This program takes screenshots of your computer screen, checks if a pokemon is shiny, and either reloads the ROM from a savestate or pauses it. To check out testing and if you want to support, check this project out on Twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/gaminglegion01 or on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6bPU1SmnZZXlETv1DlW91Q. This is where I am, almost, constantly live-streaming the project for testing and personal shiny hunting. This is the best place to see the most up-to-date version in action and see for yourself whether you think it's worth it or not. Currently, this program is limited and in progress. These variables will be fixed in the future but these are the current limitations: - Only works on 1920x1080 and 1280x720 size screen (not resolution) - Only works for Generation 2 and 3 games - Only tested in VBA-M so far - Game text speed set to Fast - Only works for the starters I have made HUGE strides, in terms of this project, in making this program better. I appreciate everyone who downloaded and supported this as I have been excited to get back into it. If you find any bugs let me know. Below is how you should set yourself up for each game before starting, as well as how the program works with the new changes. --- How it works --- Upon hitting the Start button, any instance of VMA-M will force close and reopen with some new user configuration, modified by this program. The program will then load the savestate in the first slot, save over it, and start detecting the inputted Pokemon. Once detected, the program will pause VBA-M and stop giving inputs. It should be noted that upon the program stopping by detection, stopping on button press, or stopping on close, the original user configurations will be re-added so that nothing will happen to your normal gameplay. --- Gold/Silver/Crystal Setup --- You want to align your player on the bottom side of the table facing the Pokeball of your choice. Drop a save in-game, then a savestate. From there you are golden. --- Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Setup --- You want to align your player on the bottom or right side of the satchel facing into it. Drop a save in-game, then a savestate. From there you are golden. --- FireRed/LeafGreen Setup --- You want to align your player on the bottom side of the table facing the Pokeball of your choice. Drop a save in-game, then a savestate. From there you are golden.

This gift is distributed to players via a serial code, given in participating stores in Europe, from 25 September to 25 October 2020. The codes are redeemable until January 31st, 2021 (Thanks @AlamosIT for the report). Using the Dynamax Crystal would allow the Pokémon to appear at the Watchtower Lair's Den as a max raid. The Pokémon can be Shiny with standard odds. Attached there are the wonder card, the standard Pokémon and the Shiny variation. To be able to use the items associated with the event, including injecting items into the save and getting it to work, the player's Switch must be connected to the internet, with the Mystery Gift>Get Wild Area News option used during the event period. Alternatively the player must have connected to the internet and redeemed a Mystery Gift during the event period. This gift can be redeemed on either Sword or Shield. This events also has a certain fixed IVs. As of time of writing, end date for the serial code redemption is presently unknown. In order for the item (whether redeemed or hacked in) to function, players would need to have at least Wild Area Event #24 downloaded into the save. (When collecting a Mystery Gift, a copy of the Wild Area News would be downloaded to the save) As of LGPE, wonder cards are no longer stored in saves. As such, players will not be able to inject this event into their save using PKHeX. 16. @theSLAYER I mentioned in the second paragraph that Gen 2 will be ideally uploaded in a few days, as it is still being filled up with pokemon. My limited free time, and the need to zero out the Gen 2 software's unique "one-pokemon-per-campaign" date flag in the save's hex between each distribution, all makes it take a bit of time. The reason I uploaded the Gen 3 saves now instead of waiting until I also had the Gen 2 save is because this link is needed before Saturday morning to go along with some further public documentation. Ideally I'll have the Gen 2 save uploaded by or on Saturday, but no guarantee. @TheSchilling Are you referring to the campaign data from the actual distribution machine's memory cards? All of the machine's software and data are totally unusable unless you have the original machine in your possession, so there's no point in anyone uploading them until we have an emulation or public hardware solution available. Which if you refer to my explanation in the main post, it will likely take quite some time. Don't worry, the data is in possession of enough people to where it won't end up being lost. It will eventually be public one way or another, I will make sure of that.

