Friend Code (Nintendo Switch)

Friend Code (3DS)

NNID (Wii U)

  1. The only way to be able to not worry about nintendo updates is to downgrade to 9.2 and use a custom firmware, either with or without arml9loaderhax. If correctly set up, you don't need Arm9LoaderHax to prevent updating your 9.2 system (which is a long process were you can brick your 3DS, the possibility is really low if you use opthelper, which makes sure everything is ok before any real attempt). Of course if a child is to use the console or the boot failures are a nuisanse arm9loaderhax is a better option. The dangerous process is still the downgrade (again, pretty low brick rate with the correct tools and making sure you have the correct files (and all of them) in the sd card). I think there are homebrew options to keep playing online while not being in the latest firmware. Given pokémon games haven't had an update for a very long time, your main concern should be e-shop and other game updates if nintendo updates firmware and you want to stay in 11.0 (unless they can't patch SmileBasic, but they have already gone the "update or you can't run the game" way brefore). Of course with a hardmod you don't have to worry about bricking as long as you have a working nand backup.
  2. I tied yesterday to play Pokemon Colloseum with E-reader cards in Dolphin 5.0 and VBA-M (the last SVN version with e-reader and link support) I hexedit my EU Save to make it a JP Save and it works with JP Pokemon Colloseum (it didnt work before in 4.0.2 Dolphin) Unfortunately it not work with PAL Pokemon Colloseum, i have made the save PAL again with hexedit inside the e-reader room but the e-reader connection fail in VBA. I have not tried with a US game
  3. They are 0 even on japanesse? Those are some useless shadow pokemon... maybe I'll check the e-card data, but I think the feature is in colosseum, reading the card just enables it.
  4. I wasn't having any luck with getting it to work on Dolphin. Every time the e-Reader gave me a communication failure message. Is this one of those keep trying until it works deals? Edit: It is in fact one of those deals. I managed to get it to work after the 10th or so time right after posting that. Card loading worked perfectly. Edit 2: Fun fact. If you don't want to deal with the hassle every time you connect, you can in fact save state the loaded Colosseum Data on your emulator then when you want to use it again load up the e-Reader Plus then the save state then goto the registration counter in the e-Reader Room in Colosseum. Edit 3: It seems like all the shadow Pokemon have 0 in every IV. That's a shame. Edit 3.5: All e-Reader Shadow Pokemon. Edit 4: Finished catching them all. Occasionally the e-Reader was finicky or VBA-M crashed but overall it worked a lot better than I expected it to. Here's some screenshots Edit 5: Here's a download with all 3 e-Reader Shadow Pokemon (English US) in Box 2
  5. Should work with vba-m and dolphin. Since you are on it, might you keep a save before capturing each of the 3 shadow pokemon? Loading that save in each language of the game should give us the pokémon for each language. Since the savefile trainer can be edited, having those save files would be the easiest way to get those extra shadow pokémon, since if I correctly understood you can save after reading the e-card before the shadow pokémon battle. Also good for those who like soft-resetting for natures and such. Only the JAP ones would be really legit though, but accessible to everybody.
  6. I vote to distribute all 3. I have the actual E-reader card and it allows you to send all 3. I think it might even allow you to do it more than once. One small issue I found with the events feature. I added a copy of my Spanish Ruby save to the tool so I could add the events and upload it elsewhere. I'd already activated the events on my save already in the tool so it claimed they'd already been used on the copy. (The only difference between the 2 saves is one has my living Pokedex and the copy doesn't.)
  7. Is this a regidolls savegame where you modified the language setting so it works with other languages? Or is it a modified rom to be recognized as japanesse? In any case I wanted to look into this and actually create ereader saves for eon ticket in the other languages, I know it can be done, but haven't looked into it yet. Same goes for the regi dolls, the distribution data for the japanesse e-card vpk can be translated and made to work in other languages I guess, but I'd like to see the script before (but seems to work just fine as you show in your video). The usa eon ticket vpk can actually be modified to distribute any script (i.e. receive celebi egg...), It's very interesting for RS as they lack wifi WC distribution that can be achieved with custom wondercards. Ps: everyone cross fingers for shipment and quick response by nintendo, I'm eager for the missing events (specially eon tickets!). Too bad no news for french ruby yet.
