  1. SCV just merged most of the branches like half an hour ago so it should be there, might want to get synched up if you haven't already
  2. Thanks! I'll add these in if no one has already or if someone is... thanks! I'm about to get back to work on it, i got sidetracked fixing 6 cause of a fubar that it had when talking to a mart person.
  3. veo que estan haciendo un buen trabajo aqui, keep up the good work! P.S Tenia algo mal el 0006.txt ya la arregle en la version en ingles, por fa hagan lo mismo
  4. Hey guys just dropping in for an update for those of you who are lurking and not checking the first post. I'm going to call it a night here soon cause I got an early class tomorrow but I should be back to it again afterwards, I have 3 other people helping me out with file 16 right now. njt is translating it, mattmagician and Karire are proof reading and localizing and finally I'm doing a second pass over their work as I format it back into the file. You can check our progress on it at the git which I just updated at the following address: http://github.com/projectpokemon/Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files/blob/master/0000/0016.txt as you can see there is progress but we still got a lot to go! This is the file I want to get done before a v1 release is ready (since all of it is battle text) but if Kazo feels like it's enough for a v1 I'll let him do a v1 release. Anyways thanks for hanging/lurking around! P.S. I'm liking the graphics some of you may want to contact Poryhack our resident graphics person for more info on how to edit those files.
  5. Nice job with updating stuff atoxic, I'm having some issues with git so I haven't been able to push anything. Anyways SCV will take care of the merging as soon as he gets back.
  6. Thanks for the contribution! Not sure how soon we can get a v1 out right now I'm working with what njt did earlier on 16.txt but it's 1k+ lines of: \xf000Ă\x0001\x0000 fainted! The wild \xf000Ă\x0001\x0000 fainted! The foe's \xf000Ă\x0001\x0000 fainted! \xf000Ă\x0001\x0000 \xffferegained health! and the sort, so keeping the format and localizing is taking quite some time not to mention it goes on into 17.txt i believe. Sorry for the delays but we're trying to get a v1 out asap, just hang with us for now. thanks!
  7. you sure that's 23.txt? from what I see 23.txt involves the C Gear can you please double check? thanks!
  8. Yeah I think that's what most people are using to get an idea of what is what and going from there. Also if people could start using the spoiler tags when they post something it'd be appreciated as to make things easier to read. I'll commit all the changes at some point tomorrow to get everyone up to date for now I'm going to sleep it's 4AM here.. keep up the great work and remember to check the first post for anything new, the battle related text is what we seem to need the most now for a v1 release so hopefully we'll have that ready by tomorrow night.
  9. I'll edit the first post and your translations shortly, from now on when someone finishes something please PM and let me know as well that way I don't miss it like I just did ><
  10. Yeah already this one it's the Isshu Dex/Nat Dex sort of info I believe Kazo said he did them but the attack descriptions aren't done, please check the first post to see what is needed for the most part for a v1 release thanks!
  11. Thanks for the contribution I'll add it in! Just make sure to check with the first post as to not do something twice. Thanks! You'll only find previous Gen info there but nothing on the new ones but it does make the work easier
  12. the \xfffe are line breaks and the other ones are variables
  13. yeah that's correct, for now we're just putting the english ones where the hiragana would be since most people like to press A through intros and that'd be the default but yes in theory a bilingual translation should be possible.
  14. most of the files have a hiragana part on top and kanji at the bottom. what you see depends on what you chose at the beginning of the game right now we're using the first one to translate and leaving kanji alone. We'll make another file that shows who is working on what to make things more organized.
  15. Thanks for the contributions njt! Adding them in now
  16. Kazo has been taking care of the attacks/abilities/items/pokemon names and I've been tackling the menus. We'll merge what we have so far and do a quality check later today. Kazo went to sleep and I will as well in a couple of minutes but for the most part the basics for battling have been taken care of and we'll hopefully release something later today. Thanks for the support/suggestions!
