  1. It is a pretty good drawing, Shut_Ur_Meowth! (hopeless, those usernames with a 'hidden message' in it. ) If I have to make up something you can improve in, it would be the way how you worked with color pencil. Firstly, I would recommend you to colour things in circular motion, instead of 'scratching' horizontal, diagonal and vertical. I can see exactly how you coloured along your black lines (at the bottom of its bulb, for a clear example). It is a pity when you can see it that clearly! Circular motions create less 'scratched' results, although you still must not bring to much pressure on your pencil - otherwise you will see circles instead of stripes! I am aware of the fact that the pencil scratches are much more visible on a scan, so you won't see those things that clear on your original, I think. Secondly, I see you are working with some highlights (of sunlight, probably), which is well done! But I have the feeling you forget about it when you coloured the darker spots of Bulbasaur. The two forelegs both have a spot on it on which you drew a highlight, while the whole part of that leg is highlighted in the softer colour. That could not be right, could it? I think you have to make the whole spot less dark in such cases. That are the practical tips I want you to give, because I think you can make your drawings much more beautiful by improve those little things of colouring! It is really simple to do the next time you make a drawing. I hope it will help you!
  2. I do not want to spoil your example, mais on écrit le mot comme "très". So your élève is good on its own. But, arcee and Gin, try to say 'èèèèh' and move to 'ie' (like, 'eek' (or 익, isn't it Wraith?)) and just concentrate on the sound back in your mouth when you slightly move your tongue upwards to pronounce that 'eek'. In the middle between those sounds you will find é as in evandixon's French examples. I do not know if that works for you, but it works for me, although I know it is there. ^^ As you probably would expect after reading my other message here, I pronounce Poké Ball like [po-ké-bɑl]. It is very difficult to write down this way, sadly enough! But yeah, I pronounce everything very accentuated...
  3. Hmm, that Pikachu preview looked pretty impressive! But I think you will have a hard time to put up something like that every week... There have to be a lot of people able to work at it (or you must have someone with a constant amount of spare time). If you only have a select group of people working at it, you will probably have trouble after some weeks. Especially when you want to give another touch to such project (like the dialogue between Lt. Surge and Ash, for example). It is really worth it, but more time-consuming. :\ And it already is a sort of bad omen that the project is inactive when the initiator is inactive. But there always is another side of the coin, a project like this has its positive results as well, as some people make clear in the earlier posts in this thread! I was wondering, how many people do you think you will need for this? Sadly enough I do not think I am able to contribute in a(ny) way with this project, because I am not knowledgeable in relevant subjects you need to cover here. In normal situations I always could check spelling, but in English that won't be an option, too.

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Hey Wraith, you cannot help it you are busy! Maybe I am only to 'non-busy' this month!</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Well, it used to be fine here, although I am somewhat bored, but today I woke up with some kind of allergic reaction. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wacko.png" alt=":S" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wacko@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Pretty weird, maybe I am finally allergic to Pokémon after twelve years... ^^ Anyway, I will notice it when you are not so busy anymore, I think. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink.png" alt=";)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/wink@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

    <p><p><p><p><p><p>Oh by the way, what is haltŭ ŭi wang? (or something like that <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh.png" alt="xD" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />)</p></p></p></p></p></p>

  5. Yes, you should! And arcee should know them, too (at least, the first two). Well, about those preferences... You can 'observe' your musical preferences by looking at the songs you like, in this case. Do they span wide across different genres, or are they maybe clustered around one striking genre? Besides that, you always hear songs you do not like, or something you won't find interesting... or boring. Anyway, not that I want to 'force' you to look at music like this, but that is what I am doing. And that is why I questioned it. Anyway, it is a Pokémon forum, so don't mind me and have fun here!
