How come everytime I post a thread in the Pokemon Heartgold & Soulsilver section it says the thread will be posted once approved by a moderator. Does this happen to everyone? If not why am I being moderated as I haven't been on the site for about a year or 2

So, while I haven't been on PP much recently, I have been on a bunch of other forums, and a few of them have a Media/Entertainent section, divided into books/literature, music, TV, movies and video games sub-forums. If it's too much effort to do that, I understand, but perhaps PP could do something similar? Creative discussion could perhaps just become the section to post your own works and other such things. Also, how about a stickied suggestion thread for this section, so that it doesn't get cluttered with all the suggestion threads that are bound to pop up. Cheers, Shroom.

According to the FAQ thread, posts in competitive battling do not raise one's postcount. I can understand why trivial games do not increase a user's postcount, but users who post insightful and intelligent posts mainly in the competitive battling section miss out on many +counts because of this. Is there a specific reason that this is due to?

As Fallen's Skin Thread has been closed, I was wondering if anyone is going to start making skins again. I would be willing to do it, if I knew how. But yeah, anyway. Is anyone Making new skins for the forum?

ITs not a very big suggestion but i feel it should be present in your site i suggest that u insert a shout box or a mini chat box on the index page this will allow users to indicate other people to some important topic ( i mean normal members adminstrators and mods have special ways) also people can ask help to each other for stopping spamming in that box keep a timer that a new messge can be posted only after 1 mins or more as per what u want :smile:

PP Forum has a big problem with useless posts and stuff that just take up space. One way to fix this is to add some sort of 'Reputation' system, where after a post or thread starter, you can 1up the poster. At certain levels of reputation points, one could earn badges or something similar. One could also subtract rep for really bad posts, and that kind of thing. You would be limited to one + or - per post, or something similar, and would not be able to change your own reputation. This would limit the ability of people to game the system. Also, it would allow people to judge users who they haven't interacted before. For example, if user A wanted to know, say, how to get a Hydro Pump Salamence, then he could post that question. Users B and C respond in that thread. User B tells A that you must go to a waterfall and fight 1000 Seakings in a row, then use 30 rare candies. User C says that you need to breed with a Seadra or Kingdra and get the egg move. User A follows User B's advice, and wastes days on this method. If the reputation point system, or something similar, was in play, then User A notices that User B has -9001 reputation, while User C has 100 reputation. User A follows User C's advice. Though we have the badge system, it is not effective as very few users have very many badges, and badges cannot be handed out as easily as a +1. I have seen this work with great effect in other forums such as TheHiveWorkshop, but I do not know how you could implement this or something similar into the forum design.

"You did not enter the correct format for the Youtube Channel field. Please read the field description for the expected format." Who else is getting that after trying to modify the new profile fields? Even leaving it blank seems to provoke that message. Or is it only occurring to me? -
The owner of the website should consider getting some of the awesome addons/plugins vbulletin has to offer. Theres a whole lot of cool stuff out there; like forum Economy systems, Forum RPGs and the like. If you want to make the website/forum more immersive, I suggest adding something along those lines.

Um....i have a suggestion. maybe we could have a "going away" thread. it could notify people so they know there not just inactive, and so those poeples friends could know they wont be on for <insert amount of time here> is this a good idea?

First of all, I have to admit that this "suggestion" is mostly selfishly driven, but I was wondering if it's possible to add sub-fields under the "Favorite Pokémon" category labeled by Generation (Gen. I, Gen. II, and so on). For once is far more organized to list PKMN that way--makes it easy to read. Secondly, and I know I may seem rather anal, but would it be possible to add the "é" to the word Pokemon in the profile pages? After all, they're 'pocket monsters' not 'poking monsters'. =P Don't get me wrong, I mean well. =) Thanks for your time. -
So to any of those who remember who I am. I am "A Hacked Soul". I have been around since project Pokemon was pokesav.org when the site first started up. I wrote the "A Hacked Soul's IV, EV, and Nature Guide." that is stickied in the Competitive Battling Discussion. I discovered the Lucario Doll event last year at Nats was a fake. I had a set focus in learning how to tell cheated events to help keep the tournaments I run clean. I was banned back in Nov for asking about making a rar of the events when they went down for half a year and are now back up. I was banned for 1 year and still am. I have a set request that my ban be lifted for the reason of it was a unfair ban. I have never done anything to deserve a ban of that time. SVC, Poryhack, wraith98, and fenzo666 I ask why was none of my e-mails asking reason behind my 1 year banned never answered? I have talked with you since the old forums and I get banned by another mod with no warning for a year. Please

So, I've been thinking, what if PP had a weekly / bi-weekly / whatever art competition of some kind? Graphics competitions, such as signature battles, etc, and traditional art competitions as well. I'm thinking that the member pool is a tad shallow, perhaps, but it could serve as possible enticement for inactive regulars to actually post and contribute something, as opposed to simply lurking. Themes and restrictions should be present in such competitions, of course. Personally, I think a good challenge could really help the site along.

On the forum index I was think that the Gen 5 section should be moved above the Gen 4 section that way the generation would be in the proper order(5,4,3, then 1&2). Plus it would look better that way. -
I think there should be a Pokemon Black and White Gen V EVENT section to post all the events including , dream , shifter etc all in one place not mixed with the old gen (they each have their own section). I dunno just a thought. sorry if I bothered. Edit : I do know there is a Gen V section but all the Black and white events are mixed in the 4th gen section. -
As title says. Hello forum members. I've been registered for some time, but school eats up a chunk of my time. I'd love to battle and trade with people, my game name is Joey and my FC is 3781 9275 1197. Currently I'm working on my OU team, and can only do 3 vs 3. Anyways, I'll just leave this right here......

Hey all. In an effort to stay in touch at all times, I am using my mobile phone to access the forums now. I couldn't help but notice, however, that the "Menu" button doesn't work, and that I can't access the moderator functions. If those issues could be addressed, that would be awesome. By the way, I'm using a Samsung Impression and the MediaNet browser. EDIT: Also would be nice to have dates next to the timestamps for each post.

Yes. I am leaving the forums. I don't have much else to say... Thanks for everything. Its been REALLY great here. Actually I do have something to say. Just kidding! This is something I like to do for multiple things. Its a test to see if people read everything that I write, or if they just read the first sentence or two, don't read it at all and only read the title, or something like that. However, I WILL be cutting down on using the chat room and using the forums. If you read this whole paragraph, don't reply. Only people that don't read it all will reply, or maybe not. I have done this countless times. And at least 5 people reply to it. This is a kinda big forum (not really big) and I wanna see how many people will reply. So I'll be hanging around the forums and chat whenever I have free time and I'm bored, or if I have no school.

Under "Others > Project Pokémon IRC"'s sub-heading, it says "irc.pchnet.com". It is acually "irc.pchnet.org". Please fix so others do not get directed to the wrong network. ~STBE

Was just thinking it would be cool if the moderator for the various sub-forums could be displayed somewhere on thread the index page. For example the display the moderator for the Technical Discussions forum somewhere. I'm pretty sure I've seen this on other sites, so I think should be possible.

For some reason I am unable to add newlines in my posts. Does anyone know why? I add them when writing the post but when posted I only ever get walls of text.

Title says pretty much everything. Getting notified by email when someone quotes my post is getting really really annoying and I can't find the option to disable it anywhere in the profile settings. A fix to this by whatever means would be greatly appreciated (excluding mailing rules for my inbox as i read most mail on my iphone).
