  1. You can actually view that page on Google Cache still, click the little down arrow at the end of the URL: Google Cache doesn't last for long however so here's the important bits: World Championships 2010 Crobat World Championships 2009 Weavile Interesting the distributions were both Wireless and Slot 2, maybe with so many DS's in the same place wireless was unreliable, so the Slot 2 distributions were used as a backup.
  2. I'm always really curious how people got in to Pokemon and what people enjoy about the games. This post ended up a lot longer than I expected, however I hope you enjoy the read and i'd be interested in knowing you got in to Pokemon. I remember back in 1999 I had two friends who's granddad / grandma lived at the bottom of my street, they used to usually stop there for a night each weekend. Usually they would come up to see me and my brother or we would go down to their grandparents to see them. Anyway one weekend one of them had a new GameBoy game, this been Pokemon Red, after he told me how you could collect 150 Pokemon, trade, battle and evolve them, I was amazed. A few months later I had enough money saved to buy the game ,so I did. I got Red and my Brother got Blue. I remember all 4 of us used to play the games loads, eventually between us finishing the Pokedex. I eventually got an action replay to we could all get Mew, we had heard all the rumours about him been under a truck and so on, however no one really knew if they were true or not. You have to remember this is back in 1999. Internet access wasn't exactly everywhere then. Our family had dialup internet which myself and my brother were allowed to use for 1 hour each on a weekend, as it was quite expensive back then. I think thats how i found out you could use 0115D8CF (the only gameshark code i can remember) on a gameshark / action replay to turn all wild Pokemon in to Mew. With that in mind i got a gameshark, no one believed I had Mew, when i proved it they all wanted one, so I ended up trading a lot of Mews to people back then! Through the limited internet access we had back then my friend who got me in to Pokemon told me he knew someone who had this new Pokemon game that was out in Japan called Pokemon Gold and could play it on his PC with something called an Emulator. None of us really had any idea what was back then, however we managed to find a Geocities website with a download of NO$GMB and a partially translated JPN Pokemon Gold Rom. This was like wow, mind blown. Their was so many new Pokemon, the game was in colour and two of us could play at the same time using the NO$GMB emulator and trade Pokemon. Needless to say beyond the first couple of towns / cities the game only had the menus translated, however we still pretty much got the first 8 gym badges, not really understanding much of the story, but just been amazed by all these new Pokemon no one really knew anything about. I remember we copied the emulator and partially translated Pokemon Gold on to a floppy disk so my friends could play it at their granddads and at home too, as they didn't have internet access at the time. This was around a year and a half before the game was officially released in Europe. Shortly after the game was released in the US, an independent shop in our town must have imported lots of copies from the US and started selling them. They sold out however reserved us some copies for when they next got a shipment in, I think this would have been around Christmas in 2000 ish. Needless to say we had the game months before it came out in Europe. Still to this day i have my save game and need around 9 Pokemon to complete the Pokedex, I really should try and do that sometime! After Pokemon Gold / Silver i think we all kind of lost interest in Pokemon, partially due to not been able to trade up Pokemon to Ruby / Sapphire from previous games and with School / College taking up a lot more time than it used to. I still purchased Pokemon Ruby in 2003 when it was released in the UK, however no one I knew was really interested in Pokemon by then, I lost interest myself never actually finished Ruby until years later. In 2007 after having various jobs i decided to Uni, which is when i got in to Pokemon again. I was on a Computing related course where my coursemates also loved the Pokemon games when they were younger. I think we ended up talking about Pokemon one day, realised we all had an Nintendo DS so we went out and purchased Pokemon Diamond / Pearl. By this time Pokemon had the one thing we all agreed we wanted as kids, online trading! In free time between lectures we used to go have some food and play Pokemon together, after finishing Diamond and Pearl we went back and finished Ruby / Sapphire and the Leaf Green / Fire Red remakes. This kept us all interested in Pokemon