  1. Are the ribbons the only change you did? Do you have any unedited copies?
  2. “Safely”. Things to note: - Only HOME can issue legitimate HOME trackers - they use the trackers to track Pokémon that has went through HOME. Right now, it doesn’t appear that they catch users who deposit mons that should have had a HOME tracker. They have the capabilities to do so, but they’re not doing that right now, and we’re unsure if they will ever do so. So how ‘safe’ is that, and how much risk you want to take, is up to your own prerogative. And no, you can’t change the location. Whatever it shows up as in game, and whatever location the data actually has, is not meant to be changed by any user.
  3. And if you take the edited mons and remove the ribbons, does it go back to normal?
  4. I’ve yet to look at the Pokémon, but ignoring ‘mystery zone’ BS, what were their origin games? Location header in game follows origin games (if it’s a transferred mon)
  5. It is all pushed up or pushed down, I can’t remember, it’s been a while. I’m not thinking about it, but I’ll consider it.
  6. Yeah it probably is the right file. I’ll get to it when I get home.
  7. @MahinTheMachine the save, not the ROM. Sharing of ROMs is against our rules. It’s a .SAV, not .GBA
  8. Below, I’ll be quoting you part by part and replying to them separately. I’ve amended what I said in this portion before I posted it. Refer to the Marowak response below. For many SWSH encounters, EC-PID-IVs-HT-WT are correlated. You change one of them, the correlation breaks. That’s the error message you got. basically either change them all to a legal combination based on the correlation, or don’t change them at all. Same issue as above. Hidden Abilities cannot be changed to regular abilities in-game, so what you did is not legal. If you want a non-HA copy, gotta use a different encounter.
  9. Randomise your game as per usual, start the game, receive the starter. Then provide us with the save.
  10. Farfetch'd has always had silly issues with the apostrophe. I can confirm one I just caught in BW has that issue. 083 - Farfetch'd - 02BB9CB1964C.pk5 I know the one transferred from Pokémon GO is intentionally flagged as illegal due to them using the wrong apostrophe, but I don't know if this is one of those.
  11. Use the non-English one from the Mystery Gift database from the get go. In order to do that, you should load the gift using a save of that intended language (i.e. in your example, non-English.) Each language has a different OT, so if you merely change the language of the mon without matching it with a corresponding OT, it will naturally be illegal.
  12. Only the 2017 OG model + 1-2 years thereabouts can get homebrew easily. The Mariko units and Switch Lite can get homebrew, but require hard mods. Either way you'll need homebrew to get to your save
  13. they probably edit it through PKHeX. Just because a mon is illegal doesn't mean the mon can't be used. Just because PKHeX flags it illegal doesn't mean it stops you from saving. Sadly those punks probably just use PKHeX.
  14. I can't remember off the top of my head. If you were to search 6IVs, but not indicate any nature, see what shows up. Given Pokefinder also filters the species entries by route and encounter slots, it may not be truly possible for every encounter to have 6IVs, which is another thing that would stand in your way. Once again, I urge you to consider dropping flawless IVs.
  15. Pikachu (and evolved Raichu in other Gen 1 games) caught in Yellow's catch rate should be 190. I'm assuming it's 163 cause it was traded to Gen 2, which in that case the identification is probably normal. edit: I got it the other way round. Starter catch rate is 163, regular is 190. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_by_catch_rate edit again: I literally only just saw Kaphotic's post lol. edit 3: @Kaphotics I may have gotten the 163/190 logic swapped around, however I'll like to point out that PKHeX is indeed flagging my Lv 5 190 Catch rate copy as illegal. 025 - PIKACHU - E9D3.pk1
  16. Wild encounters on older Gens have about only 6 possible natures for Flawless IVs. I would imagine you're probably using one of the natures it can't possibly have (for flawless IVs). A few alternatives: - Just hyper train the mon (if the mon is physically in Gen 7 and above). Functionally 6IVs in battle. - Hatch the mon, instead of using a wild encounter variant - Avoid using mon's caught in Gen 3/4/8 games altogether. For Gen 3/4 mons, many of them can be caught in other games. - Give up on 6 flawless IVs. Have 1 or 2 of the IVs be random. This would allow you to use other natures. - For mon's caught in Gen 3/4, disable shininess checking when first finding the PIDIV combo. Find the PIDIV combo first, then find a corresponding TIDSID that would allow shininess (I think that's in the guide too)
  17. The catch rate being 190 is correct for Yellow Pikachu. We're not supposed to change it. I have this issue on the latest dev build I got it the other way round, read here: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_by_catch_rate
  18. In the end, shiny Wish probably isn't a good idea to recreate. Anyhow, I'm locking this thread.
  19. Shiny charm can make the odds better, and that can be added via save editing. If you want better odds, you gotta be ROM editing.
  20. PKHeX loads your save just fine, so I would assume it is fine..
  21. Not a game code reader, but this is roughly what I understand for the segments I know (anything segment not mentioned is something I do not know): SWSH Egg odds: To my understanding it doesn't force the PID to become shiny, it merely rerolls. Once you land on a shiny, regular 1/16 to be square, 15/16 to be star. SWSH overworld/wild shinies: The game first calculates whether you would encounter a shiny, then compares encounter's PID to your save's TIDSID. You can get square shinies 2 ways: a. You naturally rolled a square shiny PID (rare, effectively double shiny), or b. When the shiny check is 'yes', and you rolled a non-shiny PID, it'll be forced to square. (common) This means you can only get star shiny for this group by: 1. Rolling a 'yes' on the shiny check, then 2. Having the PID + TID/SID combo be star Regular shiny odds are 1/8192 (ignoring any rerolls you may have). Assuming you've hit on 'yes' for the shiny check: Square shiny -> 65521/65536 (Regular square shiny 1/65536 + non-shiny PIDs forced to square 65520/65536) Star shiny -> 15/65536 [So you're effectively rolling for a double shiny: hitting yes on a shiny check, then rolling a star shiny combo naturally] Max Lair shinies: I don't know the odds (if I recall they are regular odds without any boosts), but I do know that when they occur, they can only be star shiny. Max den shinies: The game actually generates a pair of TIDSID that is only used and stored temporarily, which is colloquially called the fake trainer TIDSID. This is used to determine if the mon's PID would be shiny; game matches the fake trainer TIDSID to the mon's PID. If I recall correctly, it follows the standard Square 1/16 and Star 15/16 split (these odds are presuming you land on a shiny, which is 1/8192) It would force the mon's PID to match yours square if the combo is square, and forced star if the combo is star. If I recall they are regular odds without any boosts) BDSP roaming shinies: Similar situation to max den shinies. Ultimately this is one of those 'just encounter it and not worry' type of scenarios. As long as the encounter doesn't restrict it by shiny type, just go for it and not think too much.
  22. Minor corrections vs Major corrections would be my guess. Majority of the Pokemon are probably legal so those doesn't need to be clicked. But some mons had minor corrections so they needed to be viewed and re-set. Mons with major corrections won't be auto-fixed.
  23. The user posted in January and hasn’t been back since January. They presumably found their answer. No need to bump an old ‘off-topic‘ post that can be resolved easily by googling.
  24. Changed link to official Pokémon url, changed some wording. Also corrected the title.
