Going back to one of the original debates in this thread, I went over the ROCKS Metang that is publicly available and it looks like a 10 aniv Articuno that was modified. The species name ends with "O\FF\FF" and the OTN ends with "V". Also the base friendship is wrong. The chances of this being a mess up by GF when they made the distribution rom is remote. Mainly because of how the species name is copied and the base friendship, both of which are dynamically looked up by the species index.

When using the VC event one, that'll occur for the nickname and OT, because of the abnormal trash bytes it has!

The event itself isn't released to public, and it's details isn't finalised. if you want to make sure it's legal, wait for the official release and I'll upload them to our on-site event gallery

I just edited. I'm still going through them. Basically, I downloaded the 4 most recent EU WCs, one for each version. Some of them match the US version. Others do not. After splitting them, I came up with the above conclusion, based on what WC will actually be received by each game. Check it out and see if you get what I got.

Not exactly. Some of the versions are identical, but others aren't. Right now, it seems to look like this (matching the filename to the actual appropriate WC for that game within its file): Moon: Legends 2018 Sun: 2018 Legends UM: 2018 Legends US: 2018 Legends Guess I'll hope they fix the rest.

Actually, I JUST found a single Christmas Day PCNY Seviper buried among the Pokemon Box Promo PCNY Sevipers, while reorganizing Digiex's compilation save for InsaneNutter. So we can update the list, however more are always more than welcome. Anything PCNY is more than welcome, especially considering how Bulbapedia doesn't even have them all documented.

They all look final. French US matches EU. While Spanish is not up yet, I bet it will be the same. It is just the EU/NA have different OTNs.

@Sabresite The save here: Has an evolved Rocks Metang, maybe that could help determine? "rocks metank(metagross evolved):_got from a class mate who actually went to the event pokemon rocks america back in 2005 in chicago.the event had demo of pokemon xd gale of darkness.the players who completed thye demo has recieved some kind of card for exchange of metang in counte.the metang lvl is lvl 30 whwn it was received and has a special move refresh.my friend actually recieved it in his fire red catridge(which he no longer wanted).thank god he didnt trade it to further generation.i traded it to this save file .it evoled to metagross and now lvl 84." What version of Pokemon Blue you're playing? (VC? Emu?) I ran around with 30 Max repels and a Lv 12 Pikachu as lead, at the claimed Route 4, and no Lv 12 Raticate appeared. As of present, unless better proof is presented, I'm inclined to believe the datamined resources. =========== edit: @Kaphotics Assuming that there isn't a glitch in the game, with how it pulls the levels from the encounter table, I postulate that the Lv 25 Crabrawler is a programmed encounter. Interacting with that particular tree's berry pile for the first time will activate the encounter (my every first encounter so far, has been lv 25). (additionally, I'll like to note that SciresM's shiny patch code is active, and the Crabrawler isn't shiny. Meaning this encounter is shiny-locked I made a mistake and the code wasn't on. This encounter can be shiny.) PKHeX doesn't need to support generation 3 mystery gift contents when other programs do. Plus, you don't even need mystery gift contents to unlock the data ingame. PKHeX supports changing the data as necessary to unlock the ferry locations without needing the mystery gift data.

I really appreciate all the insight and leads but as it turns out, @Kaphotics dropbox links led to a dead end. @BlackShark the DS Homebrew injection tool didn't have any effect on my cartridge and the "PC Version" (Mystery.Gift.Tool.0.1d.zip) once extracted only had that changelog file. @ReignOfComputer I am sure you are probably right about my anti-virus I have mcafee livesafe and wouldn't know how to permit certain files from being shredded if that's actually a thing. After trying all this my last resort was trigger pc which I downloaded the software for pc and it ran perfect just like pkhex and I was able to load up my .sav and inject the event! and restore the sav and activate the mystery event. Which is super cool, thanks @Invader TAK! It would be neat if pkhex had been updated to include this feature across generations to activate mystery gifts.

No no. When you have invalid OT, you end up with <VC game name>* as OT after transfer. Since he is playing Italian Crystal, the OT he gets is Cristallo*. An example of what happened in recent Gen, is the Japanese 20th Mew. It used the wrong star, and after trading, the OT changes. (Tho instead of Asterisk, it becomes <game name>. )