until 2010 when Heart Gold / Soul Silver were released, we all agreed these would be the best Pokemon games ever, as we all thought Gold / Silver we're the best game when we were younger. Sadly they came out at such an awful time for us, it was our final few weeks at Uni before exams started, so i think we played it for one weekend solid, got to around the Pokemon League with the first 8 gym badges. After that Uni was basically over, we graduated and after summer everyone went home, 100's of miles apart. I purchased Pokemon White when that was released in 2011, however all i did was get 1 gym badge and download the Victini WiFi event. I'd literally just started a new job a few weeks before so Pokemon wasn't really on my mind back then. In 2013 i got a 3DS XL for Christmas, along with a copy of Pokemon Y. I played that quite a bit at Christmas but never really got hooked on Pokemon again. I then got Pokemon Omega Ruby a year later and really enjoyed that, I wouldn't say i got totally hooked on Pokemon but i did finish it. It was Christmas 2015, I happened to be at a family gathering with some cousins who were playing it, one of my cousins was working on a living Pokedex and I just thought i've always wanted to do that in Pokemon why have i never bothered? At this point I was not really interested in the Xbox 360 / Xbox One i'd mainly been gaming on for many years now. So I ended up going home and finishing up some loose ends on Omega Ruby, Pokemon Y, then going back and finishing Pokemon White, Black 2 and Heart Gold slowly though 2016, collecting all the in game legendaries from past games i knew i'd need for my living Pokedex. My goal was to try and do the Pokedex with myself as the OT for all Pokemon where possible. A friend from Uni and someone i'd known since School all got back in to Pokemon on the 3DS, so we setup a WhatsApp group chat and have randomly been trading online and collecting the Pokemon 20th Anniversary events between us this year. I had various event Pokemon in past games, however i re-visited GEN 3 this year i got talking to HaxAras, we started to project to collect Pokemon GEN 3 Pokemon still in GEN 3 as this seemed to be the only generation where it wasn't possible to get all the event Pokemon. GEN 1 and 2 had so few events, and most events for the WiFi games onward had been pretty well preserved on Project Pokemon. So fast forward to today im still hooked on Pokemon, playing through Pokemon Moon when time allows, i've currently just got to the start of the 4th island. Once i've finished that im going to keep working on my living Pokedex in GEN 6, which after importing from previous games I think I have around 600 of 721, or 600 of 820 when we can finally import in to Sun / Moon. A future long term goal is to do a living dex in GEN 3 as i'm still very much interested in that, especially in obtaining all the event Pokemon. Which is why i think the release of the 10ANNIV Distribution Cartridge by Deoxyz the other day is pretty awesome. I think for me I keep coming back to Pokemon as i love the collecting aspect of the game, plus the fact you can trade Pokemon up from all previous games in to the current generation of games, allowing you to still use all the Pokemon you put so much time in to going back many years. I personally can't wait to be able to import Pokemon from GEN 1 to GEN 7 as i have my saves from my childhood Red and Yellow on my 3DS waiting. I'm really hoping Nintendo release Gold / Silver and Crystal on the 3DS next year, so we finally have a way of importing Pokemon from all previous games in to the current generation, even if you do need to do a bit of hacking to get your old saves on the 3DS. Needless to say i'm pretty much hooked and can't see that changing any time soon now, especially with playing Pokemon Go with friends and family. So how did you get in to Pokemon? what do you like about Pokemon? and what's kept you interested in Pokemon over the years?
  3. What would the best tools be to extract the multiboot roms from a cartridge if you dont mind me asking?
  4. Great work in getting the site up and running again, also congratulation to all the staff promoted! I have a script I've created to backup my own site that will dump MySQL databases and 7z a copy of the wwwroot, before transferring it off site to an SFTP server. If your running Windows on your webserver your welcome to a copy of that if its of any help.
  5. 037 - Alolan Vulpix: 038 - Alolan Ninetales: Pokemon Sun Exclusives
  6. The friend safari subreddit might help: https://www.reddit.com/r/friendsafari/ - it's pretty easy to get people to add you quickly there, however finding exactly what you want can be a waiting game. Can you backup / restore individual friends with homebrew? or does it have to be the whole list.
