  1. Sorry, I didn't do much save editing in those gens. PokeGen is usually the goto, except I don't believe that it really has features outside of Pokemon editing.
  2. I never really finished refreshing my mind with animation work, but I think you should theoretically be able to find the NANR (.RNAN) and seek to where it says KBNA. The u32 after it is the size, so leave that alone. But the next two u16s are num_seq and num_frames, so change that u32 to 01000100. Result should be: 4B 42 4E 41 NN NN NN NN 01 00 01 00 (Where NN NN NN NN was the previous size). Hope that gets you in the right direction!
  3. Converting saves like that are kinda difficult. Usually it'd be better to just move boxes and player data over and complete the storyline as is (or use someone else's save as a template). The problem lies within the flags that are used separated in each version and do not necessarily have a direct counterpart when switching.
  4. Download links were a bit hard to find, might want to consider having links at the footer or something as a backup. I'm moving this to the showcase. Congrats on the great work.
  5. It is also very important to note that a lot of such services are built in such a way that makes these things impossible. InstaCheck happened, but it was fixed immediately to avoid such behavior.
  6. Your other thread is in the correct location, so I'm going to close this one.
  7. GBA cartridges are the same deal. You need some sort of flashcart. People have creatively decorated their flashcarts to look like real cartridges in the past, or done board swaps, etc.
  8. Those are 3DS flashcarts which actually cannot run NDS games. I'd still recommend the R4i 3DS Gold model. Here is the NDS version of that chart: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/Flashcart_Comparison_Chart
  9. Just expanding for completion's sake: There are flashcarts such as the R4i that cost less than 20$ that can have an edited game injected onto them. They also can run other homebrew applications. The flashcarts are generally considered safe to use and do not affect the system. Certain brands do work on the 3DS, especially new R4i models. I'm going to move this thread over to the Flashcart subforum, but feel free to ask us any more questions.
  10. Because it was never implemented to be shiny. I think the poll was closed when Roland realized that you can't force a shiny encounter easily in Pt.
  11. The items do work here. Of course, they are not from the normal in-game trades; they are modified to have the items. There is a chance that the other hack did not include the appropriate flags that needed to be set, because some flags do need to be set for certain events to work (not just having the item).
  12. The Pokemon Script Collection is probably a must-have for fonts for you. It has the GB fonts along with all of the other ones.
  13. Moving to the Pokemon Requests sub-forum
  14. Does the Bagon have an item? Life orb causes all moves to do recoil, and is not prevented by rock head, for example.
  15. Are you making a ROM hack or just a video? It's not really possible to modify the ROM without editing the ROM. Are you just looking for a Scolipede sprite?
  16. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The gateway cart is required for playing the edited ROMs. Gateway itself requires firmware no greater than 9.2 in order to launch the exploits it needs to get running. (You can think of it like Nintendo blocked Gateway from working on later systems).
  17. Yeah, you can think of the Gateway as some sort of blank cart. http://www.gateway-3ds.com/ It is a homebrew and edited game enabler as well. With it, you can create a separated NAND partition (which allows you to run games at any firmware) and also allows any kind of game to run (which is important, because actual games require a valid signature that cannot be produced by anyone but Nintendo, and as soon as a game is edited, that signature becomes invalid.
  18. Right, all ROM editing has to happen at 9.2 or lower. Some save editing can be done at 9.5.0-22 and lower.
  19. What firmware are you on? The target firmware for ROM editing is 9.0-9.2. You will need a Gateway flashcart to both dump your retail game and play your edited games.

    Hey

Welcome, Bryan! I hope you enjoy your stay and can find topics relevant to your interests.
  21. That's not an article, that's a thread. And it has all of the Gen VI events in it with all of the appropriate information.
  22. Download 7zip and never have to deal with winrar again. The archive has an executable patcher which runs against an unpacked ROM directory. The ROM can be rebuilt again as a .3DS (RedCard) or a .CIA (SD Card for a CIA installer). This requires a Gateway!
  23. Excellent! Great to see a full 6th Gen ROM hack.
  24. Hello, we don't currently have an active maintainer for the site's event gallery. All of the events, however, can be found here: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?33343-Gen-VI-Event-Contribution-Thread
  25. Though, question. How did you get to 1.4/1.5 while still at firmware 9.5.0-22?
