  1. Probably because mine was the Y demo. I road the goat in mine. The overworld was like how we've seen in trailers and rendered in 3D. It wasn't 3DS 3D though.
  2. I'm on my iPod now, but here are my brief impressions of today's Pokemon Game Show and the XY demo. Trainer gender was random, mine was female, "Y" Starter Pokemon was random but everyone got Ninfia and The lizard electric Pokemon. Movement was analog with circle bad, 8 way diagonal, I think. Had roller skates or roller blades. Couldn't use them in grass. Trainer opponents had 3D models, not static illustrations. Overworld was NOT in 3D. I hope this is just because the demo was not complete. 3D in battle looked good. Had a time limit to get across the area and meet the prof. Battled a wil Pikachu etc. Prof gives you Mewtwo to unlock its power. Mega Evolution is done by a button on your move selection screen. You can also choose a move for that turn. Used Mega Mewtwo to battle Prof's Crobat, Chandelure, and Dragonite. End of demo. Lines for event Pokemon were two hours each. The TCG, game battle activities were two hours as well. Tretta was super popular. I had to leave before the main stage events started. I can answer questions and elaborate more when I get home. Also photos.
  3. Pory...... Pokecheck does exactly that. But yeah, he's looking for Gen IV Korean stuff. So.... kinda too late.
  4. As far as I know, pgfs don't have any effect on trash bytes if the nickname is not set. Almost all pgfs have set it so the nickname is determined by the game when the pkm is generated. Why not contribute yours if you trust your sources?
  5. After the Gen IV Gallery page went up, someone noticed a conflict in WC IDs in the Korean section. I went back and found that Shiny Milotic conflicted with a wifi event, so I figured the wifi event to be the most likely. I removed the Milotic and others from that batch. Requiem is still not certain of this, so if someone were to contribute one they got themselves from Wifi, then it could be confirmed, more or less.
  6. Sorry, but I've reuploaded zelda777's above contributions with the "PPorg" tag removed from the filenames. Because of the discrepancy and an anomaly with these files, I don't want to have them appear PPorg-approved until we can get clarification or proof on these. I have asked zelda777 for clarification. Until that time, please be aware I am unsure about these WCs. If anyone else has any info on these events, please feel free to say so.
  7. I have no information about this one way or the other, so it is difficult to make a judgement. Zelda777, can you provide more info on how you got these cards?
  8. Don't use a save state. Use a .sav file or a .dsv file or a proper save file like those. As for being far enough, I'm not sure. Do you have the Mystery Gift option unlocked?
  9. The process is the same. You can insert pcd files (up to three) in the list which will put the cards in your card thing at the main menu and (I think) also make the gift ready to be picked up by the delivery man. You can insert the pgt files (up to eight, I think) in the list which will (only) make them ready to be picked up by the delivery man. It's been a while since I injected WCs into a gen IV save with Pokegen, but I'm pretty sure this info is correct. Give it a try.
  10. It's a 3DS game so it uses the Nintendo Network rather than Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. It's just the name of Nintendo's online infrastructure for 3DS and Wii U. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Network
  11. Some recent ones have had the five EU languages (Keldeo, for example). So it doesn't hurt to check! Then we know for sure.
  12. Good to know! It makes me relax a bit when someone lets me know they'll be going (ahead of time). If you can, try all the languages to see if they are all on the US distro ROMs as well. And distro text photos, please!
  13. Thanks to Omega Donuts excellent Mystery Gift skills, we now have all of the languages for Smeargle! They've all been added to the Gallery. Worlds 2013 Smeargle (French) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (German) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Italian) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Spanish) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Japanese) (English WC) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Korean) (English WC) Contributions of the distro text is still highly welcome! Here is the updated version of our summer contribution (US/EU/AUS) chart: Next on the list for these regions is Shiny Dialga, starting Aug 19 in the US and Aug 30 everywhere else... then Shiny Palkia, starting Sept 9 in the US and Sept 13 everywhere else... then Shiny Giratina, starting Sept 30 in the US and Sept 27 everywhere else. (Just a reminder on Meowth: Pokemon Day events in Germany begin on August 31, and Switzerland's is Sept 21 only... still no confirmation if Meowth will be distributed there)
  14. Thanks to Snow, for this contribution. It has been added here: English Gen V Event Gallery Worlds 2013 Smeargle Kaphotics is correct. If this year follows the pattern of previous years, French, German, Italian, and Spanish will all have unique WC title text as well as distro text. So confirmation on this is highly welcome, as are contributions! In the past, Korean and Japanese games received the English WC and distro text. Confirmation on this is also requested! Also... for everyone's information: Snow posted the WC comment text in his post... but... This text is contained within the coding of the game (based on a code in the pgf file), so the distribution text is actually more useful (if we ever get around to make distribution images for non-Japanese events). So... thanks if you can provide this information! Or try to snap a photo of the distro text during distribution! Here is the updated version of our summer contribution (US/EU/AUS) chart:
  15. I'm not sure what's going on, but it worked for everyone who was having problems with it when it was first uploaded. It's working for me now as well. What's your browser? Not save image, save the file/target/link (the wording is different based on browser).
  16. Yeah, the beginning of the data in that file makes it look like a txt file to the browser. Alpha set the site to force cbg files to a download, rather than open/display. So... that SHOULDN'T be happening anymore. Try rightclick saveas for now...
  17. It should. Is this the first time you've tried downloading it? If you tried when it first went up, you may have to delete your cache or something.
  18. I just got back from the Pokemon Center and have the WCs for all four Pokemon of the first week. Japanese Gen V Event Gallery Trying out anchors: Satoshi's Pikachu Iris's Axew Dento's Pansage Prof. Okido's Rotom Here are some photos from the event: Instead of giving the extra gift based on which pokemon you got on your game, they would give you any one sticker per game cartridge of BW/B2W2 that you brought.
  19. Thanks for posting this up. We've finally got confirmation on the first X and Y event, and it's wifi, so many people should be able to contribute. It has also been announced for Japanese, and all NA/EU language games (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish). I don't know about Korean yet. As they all start at the same time, it will be tough to determine how events regulate which language they are available to. My guess is that the WC (if they use WCs still) text will be in whatever language the game is set to, rather than by the cartridge's region. So it's still unknown how local events will be handled. As I've said before, though, we definitely want people to contribute these files, but it may be some time before anyone is actually able to make use of them. If you would like to contribute, please contribute: The following save files (with MINIMAL changes between them, preferably ONLY the act of obtaining the event) Before downlading the Event/Wonder Card After downloading the Event/Wonder Card After picking up the Event Pokemon/Item in-game You will need a device to back up your save files from retail cartridges, btw.
  20. They are LIKE forms, but they are not forms. And it sounds like holding their respective Mega stone (it's a category, it looks like each species that can do this has their own version of the stone) might not be the only thing that triggers this.
  21. I highly doubt everything you said.
  22. Me? Japanese pokemon in a Japanese ROM/game. Program's language was set to English while I was messing around with stuff, looking for that character.
  23. Further info that may or may not be helpful: I just fired up my HG game and the character is displayed properly on my Totodile in-game. I don't recall the last time I edited that save file with Pokegen, but I know I have at some point. So it seems this problem wasn't present in an old version of the program... but I have no idea how far back. I don't have any older versions on my computer anymore.
  24. Hm, he's right. Even direct input from my keyboard results in invalid character. Furthermore, in Gen IV... the character map shows ワ but actually is ヮ once you select it. And it is modifying my Totodile by changing the large one to the small one. The character map has ワ and ヮnext to each other, but the icons in the character map are both the big one.
