    He's hoping that the games aren't smart enough to realize that the Gen 5 Pokémon have invalid IDs for their game. This would result in revealing new moves not available in Gen 5, including some that might not have been announced.

    Look up codemonkey85's code library. The VB stuff only supports 4th gen and *.pkm files.

    What size save is it giving you? Should be 512KB. Also try checking the pins of the cartridge on Pearl. Should be the similar quality to BW, but if there's any obvious scratches or dirt, there's your problem.

    Thanks! I'll use them as I continue to try to read the held items. As for your Mario Kart issue, that shouldn't be the problem. What are you using to rip the saves? Please respond by posting another thread or by PM. [update] Viewing held items now supported (not published yet), but only the item names, not item counts or box contents.

    I don't know, but there's probably 30 frames per second in this game. No more than 60. Possibly slightly less than 30. Unless Kaphotics or someone saves the day with a specific answer, pick a number and see if that's long enough for you.

    The 6th gen is coming in October. Should hackers figure out how to hack 3DS saves, you could work on that! In the mean time, I guess familiarize yourself with the way the 5th gen works. Try the wiki, which is mainly used for technical stuff now.

    You can use Pokegen to make a code that gives you the items you want, overwriting the ones that are already there.

    It sounds like it waits for the specified number of frames to pass. (Frames being each individual picture that compose video.)
