  1. Well the solution is right there. Update your CFW. Turn off your 3DS. Then turn it on, and immediately hold down the select button while your screen is still dark. What version of Luma3DS does it say you're on? (Top line of top screen) Also, how was it booted? (Bottom line of bottom screen)
  2. no worries, just explain properly what is happening.
  3. what doesn't help at all. Too vague. start up of what. Error of what. What were you doing.
  4. Do you remember how you did it then? Installing the .3DSX version of Checkpoint is exactly the same.
  5. That doesn't really answer how you installed it. What format was the save manager in, .CIA or .3DSX? Did you place the .3DSX in your SD card, or did you install the .CIA using FBI/dev_menu. How did you install it?
  6. How did you install your existing save manager?
  7. Either install the .CIA or use the Homebrew version (the 3dsx)..? How did you install your existing save manager?
  8. Use Checkpoint instead. https://github.com/FlagBrew/Checkpoint/releases Then use Checkpoint to dump fresh saves. Then on your computer, make a copy of a VC Crystal save folder, then replace the sav.dat with your edited copy, then restore that into the game.
  9. Your save backup does not look right. Are you using Checkpoint or JKSM?
  10. The first image. If you're restoring a save for VC, main should not be there.
  11. mind showing me a screenshot of inside the folder you're trying to restore?
  12. and what issue are you having? PKHeX can edit the save just fine.
  13. so that means you have 3DS CFW, yes? Are you trying to edit a VC save, and then replace that VC save, or are you trying to place a save from the emulator into VC?
  14. No, I mean do you have the ability to obtain/restore the save to/from the emulator/cartridge.
  15. were you the fella I've been trying to help on Discord?
  16. In that reply, I’ve already pinged him. So what I’m saying is to just wait.
  17. No clue.
  18. As far as I can tell, the formatting and attachment changed and went missing after our forums got hacked and we had to shift to a different provider. At the point, this user hasn't been online since Sep 2020. Anyhow, if the user does come online, this ping (@ArtemiSerebii) should be enough to notify them. No need to drop a message on their profile or PM them.
  19. why is the fateful encounter not checked?
  20. no worries. If you cannot find a way to dump the save from the fake cart, your next best step is probably trading the mons to a real cart, then extracting the save of the real cart.
  21. Maybe your cart is a fake cart. Checkpoint doesn't handle fake carts properly. Try other extraction methods.
  22. it's not a save. Besides the header for a SMDH file, the rest of the data is practically blank. it is not a save. Of course PKHeX won't let you edit it.
  23. No idea what you're saying. Also, you could simply do .PID=$shiny if you want the mon to be shiny (only do that after TID and SID is changed) Unless it is something not implemented by PKHeX, the problem is 99% the time the user. Either the user wants something not implemented, misunderstands how it works, or typed the wrong thing.
  24. - Shininess is tied to TID and SID, so of course changing that will cause something to unshinify. - Some moves depend on version, and egg moves depends on whether it was an egg to begin with. Of course messing with that messed with the moves.