  6. I got a new team at my HeartGold game which is more capable of 'in-game playing' than the last one I posted in this thread (before Wraith's post)! I traded a Tropius to my game because I really miss the nice Hoenn Pokémon, if anyone starts wondering about that. In this (incomplete) team I have incorporated the 'primary' HMs Surf and Fly. My 'abandoned' Bayleef knows Cut (and Rock Smash, but that is not really necessary), which is a perfect addition to pick those Apricorns for Kurt! You have to take that kind of things into account if you like those features in the game, I think. Are you ready to open the spoiler? Let's Berry Blender! It seems as if I have a impressive weakness to Ice! But that is not really a problem, since I could stand up against Pryce --The Winter Trainer-- and I even defeated him today! I think Clair is the real problem, but Kingdra is not the most easy Pokémon to take down... in almost every case! I am pretty proud of my 'sorceress' Furret (anyone into Händel opera's?) with the sub-punch set. I was looking for some coverage moves when it came to mind I could buy Substitute at the Game Corner and get Focus Punch from Chuck. I had much time to be spent in the Game Corner anyway, because I had to buy both Thunderbolt and Ice beam, and off course my lovely Dratini! Let's go back in time now... To beat Falkner, I had caught a fabulous adamant Mareep... I did not really matter it was of adamant nature, because at lv. 15 you will have a Flaaffy with 80 base stat special attack! That is enough to hurt things even though the stat is a bit lowered. She was called Morgana (the shepherdess in the same opera Alcina, because I already had my subject coming laong with me, Sentret)). After that, I used Morgana as my Rock Smasher and I caught a Wooper. Quagsire is named Miyako because I caught that Wooper at night, by the way. ^^ Finally, Tropius is called Angelica because Angelica seems to be the sister of Alcina (and she appears in another opera of Händel, named Orlando). And wait, more finally... Dragonair is called Nara because I like Jang Na Ra. I think that are the connections by name! Anyway, I am searching for my last party member! Sudowoodo was not really a good option and after I trained my Magmar a bit, I thought it was not really at its place in my team. Fire is a good type to have (along with electric and water), but I missed Rock/Steel attacks, too... Although it is more fun to have not a perfect coverage, but one with (a lot of) dangers. Okay, that was it then. (much longer than Brent usually talks, but never mind!) By the way, does anyone here have some unusual (or other) ways to make in-game teams, rather than pick strong Pokémon or Pokémon with the best coverage moves?
  7. Imagine me pronouncing Xatu as "Ksaa-tuu" (or [ksa-tyː] in IPA) Because I know Pokémon since I was seven or something, I could not pronounce most names in a proper English way. So, a lot of Pokémonnames are infected with really weird sounds and wrong stressed syllables. Although, in the most cases I know how to pronounce the names properly, but it feels a bit strange to do, strangely enough. I thought about it for a while, and I noticed (with my pronunciation 'rules') that the first syllable is stressed in most cases. Like, [miː-lo-tɪk], where 'mi' sounds like 'me' for English speaking people. And because I saw Tbird struggling with Ariados; this how you absolutely not have to pronounce the name: [a-riː-ja-dɔs]. About Arceus, I think you have to pronounce it in the English way (since it is the English name, right?). Greek-looking or not, I think it was not intended to sound like that 'because it is fun the name is reminiscent of Greek' (or what the masterminds of Nintendo might have thought about that). I have used [ɑr-søs] all the time, which is even worse actually, but if I have to pronounce it properly, I will not be inclined to use a random Greek pronunciation of 'ce'. I mean, even all mythological (Roman) names are Anglicized, and no English speaking person says 'Eurudikē' in dialy conversations, for example. On the other hand, you are never able to let countless speakers of different languages pronounce Pokémon names in the same way... Especially not when names are not 'translated' in the concerning languages. And yeah, that's why this thread has three pages about 'how to pronounce' stories.