  7. Good luck! I've also entered the Eurogamer one, however can't realistically go even if I did win. It would be 4+ hours to London on a train for me, on a day I wouldn't be able to get off work. On the remote chance I do actually win your more than welcome to my ticket.
  8. QR Codes for Generation 7 Pokemon Sun / Moon - Scanning codes doesn't give you the Pokemon, they just appear on the Pokedex map for you to find and catch, starters however are not found in the wild.
  9. If possible i'd certainly find this useful, i'd like to edit the name / ot of my party Pokemon on some of the older games, however it's not possible to edit the OT on Heart Gold's Hall of Fame for example.
  10. This is a guide I created, with screenshots of how I got my saves (dumped with a GB Transfer 2) on to my 3DS: Pokemon GameBoy / Rom Save Transfer To 3DS [Red, Blue, Yellow & Green] To follow my guide above you will need a 3DS running Custom Firmware (CFW), Google "Plailect 3DS Guide" and you will find a very detailed guide on how to downgrade to 9.2 and setup CFW, after that your good to go. If you are new to console hacking it might look at bit complicated at first, however if you do your research and read the guides mentioned a few times you could easily do it in an afternoon I think.
  11. I actually have your save on my Japanese Green Pokemon 2DS, i've downloaded Pokebank, however never used it. I was hoping i'd still be able to get a trial of it when Sun / Moon are out so I could import the Mew and some other Pokemon I have on JPN GEN 1. It would be interesting to see if the Mew on GEN 7 is identical if we both imported it. I'm guessing a lot of data required in later generations will be randomly generated. I have a Pokebank subscription on my PAL 3DS XL, as you say it's a question of if Pokebank will allow you to import from a JPN game on a PAL console, which is obviously normally not possible without CFW. Also, slightly off topic. I presume the Mew you can get for GEN 6 from the 2DS consoles in Japan has been contributed? (I think it has from what I can see). If not i'm yet to redeem my code so could happily do so if not. I have Alpha Sapphire on my JPN 3DS with the in game language set to English.
  12. theSLAYER contributed it here
  13. Heart Gold is an amazing remake, I kinda wished I played that when all the WiFi functionality worked on it. I played the first GEN through so many times, the second i need about 9 Pokemon to finish all 251 in the Pokedex, then i kinda lost interest in the 3rd gen. I got back in to Pokemon at University as some course mates were playing Diamond and Pearl, we all got hooked on that. I then went back and finished Ruby and Leaf green. After that I pre-orderd HeartGold from the US and got it about a week before it came out here in the UK. However I was in my final year of University at the time and had so much work to do, i played it for a weekend and got 6x gym badges, that was it i never touched it again until 2016. For some reason I got Pokemon White on release day, did one gym badge and never played anymore due to having just started a new job at the time. What got me back in to Pokemon was getting a 3DS and Pokemon Y for Christmas in 2013, however it wasn't until getting Omega Ruby in 2014 i totally got hooked again like when I was a kid. I finished Omega Ruby, went back and finished Y, i then finished White earlier this year, I then finished Black 2 last week, catching all the legendary Pokemon. Now as of last night i'm currently at the Pokemon League on Heart Gold. So basically in the last year or so I have gone through all the past Pokemon games i missed over the years, so I have near enough finished a game in every pair of games released. My plan is to then import everything in to Pokebank and work on a living Pokedex using as many as my Pokemon from past games as possible, ready to be imported in to Pokemon Moon. Playing Pokemon again with a couple of mates this last year has been the most gaming fun i've had in a long time. Needless to say i'm totally hooked on the Pokemon games again now!
