Oh, I see so that also means I cant use the VBA Link to do self trading and self poke block making functions with other VBA emus. Would any simple hex editor would do or is there any recommendations? also is there a simple guide to do the basic hex editor to remove the last 16 bytes of the save? Edit: What last ver of mGBA could be used to have save files compatible with the VBA emus if one seeks to use VBA RR and VBA Links?

encountering Lugia in Emerald; is it possible???
terminator1984 replied to Assclown52's topic in General Gaming
The only way to get a legit Lugia in Emerald is to gen a mystic ticket into your game, that lets you fly to the island where you can get both Ho-Oh and Lugia. These are considered legal pokemon, and you can trade them all the way to gen 8. Unless you're playing a hacked ROM, that's the only way to get these legendaries in Emerald, altho there is a way to get Ho-Oh in Colosseum and Lugia in Gale of Darkness, if you want, and transfer them over as well, using Trigger's PC to trade the pokemon between saves like a fan made Poke Bank works wonders and I recommend it as well What you're probably referring to would be either Latias or Latios, roaming legendaries that can be caught theoretically anywhere once they're triggered, Latios looks similar to Lugia at first glance and can escape you if you fail to catch it -
OH! I was using save states from the emulator I'm using, that makes a lot of sense idk why I didn't think of that. Thank you, it works now lol.

Looking for Ultra Sun sav before 3rd Island?
Gambitscard replied to Gambitscard's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Actually, I did not. I added max game corner coins and the pokeathelon points, plus a few berries. I was able to advance through her gym and fought all the trainers, but when I go to her (mind you my game just showed the 7 badges), she gives me the dialogue for when you defeat her. I found a few posts online of others having similar issues. I genuinely am not sure how my messing with my inventory could have messed this up, but oh well, serves me right I guess. -
Arceus and Furfrou dropdown menu to change forms not showing in PkHAX.
theSLAYER replied to Zujutakkies's topic in PKHeX
Oh, I think I know the issue, and it really isn't a PKHeX thing, but a HOME thing. For Arceus: It never displays any forms when transferred/shown via HOME. Presumably because previously (a) the forms are item dependent and (b) HOME doesn't retain held items. This extends to PLA; Arceus form's there isn't item dependent, however, perhaps for compatibility, it reverts back to Normal form. As for Furfrou: If I recall correctly, so far only transfers from GO keeps their trims. Any other game reverts them to normal. So the same setting is theoretically applied to SWSH too. -
Oh, ok. Thanks!

Credits Roll Pokémon Edit in PkHex (Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire)
Paco replied to Paco's topic in Miscellaneous Help
Oh I have no clue about Hex values. Maybe comparing a save before first encounter? -
oh, thanks!

No, it has no met location in HOME, nor moves or Dynamax Level. This Ho-Oh was moved from SWSH to BDSP via HOME, traded to a sysbot to obtain the .pb8 file, and then the .pb8 file was injected and traded back to the same BDSP save via sysbot. No alterations were made to the Pokemon, nor was there a duplicate of it present in HOME, BDSP or any other service. It was then placed back in HOME, which failed to identify it as the same Ho-Oh. The Pokemon was ostensibly identical before and after being extracted and injected, and there were no competing Pokemon with the same HOME tracker anywhere. This seems like it would imply there are other tracking parameters on the actual Pokemon not supported by PKHeX - how else would HOME fail to identify it if nothing detectable by PKHeX was changed? Either that or I'm misunderstanding how HOME tracking works, which I don't think I am.
-
The question for you is whether the “met location” shows up correctly in HOME, as well as other data like moves and Dynamax Level. When you try to inset Ho-Oh into HOME, when you already have the same tracker in HOME, it’ll reassign a new tracker, but carry forward the other information. also, HOME might internally track which game the tracker exited to..
-
Have a bit of a question about the new HOME tracker mechanics. This Ho-Oh (attached for reference) was originally transferred from Pokemon Bank and has data in SWSH as well. Sending it to BDSP, trading it to a sysbot, and reinjecting via sysbot seems to have wiped its HOME tracker data, despite no visible changes being made to the .pb8 file in the latest version of PKHeX. My understanding is that, because the HOME tracker visible in PKHeX hasn't been changed (nor anything else visible in PKHeX), HOME would 'remember' the Pokemon server-side and be able to restore its moves/Dynamax Level/etc when returned to SWSH, as well as exempt it from the one-shiny-legendary-per-BDSP-save rule. Neither of these have been the case. Am I misunderstanding how the HOME tracker works, or are there other tracking parameters not currently supported by PKHeX? Ho-Oh BDSP.pb8

