Yes. I live in Italy, but I'm not italian. The "Nintendo Employee" is just one. Although I'm not too sure about what was his role with Nintendo, I only know he had a bunch of carts which I purchased. I paid over 10.000€, and I'm still paying a monthly fee which I'll finish paying in June 2017. I currently have: 1 10ANNIV for each european language, 1 Aura Mew for each european language, 1 Aurora Ticket US, 1 Shiny Zigzagoon UK, and some others I can't disclose any info about currently, but I have told some people about them. I had multiple 10ANNIV UK, Aura Mew UK, Aurora Ticket US, Shiny Zigzagoon UK ( whose cart was different from the others) because apparently these UK carts were not used only in UK, but also other countries in the north of Europe. Aurora Ticket US was used in several US states. Some of those carts were also sold on Nintendoage by some guy in 2012. That's how several people got their hands on them ( I was lucky enough to get some myself), and that's why I'm allowed to sell 10ANNIV and Aurora Ticket US freely. I got them in the past before I had a deal with that guy. Some other people got Shiny Zigzagoon, so it was "leaked" before I got my hands on the lot of carts from that guy. Similar dynamic with Aura Mew, and I think there's a post on here too, so I did sell it in the past, but I sold them quickly and I have no intention to share the ROMs currently. In the past few years I sold a few 10ANNIV, a few Aurora Ticket US, a few Shiny Zigzagoon UK and a few Aura Mew UK ( although these last ones were sold to a single buyer years ago, so I never put them on eBay, but you'll probably find them for sale by someone else sooner or later). I don't have any other carts to sell anymore. I was just selling to get some money back, and now I've finished all spare carts I had. As I said, in June 2017 I'll finish paying and I'll be "more free" to talk about whatever else I have. Check back in July 2017 and I'll have something sweet for you all.5 points

Merry Christmas everyone! Just in time for the holidays, we have some fun announcements. The Event Gallery Ever since we came back online almost 3 weeks ago, @theSLAYER and I have been working on moving our Event Gallery to its new home, and we've finally finished. All the events that were previously in the Event Gallery are now available to the public again, as well as many events from Generations 6 and 7. This is a community project, so if you have any events we don't, please contribute them in the appropriate thread in the Event Contributions forum. New Forums We have new Tutorials and FAQs forums for ROM Editing, Save Editing, and RAM Editing. These forums are the perfect place to post or find guides and other information to help others. To start off, we've posted some guides in the Save Editing Tutorials & FAQs forum explaining how to insert many of the files from our Event Gallery into your game. Staff Change Our last announcement is that @ReignOfComputer has been promoted to Super Moderator. I hope everyone enjoys the holidays, and again, Merry Christmas.2 points

I can confirm that the labels are thin and delicate. Mine is half ripped and clearly shows that it rips much easier than the standard GBA label. It's similar to one of those really cheap water bottle labels that tear when you rip them off.2 points

I found out that if you use the give all clothing option in PKHeX or even the NTR cheat it will crash the game if you go into a dye shop. This seems to be due to owning the Pastel, Bright, and Dark variants of clothing as they aren't meant to be cataloged in your clothing inventory (Unless you dyed one possible white item yourself which you can only have one of each and must use dye shops to change it to those colors). Here are the hex values to be pasted for your save files, which don't include the above mentioned variants: For the male character copy & paste the following bytes into offsets 42000-4256B For the female character copy & paste into offsets 42000-425A72 points

Let's just hope this thread will get much exposure so people will be aware of the scene release. @Deoxyz, you may want to upload the rom on popular rom hosting sites, so more people will have access to it.2 points

I still don't see the problem. I'm honestly grateful. The less people who aren't serious videogame collectors like me, trying to buy these things the better. These are very expensive and the few of us willing to buy them could do with less competition. I also don't see this as de-valuing the carts. I can download gen 3 games online for free but that hasn't de-valued the physical carts or made me want to buy the physical ones any less.2 points

I'm fairly certain the VBA emulator has link cable emulation support. Though I mainly uploaded it for historical preservation, and for public knowledge, especially after I saw the demand for it from our researchers. A GBA everdrive will get the job done for those who want to use it if VBA doesn't work. Anyway, i put up two more links if the first one gives anyone trouble. Note, I'm sorry if anyone didn't want this public, but I've been thinking hard about it for a while. I did pay a large amount of money for it so I understand that, but I honestly don't believe GBA distribution roms will make it that much easier to make counterfeits with than with DS distribution roms. It's 2016 and all pokemon distribution related data should be publicly available. We already started with posting our Mew saves regardless the obvious potential repercussions, so why stop now?2 points

