While I prefer that we use Google ads rather than more visually offensive ads, I noticed that there have been some ads added recently to the "Site Theme" theme of the forums. And I just want to say that their random placement is pretty annoying. Sometimes they are under the thing that tells you what your thread and forum are, sometimes they're on the right, sometimes they even appear as if they are a thread title, listed just above the stickies. But it's even more annoying when they appear inbetween posts, or under the forum header. I have a widescreen display, so it's not very tall vertically. With all the gigantic sigs in this forum, and now with the new random ads thrown in, it's becoming more and more difficult to read anything on this forum. Isn't it possible to just keep the ads on the right side or something like that?

I seem to be having a major issue seeing signatures in spoilers. They just simply cut off! This includes my own, and users like 'Dimi'. I've truncated my signature several times, thinking that was the problem, but nothin. Anyone else having this problem?:confused::confused:

forums The "SoulSilver Luigia Theme" Feedback Thread
evandixon posted a topic in Project Pokémon Feedback
This thread is where to post all feedback for the theme: SoulSilver Luigia. I recommend using the same structure that I am using. Overall: In my opinion, it would be good for those who don't like dark colors, although I am not one of those people. The smaller font looks good, although it can become annoying after a while (especially if you are used to the font size of "Site Theme". Pros: -Internal Site Links (Unlike the "Site Theme") -Nice "Clean" look -Can compete with "Site Theme" for Default Theme -Gradiant Background for Quotes Cons: -Not enough contrast between visited links and background, and a few other situations. -Icons for "Forums Read", and "New Posts" don't contrast enough, so it isn't obvious which forums have new posts. -User Title and Badges are not directly Below the username. -Age/Gender not shown in posts ("Site Theme" dosn't show Gender Either) -Text Color in "Title" textbox when replying to a message dosn't have enough contrast [Edit]: I have added a poll with likely options.- 37 replies

The theme "Site Theme" doesn't have links to Site, Forum, Wiki, Chat, etc that I can find. Those should be added. Furthermore, I think "Site Theme" should be made the default theme instead of "Suicune Blue". It makes the site and forums seem more unified when they have the same theme. Plus, I just can't stand Suicune Blue. There's so little contrast sometimes between the background and links that I have to strain my eyes to read them. Not a good thing to have in a default theme.

I'm not sure if vBulletin supports it, but there are forums out there that provide specific fields for entering Wii Friend Codes, Xbox360 Gamertags, PSN Usernames and the like. This makes it exceedingly easy to find someone's contact info if the two of you decide to play a game together (like Pokemon, of course). I was wondering if there was any chance Project Pokemon might implement something along those lines for userprofiles? There would be fields for all three Pokemon games currently out (which would be hidden if no information was put into them) and maybe fields for gamertags and other wii games like Smash Bros or whatever. What say you?

The idea has been circulating softly through the artists of this community. Some want to be given a Helpful Member's badge, for their creations of avatars and signature banners. But here's what I'm suggesting. Maybe more than just the badge given for being a helpful member to the community, there should be a badge for the creativity of the individuals behind these projects. But that doesn't just mean this badge would be given to anyone who posts a piece of artwork and calls it a day. No, this badge would be more of one of honor and dignity for the true artists, like any other badge given. For the artists here that work hard to impress and please those requesting these small pieces of art to treasure and call their own on these forums and around the community. I've brought this up before, But I think it deserves more than just that, it needs some healthy discussion. So, what I guess I'm asking, suggesting, whatever this is...would it be possible for this badge to be instated? Should these hard-working people be given the credit they feel they deserve? Here's a look at what the badge could be: Editted by yours truly. :] I've talked to several people about it already, but it's time to see what you as a whole community think. Yay or nay, Project Pokemon?

Being a ROM hacker, but suggestions revolve around that area: 1) Perhaps you could have a tools and tutorial sections here. 2) Some stickyed threads for general help could be added if you want to. Overall, the site is decent.

