    Drifloon could get a pre-evo, that's pretty easy to see happening, it just has to be smaller and cuter. I could also see weavile getting a pre-evo. What about some evolving legendaries? That'd be crazy but fun.

    I guess they're trying to recreate the innovativeness of the original GSC in the remake. This might just be the best pokemon game I've played if they do it right

    sorry about any confusion, I meant that the three bits store the hex value for the total number of steps in little endian (the three bits all together form one number. The total number of steps you can take is 99999 which, in hex is 0x1869F, taking up the three bits)

    sorry, I was kinda rushed that post, I was literally out the door. Ok, 0x1184-0x1186 are the variables for the number of steps on the step counter in platinum. It stores the three hex numbers corresponding to the number of steps (dur). Used evandixon's kit, hxd, pokesav plat to fix the checksums.     At the moment I'm working on finding the poketch step counter and I think I've pretty much narrowed down the possibilities.

    0x2865 is the variable for the direction you're facing for platinum, the options being: 00: North 01: South 02: West 03: East these are the saves that I used, two for each direction Pokemon_Platinum facing direction.zip

    I used a HEX editor, your tool, and fixed the checksums with Pokesav Plat (codemonkey85's checksum fixer didn't work, it basically cleared all the data on plat saves) These locations are all for platinum

    I think I've found 3 places that seem to affect the direction you face: 0x1290 0x2865 0x2866 Haven't been able to test them properly yet (I've still gotta learn how to do that...) EDIT: the values for direction seem to be: 00: up 01: down 02: left 03: right

    Maybe it's something we haven't considered, like Snorlax or Gligar. I mean, assuming there was a massive fire in the Tin Tower, wouldn't the original inhabitants of the tower have all run away/died in the fire? So then the current inhabitants wouldn't really be an indicator towards what might have been in there before the fire.

    My guess is that it was three Bidoofs, too stupid to leave the tower while it was burning. Ho-Oh pitied them (who wouldn't? They're Bidoofs, for crying out loud) so much that he made them actually useful.

    Xatu and Aerodactyl are already being used by the E4, so probably better to discount them. I'm favouring Skarmory (it's gotta be in there somewhere ) or Togekiss For Bruno you could give him Breloom or Lucario instead of Hitmonlee (it doesn't seem like a very good pokemon, to be honest). Also, maybe give Blaziken Bulk Up instead of Agility so that he's not a copy of Hitmonchan Misty's Lumineon looks kinda out of place; perhaps Lanturn, Tentacruel or Milotic If Blue's got the Exeggutor, Arcanine and Gyarados in the double battle, shouldn't he have them in the gym leader battle? Maybe switch his Flareon for Blaine's Arcanine so there aren't two Arcanines running around the place. Also, Tyranitar is also used by Lance, maybe replace Blue's with Metagross/Marowak@Thick Club/Blissey Also, Will's got an exeggutor as well as double battle Blue, maybe replace that with Gallade/Metagross/Gardevoir/Hypno

    OHMYGOD! This made my night! I was pretty much inconprehensible for five solid minutes after reading the news! Definitely getting silver; it was by far the best. Can't wait to play that game again!

    Can DPPt hatched pokemon have anything but Normal NDS/GBA or Wild NDS/GBA PIDs?

    It'd be cool if you could, once you beat the Elite Four, actually become the champion. Maybe take challengers and have awin streak, like at the battle tower, but if you lose, you have to fight the guy who beat you to become the champion again.