  17. randomspot555 edit: I've gotten a lot of reports that concern people who haven't read the rules. Do not ASK about downloading ROMS, do not SAY you downloaded a ROM, do not give advice on how to locate ROMs. Welcome! Now that I have your attention yes, we (Kazo and I) are now working on a translation patch for Pokemon Black and White! At the moment we are putting priority on anything that involves the battling part of the game (Pokemon Battles) and we will release it once we feel satisfied with it. This was more of a informative post than anything but look forward to it! For now I leave you with some screenshots. Feel free to leave any suggestions and comments, later! Contributing to this Project For this project we have decided to set up a git repository to make contributions easier. The link to the repository is here: http://github.com/projectpokemon/Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files. The procedure is the following. If you want to contribute, fork the project on github, translate the text in a file, then commit your changes, all commits will be revised and the ones deemed adequate will be pulled into the master branch of the project and used in the patch. To install git on windows you can follow the instructions here: http://kylecordes.com/2008/git-windows-go orhttps://git.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/MSysGit:InstallMSysGit a recommended git gui tool is git-cola but feel free to use it through command line or any other gui tool. Help for github can be found at http://help.github.com/ or you may ask in our our #projectpokemon irc channel. Translating to languages other than English: If you are interested in translating to another language please fork the original project and name yours something like Pokemon Black White [Language] Translation we will clone those and generate patches, when you tell us that there is enough progress for a patch to be generated. Update: Translation Text List Stats: The following files have been finished or at least edited so far: 0-15,18,21,25,30,35,44,53,54,60,61,64,70,80,90,179,181,182,199,204,271,272 <== I've lost track of these for now but i'll get back to checking what's done asap Feel free to submit other translations as well, especially looking for the following: 12-13[PC Box Stuff], 16-18[battle Status effects(?)] Leave a reply with what you want to do or have done or just send a PM! Those are the ones I can think of right away that'll help us get close to a v1 release thanks for all the contributions and suggestions! Who is working on what Right Now: This is a list to show who is working on what in order to avoid two people working on the same thing. If you want to reserve any of them let me know and I'll update this asap. njt/karire/mattmagician/kaarosu: 16 ~around 35% done (To see the progress of this file feel free to look it up in the git... http://github.com/projectpokemon/Pokemon-Black-White-Translation-Files/blob/master/0000/0016.txt ) as you can see this one is fun! kazo: 17 Credits: Translation contributions in no particular order: Kazo Kaarosu njt Fishyfish mattmagician Guested Alikhan Glitch Curisu Rhea Atoxic jintrigger Rykin122 Windslayer deishido Danniello Nigoli Karire SailorSpork xxcoldh3artxx shubshub ryanz1 ReignOfComputer lomejor18 SuzieJoeBob jjangu Spenstar Shadow_Steve Chase-san ...and growing I'll update this as we go let me know if I missed you Non-Translation contributions: Codr: insight as to the structure of the characters Eevee: first decrypting text Kazo: idea for encryption SCV: program for inserting text to the narc files Poryhack: menu graphics Kosheh: status icon graphics Kaphotics: save catalogue Beta Patch: Alright I've pulled everything we have in the git so far and compiled a patch out of it. Anyways It's nowhere near being done obviously, but it's getting to the point where we can't verify all the changes we've made for accuracy so I'm putting this out in hopes that *IF* you do use it you can provide us with some feedback as to what needs to be fixed, I ask that you look at the attack descriptions for the most part I know that needs to get the linebreaks fixed. Try not to flood the thread with it though. Troubleshooting! Game IDs for you cheaters I've had people message me about what the Game IDs are to use with their cheats for those of you that don't know how to find out these are the Game IDs for the Beta v2 games Black: IRBJ-44483E75 White: IRAJ-B8FA503D Save Issues Desmume To use your old saves with this translations in this emulator try the following: [*]Make sure the .save file name is the same as the .nds [*]If it's still in Japanese, in-game go to Options and change 'Button Mode(5th option down)' DSTT Error - 4: From what I've read up in the forum (specifically ddc1's post) the problem involves the 'True Game ID' being different which is why your game won't load. Do the following to fix it: Download the