  8. Well to be honnest, i've a backup. Doesn't work (fail with writing on memory card) okay it's a savestate, it's my fault, but i thought i'd be enough haha. But if it's fixed soon (i hope so) it's not a problem, i'm doing a run of FR / R / S / E for Trigger's PC so it's okay o/
  9. 10. Suloku's been working on a tool for both event injection and editing. For R/S it'll handle the e-Reader stuff (American Eon Ticket, Trainers, Berries and the Regi Dolls )and Europe's Eon Ticket (in all five languages) while for FRLG and Emerald it'll handle Wonder Cards (both the officially released events and unused events like Altering Cave and Battle Trainers similar to the e-Reader ones R/S got). He said he'll release the tool once all the European events are collected from Nintendo Italy. But if you don't want to wait for the tool, you can always resort to things like cheat devices, Morfeo's hacked events or Takasan's tool if you want events for the Japanese games.
  11. A second tour? I'd assume that they were still from the e-Card (handed out or not), but it looks like we'll never know.
  12. The was a distribution at Toys R Us from July 19th to September 1st 2003. Did they only distribute the e-Cards or was it done with an distribution cart? I could only find a news post on this site http://pkmn.net/?action=news&page=viewnews&id=290 but I think I read it somewhere else before. "you'll get the Eon Ticket downloaded onto your cartridge" doesn't sound like they distrbuted e-Cards. Unfortunately this might be lost in history though.
  13. Been meaning to post about this, but I think you might as well remove the entry for the American Eon Ticket that isn't from the e-Card. There's no info on there being an event for it like in Japan and Europe.
  14. I've never had a problem getting the Colosseum Bonus disk to work for me. The Regi dolls also aren't that unobtainable. I know I posted a save file of Ruby on this site a couple weeks ago that had the regi dolls in it. I also scanned them into an Emerald save and that's on another forums. I'll be using this tool quite a lot now that I know it exists. I'll report to you any problems or bugs I might find. Edit: Well, I guess I found one problem. It keeps crashing. I was slowly moving my Pokemon from various saves into the tools PC and then it crashed. I booted it back up and it just crashed again. If you're looking for suggestions for features: A way to move multiple Pokemon at once. Not only is it tedious moving one Pokemon at a time. But my arm just fell asleep and now it's tingling. I try to avoid using my computer mouse for extended periods of time to prevent this from happening, but still. I'm also adding my Ruby save with the decoration Present scanned in for anybody who wants the Regi Dolls. They were scanned in using a legit E-reader and card so if you don't mind clones of the real thing, here ya go! Edit 2: I take it this is in reference to different languages? I was able to move Pokemon from a Spanish Colosseum save and items from my Japanese Ruby save. Every single time I even click on a Pokemon from my Japanese Colosseum, the program crashes. I was able to right click and move a Japanese Pokemon but as soon as I was trying to place it, the program crashed.
  15. no, that's not what I want, I managed to load cards directly from the e-reader to the German and Italian French language but in Spanish can not.
  16. Quick question, do we need Japanese e reader cards? Someone is selling them in my country.
  17. Tool e-berry and e-trainer will be included in tool the wonder cards?
  18. Not that I know. The Emerald Version of the Eon Ticket Event as we know used the hardcoded script that is activated by the activation of a simple flag. Besides all the Emerald e-Cards I saw so far were Trainer Cards. + Correct me if I'm wrong... (Mystery Events & e-Cards are still new to me in many ways, so I don't know too much about them...) R&S e-Cards and FR&LG e-Cards are incompabitle with Emerald? This would basically mean that besides the Eon Ticket Mystery Event there were only Trainer Events in Emerald. And the function you found was appearently completely unused. So it's kinda interesting to know about it. Would be cool to figure out that checksum too... The question remains if it's worth all the effort... Btw. great to hear that the Berry Editor is coming!
  19. Thank you very much for the information. Some things about berries: * Region 0xC-0x13 (8 bytes) is 0x00 in the e-card data, but once in the save it has data (unknown meaning) * Region 0xC-0x13 (8 bytes) is interpreted as being 0x00 when the berry checksum is calculated (same method as for RS mistery event). * USA berries work on jap games, but description won't shown. More info on what makes them different is needed, but I've read it has to do with text string lengths, but the other data for the berry might be in the same offsets. Export/import berry has been added (0x41A set to 0x01 when injecting). Berry editor coming. I also need to add handling of the different checksum calculation for mistery event in emerald. Is there any information about what mistery event was used for in JAP Emerald and FRLG? Besides eon ticket on emerald I know nothing. EDIT: http://puu.sh/oL61R/0fd6e7af9e.png http://puu.sh/oL6BM/42a4d0a9a0.png Only the "usage by trainer" field is missing from editor, but it is rather complicated, so I'm leaving it for later.. It'd be great if I could convert png files to berry sprites and vice versa, but it's probably too complicated for me and there's surely some gen 3 sprite editors out there. If I get the file format I could export/import berry sprite from that format. There seems to be some upper/down limits to the berry propierties, as I set all to max and the berry wasn't recognized by the game. I'll check what the values are tomorrow.
