PKHeX new update legality errors (contribution page)
Traqueteo34 replied to theSLAYER's topic in PKHeX
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but this is a very specific problem with an old pokemon, nothing about S/V. This is about the legit Colosseum Ho-oh. In this game you can change the languaje in the opening menu settings from English, French, German, Italian and Spanish (PAL version). And it have a different OT according to each languaje as you can see in this blog http://ninapokediary.blog34.fc2.com/blog-entry-323.html I was playing in spanish and after a long time finally got the Ho-oh.... but the OT was Ernesto, not a cool name and lose the gag that other languajes have like Mattle (from Mt. Battle) OT in english. Fortunately I have a backup save before the 100th battle, so I changed the languaje to german because Ho-oh have the cooler DUELLBERG OT, I have a video showing how I got this german Ho-oh in my spanish story mode (you can check this blog also http://nobutaboo.blog26.fc2.com/blog-entry-280.html) So I usually open pkhex to check ivs and stuff, not modifying anything and for my surprise it mark german Ho-oh as illegal. I also checked the other save with spanish ho-oh and it was totally ok. Dolphin Emulator 2022.11.27 - 02.28.27.16-00.04.02.124-00.05.19.571.mp4 -
Got it, the Event Flags are 147 for Ho-oh and 148 for Lugia. This should unlock the respective events. Update: changing this alone doesn't help. The event flags for the bells and the Kimono girls' location are also needed. 279 and 581 need to be set for Ho-oh and 280 and 580 for Lugia. I'll update if anything more is needed. These can be changed in PKHeX through SAV -> Event Flags -> Research -> (set flag number)

PKHeX new update legality errors (contribution page)
wejhvabewjty replied to theSLAYER's topic in PKHeX
I think it shows up as illegal because the checker doesn't take in account that you can change the language in the PAL version of the game. I'm almost certain that Colosseum saves data about the language you start the game with. Any Pokémon you catch, will also have that language, even if you decide to change it afterwards. That is why your Ho-Oh shows up as Spanish, even though you changed the language to German, which is probably considered as a mismatch by PKHeX given Ho-Oh's OT name. -
Hey, I want to make sure that the ho-oh you got from colloseum has sapphire in origin game when you import him through pk2pk. It's kinda strange when lugia, moltres, articuno and zapdios from has colloseum/XD in origin game when i do the same import. It is normal ?

Feebas is possibly the most time consuming, ignoring Mythicals + Ho-Oh & Lugia. Getting all the legendary beasts also qualify, if you only have one copy of FRLG and no Colosseum. For the record: Mew - some form of hacking non present day Celebi - JP Colo Bonus Disc Jirachi - US Colo Bonus Disc Deoxys - some form of hacking in present day Ho-Oh - Colodrum Mt Battle Lugia - Gale of Darkness
-
Oh yeah - Feebas took me way longer than it should have x.x Are both Ho-Oh and Lugia obtainable from NTSC games? Idk why I remember reading something about needing to complete a JP game to be able to get one of them.

I like the way you literally have to go to GF office in-game to complain about how horrible the gyroscope control is in order to disable it.
But at the same time, I hate it for not being a simple, obvious menu option. -
Hi, in order to complete the challenges of Pokemon Home (e.g. "Register Venusaur from the good ol' Kanto Region!"), I'm looking for pokémon from past regions, but with HOME TRACKER ID. I missed 48 pokémon from specific games that I listed below. Can someone please help me to find them in .pk9-8 VENUSAUR, CHARIZARD, BLASTOISE, PIKACHU (from RedBlueYellow) (4) SUICUNE, HO-OH, LUGIA (from GSC) (3) GROUDON,KYOGRE, RAYQUAZA (from RSE) (3) VENUSAUR, CHARIZARD, BLASTOISE (from FRLG) (3) TURTWIG, CHIMCHAR, PIPLUP, DIALGA, PALKIA, GIRATINA (from DPPt) (6) HO-OH, LUGIA (from HGSS) (2) RESHIRAM, ZEKROM (from BW) (2) RESHIRAM, ZEKROM, KYUREM (from B2W2) (3) XERNEAS, YVELTAL (from XY) (2) TREECKO, GROVYLE, SCEPTILE, MUDKIP, MARSHTOMP, SWAMPERT, TORCHIC, COMBUSKEN, BLAZIKEN, GROUDON, KYOGRE, RAYQUAZA (from ORAS) (12) COSMOG, COSMOEM, SOLGALEO, LUNALA, NECROZMA (from SM) (5) SOLGALEO, LUNALA, NECROZMA (from USUM) (3)

Yes. Mt Battle Ho-Oh is in all Colo, XD Lugia is in all.. XD. Thing is you gotta think about the requirements to get them. FYI They weren’t required for Gen 3 Nat dex completion.