  14. It's a very old video, created back in 2010.
  15. I appreciate your feedback, this is maybe where you can teach me something here, you say. I presuming the PID is something that can't be seen in game and you need some sort of 3rd party tool for this? I have been checking the info I can find about the events, then comparing it to the Pokemon in question. For example in regards to Regice theirs information about the event on Bulbapedia about it, I have checked this against the Pokemon in question: Maybe i dont know as much about checking the legitimacy of Pokemon as what is possible. If so then my mistake i believed I was doing the best that was possible. However if more checks can be done with tools and such then this is something i need to learn, so would probably be best to remove the save for now. I'd been reading up on the events here: List of English event Pokémon distributions in Generation III List of Japanese event Pokémon distributions in Generation III List of Journey Across America event Pokémon distributions (10 ANIV) List of Party of the Decade event Pokémon distributions List of PCNY event Pokémon distributions in Generation III Pokémon Colosseum Bonus Disc
  16. This is a project I started working on a few months go, then shared on my own site where it gained some interest from members on here also. I have decided to cross post here in the hope more people might want to get involved. HaxAras who is also a member of Project Pokemon has easily contributed as many hours as I have in putting this save community save of GEN 3 Event Pokemon together, this has essentially become our personal project. The goal of this project is to have a community save which contains as many Legit GEN 3 event Pokemon as possible, which are still in GEN 3. This is easier said than done as a lot of people have since palparked them in to newer Pokemon games. This save is for an English copy of Pokemon Fire Red (UK and US tested), however you should be able to restore the save to other language versions of Pokemon Fire Red also. Credits: Although I started and have probably put around 40+ hours in to this project so far, it would be nothing without the massive contributions from the following people. HaxAras - Continued help with developing this save, HaxAras has contributed many Pokemon from his personal collection and purchased additional hardware to enable him to contribute more. vi3t - Publicly posted Pokemon Fire Red Save this is based on, which contained some nice event Pokemon. Big Mike - Contributed event's to HaxAras King Impoleon - Publicly posted Aura Mew Box, Space Center Deoxys Box and Doel Deoxys. Nigol - 111 Ageto Celebi GameFaqs - Random saves on there uploaded many years ago contained some legit event Pokemon in this save Download: Pokemon GEN3 Legit Event Pokemon Save Download Want to contribute? If you have some GEN 3 event Pokemon you would like to contribute then please do get in touch. I can work with GBA Pokemon Saves from any region, Pokemon Box Ruby & Sapphire saves from any region or even .g3pkm files.
  17. You might be better just using a homebrew enabled 3DS to backup / restore saves in the future if at all possible. If you have a 3DS you can simply use the homebrew app TWLSaveTool to backup / restore DS saves to and from the SD card inside the 3DS. No messing about disabling driver signing enforcement on modern versions of Windows, or with tools designed for legacy operating systems.
  18. If you look on Web Archive at the old site I found the download links which used to be on it still work. With that in mind i've mirrored everything and provided some screenshots of each app: Pikaedit GEN 4, GEN 5 & XY Download The version of Pikaedit GEN 4 i found seems to be newer than the compiled version in the source code bundle, however Pikaedit XY in the source code bundle is newer than the last released version on the old site. Pikaedit GEN 5 looks to be the same as the one provided in the source code bundle.
  19. I'm presuming you have to call them up / email them to start the process then? I can't speak Italian, however their's always Google Translate. I'd certainly be interested in trying with an English version of a GBA Pokemon game, i imagine getting Nintendo to post the game outside of Italy will be the hard thing though. Alternatively maybe someone could send you / someone in Italy an English Pokemon GBA game to try with? or someone in Italy could buy a cheap English Pokemon GBA game on Ebay to try with.
  20. How did you know where to send the game carts to? maybe Nintendo still does this in the UK / other countries for example. If not maybe we could send a English copy of the game to Nintendo in Italy, I guess if someone outside Italy did that then getting Nintendo to post it back might be the issue there.
  21. That's why i'm hoping eventually the GEN2 games will be released as downloadable games on the Eshop, with Pokebank support. When Sun / Moon are released it will be pretty awesome that you can import Pokemon from GEN1, i'll finally be able to have my 16+ year old GEN1 Pokemon in a current game, would be even more awesome if that was eventually possible in GEN2, as you could play any Pokemon game and have a legit way of transferring the Pokemon in to the current generation of games.
