8. When I try to load the .sav file into Pokegen that was created when i saved on PKMN Pearl on NO$GBA. It says This file's size doesn't match any of the supported types. Help I don't know what to do :frown:
9. Okay, here's the story: I open my newly started SoulSilver save file in PokeGen (3.1.13), and I go to edit my Totodile. I notice that when I go to the final tab, in the Trainer Information section my In-game Name (Ben...) is not displayed correctly. What isn't displaying correctly you might ask? PokeGen says the "...", or the Ellipsis character rather, is invalid After doing some research, the "Invalid Character" can be imputed as "/246C" in PokeGen's character map. However, once I have loaded mentioned SoulSilver save file (as well as any other 4th Gen. save files where I use this character (...) in my in-game name), the program says "invalid Character", and the character map won't let me select the very same character either. My question is: Why is this? Is there anything I can do to fix this? On a similar note, I am able to use this character specified in this thread without issue when dealing with my 5th Gen. save files. Thank You for your time, and have a good day. -DraptorRonin
10. So I got all three via Dream Radar and opened them up on pokegen to check to see their IVs and what do you know... pokegen doesn't know they have that form so they turned to Incarnate form and now I don't even know if they will still trigger the event to unlock the Reflecting Mirror. Granted I guess I am the one who made the mistake by not backing up the .PKM or .SAV files.
11. I'm trying to get the elusive Plasma Genesect onto either my White or White 2 cartridges (preferably White 2) using my Action Replay DSi on my DS Lite. I want to get it in the most legitimate way possible without having actually attended the event, meaning I need a code for the Plasma Genesect Wonder Card so that the delivery guy in the Pokemon Center gives it to me after pressing an activation button(s). I found a .pgf wonder card file for Plasma Genesect at http://www.projectpokemon.org/events/en-V.php so I downloaded it and loaded it up into Pokegen by going to Tools > Mystery Gift. I clicked "Open" on the right hand side to find that .pgf file in my Downloads folder and moved it over to the left side using the arrow button and clicked "Export." I did this twice: once for Wonder Card Slot 5 of Pokemon White and another time for Wonder Card Slot 1 of Pokemon White 2. Both times, I closed the Mystery Gift window and went to Tools > Code Generator. I clicked White or White 2, respectively and checked off "Mystery Gift" then clicked "Generate" and changed the drop down at the top of the code from the Used Card option (I don't remember the exact wording) to the option for whichever slot I wanted the card to be in for each game. The generator gave me the following codes, and neither of them worked after various tries with various techniques (including soft resetting after activating the code and checking the Wonder Card list): PLEASE HELP! This is the only Legendary Pokemon I cannot seem to get! P.S. I am using PokeGen Version 3.1.13 Genesect for white 2 (wonder card slot 1) 94000130 FFFB0000 0202A028 FFE2F3D0 E23FAFF0 00000030 4808B5F9 F40F2101 4807FE17 22CC4907 E9BAF47D 21014803 FDE4F40F 22002128 0000BDF9 022217A4 023FB020 022218A4 E23FB020 000000CC 00002758 00000000 00000000 00100010 02220000 004C01BB 02890144 FFFF0000 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 000002FF 9C850000 0000000F FF000000 FFFFFFFF 005000FF 0061006C 006D0073 FFFF0061 0F00FFFF 00000000 00680054 00200065 0079004D 00680074 00630069 006C0061 00500020 006B006F 006D00E9 006E006F 00470020 006E0065 00730065 00630065 00210074 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 0000FFFF 07DC0A07 01440063 00000001 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 D2000000 00000000 Genesect for white (wonder card slot 5) 94000130 FFFB0000 02024A50 FACEF3D6 E23FAFF0 00000030 4808B5F9 F40F2101 4807FA89 22CC4907 ED52F487 21014803 FA56F40F 22002128 0000BDF9 022217A4 023FB020 02221BD4 E23FB020 000000CC 00002758 00000000 00000000 00100010 02220000 004C01BB 02890144 FFFF0000 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 000002FF 9C850000 0000000F FF000000 FFFFFFFF 005000FF 0061006C 006D0073 FFFF0061 0F00FFFF 00000000 00680054 00200065 0079004D 00680074 00630069 006C0061 00500020 006B006F 006D00E9 006E006F 00470020 006E0065 00730065 00630065 00210074 FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF FFFFFFFF 0000FFFF 07DC0A07 01440063 00000001 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 D2000000 00000000