Has anyone completed the national pokedex in Emerald here? I was wondering, what was the most time consuming of the mons to get? - I'm pretty close to finishing it, just missing some legendaries, I'll attempt to get the mythicals as well, even if its not necessary. I think Celebi and Ho-oh are possible using a JP gamecube -> JP Ruby/Sapphire -> NTSC versions.

Hello, I just wanted to say that I did overall enjoy playing through this romhack, but I'd run into a small problem; when trying to register my Pokemon in Battle Mode (for obtaining Ho-oH), the game just freezes. I'm uncertain as to whether that's a known feature or if it's something gone wrong on my end.

After the next stable release (or if you use the current development build), all Colosseum Ho-Oh will correctly no longer appear with the fateful encounter flag.
-
No, it has no met location in HOME, nor moves or Dynamax Level. This Ho-Oh was moved from SWSH to BDSP via HOME, traded to a sysbot to obtain the .pb8 file, and then the .pb8 file was injected and traded back to the same BDSP save via sysbot. No alterations were made to the Pokemon, nor was there a duplicate of it present in HOME, BDSP or any other service. It was then placed back in HOME, which failed to identify it as the same Ho-Oh. The Pokemon was ostensibly identical before and after being extracted and injected, and there were no competing Pokemon with the same HOME tracker anywhere. This seems like it would imply there are other tracking parameters on the actual Pokemon not supported by PKHeX - how else would HOME fail to identify it if nothing detectable by PKHeX was changed? Either that or I'm misunderstanding how HOME tracking works, which I don't think I am.

encountering Lugia in Emerald; is it possible???
terminator1984 replied to Assclown52's topic in General Gaming
The only way to get a legit Lugia in Emerald is to gen a mystic ticket into your game, that lets you fly to the island where you can get both Ho-Oh and Lugia. These are considered legal pokemon, and you can trade them all the way to gen 8. Unless you're playing a hacked ROM, that's the only way to get these legendaries in Emerald, altho there is a way to get Ho-Oh in Colosseum and Lugia in Gale of Darkness, if you want, and transfer them over as well, using Trigger's PC to trade the pokemon between saves like a fan made Poke Bank works wonders and I recommend it as well What you're probably referring to would be either Latias or Latios, roaming legendaries that can be caught theoretically anywhere once they're triggered, Latios looks similar to Lugia at first glance and can escape you if you fail to catch it -
@ozderya I know it's a bit late, but based on recent findings across the community, it appears they found the source of the issue. All Ho-Oh from Colosseum, that is *still in Colosseum/Pokemon in Colosseum format* (like yours) will have the Fateful Encounter flag checked. This appears to be a mistake related to the Fateful Encounter flag being incorrect documented for Colosseum. Additionally, if you trade your Ho-Oh out from Colosseum to a GBA game normally, then proceed to use PKHeX to check the GBA Gen 3 save, it would not have the Fateful Encounter flagged. Just keeping you updated :3

Have a bit of a question about the new HOME tracker mechanics. This Ho-Oh (attached for reference) was originally transferred from Pokemon Bank and has data in SWSH as well. Sending it to BDSP, trading it to a sysbot, and reinjecting via sysbot seems to have wiped its HOME tracker data, despite no visible changes being made to the .pb8 file in the latest version of PKHeX. My understanding is that, because the HOME tracker visible in PKHeX hasn't been changed (nor anything else visible in PKHeX), HOME would 'remember' the Pokemon server-side and be able to restore its moves/Dynamax Level/etc when returned to SWSH, as well as exempt it from the one-shiny-legendary-per-BDSP-save rule. Neither of these have been the case. Am I misunderstanding how the HOME tracker works, or are there other tracking parameters not currently supported by PKHeX? Ho-Oh BDSP.pb8