I looked at the trash bytes for Mew, and I am fairly convinced after speaking with @Bond697 that mystry mew was generated using a distribution ROM. Most likely the team modified the existing multiboot rom code to generate them in batches of 5. We know it was a distribution ROM because the trash bytes of the first mew is consistent with other events (like 10 aniv) that came from multiboot roms. Bond researched the trash bytes which ended up being from lazily copying the pokemon's name with no regard for the data that came after the terminator. Upon inspecting what that data is, Bond found that some of the distribution code was copied to the stack for an unknown reason. Our theory is that they made a button that adds 5 mews to the save and hit that button a million times. IIRC, in that save file the town was blocked by a tree, trapping the character in town. This leads us to believe that the original cart used to make the save file was most likely a dev cart that had manipulation capabilities. Also makes sense since they would have to extract the save for manufacturing. For what it is worth, we have a range of trash bytes by observing the other mews. And of course when you xfer to XD/Colo or Pal Park, PokeTransfer, Bank, etc, trash bytes don't matter anymore anyways.1 point

@Invader TAK Nice find on the soul dew, I completely missed that too. I am sure @Bond697 will take a look and confirm the order and calculation. @ajxpk Do you know of any other pokemon that are not generated on the first rand() like boshi? Also regarding METEOR, I think Bond said it was essentially a dev version of the wishmaker, so it is exactly the same except for the name.1 point

When I was given the 10ANNIV rom 3 1/2 years ago, the person who gave it to me asked me not to give it out or anything to preserve the cart's value. The same goes for a few others. Some of the stuff isn't even private, there just hasn't been anyone who has really cared, as far as I knew. Like this for example: It's an unreleased gen 3 event, METEOR Jirachi. I found its multiboot rom in.. some game. I've told people about it and given out archives, but nobody really seemed to care that much. I spent awhile gathering the multiboot roms and checking them out and to be honest, I didn't realize there was much interest in them anymore until Sabresite mentioned them not too long ago.1 point

@theSLAYER, here's a pic of the Nintndo prototype label. The text is listed below:1 point

I'm 99% positive that these don't create save files. Send me a PM approx early-mid February :^)1 point

I don't have much knowledge of these dev carts, but assuming the labels vary or aren't even on some these carts, wouldn't it be easier to spot a fake GBA distro cart if they don't have the DIP switch label on the cart? With a bit of public images, assuming the labels vary, that could clear up any legitimacy confusion someone could have about potential counterfeits.1 point

as long as you verified it's the real deal, then its no biggie. Having one is better than none, I guess I misunderstood the nature of the event. Like, "a rom that distributes to all languages. imagine queuing up, then they tell you you're at the wrong line, cause wrong language"1 point

Outlandish claims should really be backed up with proof. I have reason to believe that altering these carts is harder than you think. Like we said before. It's the responsibility of the people buying these carts to know what they're buying. It's 2016, these should have been released a long time ago and it's just halting progress when you don't. With ajxpk wanting to research trash bytes and people talking about creating distribution tools. I think somebody said something about using Triggers PC as a distribution method for example. It would also be completely unbelievable if now that the cart has been dumped, 2 dozen distro carts suddenly showed up on Ebay. Me, being one of those collectors. They hold just as much value as they ever have. You wouldn't happen to have any of those, would you? I've only managed to find 2 and currently can't dump my own. A PM with links would be greatly appreciated it you'd be willing/able to help.1 point

I was originally going to upload it on emuparadise, but when I made an account, it was all clustercrap and I couldn't figure it out. Is there a main place where all/many distribution roms are available? When I looked for DS distro roms a year or two ago, it was a scavenger hunt with a few roms here and there in obscure places. Just like with the Mew save, hopefully we can make it become fairly well known, so people will be aware it is public and can be cautious. At the same time, if we see an increase in 10ANNIV carts on eBay, it'll eventually suffer like the Mystery Mew carts have done. Though it seems like it would be just as much of a risk as flashing new roms onto DS carts.1 point

Nintendo dev/prototype cartridge market is pretty big in forums for collectors and most of them have the tools in order to inject roms into the cartridges. So, by having the rom available online, it should be pretty easy for some of them to try and sell more fake distribution cartridges to people who have no idea about the scene release of the gba distribution rom(s).1 point

I managed to grab the ROM before the post got hidden. It's flashing to my GBA size EZ Flash 3-in-1 as I type this. I'm shaking because I never thought I'd see any of these ROMs release. EDIT: It flashed and I was able to send a Latias to my LeafGreen!1 point

That's reasonable enough Added Clone Searching in latest commit. Manually delete the clones you wish to get rid of. Or... Added Clone Deletion in latest commit. Automatically delete clones based off last modified date.1 point

The ROM. I doubled up on the links to keep it more indirectly connected from the site due to the legality of roms in general. I don't want to put the site in any potential trouble. If it makes you unsure about it being malicious, I can upload it elsewhere, but I've uploaded files before so I hope that would help the credibility. Edit: Oh, well if it's being blocked regardless, I can put another link up.1 point
