased Pokemon Ruby in 2003 when it was released in the UK, however no one I knew was really interested in Pokemon by then, I lost interest myself never actually finished Ruby until years later. In 2007 after having various jobs i decided to Uni, which is when i got in to Pokemon again. I was on a Computing related course where my coursemates also loved the Pokemon games when they were younger. I think we ended up talking about Pokemon one day, realised we all had an Nintendo DS so we went out and purchased Pokemon Diamond / Pearl. By this time Pokemon had the one thing we all agreed we wanted as kids, online trading! In free time between lectures we used to go have some food and play Pokemon together, after finishing Diamond and Pearl we went back and finished Ruby / Sapphire and the Leaf Green / Fire Red remakes. This kept us all interested in Pokemon until 2010 when Heart Gold / Soul Silver were released, we all agreed these would be the best Pokemon games ever, as we all thought Gold / Silver we're the best game when we were younger. Sadly they came out at such an awful time for us, it was our final few weeks at Uni before exams started, so i think we played it for one weekend solid, got to around the Pokemon League with the first 8 gym badges. After that Uni was basically over, we graduated and after summer everyone went home, 100's of miles apart. I purchased Pokemon White when that was released in 2011, however all i did was get 1 gym badge and download the Victini WiFi event. I'd literally just started a new job a few weeks before so Pokemon wasn't really on my mind back then. In 2013 i got a 3DS XL for Christmas, along with a copy of Pokemon Y. I played that quite a bit at Christmas but never really got hooked on Pokemon again. I then got Pokemon Omega Ruby a year later and really enjoyed that, I wouldn't say i got totally hooked on Pokemon but i did finish it. It was Christmas 2015, I happened to be at a family gathering with some cousins who were playing it, one of my cousins was working on a living Pokedex and I just thought i've always wanted to do that in Pokemon why have i never bothered? At this point I was not really interested in the Xbox 360 / Xbox One i'd mainly been gaming on for many years now. So I ended up going home and finishing up some loose ends on Omega Ruby, Pokemon Y, then going back and finishing Pokemon White, Black 2 and Heart Gold slowly though 2016, collecting all the in game legendaries from past games i knew i'd need for my living Pokedex. My goal was to try and do the Pokedex with myself as the OT for all Pokemon where possible. A friend from Uni and someone i'd known since School all got back in to Pokemon on the 3DS, so we setup a WhatsApp group chat and have randomly been trading online and collecting the Pokemon 20th Anniversary events between us this year. I had various event Pokemon in past games, however i re-visited GEN 3 this year i got talking to HaxAras, we started to project to collect Pokemon GEN 3 Pokemon still in GEN 3 as this seemed to be the only generation where it wasn't possible to get all the event Pokemon. GEN 1 and 2 had so few events, and most events for the WiFi games onward had been pretty well preserved on Project Pokemon. So fast forward to today im still hooked on Pokemon, playing through Pokemon Moon when time allows, i've currently just got to the start of the 4th island. Once i've finished that im going to keep working on my living Pokedex in GEN 6, which after importing from previous games I think I have around 600 of 721, or 600 of 820 when we can finally import in to Sun / Moon. A future long term goal is to do a living dex in GEN 3 as i'm still very much interested in that, especially in obtaining all the event Pokemon. Which is why i think the release of the 10ANNIV Distribution Cartridge by Deoxyz the other day is pretty awesome. I think for me I keep coming back to Pokemon as i love the collecting aspect of the game, plus the fact you can trade Pokemon up from all previous games in to the current generation of games, allowing you to still use all the Pokemon you put so much time in to going back many years. I personally can't wait to be able to import Pokemon from GEN 1 to GEN 7 as i have my saves from my childhood Red and Yellow on my 3DS waiting. I'm really hoping Nintendo release Gold / Silver and Crystal on the 3DS next year, so we finally have a way of importing Pokemon from all previous games in to the current generation, even if you do need to do a bit of hacking to get your old saves on the 3DS. Needless to say i'm pretty much hooked and can't see that changing any time soon now, especially with playing Pokemon Go with friends and family. So how did you get in to Pokemon? what do you like about Pokemon? and what's kept you interested in Pokemon over the years?
  20. What would the best tools be to extract the multiboot roms from a cartridge if you dont mind me asking?
  21. Great work in getting the site up and running again, also congratulation to all the staff promoted! I have a script I've created to backup my own site that will dump MySQL databases and 7z a copy of the wwwroot, before transferring it off site to an SFTP server. If your running Windows on your webserver your welcome to a copy of that if its of any help.
  22. 037 - Alolan Vulpix: 038 - Alolan Ninetales: Pokemon Sun Exclusives
  23. The friend safari subreddit might help: https://www.reddit.com/r/friendsafari/ - it's pretty easy to get people to add you quickly there, however finding exactly what you want can be a waiting game. Can you backup / restore individual friends with homebrew? or does it have to be the whole list.
  24. Good luck! I've also entered the Eurogamer one, however can't realistically go even if I did win. It would be 4+ hours to London on a train for me, on a day I wouldn't be able to get off work. On the remote chance I do actually win your more than welcome to my ticket.