  22. No worries, we're all friends here trying to help each other out where possible
  23. From looking at that thread you didn't post the Mew until yesterday? Regardless i'm not looking for an argument or even bothered about any credit. The real credit goes to wilykat from the EverDrive forums who i mentioned in my original post. All I did was take a random save files hidden deep in a forum thread, confirm the Mew was legit to the best of my ability and make a topic so it's easily accessible to all. I used TBG Dual, trading with VBA-M seems to corrupt both save files for me (On Windows 10 anyway), no problems at all with TBG Dual, I even managed to import the Mew in to Pokemon Gold perfectly fine. As it works in Red i'd say the problem is probably with Yellow, otherwise it would have been rejected when you tried with Red.
  24. Which is fine, you have 9.2 so can use the web browser exploit to launch your Gateway and also to launch a custom firmware such as RxTools. Do you not have an Emunand setup for your Gateway yet? you really don't need to use your 9.2 System Nand anymore. You can boot in to a 10.7 Emulated Nand (EmuNand) with your Gateway or RxTools and use the Eshop as normal. The "proper" file size is actually 9.8mb with the manual, however I believe the manual only works with custom firmware which is why you might find versions with the manual removed that they can work with Gateway. My System Nand is on 9.2, I have then setup an Emunand with Gateway and installed BigBlueBox (CIA installer) on to the Emunand. I then simply use the RxTools Custom Firmware with Homemenuhax. The end result been I power my 3DS on and it boots directly in to a 10.7 (or what ever the latest version is) Emunand, so I can update as normal, play my legit game cartridges and also install .cia content. If you use a custom firmware such as RxTools instead of Gateway for example you can also use two incredible useful apps to backup and restore your 3DS and DS save games. SaveDataFiler - This will allow you to backup 3DS save games from your legit cartridges and CIA content such as CIA 3DS games and Virtual Console content such as the Pokemon games. TWLSaveTool - This will allow you to back save games from legit DS game cartridges with ease, including games with had additional protection such as Heart Gold / Soul Silver, Black / White and Black / White 2. With both of the above apps you can restore save games the same way you backed them up, making it incredibly easy to backup and move about DS and 3DS save games. Additional reading: Pokemon GameBoy / Rom Save Transfer To 3DS Nintendo DS Save Game Backup Using The Nintendo 3DS I realise the above is a bit off topic, however I hope it helps you out with the classic Pokemon games on your 3DS
  25. Yup it's his save / Mew as mentioned. You can only see / download when logged in and registered so i've shared / mirrored the save else where in the hope's it will be around for years to come. That's my plan, the Mew is already on my 3DS copy of Pokemon red. I hope i'll be able to transfer it over to Moon / Sun along with all my other GEN1 Pokemon I caught 16 years ago. Indeed that's what I had done many years ago on my Yellow save, it's the same end result as going through Pokemon stadium which has been the only way to ever get a surfing Pikachu outside Japan for GEN1. So we have the only western GEN1 event Pokemon archived, however GEN1 in Japan had a few more event Pokemon in addition to Mew, including a flying Pikachu: Nintendo 64 Pikachu - This Surfing Pikachu was distributed to 10,000 players by presenting a lottery ticket obtained from purchasing a Nintendo 64. CoroCoro Pikachu (Surfing and Flying) - This Surfing Pikachu promotion was revealed in the October issue of CoroCoro Comics, and the later Flying Pikachu promotion was revealed in the November issue. However, there were only 20 Pikachu available at each promotion. University Magikarp - This Magikarp with the special move Dragon Rage was available for 20 players through the "Tamamushi University Hyper Test" campaign in magazines published by Shogakukan, along with the rare Magikarp card, which is based on this Pokémon. Pokémon Stamp Pokémon - Two Pokémon, Fearow and Rapidash, with the special move Pay Day were available through the Pokémon Stamp campaign that ran in various magazines published by Shogakukan. I'd say the chances of any of those event Pokemon ever making their way online and then to an English speaking website such as Project Pokemon are almost none, especially the University Magikarp and Flying Pikachu. Never say never though.
