  1. I would reverse engineer it, put copies on lots of random Pokémon, and use the resulting experience to quickly train an army to storm evil organizations like Team Skull or the Illuminati. (The army will consist of volunteer Pokémon. I'm not a complete monster.) What would you do with 10 bars of GLORIOUS GOLD!!!!! (Mystery Dungeon reference, for those who are unaware.)
  2. Sorry for the delay. These categories are now a thing.
  3. There've been many reports of bans based on getting max items. If you want to use the inventory editor, try to either keep it legal enough that the items could have been obtained legitimately, or just avoid going online.
  4. I ban wrathsoffire76 for not having the courage to ban me. (That is the point of the thread after all )
  5. I ban coltonsmogon for banning himself. That's my job
  6. The main series's world has Pokémon in a lower social class of sorts. I doubt that the Pokémon in the Pokémon world would even want to come to a human-run world (unless it was your partner, but the player would likely shield the partner from that sort of thing.) Added the sub-categories, made them public, and moved the existing events to the appropriate sections. Let me know if you need anything else.
  7. But then this Celebi wouldn't be quite as special. Unless it was the same one... *starts waiting for a Main Series/Mystery Dungeon crossover* I can add sections for other generations if you want, just let me know what language sub-sections we'll need. As for the Gen 3 section, should I make it public now (and if yes, do you want any sub-sections for it)?
  8. Version 0.1.0

    2073 downloads

This experimental console application can extract files from NDS ROMs. The best part is that it's made with .Net Core and is by extension cross-platform (without needing any frameworks to be installed). It currently cannot rebuild NDS ROMs, but ndstool should be able to accept the files this tool creates. Usage (Windows): ToolkitConsoleCore.exe <ROM> <OutputDirectory> Usage (Linux): ToolkitConsoleCore <ROM> <OutputDirectory> Since I don't have a Mac, I can't say what the OSX usage is. If anyone wants builds for other OS's, I can theoretically provide them if your OS is listed here. Note: The file size being over 100MB is the result of 8 platform-specific builds being uploaded. After you click Download, just choose the one you want and the it will only be 20MB max.
  9. In that case, they might just be programmatically analyzing the save file from different points in time to determine if anything has changed that cannot be changed in the game. Other reports included how all items were obtained; maybe it's not possible to get max of every item. Maybe the item-based bans were actually a result of a small subset of items obtained. I mean, it's theoretically possible to get max Pokéballs, but probably not max Master Balls (or can Master Balls be farmed in S/M?).
  10. I don't know all the details, but it sounds like some of the bans are the result of in-game cheating (i.e. not cheating during battles or anything; only things like getting max items). Because of how game sync works, they have access to the entire save file and can detect things like this when users do things online besides cheating.
  11. That moment when two people make a thread for the same thing.

You posted first (and frankly, your version's better), so yours wins!

      Sorry about that!
I did plagiarize use Xorhash's format from the previous banning fiasco ><

I should be the one apologizing.  Mine was posted like 4 minutes after yours; I should have figured someone else would post breaking news like that.

I wasn't too sure if anyone would post it,
also you were likely already drafting it, within those 4 minutes ><

