  1. You are exaggerating. Very very much. Take minor precautions such as backing up your saves ANYwhere you like. It won't destroy your entire computer. The only way it'd damage anything permanently is if yu has a faulty unit as described previously.
  2. It's not the same event. It's different because it's a different event.
  3. You can keep a backup of your file anywhere you like.
  4. It is? Aren't you simply given that pokemon?
  5. There's no need to do all that. You really need to stop chiming in with your paranoia when it's clear that you really don't know what you're talking about.
  6. If you've read other topics, I'm not sure why you posted it in this sub-forum. The correct place to ask for help would be in the Legality forum, in this thread: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?5325-The-Legality-Question-Check-Thread If you are asking about Pokemon for the things mentioned in that announcement, don't bother asking.
  7. Great, everyone has shared their opinions and everyone understands now, so we can stop this conversation and get back on topic.
  8. Nope, there's no way to do that. And there probably won't, because it would require Game Sync spoofing.
  9. The Eevee distribution from the ticket voucher in the CD Single is now in the Gallery as well. Japanese Gen V Event Gallery
  10. Many? Milotic was once, Metagross was twice, Dragonite was once. And... Milotic was only distributed in Kyushu, and was part of a random distribution. Metagross was a part of that same distribution as well as another random distribution at Pokemon Centers. And Dragonite was a part of that same Pokemon Center distribution. So it shouldn't be said that everyone already has these Pokemon. Even assuming everyone was able to attend, there's no promise that they'd get any of those, specifically. But then... the same can be said for Garchomp. Spritomb seems to be more popular in merchandising than Garchomp these days, anyway. Or it could be because Spiritomb is still pretty hard to obtain, compared with Gabite. There's no place to catch wild ones, and it's only been available through that tedious quest in DPP, the Pokewalker, Dream World, Dream Radar, or an in-game trade in B2W2. There's no easy way to just catch them freely, most methods require outside devices/methods. So maybe that had some reasoning? To make it more appealing than Garchomp? Could also be because there were already two dragon-type Pokemon in this distribution from the specifically dragon-type Champions. Just some ideas.
  11. If you are posting a new news post regarding a newly announced event distribution, please use the following template and fill in any of this information if it is available. This will help keep things neat and organized. Thanks. 12. I updated the first post to include known information. Dunno, but maybe because Garchomp had been distributed recently?
  13. Here are my very limited photos of today's event. No photography was allowed, so I was only able to snap a picture of the stage before everything started. It was more interesting than I expected. Before Ikimono-gakari played the movie's theme song, they had a panel with voice actors including Satoshi's, Mewtwo's, that old comedian duo I don't like, the host of Oha Suta, and Shoko Nakagawa (from Pokemon Sunday/Smash and voice of Ninfia). The director of the movie was also there. Looking forward, I also purchase the single that included the ticket to exchange for another of these Eevees. I'll be going to the Pokemon Center on Monday (to play the new Fes Mission event) and will pick up the Eevee there to see if there are any differences from the one distributed at the concert.
  14. I was planning on attending this event to play the demo anyway, so yes.
  15. Nothing will happen. We will keep on doing what we do. Lots of awesome progress and research is happening in Gen V still. As for the "event trading" world... If it is not possible to extract files or clone pkm or anything at all like that, I can tell you that the number of people trading their events away (anywhere, not just here) will be extremely few. And as for the developers making it impossible to do anything... Is there any precedent for any kind of further encryption on a game save other than the standard encryption present on every game?
  16. I've moved several posts to this new thread. In regards to events, wouldn't we only need to be concerned with the encryption on save files?
  17. The .pgf"]Japanese Searcher Piplup, which was missing for some time, has been contributed by a user. Details in the Japanese Gen V Gallery page.
  18. Have you tried using it? Does it give you the game's OT when you use it? Or does it work properly? This may be a mistake with Pokegen. Edit: Nevermind, I looked at it and it's a problem with the pgt. I'll figure this out. Edit again: Aaaand, I've reuploaded it. It should be okay now.
  19. The service for those games is ending, the site is not closing. Word choice. No more RANKED Random Matchup.
  20. They were laughing at what you said about Secure, because that's way not true. Anyway:
  21. In the Japanese tweet/blog/thing I read, the person said it looked to them like a grosser version of Beheeyem. Didn't mention cars, but who knows.
  22. It was shown in a new trailer with movie screenings. It's not online yet because it hasn't been released elsewhere and recording it would be illegal.