PKHeX new update legality errors (contribution page)
TheNinjask replied to theSLAYER's topic in PKHeX

So recently I started playing crystal again and I wanted to make some edits to my pokemon, however whenever I try to open my file PkHeX shows this --> https://imgur.com/a/FSJal0L Originally I thought it was cause I was playing a rom hack (Pokemon Crystal251). I figured it was unlikely because it only added a couple npcs and such to make certain unobtainable pokemon obtainable but I decided maybe it was was worth checking. I eventually download 3 different crystal roms all of which opened, worked and had seemingly nothing wrong with them when I used my emulator, but none of them worked with PKHeX. At this point I thought "oh I guess crystal just doesn't work with PKHeX" but I wanted to be sure so I went searching and I found some people who had similar problems that eventually got fixed, none of them worked for me. I also found someones crystal save that was having these problems and got it fixed and when I went to open it, it Worked! So now I'm confused, is it just that all three roms I downloaded are no good or is there something else wrong with PKHex. Please Help. Heres my Crystal save and my PKHeX Files PokemonCrystal251.sav

GEN3 Lilycove Museum pokemon data? (Pokemon Rescue) ✔️⭐
pokemontourist replied to pokemontourist's topic in Saves - Research
Nop, no idea about OTILIO It may be a Colosseum OT (but of the spanish version). EDIT: Oh, BASILIO! I'm pretty sure that's a Colosseum OT! (of the purified pkmn) ANABEL should appear in the hall of fame, that's were I was able to recover the ditto's PID and a couple more of other pokemon. That's where I got the blaziken's PID too. I suspect that OT is not stored when a pokemon gets a painting, because in the hall of fame you can see that ingame, while in the museum you just see the sprite and nickname of the pokemon/species. Maybe because the devs showed less to the player, they decided to store less too. I know for a fact that there is leftover data of a piloswine too that was transferred, another gamesharked copy of the original. And I know for a fact that one doesn't have ribbons, so it can't be the one from the museum (I still have that one in gen4, just checked just in case). And ooohh.... so it was the gamesharked ditto that did the contest!? For reference, these are the in-game paintings of the two shiny pokemon (both should be ANABEL OT to be the originals, and not the gamesharked copies): ("The smartness maestro - the wise Pokémon <Name>" and "The mighty tough hyper Pokémon <Name>") Here is the same sav without the ghost data of the transfers so the museum locations can be easier to track down. Worst case scenario, I did get the paintings with the gamesharked copies of the two legit pokemon (JORGE OT), and they are irrecuperable (well, the piloswine is...), hopefully that's not the case! GEN3 Lilycove Museum pokemon data? (Pokemon Rescue) ✔️⭐
pokemontourist replied to pokemontourist's topic in Saves - Research
Oh... I see, I had no idea about that regarding the video! And the problem is that my pokemon didn't have a nickname. So that makes it tougher to find. Here is the sav! In the museum there are 5 paintings; of a piloswine, ditto (both shiny), ninjask, zigzagoon and Blaziken (nicknamed RON). I do have the PID of the ditto if it was necessary to compare. Here goes nothing: POKEMON_EMER_BPES00.sav -
Hi!!! I am doing translations on genVII games to brazilian portuguese. I have some troubles when importing the translated texture files in game. I don't know if its a pk3DS problem or no. Here is the steps that I am doing to extract/import: 1) The file location is on ExtractedRomFS\a\0\6\7 (I want to translate the battle graphics) 2) I extract the 7 file in pk3DS and got the 7_g folder. 3) Inside the folder, 7_g/004/02.bin (the 02 is where are the english files) 4) I extract again with pk3ds and got a sarc extracted folder. 5) a\0\6\7_g\004\02_sarc\timg -> Grpfont_Battle_MainButton_All.bflim this is the file I want to translate. 6) So, I use Kukki to export the bflim to png, edit and import back to a .bflim file. Now I have the problem, because I have to pack the files back to "7" and I extracted the files two times (the 7 and the 02.bin file). The problem is when I need to repack the 02.bin. When I repack the 02_sarc folder in pk3DS, is generated a 02.sarc file. This file can't be read to extract again by pk3ds, generating a error message, so, I don't know if the program don't support the sarc file, it can extract the original files, but I have problems on repacks because it don't extract the modified ones. (the 2 error messages when I am extracting the modified file are attached) When I rename the 02.sarc to 02.bin and repack the 7_g, in game the game freeze when the battle starts. (the last attach) Someone knows how can I import this graphic to the 02.bin file? Thank you! Oh, here are the "7" file if someone can test it: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Qvln92XBRxINZbpKFwUesX8YTKH5-xAd?usp=sharing Thanks for all help
