  1. Aww, it was close, too! The first was from our favourite policeman in Gold and Silver, the one near the Daycare. At this point, I am always unsure about my statements, but whatever. The second is coming from that 'gambling part' from Red and Blue, indeed. But actually there are two 'gambling parts': one east from Vermillion and the second between Saffron and Lavender. Our hero is standing between those engineers east from Vermillion, I believe. Since you were satisfied with that answer from your dad, you must be satisfied with my answer, too!
  2. Mandi is a female name? Yes, one of the 16353684874 female names we have in the world... I do not think they pick a random name out of them, so that explanation looks too simple, if you ask me. I decided to look up that Mandibuzz and I think that 'mandible' is indeed a bit closer related to that thing. Mandibuzz has an upper jaw with some teeth (like a skirt) attached to it, so that sounds plausible. Besides, that 'eggshell' of Vullaby looks like a lower jaw in the shape of an eggshell to me.
  3. Welcome to the world of Pokémon, Rafael! (although I didn't kept you waiting that long) I hope you like your first minutes being here! I must agree with your second statement, because I also liked those RSE games very much. But I was wondering... Do you have a common interest like competitive battling, ROM-hacking or something like that? Or are you just 'the gamer' who plays the game? (nothing wrong with that, really...) Oh, and before I forget, which kind of music do you like? I think I do not know much local names in your case, I only know Lacuna Coil is from Italy. But striking enough, most people do not listen much to artists from their own country... Anyway, I cannot speak in your place, so please tell me about that, if you wish. And, indeed, I hope I see you in the forums! Have a nice evening!
  4. Hello LittleMikey! I suppose you are not as little as your name may suggest, but welcome here anyhow! Although you posted this a week ago, I see you still have an astonishing zero posts, so I do not know if I must excuse myself of being pretty late to give a reply... But I do not want to be complaining here. I also started playing Pokémon Red, where it all begun! I still find it a pro to have started chronologically with those games. But, what I want to know about you, is what kind of music you listen to and what your favourite artists are, if you have any. It is my standard question to all new members, because I think everyone has got an (different) answer to it, so I hope you will have an answer to it, too! And just another random question, are you interested in the glitches of Red & Blue? I think that can be quite fun if you know much about editing and scripts of those games. Anyway, I hope you will learn a lot about editing games while you are here! I wish you luck on your journey!* * Don't mind the Poké quotes I frequently turn out. ^^
  5. To be honest, philosophy isn't also my kind of thing, mostly it's too complex for me too. But reading books, those 'normal romans' especially, will sometimes be more comprehensible than the thoughts of a certain philosopher an sich. To be more precise, I read those books: 'L'étranger' (of Camus) and 'Les jeux sont faits' (the one of Sartre). They have blend their philosophy in a normal story in those books and I found it very appealing! Maybe that kind of books are also more suitable for you? Oh and, about Taoism, I do not know anything about it, but I am sure it will count, too. That list of artists and genres are interesting, too! Do you also like the soundtracks of the Pokémon games (or did you mean soundtracks of films and the such)? Yeah, that is a good quote, but I do not think I want to say something like that as a greeting. Unless the answer is 'Theodore Daconus'! It gets me wondering... where did that name come from?
  6. With this short introduction I can't live! But first, welcome here, but beware for those inflammable stuff (or what else caused you to explode). I immediately thought about your username, where does it come from, or is it just random? And, of course, I would fire my question about music at you, too! What kind of music is blasting through your speakers during daytime? Do you have some favourite artists to listen to? Also, I think it would be quite informative to know what 'you guess you consider yourself the most knowledgeable of'? I do not really have any clue where to think about when I read something like that, so if you would answer that, too... I would be great. Anyway, take your time to look at all the threads and I hope you'll enjoy it, being here! Manager: I'm ready to blast something! Employee: No, don't let Zeion explode again, Manager! Manager: But maybe it will fix or problem with the Power Plant! Employee: Just, don't do it again! Sorry for that random dialogue.
  7. Hello Adiana! Clear skies in nighttime... that would not be a Sunny Day, but a Starry Night. ^^ Anyway, welcome here! I am also filled with non relevant knowledge, so in that case there is always something to learn and you'll always have knowledge about... something! I hope you will post some replies although you tend to lurk around, just say something here and there. Yeah, it is very cheap to give that kind of advise, so you may ignore it. I would like to know about your affinity with music too, if I may! I am wondering which kind of music you listen and I am also wondering if you have some favourite artists? (which is hopefully an exciting question for you) Oh, and there is something more, what the heck may 'tl;dr:' mean? "Danger lurks in the night!" + "I'm a rambling, gambling dude!" Those are perfect quotes for you, although you must not take them too literally. ^^ Maybe you do know which Trainer seems to say that, with your eleven years of affinity (like, it almost as long as I know Pokémon, I think...). Didn't I say something about 'knowledge'...? Well then, have a nice day and enjoy your stay here!