  20. I might be coding this, but I'm no experienced coder at all, less in C# and windows forms, so since this is how I did it and it works, I'm not changing it Btw, here's the RS script for regidolls from Morfeo: '--------------- #org 0x4 setvirtualaddress 0x8000004 lock faceplayer virtualmsgbox 0x8000080 '"PAPÁ["][player]! No tienes especio para otro\nPOKé DOLL.\pPrimero haz espacio en tu PC y\ndespués regresa conmigo. From what he did, I've deduced how to create the script and make the pointers relative to the script, so with XSE it will be a piece of cake. Also, it seems morfeo didn't know there's a command to check if the dolls are already in the decoration inventory, as he sets some flags to make sure he gives the 3 dolls instead of doing it the "right" way. Also, the checksum used in mistery event for Emerald is the very same used for wondercards. GF probably implemented it on emerald and used it for ME too. EDIT: Re-reading this: http://forums.glitchcity.info/index.php?topic=7114.0 What I thought to be some kind of header for the script in mistery event, may be the person to whom the script is associated: Offset Len Description $00 1 Map bank $01 1 Map number $02 1 Person event number $03 4 Pointer to script start $07 4 Pointer to script end I may be wrong, but advancemap (an editing tool) may tell us if Norman at petalburg gym has something to do with "33 08 01 01" EDIT 2: After comparing USA save after transfering enigma berry with e-reader: Section 2: 0x41A bit 0 has been set (changed from 0x00 to 0x01) --> maybe this is the flag that triggers norman to give an enigma berry Section 4: 0x2E0 - 0x80F e-Card Berry data inserted. There's no more changes, gonna see if that bit in section 2 really is a flag for enigma berry.
  21. OK, current feature list and a little todo list: * export/injectWC3 to all games (woncercards) * export/inject WN3 to all games (wondernews) * export/inject trainers to all games (it is the same offset for jap/international, no difference with what an e-reader does to the savefile) * export mistery event+script for RS/E (not sure about the uses for emerald, same changes when injected with e-reader and with changes via official nintendo Italy and taka's tools) * enable eon ticket in emerald the same way as taka's tool does (not legit in anything else than JAP) * enable mistery event and mistery gift in the save (just for convenience, but in-game enabling is recommended) * Editors for WC3 (eng), WN3 (eng), trainer and mistery event (can modify item and cuantity, as well as change the script) * Secret base decoration editor (I would need someone to test with JAP RS and emerald, but should be the same) --> this can be used to get the regi dolls, changes in the save are the same as when using the e-reader card. * fix checksums and also export a "sorted" current save and old save for easy hex compare To do: * Investigate how enigma berry works (luckily, we have the e-cards, should be easy. The best would be that only the e-berry data is put in the save)and make an editor (structure already researched before, so easy to do) * Export trainer as vpk for e-reader savegame injection? Ideally I may be able to export as e-reader save... but maybe there would be copyright problems? * WC3 Editor: - add the give egg experimental script from the roms and allow customizing pokemon and move (all languages, Emerald and FRLG, maybe would work on RS?) - allow to unset the flag that gets set by the give gg script - add custom give egg script that kills itself and allows customizing all 4 moves, met location and maybe something else? (only english, Emerald and FRLG, maybe would work on RS?) - add custom configurable give pokemon script (only english, Emerald and FRLG, maybe would work on RS?) - add custom configurable give item script (only english, Emerald and FRLG, maybe would work on RS?) * Check what morfeo codes actually do to the savegame (specially for trainer, berry and regi dolls events), also check what the scripts do. * Check trainer card, trainer survey and stamp card scripts, see what they were intended to do and if we can do something with them. * Create wc3 files for altering cave event for all languages using the rom script. About mistery event in emerald: I would need to make sure about the offsets/sizes, since there was no event done on emerald, we don't know were the script is supposed to be activated. Maybe they scrapped the mistery event scripts (eon ticket does not have a script, but a flag is enabled and an in-game event starts) and enigma berry occupies the place of the script. Are there enigma berry e-cards for emerald?