I don't remember where I found it, but I found this smilie somewhere: I am requesting that this get placed with the existing smilies. [edit]:Hello? Is anyone out there?
-
I frequently use my DSi to get onto these forums (like I am now), and it often runs out of memory. Is there any way to "fix" the forum to use less memory?
-
I have noticed that certain smilies have been removed, so the posts that included them have thei placeholders (:_eek:,:_kikkiman:[after removing the "_"'s, in case it is fixed]), etc. Please add them back, the new ones:<3<(:3:(>:):p:S:\):o, are a little odd. [On their own with no other choice] [edit] []=edited unless inside symbols of inclusion.

I noticed some people have their usernames orange, blue or other colors. What does it mean?

I wasn't sure where to put this, but is there a list of all of the little badge icons that some people have under their usernames?

I could have sworn I saw this somewhere in here before, but couldn't just now. Is there any policy on this site regarding the size of one's signature? I swear there are soo many people here with giant signatures. They generally only post one line responses, but with their sig it takes up the more than half of my browser window. And MY screen res is at 1280x800. Even without clicking on all of their survey result "spoilers" the thing is still huge. So my question... is there a policy? If not, there should be.

Infractions are things you will recieve if another user reports your posted thread for spam or any other non-complient content. The infraction kind of looks like a Red Shard symbol which will be shown on the bottom right corner of the reported thread. Click on that Red Shard to see what report reason is assested. Infractions are worth points depending on how bad your post is. If you recieve 100 Infraction Points or more, your account is suspended until one or some of the infractions expire.

SO, as the title says, I've got two things: Thing one is a technical issue (and a gripe). Thing two is a gripe. Here is both parts of thing one: I use the Techron forum skin because it allows the fields to expand with my window size (and looks better than the orignal). I'd switch to the new Pokemon Project one, but it stays pretty small. Here's the technical issue: I'm using Google Chrome and the new icon that appears in thread names that indicates tags (looks like a pencil... or a tag) does not display properly and ends up being really wide and messing up the display dimensions of the individual frames of the forum. Thing two: On the Pokemon Project forum skin, there is a list of Pokemon things near the top... I assume to attract search engines or just to let people know what kind of stuff is discussed here. In this grouping, the name of the new movie is listed as "Arceus: Towards the Overcome's Time Space!" which I think is pretty stupid. It's not a great translation to begin with, BUT IT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE! A much more natural, logical, and accurate translation would be "Arceus: To (or towards, either is fine here) the Conquering of Space-Time" ... an exclamation point is not needed, either.

Ok, for my next theme I'm sure what it should be based on; an Arceus theme or a GS remake theme? I'll post a poll up so you can vote. I'll have voting open for two weeks, so be sure to vote if you want a say.

I was just wondering why Leader as in GymLeader is blocked out?

This is an issue brought up again and again. I don't care what we're discussing, whether it be we're debating the finer points of the DNA structure or reading a story posted by one of our fine members here, or discussing how to create a good competative battling team in Pokemon Platinum. Whatever. Pick your point. We need to have absolute respect for one another's opinions. None of that 'you're wrong and I'm right' crap. We all have reasons to why we think and believe a certain way. We need to respect that in ourselves and in the people here. If you want to debate something, state your stance, and give good examples as to why you feel that way. [As my Journalism teacher used to say, always give at least three examples for a good argument!] And don't be offended when someone states something differently than your opinion. They have their opinions, you have yours. Feel free to discuss the points and clarify where points need to be added in detail. This isn't the place to attack anyone for what they believe. We all believe differently. Religion, especially, is a topic in which you need to have great respect for others' views. Respect is everywhere you go in this forum. So you like Mudkip, why do you like Mudkip? Because it's cute? Because you like water types? You like its evolution of Swampert? Well what? Don't just say "Mupkip is the best pokemon ever." Give examples as to why, and let the reader draw their own conclusion as to why you may be right or why you may be wrong. Is my point clear? :bidoof: It's called respect, people. Have some, please.