  12. Psychic/Fire it is. Its moveset could consist of Calm Mind and Scald (unusual for a fire type, but it works).
  13. You need homebrew in order to get access to the save file. Why are you unable to install homebrew? It should be functional on 11.3. Related reading:
  14. Psychic for the mental focus that tea gives, something else for all the caffeine. Not sure what would best fit.
  15. I'm not aware of anything he's done that's grounds for impeachment. The plans tearing the country apart is more the fault of the people than Trump, I think. The people involved with the "not my president" movement seem like immature crybabies that didn't get their way. Trump's the president now, whether they like it or not, and there is no legal way to change that so long as he doesn't do anything blatantly illegal. People have this false idea that he's going to legitimately ruin the country, deporting all the immigrants. (They don't seem to realize that only the illegal immigrants need to worry, since coming here without going through the proper channels is a crime. The first time is a misdemeanor, but coming back illegally after being deported is a felony.) Trump has said enough controversial and crazy (and sometimes offensive) things to become this unpopular, but I'm not sure he deserves as much hate as he's getting. (And just to be clear, I'm not a Trump supporter. It's just that he gets so much hate that people are kinda making me defend him.)
  16. It will be 4-Teakay (bad pronunciation of 40K). Some sort of Pokémon holding 4 cups of tea at once maybe.
  17. AFAIK, constants are needed for certain commands in scripts. It's probably best to not touch them without knowing a lot more about what's going on. Certain commands that accept them might be listed in the wiki. Strings (which are basically the same as constants but are used differently) should be safe to modify.
  18. If you have the European version, then follow what suloku said. If you have the North American version, then you have two options: Acquire the European version (you'll need homebrew or CFW to play it on a North American console). ROM hacking - Requires CFW or homebrew. I haven't tested this and certain non-English characters might not display properly. Dump your ROM with Decrypt9, making sure it's completely decrypted. If you only have homebrew, use braindump. Extract the ROM using my .Net 3DS Toolkit. Swap the romfs/message_us.bin and romfs/message_sp.bin files. Repack the ROM using .Net 3DS Toolkit. Rebuilding as a CIA is probably easier (install it with FBI - it will delete your existing game/save if you have the digital version). HANS will work with either, since you can use the homebrew launcher loader cia from CFW. Try it out and report back how well it works.
  19. We probably won't have to worry about that. If we get 150 new Pokemon in future games every 3 years (50 Pokémon per year), and if we somehow live in this world for an additional 100 years, there will only be 5000 additional Pokémon. We'll never see the 40,000th (probably).
  20. Now that I'm back on a desktop computer and not a phone, time to actually voice some opinions. That's a loaded statement. Is there anything in particular he has done or plans to do that you don't agree with. I think for the most part, what he plans to accomplish in his first 100 days sounds good at least. Whether or not he accomplishes it all or not is to be determined, but the most likely thing would be reversing executive orders. I was actually surprised that some of Obama's executive orders are effectively the opposite of what his job was as president (to enforce the lay), namely the ones regarding not doing anything about illegal immigration. The president does have the power to launch nukes at pretty much any time. (CNN article describing some of the details.) The unjustified use of them would likely result in retaliation by other countries, so let's hope no one is stupid enough to cause another world war (and with nukes, that could eventually lead to the extinction of humanity). While Trump does seem like a wild card, he seems sane enough to avoid using them unless absolutely necessary. Care to post a few examples? Yeah, most notably the travel ban that has good intentions but bad implementation. The first one was definitely a mess and is probably for the best that it was blocked. The most recent one with better implementation I'm not sure I completely agree with its reversal. Hawaii was opposed to it due to tourism, since the judge that blocked it is Hawaiian, it seems like he's representing the state instead of the nation, opening the doors to potential terrorists so that more money can be made. The president has the authority to regulate immigration, and I feel the judge's arguments were a bit weak. (And the ban is only temporary - long enough to allow better vetting procedures to be installed.) On a side note, I don't think that threatening messages are ever appropriate (except maybe in the most extreme situations - I can't think of any but don't want to flat-out say they're never appropriate), but it's not unsurprising that the judge has received some threats. He did, after all, block an executive order designed to limit terrorists coming from areas with lots of terrorism, so that a state that's separated from most of the country can get some more money.
  21. Older versions can be found here. If you want to use any of the newer features, you'll need to use a newer operating system.
  22. That's how it's always worked though. Congress makes the laws, the president enforces them (and can pass executive orders to help enforce them), and the Supreme Court interprets them (and settles disputes).
  23. Pretty sure this thread used to be locked (or maybe it just dies due to no more replies - it's hard to say since it was so long ago), but as long as discussion remains civil, I'll allow it to continue. I agree to an extent. As a technicality, the 6 days refer to the earth specifically, mentioning nothing of the time between the heavens & earth being created and the first day. Some believe God created the earth in literally 6 days, asserting that because the word "day" means what we think it does in the rest of Genesis, it means the same thing in the first chaper. However, the first chapter is written as poetry, so I think "day" here means "an indeterminate period of time", which easily fits the big bang theory, defined as an effect of the universe being created, while saying nothing of the cause. I say that the cause is God.
  24. My word, that was a lot of reported posts - let's say that if an entire thread is report-worthy, just make one report for the thread while mentioning other posts need review as well. As for the warn points, no action will be taken until you reach 100 points, which I really don't think you'll reach in less than a month. (And even I got some minor infractions in the past.) For some reason, all of the threads that were locked in vBulletin are unlocked during the migration, so it's very likely the thread was locked at one point. I see no reason to hide or delete the threads, since many of the posts weren't that bad in my opinion (until they devolved into flame wars). I didn't look at all of the reports (thanks for taking care of them, @theSLAYER), but the few I looked at simply expressed an opinion. Because of the controversial topic, it's very easy to offend someone without meaning to. Sometimes people will be offended just by hearing an idea they don't agree with. In my personal opinion (and I am not officially speaking for Project Pokémon), I believe that moderator action should only be taken against those who are intentionally trying to offend or are clearly flaming. After all, the U.S. constitution guarantees free speech, and while Project Pokémon is not necessarily bound by U.S. law, I believe we should keep this right to an extent: we should be free to express honest opinions about things without consequence, but we should make a reasonable effort to not be intentionally offensive. There's a bit of give and take on each side. Imagine a debate about the existence of God and the fundamentals of Christianity. If I were to say that Jesus is the only way to heaven (aka what happens after life in this world), there would likely be at least one person to be offended, since this statement in the Bible opposes every other religion out there; however, by saying that I would not have gone out of my way to try to offend anyone; it's an honest belief. In the same way, everyone else would be free to disagree, explaining why they think otherwise. And who knows what interesting ideas could come from that discussion. (Unfortunately people tend to get emotional after a while of being called "wrong" and start intentionally offending. Then the whole thing devolves into a flame war, warranting moderator action. Let's see if we can do better if/when there's another debate out there.) I'm going to close this thread now, because while pretty much anything is up for discussion in the debate forum, moderator actions are not. If anyone has any questions regarding reporting posts warnings, feel free to PM a moderator like myself.
  25. Would it be a stretch to say that Pokémon looks 40,000 years old? That'd kinda be on-topic.