  22. Hello fellow Project Pokémoners, I've come here in the hopes of finding help on fixing my AS save. In short I've found myself in a situation where my e-shop AS save is "corrupted" after a system transfer from a stock O3DS to a stock N3DS. Here's the breakdown of what happened: So, my AS save is now "corrupt" because its secure value doesn't match up to the N3DS's secure value. And now I'm here because I'm a bit lost as to how I can fix my save, I think I get the gist of it, but I have some blanks to fill in. To fix this I need to update the old savefile's secure value to match that of my N3DSXL, and to do that I need to have a way to decrypt my savefiles. Which means installing homebrew and then using either svdt/savedatafiler/suloku's anti-savegame patcher/manual Hex editing? In terms of Homebrew options here's what I have: My O3DSXL that I transferred from (source). No homebrew installed. Ver. 10.7.0-32E My N3DSXL that I transferred to (target). Again no homebrew. Also Ver 10.7.0-32E The SD card from the O3DSXL with everything intact (including the old (encrypted) AS save). So, I should be able to run OOTHax (via Powersaves+OOT retail cart) and then install a9lh. But being the noob that I am, I'm a bit confused about some things (and thus I have some dumb questions): Do I need to homebrew both of my consoles? If so, in what order? (E.g. do I start with getting the secure value off the O3DS or the N3DS?) Since it's the same NNID on both consoles, does that mean that only one console can be homebrewed at a time? Once homebrewed, can a console be restored to stock and still use the fixed save? Many thanks in advance.
  23. In terms of the game/Pokemon itself? I don't know jack about what the rest of these guys are doing. You basically start up the program and it deposits a Zigzagoon into your party. You can deposit as many as you like. The game needs a working battery though. Think of it as similar to the Wishmaker Jirachi in terms of setup and being deposited but you can do in infinitely. As for the patch, I assume it just writes it to the cartridge itself. I think I read on Bulbapedia something like this. After about a year or 100 hours of playtime, the game goes into some kind of dead zone for a year. The berry fix patch basically just moves the internal date forward by a year so the game can go back to working as normal. I'm sure if you search Bulbapedia, you can find a far more coherent explanation. EDIT: I keep forgetting. Before, somebody asked if there were FR/LG and Emerald E-reader cards. There were for Japan. I only have 1 for Japan. I'm gonna scan it in eventually and write the save to an English Emerald and see what happens.
  24. E-card trainer editor is fully done, seems to work well. Aparently you can't make trainer pokemon shiny (I used a-save's pid generation tool to test, male/female pid worked). Everything can be edited. The only detail is that the Pokemon and moves words from the easy chat system apparently don't follow the same logic as all the other categories, so those words are basically broken right now. Which tool did you use to decompress the raw files? EDIT: ok, nedcenc is the tool Could you explain the merge process a little more? Getting raw into savs is really interesting. Also, the regi dolls present probably has the ROM code somewhere in it, meaning it can probably be easily modified for other regions... but for what I've seen what it does is send a script to RS, then it gets executed in the mnistery event screen and kills itself when it's done doing its job. Also, I've looked a little into it and the trainer structure is easily found in the decompressed vpk from a trainer card (using Team Fail's tool to extract it). The only difference is that it doesn't have the checksum in the vpk file (I guess it's because the vpk itself has a checksum for its data?). With Team Fail's tool making a save with a custom trainer is really easy (still needs hex editing though). I may add a export as decompressed vpk button by using an already decompressed vpk file as "template" to make the process easier. May including a decompressed vpk file in the program infringe copyright? Also, for the one asking about conversion to dotcodes: in caithsith page you can read the following: - Nintendo E-Reader dotcode bin maker - A tool to make a set of Nintendo E-Reader dotcode bin files, given a vpk file. Source code is included - VBA 1.7.2 e-reader: this VBA can load either bin or raw files. When loading bin files you will be prompted to save it as a raw dotcode. EDIT: for bin<-> raw conversion there's nedcenc.exe As you can see raw dotcodes can already be generated, the process is not as difficult. With a couple batch files it's a matter of drag and drop (compress vpk -> convert to bin -> load in vba to save as raw)
  25. Yeah, sorry. I thought it was like the Eon Ticket e-Card ect. were you get a Script. I didn't knew at the moment that it works different... suloku informed me about it already. Thx a bunch for your save files and all the stuff!