<p><p><p><p><p><p>안녕 Wraith, would you maybe be present on msn these days (or in the near future)? I supposed you where on holiday earlier, but after a while I saw some posts here at PP! Well, I have not spoken you for such a long time. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad.png" alt=":(" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> I wonder how things are going!</p></p></p></p></p></p>

    <p><p><p><p><p><p>Salutations sincères! <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /></p></p></p></p></p></p>

  9. Hello AEROJAY! (Hmm, those capitals look very weird in this case...) What is it with those late introductions? Ah, whatever, welcome to Project Pokémon again! I hope you are good at planning activities, and be as active as you expected from yourself! I hope you know more about anything than you did back then, otherwise... you have to be careful what you post! Just joking, read those rules would be enough I think! Despite the late introduction, I do not know much about you, so I would like to know what kind of music you prefer when taking a seat on your sofa? Maybe you will answer it, I believe that the past seven members have not answered my question yet... You could be the first who gives a sign of activity! [end of advertisement.] Well, enjoy your fresh start and I hope to see you again!
  10. Hi Rinax, welcome to Project Pokémon! Although you already know Project Pokémon by lurking around here and there, a welcome would not be misplaced! I would highly recommend you to use your account where it is meant for; participate in discussions and the such! I think you will have found interesting boards or threads by now, so what is keeping you from posting? By the way, I have a question for you! I saw 'Canada' somewhere under the word 'location', so I immediately thought about artists like Front Line Assembly, Devin Townsend, Unexpect, Ion Dissonance, because it seems they are coming from your country. I was wondering what kind of music your prefer and if you eventually know one (or more) of these artists? It is an attempt of knowing at least one thing about a 'new' member like you. So please, tell me all about it! Well, enjoy your stay and I hope to see you again!
  11. Welcome to Project Pokémon, equilibrium628! I hope you stay around and have a good time browsing the forum! There are certainly people involved in competitive battling I believe, so I think they can help you to get in Gen 5 battling, among other things of course. But tell me, what is "6.28" exactly? I do not know what the connection is between that and equilibrium... So, if you don't mind, can you tell me what that 'tao' thing is, to be more specific? I am really curious about that. ^^ Well then, have fun here and enjoy your stay. See you around!
  12. Welcome to Project Pokémon, Trainer Hilda! I hope you are feeling yourself on the right place between all Pokémon fans. What wraith89 states above me goes for me too; I know Pokémon from the Red game, so that are a few years back in time! Others I know who are familiar with all Pokémon games like the old games (mostly) for nostalgic reasons, while they also like the new additions, better graphics or storylines of later games. Do you maybe have a favourite game, one game that is more special to you? Or do you have the same feeling about those games as I wrote down in my previous sentence? And since I am already in my question mode, just another little thing I would like to know from you! What kind of music do you listen to? Do you prefer a specific kind of music, and do you maybe have some favourite artists? Pretty a random switch in my reply, but it is my standard question, intended as a question to know a little bit more from new members like you. Hopefully you will answer it for me. According to James Taylor you will always got a friend, but I hope you will get your expected ton in the near future! Anyway, feel free to leave some replies and I hope to see you again!
  13. Hi Waterheart! Since you are new, you may explain that sentence I quoted to me (and don't be too serious)! I think I am out of grant welcomings today, so there is not much else I can say after reading your single line of text... Oh wait, I forgot to say 'welcome'! Welcome at PP, feel free to look around (actually you are doing that already, according to the title of this thread). And to start of with a question: Do you have any musical preferences or favourite artists? If you can answer that, I am happy. Enjoy your stay, good luck with further sightseeing and I hope to see you again!
  14. That gets me wondering... what prevented you from becoming a member of PP all those years, then? Anyway, welcome here, ILOVEPIE. Since your familiar to this forum, I don't really have to write a whole Prof. Birch story for you! But wait... maybe your absence has something to do with that! You observed those 'member' creatures without being a member yourself for years, that is very clever...! I could have done that, too, before becoming a real member. Just kidding. ^^ Can you put your taste of music in a code for me, with -when present- favourite artists? Maybe you noticed I want to know that from every new member? You are not an exception in this case! Hopefully you are not listening to those works of serial music composers, that would be too predictable for a programmer like you. I wish you luck with your GTS project and meanwhile... enjoy your stay!
