off the bat the absol is wrong because they should all be "common gba event(restricted)". i haven't used pokesav in a while, but i know pokegen can handle this no problem. also, the ot is 10 aniv, but i think it should be 10 anniv. for the manaphy, it has a pid of 1 to start because it's generated dynamically before/when the manaphy is given out. where did you get that? did you pull it out of a pgt/pcd file? anyway, the pid and ivs aren't supposed to correspond, i don't think, so you should be ok there. the pichu should be the same way- no correspondence between pid/ivs, so you're good there. that said, though, i can't tell you for sure that the pid you're using is one that should appear on a wondercard poke. i know that when rng-abusing wondercards, the frame used is method1+2 frames(or just "wondercard ivs" in rng reporter, but it's the same thing) so i guess most any method 1 pid should work. the riolu is also a wondercard, so i can only assume it works the same way regarding the pid/ivs. if you can find someone else to get a second opinion, definitely do it. e: i didn't notice manaphy was shiny the first time i looked. mystery gift stuff can't be shiny unless they're set shiny. e2: and i'm glad i imported them into my game, because i wouldn't have noticed the shiny absol. i don't think 10 anniv stuff can be shiny, but i'm really not positive about that.

HG/SS: GTS Help
Bond697 replied to Riolu Aura Sphere Now's topic in Systems, Flashcards, and Emulation
It sounds like your DS' DNS settings aren't refreshing properly. I've never heard of that happening before, though. What should happen is that once you choose "auto-obtain" and save, it should reach out to your DHCP server and grab its info- that is IP, DNS, gateway, subnet, etc. Somehow the middle step there is missing, so you're connecting with your previous settings. If you have a bad signal I could see that happening if the DS can't communicate with the router/DHCP server. I'd wager that if you plug in all the info statically it won't happen again and then you could just change your DNS settings when you want to download from others. -
you have the cart plugged into it and it plugged into a powered up ds, right? 64-bit os?

no way, you got it somewhere else. pingouin is right. kaspersky is actually pretty decent so odds are you really do have something, but it definitely didn't start at pokesav/pp.org.

I did mean the spaces after the name, they're marked as "trash bytes" in pokesav itself. also, i don't think that legal cross-references the poke with whether it can possibly be from a 3rd gen game or not- like, whether it's between 1 and 386. it might not be a bad thing to add in, though- a check against the national dex number to make sure it's 386 or below for 3rd gen stuff. i just tried it with some method 1 pokes that didn't exist in gen 3, and they passed as emerald pokes. i think it's more that it's a valid method 1 poke, good checksum, etc. which means that it could exist in emerald(right? emerald generates method 1 pokes, i think)

they're constant in hgss, and i've only ever seen one set in plat too. in hgss i've bred thousands of eggs and all that i have checked have the same set of trash bytes, including the togepi from mr. pokemon on multiple games. after the last letter of the name is the standard \ffff, then(if the name is 5 letters) it goes: \1960\0211\0002\0000\4008, if the name is 6 letters, it goes \0211\0002\0000\4008 and so on until you hit 10 characters. this sequence has stayed exactly the same across my gold cart, a friend's silver cart, gold and silver on a flash cart, gold and silver in desmume, etc. and includes both the togepi egg like i mentioned before and the manaphy egg from ranger. i mean, it's not like it's a big deal. i stick to breeding anyway, so it's not like i would need it. i just thought it might be neat.

i was just thinking, would you ever consider making pokegen auto-fill in the right trash bytes in the name for hatched pokes in d/p, pt, and hg/ss? like, if the poke is set as hatched, the right number of bytes could be auto-filled after the name with the right values?

a. you shouldn't be using pokesav to do that. b. yes, .40c does have them- i just looked. c. i opened it in pokegen first, and it must auto-correct to today's date instead of leaving 0/0/2000. that's why i thought it was hatched before it was received. this is a good thing and another reason not to use pokesav. 0/0/2000 can't exist, so it seems kind of dumb to have those boxes default to that and not 1/1/2000, which doesn't crash legal.exe and is at least a legitimate date.
-
where are you downloading pokesav from and what antivirus are you running? the copy hosted here definitely doesn't have any malware with it.
-
you can choose between 136-byte and 236-byte encrypted or normal pkm files in pokegen- or even save as a wondercard/mystery gift file. use that "save file as" dropdown box when you choose "save pokemon from tabs" to choose between them. if for some reason that choice isn't there, you may need tp upgrade pokegen. i just checked, i know it's there.
-
where are you getting the save file from? flash cart/emu/off the cart with the nds+, etc.
-
post the pkm. and you should be using pokegen, it's just plain better than pokesav for pokemon editing.
-
it is crashing legal, but what do you mean by "fake date"? i see you have it set as hatching before it was even received, so i guess you mean that?. the thing is, i just experimented with this and i made a cubone and forretress pre-evo(can't recall the name) hatch 2 months before they were received, and legal didn't crash. if you made them with pokesav, maybe that's the problem? also, you need to get rid of the trash bytes around the trainer name and fix the ones around the poke's name. those aren't the right ones for a poke hatched in plat, i don't think. e: nope, i just set the same 2 with bad dates in pokesav, and it still didn't crash. must be something else with that pkm. it's weird, opening in pokesav and re-saving leaves the pkm broken, but opening and re-saving in pokegen seems to fix the pkm.
-
you could open it in pokegen and resave it, too.
-
127.0.0.1 is your computer, it's the loopback address for ipv4. for example, if you were hosting a website on your pc and you opened up a browser and typed in 127.0.0.1 or "localhost", the browser would load your website. e: what i'm saying is that you should go to a command prompt, type in "ipconfig"(no quotes) and use the ip you're given there.
-
there's likely nothing wrong with them. legal hasn't been updated in a while. the new events would need to be implemented. i rng-abused 5 of those, excluding the smr2010 jirachi, and all of mine that i picked up from the green guy come up as hacked even though i got them myself and i know they're good. you're welcome to them if you like.

if you're dead set on keeping the tyranitar female and serious, you need to change the speed iv to 10, or the special def to 23, or special atk to 23, or just use pokegen and find a spread you like yourself.
-
Thanks, I was wondering about that. Is there anywhere I could possibly read up on this stuff? How/why certain sets of spreads are skipped, PID generation, what differentiates the different generation methods (1-9, un/restricted), how they work, etc? I've been looking on Google, and I've found a few interesting things, but I would be curious to know what else is out there on the topic(s).

pokegen absolutely does this. you set the ability, gender, and nature, and it will change the ivs to match.

i need to see this. what .pgt file are you trying to import to create an ar code?
