Salvage corrupted ORAS save data?
ChamomileStar replied to jaflm2401's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Weird, I used Checkpoint for the dump, but this was my first time trying so maybe I did something wrong? Dumped a new one, put it into a hexeditor and compared against my previous dump, and one you posted that worked fine. Still looks different from the valid save, but it doesnt have the sharkive stuff. main - Today

PKVault - Centralized pkm storage management & Pokedex app

Feature Request: Would it be possible to allow users the option of merging their own multi-gen versions of Pokemon, if they share the same Origin and PID? For example, if I understand correctly how this works, say I've used PKVault to transfer pokemon from Gen 4 to Gen 5, but I then use PokeTransporter to move them into Bank, and then Gen 6. My Gen 5 is now empty of these pokemon, so the link is broken, but the Gen 6 saved Pokemon are now considered separated from the pokemon in my vault. I'd like a feature to be able to link these to the vault as a G6 version of my existing G4+G5 pokemon already existing in my vault. -
@Lebannen Project Pokémon staff in the past have removed all scarlet and violet saves from the site because if I remember correctly saves are traceable if they are being used across multiple consoles. As well, for Pokemon that transferred from Bank to Home will have home tracking numbers assigned so you’d need to modify those Pokémon with PKHeX to zero out the home tracker number which can also be traced. Therefore, the Pokemon are no longer legit. I advise to play the game properly to have a legit save that will not cause you issues.

I would really like a save file with all the pokemon avaliable to be used, even those not native to Paldea like for example the old legendaries, basically the whole gen 9 pokedex or at least almost all of it. I'm looking for a legit save without genned or cheated mons so that they are compatible with any other game and can be moved to home and transferred between games. Thank you in advance for the help, i'm always grateful!

Not a valid dump; has a ton of sharkive junk at the bottom so it's likely just a bad read (not from the savedata) or something was erroneously restored to it.

Thank you for the reply, and sorry about the late response. I was worried I wouldn't get any response at all, and I'm glad you agree about having one place for this kind of discussion. I'll see what I can do with a thread, and I have a few theories I can start posting now to test the waters.

A stretch ( hopefully someone can help ) but I am looking for Sheer force Tauros from Pleasant Forest in BW as I'm collecting for my forever save on Pokemon X & would like a Tauros that was caught from that area with preferably Rock Climb? A save or pkm file would suffice.

Its always fun to dream and speculate what if's. This had me thinking... it would be really nice and convenient if Game Freak would develop a game mechanic or feature that would allow you trainer/player to carry across games. For instance let';s say you just played through Pokemon shield and spent 120 hours playing through it leveling up pokemon, finding rare Pokemon with hidden abilities through raids, etc etc. Then you buy and start playing Pokemon Scarlet and you trade some of your favorite Pokemon you've been playing with for the last however long it took you to play through Sword. You can trade in the pokemon but as far as the game is concerned those pokemon are from another trainer so then the annoying obedience crap kicks in. It's perfectly logical that a trainer would be the same person in a new game (we're in a totally fictional world and mind here lol..) since it seems plausible a Pokemon Trainer would want to travel to a new continent or area to continue his or her career. If GameFreak had actual accounts that tied into Pokemon games it could allow for this type of feature to be implemented and then you can carry you pokemon with you from game to game and not have to face any of the obedience issues. If you edit saves and use PKHeX it would likely come in even more convenient as you would probably have less errors regarding IDs, at least if your are editing your own Pokemon across games.. Anyways its just a thought I had in my head the last couple days. Can you think of any other useful things that could come from this? Or any cons that might make it not so good afterall? Would be glad to hear any input or discussion.

Ooooh that's good to hear, and very exciting And I can only imagine their 6 identical posts in the span of about a minute was a mistake or bug. It looks like the sort of thing that happens when a site show an error or something but secretly submitted your message anyway, and you keep trying to send it to no avail, only to find out later all your attempts made it through EDIT: Nvm I see they also made their own whole topic saying the same thing first, I think they were just struggling to figure out how forums work -
no time see you again, but yeah I try also to upload .pk3 file on that site no warning will be see but if you do manually there is illegal flag like the "not obtainable"

Hi, first of all, really digging the ROM hack. Thank you for creating and sharing this with the community. I’m pretty deep in the world treasures storyline but I could use a little guidance. How are the Mount Tensei and Mineral Crust dungeons unlocked? Those are the only ones I’ve yet to complete but I wasn’t sure how to unlock them. Thanks again, your response is appreciated.

Didn't know about Luma3DS. I'll look into it. Thanks for all the answers!

You could just change the country and region on Luma3DS before receiving the event. And I feel like I’m beating a dead horse at this point..

Salvage corrupted ORAS save data?
ChamomileStar replied to jaflm2401's topic in Saves - Editing Help
@Kaphotics I got the ORAS games so my girlfriend and I could play them together, and my Alpha Sapphire just corrupted. I don't wanna start over and make her wait for me to catch back up, is this file salvagable? I had trouble with corrupting files earlier, but they'd corrupt immediately, After uninstalling and reinstalling the game this fresh save was stable for about a month before dying today. main -
So apparently you can choose to keep this gift Gimmighoul after you evolve it which I didn't know was an option. As such, I gave it away upon completing the sidequest and don't have access to it anymore. For completion's sake, if anyone is willing to trade me the specific Gimmighoul I'd really appreciate it. I can trade through either Legends Z-A itself or HOME if there's a preference.

I found a strange glitch that I'm not sure if it's from the hack or if it is a glitch in the base game. My steenee has two "always on" IQ skills that don't appear to actually be on. I thought maybe this is a glitch with the newly added species but my partner deino also has brick tough but it is clearly on. I don't know if this is something you can even fix or not, I tried to use sky editor but couldn't find anything about toggling iq skills.

Thanks for the explanation! One last question: I don't like editting the pokemon after redeeming or rnging it. If I simply inject a japanese region locked WC and redeem it on my american 3DS, it would noticeably illegal if checked in gens 6 or 7 because of the region lock. But would the fact that home wipes region data make it indistinguishable from one redeemed in a japanese 3DS upon transfer home and thus 100% legal on the switch since the only data that would make it illegal doesn't exist anymore?

nah! TID is fixed on this Pokemon since it was trade by from NPC DUKING "ギンザル" only the SID will matter that will match on your own TID/SID for what I know correctly I just give a example: Your TID/SID 1998/54624 while Larvitar is Fixed TID 37149/Random SID depend on your own SID

So I was wondering about something if you use Shadow Pokemon Nature Modifier Cheat Code from what Nature you want, when catching a Shadow Pokemon while finding IVs to match the Characteristics you want, when Migrating the Shadow Pokemon from Gen 3 to Gen 4. And when transferring that Shadow Pokemon from Gen 3-4 to Gen 5, 6, 7 and HOME. does Pokemon HOME check that Pokemon's Nature when Capturing the Shadow Pokemon with Shadow Pokemon Nature Modifier Cheat Codes from Pre-Pokemon Games? This is what I've been wondering to know about, if that makes sense? And this is where I got the Cheat Codes of XD: Gale of Darkness from here: https://www.gc-forever.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2069&sid=7969c6adf5bb691247ab0db906cf79af

Right, so you're misunderstanding. The program is only calculating the TID that you could have at startup. When you start the game up and make a new save file, it's saying that you are not allowed to have the TID 37149 and SID 54624 because it's not in a valid frame. The SID of the Larvitar comes from the SID that was given to you when you started up the game, but since the TID is different the program can't match it to a valid frame. It has no effect on the legality of the Larvitar.