It appears that this gift was distributed to players via a serial code, to promote players to visit their local game shops prior to the release of DLC 1: Isle of Armor. The event was distributed to a few regions: Europe - from June 05 to July 05, 2021. Ireland - from June 29 to July 31, 2021. US - from August 14 to August 31, 2021. Back in the end of year 1999, Toys "R" Us in the United States and Canada ran a lucky draw campaign, via a peel sticker, that gave players a 1/5 chance of getting the Mew. The first 1,500 winners (per country) that went for the redemption will be able to receive Mew on their copy of Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow. Around the same time frame, magazine Nintendo Power also did a giveaway to the first 1,000 applicants. Various other information regarding this can be found here. 21. One of the Slot A memory cards we obtained had a date range (3 Jan 2003 - 30 Jan 2003) written on the label that corresponds with the following four Gen 2 campaigns: When data is deleted from a memory card, it still remains hidden in the raw data until it is overwritten by new save data. That is the ONLY reason @Gridelin was able to recover Evolution Stone, Monster Week 1, and the Gen 2 campaigns from one of the other Slot A memory cards. Unfortunately for the memory card the original owner's ex gf overwrote, the save data for Phantasy Star was large enough to completely wipe over the raw remnant data of whatever was on that particular memory card, presumably what was on the label. So that is lost forever, unless the same memory card used at one of the other three kiosks turns up. That is why we have two memory cards that contain Campaigns 3, 4, 5, and 6 consecutively, and two memory cards that contain Campaign 1. They were from different kiosk stations (PCNYa/b/c/d). The rest of the campaigns were remnant deleted data from these cards. With the PCNY campaigns we do have, yes we have all the pokemon within those campaigns. Though we are still missing many of the other campaigns that were not on these memory cards.

In Pokémon FireRed, LeafGreen & Emerald, lies a cave named the Altering Cave. At first glance, all it has are wild Zubat, which makes me people ask "why the heck does this cave even exist to begin with". As it turns out, there is more to this cave than it meets the eye. This cave was programmed to make use of special Mystery Gifts, that would allow the wild Pokémon species that appears to be altered. Sadly, this game feature never had an event to make use of it. Following it's initial release in Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen, all the Pokémon that could have been caught from here, could also be encountered in the extended Safari Zone of Pokémon Emerald. (with the exception of Smeargle: it can be caught in Artisan cave in Battle Frontier) Despite these Pokémon all being available in Pokémon Emerald, it's not known why this cave was also included for it. This page hosts the Pokémon that can be encountered in an altered Altering Cave, as well as other means to get them to appear. New update! This page also holds a custom wonder card, that can be used to cycle through the encounters of Altering Cave, whenever you talk to the deliveryman! Take note: if you toss/remove the wonder card, the encounters in Altering Cave will be stuck at the last species encountered. Also note: FireRed/LeafGreen & Emerald have their own wonder cards. FRLG cannot use Emerald wonder card and vice versa. The encounters that get cycled are (and it wraps back to the start): Zubat, Mareep, Pineco, Houndour, Teddiursa, Aipom, Shuckle, Stantler, Smeargle. International Wonder Card (ENG FRE GER ITA SPA) Card is English language, but works on the languages listed. Japanese Wonder Card (Hint: You'll need the WC3TOOL to inject wonder cards into your save.) Also, PKHeX usage: Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen: Event constant 36 Pokémon Emerald: Event constant 62 Cycling through 0 to 8 in the above given event constant, results in the rotation of the species that appears. Also, for cheat code usage: Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen: Pokémon Emerald Codes: Credits to the Pokémon: @HaxAras Credits to codes: @BlackShark Original Post:

  24. I'm so glad it's confirmed they didn't bother to shiny-lock it. It makes Crystal well worth of a VC re-release, and not as much of a cash grab. I'm not too big on transferring, I prefer keeping pokemon in their origin generation. Though I'll definitely transfer a second shiny Celebi to my current-Gen shiny mythical/legend collection. I hope the other unobtainable shiny mythicals become available soon. At least we can expect the Alola legends won't be shiny-locked when we get them in Gen VIII.