13. I had opened a thread about the first part of this post in the pkm section, but I don't know. I'm starting to guess these are Pokegen bugs and not something I'm doing wrong (because I've been repeating the same processes on over 500 Pokemon, and it's just these I'm having issue with; just one Pokemon name and one specific trainer name)? Of course, I can't be certain... First off, I'm not wanting to actually hack anything. I just prefer consistency with my Pokemon, as much as possible anyway. So, back before Pokebank was announced to alter older gen Pokemon to have lowercase names, I wanted to go through my collection and rename them all with lower case nicknames and lowercase OTs. Once it was revealed to be a feature of the program, I stopped worrying about the Pokemon's names and reverted them, but I continued to alter the OTs to be lowercase. So far, I've had no problem with any of them trying to get through...except Farfetch'd (from every region) and various critters. For Farfetche'd, I've tried everything I can think of to revert his name back to normal, even with the original Gen 4 files and then transferring them using the actual systems instead of Pokecheck. But it seems that no matter how I try and redo the name, fix the trashbytes, etc, there is still always "something wrong with the Pokemon" when trying to bank it. For some reason, I feel it has something to do with the apostrophe in Pokegen, because when I try and select the punctuation on the drop down menu, it won't appear, unlike any of the other symbols. The second is that upon trying to alter the OT of the Pokemon from the Distant Land collection that I donated to be lowercase, the OT corrupts itself on over half the Pokemon in each box once in Gen 5. It goes from being "Micheal", to stuff like "Micha・l", "Michaeャ", "Micha・\E06C", etc. New Folder (2).zip
14. i am using 2 English computers 1 vista other 8 and every time is try and run pokegen the latest version it just says it crashed and it does not give me any errors when it does i have tried turning down my virus wall and i have tried restarting my computer pokegen just doesnt want to work with either of my computers and i know its not graphics card one of my computers has an amd 7700 and im using win rar to extract it
15. On both my windows 8 laptop and my windows xp desktop I'm unable to launch the pokegen exe application... Any help would be appreciated
16. When extracting Pal Park 3rd Pokemon to .pkm, trashbytes are corrupted. The Pokemon extracted are 100% legit and caught in-game (from Ruby.)
17. I'm trying to make a Ponyta in an egg for a friend of mine, and for some reason, whenever I set the egg obtained location to Day-Care couple, it somehow sets it to the "Egg hatched" location while leaving the "Egg obtained" location empty. (For the record, taking a legal egg.pkm such as this one, opening it in the current version of PokeGen (3.1.13) then saving it without touching anything renders it illegal as can be seen here.)
18. Hello everyone ! I've been doing a Pokemon Platinum randomizer nuzlocke challenge with some friend and by accident, I deleted a move on my Vileplume. I've then been trying to regen that move with PokéGen, but everytime I press "Save file" or "Save file as...", Pokégen crashes or it says "Unable to create/write to backup file...". Tried with the version 3.1.13 and the 3.1.10. Please ask if there are any questions.
19. Title says it. I can't seem to save the changes whenever I edit this file. I've successfully done it at a japanese black and white 2, english hgss but strangely not at this file. POKEMON DIAMOND (J).sav
20. Let's fix this? it also does with Pokémon without sex
21. I recently had problem with a flash drive that got wet. I downloaded my old Pokesav Black and White file that I upload to this forum awhile back. Now PokeGen will not open the file correctly. Version beta 15 showed the images and data from the file. Now when I open the file the generation V Pokemon from file uploaded are not showing in the list for Pokegen.
22. For example I created a Pidgey to replace my starter, gave it a nickname and made it's ability tangled feet. When pidgey evolved it's name changed to Pidgeotto and it's ability changed to keen eye. Is this a bug with all pokegen pokemon or did I do something wrong?
23. Hello everyone! Any of you notice this problem? The Egg hatch date field in newest PokeGEN seems to be inverted with Met date. This was done with a legit egg-hatched pokemon from a retail copy of Pearl, checked in SoulSilver Rom, then manually traded to to a retail HeartGold, then finally legitly imported into a White 2 Rom. Mmmm, might be easier to explain like this: Retail Pearl (hatched) ---> Rom SoulSilver (1st window) Rom SoulSilver ---> Retail HeartGold Retail HeartGold ---> Rom White2 (2nd window) Same PokeGen version used to view both SS and W2 Rom. And this is where I'm viewing it before sending to Retail Black2. Is this just on my end or trouble with PokeGen?
24. So I've been a PokéGen user for quite some time now, and for the longest time I was unable to figure out why sometimes when saving a .pkm some fields would save and some wouldn't. Turns out that fields that you simply type what you want instead of selecting it in the drop-down menu (where applicable) don't save properly. They just empty themselves back to the default value. This happens even when the field data is correct, with the box changing from red to white and capitalization occurring properly. Just something to look into since it can take some time scrolling through the drop-down menus on a laptop.