  8. Hello there, Theodore Daconus! Since you are/were into the old Pokémon Games, I had to come up with some random quote of those games... but it does not seem to happen right now. ^^ Welcome here, I hope you enjoy it a bit (I've already seen some posts from you more early this week). Beside reading books, what kind of music do you (frequently) listen to? And do you have some favourite artists? I do not have some useful things to say about books, because the only interesting things I've ever read are Sartre and Camus... but it does not seem you are reading that kind of books. Well, it doesn't matter. Oh, and, Dragonair really is cute. Bye for now!
  9. Hehe, I thought there was only a slight chance you may knew that kind of Energy Drink. ^^ Besides that, I wonder what kind of rock artists you listen to, then? The rock scene also spans about roughly 50 years and has a lot of subgenres, so if you can be more specific... We (or I) have a better indication about that too! I am a sort of a 'musical omnivore' myself, what means I am at least interested in all kind of genres, but the principal part contains classical music, asian pop music and (namely gothic) metal. But yeah, it diverges much (because I also listen frequently to ambient, jazz and death metal for example) and it is a bit ridiculous to sum up all the artists in my case.
  10. Ah, thank you for your explanation, Wraith. But you always say something at the end what gets me thinking... Charge and Discharge? How about a double-battle with Togekiss and Lanturn for example: Togekiss uses Follow Me and Lanturn uses Charge the first turn. The second turn Togekiss uses Protect and Lanturn blasts off his/her magical Discharge... Unless your opponent switches for Ground Pokémon, it would maybe have some effect... Nah, I think it is wasted effort to think about good uses of Charge.
  11. Okay, what the heck. Luckily I am not planning to buy or even play B or W... But, about that Electric Pokémon, it is not that strange, because you only had Manectric, (Plusle/Minun ), Lanturn and Magneton if I am not wrong. Unless you traded some Pokémon, of course! So you had to hit Milo mostly with Heracross' Mega Horn or whatever more is a bit overpowered (actually, that is what I did).
  12. Oh, it that so? Maybe I should play more 4th gen games, because in RSE you do not have that Special Defense boost! ^^ But what the heck is Struggle Bug? I does nothing in the end? Anyway, in that case, it cannot be helped and Charge will be Charge... I think that would be the best option for now.
  13. Your not comfortable with that? Why not? And besides, now you are mentioning Milotic, that Pokémon (also) made it hard to take Wallace down easily! In RSE, both Grass and Electric were special moves, so you had to have a very strong... Leaf Blade? ^^ No, you almost were obliged to have an Electric type Pokémon with you. But I think when you have Blue with an updated team, it would be fun first, but after a time you get used to him too, just like the other champions. So in that case, you always need a new champion/Elite Four to find the battles exciting... yeah, that really was stating the obvious. ^^
  14. I do not think it is that relevant to think about the effect of the move when you already have in mind who can use it or not. You cannot use Miracle Eye in competitive play, yes, I believe you, but if they stop to come up with moves because they cannot be used in competitive play... I bet they did not even think about it. 'It is fun to hit your enemy although you cannot hit them in normal conditions', I think that was the credo. It is up to you if you use it or not. Besides, I personally thought about some Future Sight effect, when it just hits 'normal', but maybe it would be better if it is indeed a proper equivalent of Miracle Eye. When you say that attack could not be used, you do not have to bother about Charge, too. So your lovely Swampert will not fall to an electric move. Maybe you can use Charge in-game doing so, because Charge now is actually a sort of Splash.
  15. Hehe, your prophetess that would not be believed... Luckily she has not got the move 'Future Sight'. Nice to see those in-game teams, by the way! Let's see if I can put something down here... Oh yeah, I had a ice type based team a time ago in Pearl, it looked like: And my team I have right now in Heartgold: But yeah, this is clearly an example of those 'in-game struggles'. If you do not have Surf or Fly, your journey will be al long one... and for other HM's you have to switch your Pokémon again and again for a certain time. This team is, besides its ridiculous weakness for Fire and Rock attacks, not very convenient (with three Bug Pokémon) and has no access to both Fly and Surf. Ah well... This team has some difficulties, but that is half of the fun!
