  1. If the program's features don't list multiplayer connection, or you don't see any options for it in the program itself, I highly doubt it. If you like Pokemon that much, you really ought to be playing the real deal, honestly.
  2. Okay, they finally got the English article up (wasn't there yesterday when I read the Japanese one). So it looks like the normal checks (illegal moves, illegal stats) would still happen when you register your Battle Box, etc, before the tournament. So they must be checking stuff beyond that. I hope they continue checks like whatever new checks they've established here, and ideally step them up further. Again, the moral is: don't hack.
  3. Yeah, it would make things horribly skewed if it were only one per battle. First to trigger gets it and the other trainer is SOL. So I HOPE it's one per trainer. Haven't looked at the English descriptions yet, though. Although we still don't know how much of a stat boost any Mega Evolution even gets, do we?
  4. I did some math stuff. That's 9% of Masters, 13% of Seniors, and 9% of Juniors.
  5. I trade on GTS all the time and can't even remember the last time I got a hacked pokemon through it.
  6. Oh yeah, Japanese site has the same info. http://ja.pokemon-gl.com/#/information/774 Although it doesn't say they are banned from the ranking system, it says they are disqualified from ranking in this tournament. The moral of the story? Don't cheat! http://projectpokemon.org/forums/announcement.php?f=83
  7. Rankings have finally be revealed, if you participated. I was 5733rd out of 12886 in Masters. Within the top 50%... not bad.
  8. Yeah, if your Pokemon is holding its stone, a Mega Evolution appears on the move selection screen. You can choose it, then choose a move for the same turn. Source: I've done it. The Japanese site said Mega Evolutions are limited to one per battle, but it wasn't clear on whether than was one per trainer or one between BOTH trainers (ie, you evolve and then your opponent cannot). I'm guessing it's one per trainer. Edit: thanks for that link, wraith! I was waiting fr someone to upload a video of that because I couldn't stay at the show that long. I'll have to watch it after work.
  9. SUMMARY POST Due to the large amount of discussion regarding the three dragon wondercards, a lot of recent contributions have been buried a page or two back. Along with the updated summer contribution chart, I'll post a summary of recent additions in this post. The chart has been modified a bit. I'm thinking that the English WC outside of the US may vary from the US version (ID, perhaps, etc). We'd like confirmation (and contribution!) of this when those distributions begin. So, I've added a second English slot for the contribution of the three dragons to the chart. Recent additions: Summer Shiny Dragon Trio (US) Summer Shiny Dialga Summer Shiny Palkia Summer Shiny Giratina Champion Generations series (JPN) Green's Pidgeot Lance's Dragonite Steven's Metagross Wallace's Milotic Cynthia's Spiritomb Alder's Volcarona Iris's Haxorus "Everyone's Best Friends" BW Anime series (JPN) Satoshi's Pikachu Iris's Axew Dento's Pansage Prof. Okido's Rotom VGC Worlds 2013 Smeargle Worlds 2013 Smeargle (French) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (German) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Italian) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Spanish) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Japanese) (English WC) Worlds 2013 Smeargle (Korean) (English WC) (this summarizes additions from about the past 2 weeks... check the gallery pages for other recent events)
  10. I think that's what they usually do when they are basing it off a specific character pokemon. Mewtwo was also the same way, as are the recent anime and Champion pokemon.
  11. I... meant the English one. English US and English everywhere else....
  12. I meant whether the other Dialga will be different from US Dialga, actually...
  13. I guess the distro ROMs for US are different from elsewhere and don't contain the other languages. Makes sense, because the dates are different too. Canada, Europe, Latin America, Australia/NZ... be ready! Wonder if the other English WC will be different...
  14. I've added what we've got so far to the Gallery! English Summer Shiny Dialga I'll update our contribution chart after work today. Contributions for other languages are of course still welcome! (FRA, GER, ITA, SPN) And PLEASE take a photo of at least the distribution text. Posters/signs, too, if there are any.
  15. It'll work, thanks. I'm sure others are still going to go and I'm still hoping someone will check the other languages. And there was talk of someone trying to sweet-talk the staff into changing dates on the distro cart's system to try and get the other two.
  16. That is correct. That's why I was asking people to be prepared... I definitely prefer unedited files, but... That's not even the correct file. You've contributed a Genesect.
  17. Great, thanks! Were the other languages not being distributed? Also: ...... you've contributed a used wonder card, evandixon. Did you make a back up or extraction before picking up the pkm in-game?
  18. The parents you got off of Pokecheck must be illegal. All Speed Boost Torchics that have been released so far are Dream World event only. Those are always set to male, and since the female is the one that can pass on the hidden ability, it's currently not legally possible to breed a Speed Boost Torchic. This is not a false positive with Pokecheck. The results are correct.
  19. It actually has more to do with logistics. Japan could do one big event like this, and roughly a third of the country (geographically speaking... and MORE, population density-wise) could come to this event. It's also the same for European events (this demo will be in Germany at Pokemon Day). In the US, even people in the same state as an event like this might have trouble getting to the location.
  20. As it turns out, the incorrect WC files were actually the ones first contributed by Orcamania. The batch later contributed (that included this Milotic) by kkk49 have been confirmed by several sources to be the actual WC files. The original Milotic has been put back in the Gallery and collection zip, and the listed WCs below have been replaced. If you downloaded these, please download them again. Sorry for the inconvenience. 8-18-2013 Collection archive updated Re-added: Korean Character Fair Milotic Replaced: Time Square Shaymin Sightseeing Course Map Winner's Path Course Map Enigma Stone
  21. I've replaced the Korean Victini (032 Movie 2011 Victini KOR [PPorg].pgf) in the Gallery. There was a minor error on the file as it seems Korea's policy about ticket events is different that Japan's. It turns out a different contribution I had received was, in fact, the correct one. The correct one is up in the Gallery now. Any Pokemon generated from the previous version of the WC will not be any different from Pokemon generated from the new/correct WC. The error that was present is related to the Wonder Card itself, not the Pokemon gift. I'm also removing the attachments for zelda777's recent Korean contributions. He/she has not replied to clarify how these were obtained, and there are a couple points in the files that have been debunked by numerous sources. His/her previous contributions have checked out, but unfortunately, these were not the real deal. We are still awaiting contributions for these events.
  22. Anyone have any info on whether the OT was full-width characters normally used in Japanese games: Happy or if they were half-width from English games: Happy ? Or the gender of the OT? Edit: I've added an entry with the other similar Pikachu events. http://projectpokemon.org/events/jp-V.php#StrongestPikachuHKTaiwan
  23. Here are my photos from the event (not really of the demo because they told me it was prohibited). I would have taken more of the posters and videos and such, but it was just SO crowded it was tough to find a good opportunity or a good shot. Warning: some pictures might be gigantic. imgur album link for easier, non-gigantic viewing
  24. I'm home now, so here's more on the "impressions" side. I liked the 3D in the battle sequences. The HP/status info stuck to the foreground and made it seem like it wasn't obstructing the view much. There was a good level of depth in the battle area, so it looked pretty good. I'm really hoping the overworld areas are in 3D in the final version of the game. Overall, the graphical presentation of the game is looking pretty good. That alone made me pretty excited for this next pair of games. I'll upload some of my photos tomorrow, after I get some sleep. That photo of the event site that Kaphotics linked to was actually the waiting area to get in. They had a very elaborate queuing system in the next hall of the convention center.