  15. Professor Birch is such a genius, don't you think? I think my reply made clear he has a good sense of humour! Since I have said I have been undertaking research to unravel member mysteries, it would be a good idea to unravel at least one mystery about you. It generally happens that members listen to music, according to my studies about 'Members, recreation and their natural habitat' (Oxford University Press 2011). To question something that would not be too private (members usually have the tendency to be very reserved) I will always ask about the preferred music! So, tell me... Which kind of music do you prefer, Flareon? And do you maybe have some favourite artists? Please try to be a bit detailed, that would be more interesting, I think. If you like to answer it, go ahead! And remember: When you are making a campfire, make sure you have water handy! Haha, enough of that nonsense. Enjoy your stay at PP, I hope you will like it, and bye-bye!
  16. Hi! Sorry to keep you waiting! Welcome to the world of Project Pokémon! My name is Sunny day. But I'll call myself 'the one who gives hearty welcomes' (because I don't think 'everyone' has made up a name for me collectively; in fact I am as unknown as you are, but this interrupts my welcome speach a little bit, so I will continue if you don't mind. ^^) This is what we call a forum. This forum is widely inhabited by creatures known as 'members'. We members live alongside other members, at times as friendly contacts, and at times as cooperative workmates. And sometimes, we band together and battle others like us (although, mostly virtual, here). But despite our closeness, we don't know everything about (new) members. In fact, there are many, many secrets surrounding new members. To unravel member mysteries, I've been undertaking research, that is what I do. And you are...? What? Are you saying I can read it on the left of your post? Where did I left my glasses... Oh, so it's Flareon? Ah, okay! I get it now! All right, are you ready? Your very own adventure is about to unfold. Take courage, and leap into the world of Project Pokémon where dreams, adventure and friendships await! Well, I'll be expecting you later! Hmm, the last four sentences sound a bit too cheesy! Anyway, I wish you luck on your journ-Ehm, I wish you fun here, Flareon!
  17. Where is the reference to your favourite energy drink? Or did you choose randomly from the countless English words and somehow put 'Blue' and 'Bastard' together? Just joking, welcome to Project Pokémon, Wesley! (I almost typed 'Project Project', luckily I could find my backspace button... and my fingers to type a whole sentence about my mistake). Anyway, please do not be afraid of those random nonsense coming from me, because I have a really serious question for you! I would like to know about the musical preferences of all (or, the most) new members here! So, which kind of music do you prefer? And do you have some favourite artists? That will be enough questions for me, hopefully you can answer them with any detail, it would be much appreciated! And by the way, your English is fine. The more you get used to it, the better you will become (although, that is my personal credo I came up with just now... and it is designed to give some hope to my own English too!) What should I do now on from, me? Feel free to post anywhere here, and I hope to see you again!
  18. Hello Henri! I am an enthusiast-enthusiast (at specific moments), so I think I will bless you with a reply to your introduction thread and give you a well-deserved warm welcome! So... I'm pleased to welcome you to Project Pokémon! I hope you will be indeed a frequent visitor of this forum and have a good time searching for interesting threads. Once I thought this place was useful, too, and I think it still is! I am wondering about something I am always wondering about, and that is the preferred music of the author of the introduction thread where I leave my reply. In other words, what kind of music makes our game freak from a small country in Europe enthusiastic? And to make the question more challenging (I have to imply my question is really really well-thought, deep and difficult to answer, in the hope you would reply more detailed to it... That is how it works, does it?), do you have some favourite artists? Sorry for the side-question in my question, but that is the improved difficulty! Okay, normally I would put a random Pokémon quote somewhere in here... but I do not know a good one this time... "It's like my line's doing a dance! The tangle-tango, haha! Snarl!" Are you Pokémon Freak enough to know where this quote comes from? For now, I leave you alone. I hope to see you again and have a nice holiday!