  16. I still can remember that Gengar of Agatha, which mostly caused some problems and was the Pokémon I was always afraid for. Blue was indeed very frustrating, but his awesome lv.65 Charizard with its pathetic Rage and Fire Spin... Even my Venusaur could beat it that way! The Elite Four and Lance in GSC was too underleveled, so it was not that 'best' either... Although Lance was pretty cool. I liked Steven in RSE, with his 'set-up' Claydol and his freaking Metagross! That was really something to be afraid for, I think. Cynthia has definitely the most epic music before you battle her, I figured that tune out a time ago, but I am still to lazy to play it on the piano. ^^ Anyway, she was at least more difficult to beat, but in Platinum she has a more funny team, having all the resists you can have - excluding abilities. So I go for Steven and Cynthia. And yeah, you can say "I can beat the whole Elite Four + Champion with my insanely wicked Mew of lv.100!", but if that's the case, almost nothing about the game is difficult. How about to create some sense of adventure?
  17. Hello Andibad, welcome here! Your English is a bit fragmented, but I still am able to read it, so do not worry about that. We also are able to understand that random 'Machine Part Rocket' guy at Cerulean, don't we? With his most genius sentence that will be something like Oh no! Should I do what now on from, me? You must be able to recognize it when you play the English version of HG/SS, but I do not think you are able to write that kind of bad sentences yourself. Anyway... I hope you enjoy it, being online here at Project Pokémon! I am always curious about the music people listen too, so maybe you are into the Taiwanese indie-rock scene? Or not. Please tell me which kind of music you like, if you wish! Team Rocket bye-bye a go-go!
  18. Hello R3l3nt1355! Welcome here and I hope you will enjoy your stay. I have already seen some posts from you during this week (is that correct?) so I assume you are enjoying your time being here! Just a random question, Relentless, do you like that Energy Drink (I thought it was a kind of Energy Drink)? Or do I suggest a connection that is a bit too far-fetched? ^^ I do not know it exactly, because you cannot buy that Energy Drink in the Netherlands... Anyway, besides that another question, what kind of music do you (frequently) listen to? Bye-bye a go-go!
  19. Yeah, when you do so, the attack would be much more relevant, but on the other hand there will always be some attacks which are absolutely worthless. Besides, in-game they develop per generation some attacks that would grant a specific type to hit other types they normally could not hit (Foresight for Fighting Pokémon to hit Ghosts, Miracle Eye for Psychic Pokémon to hit Dark Pokémon). So, if an Electric Pokémon could hit a Ground Pokémon... I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. And it will 'legitimate' some passages in the anime as well, although there are much more differences between the games and the anime left.
  20. What the heck, a shared account? So you cannot be online at the same time? It is lazy indeed, but I would not call it convenient... ^^ Anyway, welcome here! I hope you both enjoy you stay. I am always wondering what kind of music people listen, so I wonder what Fox and Dusk listen to, too! And when you answer, do not forget to put your name above it (I already told you that I would not be convenient!) Ah, whatever, have a nice day! Greetings!
  21. Since I am altering the maps too, I am facing a problem again. I replace the scripts with gibberish, but it seems that PPRE reproduces the 'original' scripts and therefore the game still freezes... Even when I click 'save changes' after editing every single script, it will revert to a normal script. How can this happen? Unlike the scripts, all other information like the Wild Encounters are correctly saved.
  22. Hmm, I used the Rudolph Patch after I used PPRE, on the written ROM to be clear. Maybe you should try that (too), T to the M?
  23. Sunny day

    Yo

Hi, Lt. Andrew Surge! Just wondering, what kind of music do you listen? I expect some lighting guitarsolo's and thundering drum fills coming from your room, but I could be that my imagination isn't really true. ^^ Anyway, also welcome on behalf of me. Salute!
  24. I put my Pokéwalker in my trouser pocket most of the time, not that I have some higher goals, but the steps are 'free' steps anyway. I also have an active job which can help me to gain some watts (not extremely active, but that's not the case ^^). On Saturdays, when I deliver the post in my town, I mostly walk about 18,000 steps. I find it pretty much for only 3-4 hours of work, although it could be more as I see above. I do not know if my Pokéwalker counts the steps double, I suppose it doesn't. But attach the Pokéwalker to your sock or boot? Isn't that uncomfortable to wear?
  25. A classics person? Do you mean the Korean classical music, or the western classical music (or did you mean none of them)? The fact is, you have a big Brahms fan here, too! ^^