following package Here Use ttd.exe to open up the following files in your flashcard 'extinfo.dat' and 'infolib.dat' (Always make a backup in case something goes wrong for whatever reason) Search for the Clean B/W Game IDs (Black: IRBJ-5F0EA646 / White: IRAJ-0203EC40 ) <== Make a note of these cause you'll need to come back to these Move your game to the same folder and run eNDryptS Advanced(Run as administrator if you have issues) when the menu comes up press '1' it should do some work and say ' Decrypted --> Encrypted (X)' and at the Bottom it should say something along the lines of sucessfully patched. Press any button to take you back to the main menu and hit '1' again this time it should say the reverse 'Encrypted --> Decrypted' Go back to ttd.exe and replace the Game IDs you found earlier with these Replace them with the following ( Black: IRBJ-7902E2EE / White: IRAJ-6F795E87 ) <== These will change with every patch but i'll keep these updated every patch right now these are for Beta v2 Save and move game back to your flashcard and play! P.S. If my direction don't make sense try the original post and his package: ddc1's guide Patch Instructions: Obtain a clean ROM (Dump it yourself or find it elsewhere don't ask us for it) Obtain a copy of xDelta GUI(You should have this by now) Open xDelta Gui Click "Select Patch" and choose 'Black.patch' or 'white.patch' depending on what you downloaded Now choose 'Select ROM' and navigate to the clean ROM Now click on "Apply Patch" wait until it's done Try it out and give some feedback? Update: Updated the patches to fix the evolution problem, only upped the new .patch files this time around since you SHOULD have xDelta Gui by now. P.S. Before you ask, yes this has the Exp Patch applied to it as well and where is the link?... it's in the attachment. If that doesn't work for you try the mirror at http://kazowar.pbworks.com/ Reported Issues from Feedback: Attack/Items names still in romaji => need to be in english Male rival referred to as she in intro Attack Descriptions line breaks (what moves go offscreen is what i meant by this) Possible freezing at bridge? and Union room Empty Bag Text going offscreen as well Move effects mistranslations ex. love/flinching give wrong messages (I hate 16.txt with a passion) Cheren needs to become Chelon...since he's a dude and all P.S. Please use http://kazowar.pbworks.com/Submit-Errors and http://kazowar.pbworks.com/Submit-Typos to better keep track of these thanks! As a general advice/warning? to everyone please try to keep the talk of ROMs down, especially the part of how to obtain them and what not.
  18. yeah you should be able to comfortably play like 5 games with no problem with the current card you have
  19. a 1GB microSD should be able to hold 5-8 games depending on their size so you should be fine if you don't play many games on the DS and if you do I'd say invest in either a 4GB one or 8GB
  20. Not too familiar with Pokegen's Editor but I'm sure the hapiness editor is in there somewhere as for natures I'm sure you can change them as well but make sure to chose valid IVs if you do or else your pokemon will become 'hacked' in legality checkers that is if you care enough if not you can just leave it as it is
  21. It says Invalid cause PPSEDS has support for HG/SS and no one has updated PPSE since Platinum so you won't be able to use it sorry =\
  22. Nice! I haven't used Nitro in a while but that's good to know. haha now all that's left is trial and error... anyways good luck!
  23. I will say the easiest way would be to extract the whole NDS file and then replace the existing A/0/8 with the ones you edited and repacked then go back to kiwi then go to tools > make nds rom and point at the folder you just unpacked (ex Pokemon HeartGold) the rest of the window should be populated automatically if you selected the right folder and then it will compile a new .nds file with changes you've made all that would be left is for you to test it and see how you like it
  24. yeah I like to unpack the whole .narc then edit what i need and repack the whole .narc again that way the program will repack all the needed files it started out with instead of only the edited ones
  25. Kiwi is an awesome Editor I'm thinking you didn't go through the whole process. What you should've done is something along the lines of: 1) Open NDS file in editor.exe which should add it to the window inside of the editor 2) Double click the NDS inside of editor.exe to browse through it and put a check next to anything you want to extract (In this case /a/0/8/1) 3) Find the file you just extracted from /a/0/8/1 and drag and drop it into editor.exe you'll now see it under the NDS file from earlier (Filename: 1 / Type: Nintendo Archive) 4) Double click the new file(1) and just like with the NDS file you'll see all the files inside of /a/0/8/1 check all the ones you want to extract and go from there