  19. First of all; welcome here, Bloodspectre! I also am a bit new to this forum, so I can confirm there is indeed much to see... I still have not read the most active topics, but you have to take your time for that, I suppose! I looked at the replies in this thread and I concluded that you mentioned 'the end of the semester and college finals' in both replies. Oh wait, I quoted that sentence, let's see: Tadaa! Completely useless, but at least it looks like I am very attentive (and hopefully I will ask something intellectual). That would be a disappointment, so I will continue my story with a simple question. I am wondering what you are doing, so if I may ask; what do you study? Before I forget, it is my duty to ask which kind of music you (frequently) listen to and what your favourite artists are, if you have any! Until now, only one member failed to answer that question, so I still think it would be a good start -although it is not actually a start anymore, but most of the time I am the first one who leaves a reply in those introduction threads- to introduce yourself a little bit. The preceding sentence seems a bit confusing actually, but I hope it is not a real problem. I wish you luck on your journey (through PP, and with your last semester! ^^) And may our paths cross again!
  20. Bonsoir, Ventus1223, je voudrais souhaiter la bienvenue à toi! (if that would be correct French...) Welcome to PP, I hope you will post some replies anywhere here in the future! But where does that sort of narrow-minded view about those Pokémon games come from? (assuming you intentionally emphasized that 'only' to create a distance between B&W and the other games). I really like to know what your intentions were when writing that kind of information exclusively, aside from mentioning that you have nothing to write about! In that case, I will stimulate you to write something about the music you (frequently) listen to, or about your favourite artists, if you have any? And do not worry about your English. Well then... PopEye wrote some useful things before me, so it won't be relevant to write that again. I think that is all for today! Au revoir!
  21. Hello PopEyeJR, welcome here! Because you seem to be quite active last week, I think it is not that necessary to wish you an enjoyable stay... because you already enjoying your stay, don't you? I hope you can learn a lot from those formulas or other random things you can find here between the countless threads. I used to like maths, but I am terrible at most of its aspects. I believe, the only thing I can get are those exp. points curves. ^^ I never got interested in other formulas of the game, actually. Beside of maths, of course I have my favourite question to ask! I would like to know which kind of music you (frequently) listen to and/or what your favourite artists are. I hope you can tell me that, as a sort of short introduction in something that must keep you busy every day. Well, post ahead in the meantime and have fun here!
  22. I do not know if it is correct what I am saying, but I believe you have to create those folders again and again. So, when you edit 'heartgold.nds' first, you write it as 'heartgold01.nds' or something like that. The next day, you start editing 'heartgold01.nds' and write it as 'heartgold02.nds' when you are done. The folder of the game you are editing is a temporary one, I thought. All in all, you have to write the ROM and throw the temporary folder in your trash bin.
  23. You should try the HGSS walkthrough of Psypokes; it's filled with images, information about wild Pokémon encounters and of course, the major events of the game. I hope it is what you are looking for.
  24. I think it has nothing do to with piano's, actually. A better example, for those who prefer to see/hear piano music played with 5-fingered hands (or would I say, played by a human?), is this one: Totentanz - Franz Liszt This one is in fact a 'variations on a theme'-like composition of Franz Liszt, played by my favourite pianist Valentina Lisitsa. Although you will not see a messed up sheet (I you have any), it is an amazing difficult piece to play, but it is a lovely piece to listen to! There is an orchestral version of it too, but it isn't as great as the piano solo one. Enjoy it, just like me!
  25. Tears for Fears sounds pretty relax, for what I've heard a couple of minutes ago. ^^ I like some of those older pop artists too, but I knew nothing about Tears for Fears, actually! Answers from new members like you could be pretty interesting... And since you seem to be into ambient and electronic music, do you know about those Bill Leeb / Rhys Fulber projects? Especially (old) Delerium and Synæsthesia are my favourite ambient projects of them. If you do not know these projects, you have to check them out! Some records contain simply amazing good ambient music.
