For what feels like a slow news week, I have news that is exactly what we need: It was discovered by @wwwwwwzx that due to a programming oversight by USUM development team, it was possible to get a Partner Cap Pikachu to be shiny! (only this variant can experience this) Summary of the process: Step 1: Due to shiny lock, non shiny PID was generated against player's TID/SID, Step 2: then Ash's TID/SID replaces the player's TID/SID on the Cap Pikachu. Meaning, it is possible to get a PID that will be shiny with Ash's TID/SID, as long as your TSV is different from Ash's. Anyhow, here is the Partner cap Pikachu that I managed to obtain shiny using RNG!2 points

Was planning to wait until I had the Mewtwo to upload everything, but if you want Solgaleo Nebbycrozma right now, then here it is. Also... Got this one this time around. As well as these ones. Though I must point out that, while Bulbapedia says that Sophocles's Magnezone's supposed to have Sturdy, the one I dumped has Analytic. The US counterparts for these ones. And last, there was a second trial Fomantis in Lush Jungle, which could appear instead of the Comfey, depending on which wrong honey bush you chose. It's slightly different from the first one (it's Lv. 21 and has Ingrain instead of Leafage). I've had these ones dumped for some time now but I hadn't moved on to the RR Episode yet as I wanted to hunt down every Ultra Space legendary before entering the HoF. Now, since I'm done with that, I'm planning to start the RR thing tonight. Should have Gio's Mewtwo (and prolly the other bosses' legends as well) within a couple of days.1 point

Apparently USUM has an unused Egg Move: Punishment Murkrow. I think we'll have to wait a bit before upload it. Also still hope that we can get Necrozma-Solgaleo dump and Giovanni's Mewtwo too. Still need help for the Unused Entei Script. And for the lv41 Volcarona for Underleved collection.1 point

Technically, it was Game Freak that messed up the programming, not Nintendo ;P Additionally, it might not even be the same staff members that made these mistakes, since 21 years has passed (in total). In my mind, it is either: 1. They wanted the abnormal trash bytes on the Mews, for Transporter to check, but didn't realized transporter has OT/Nickname limits (maybe it does), so they wrote a patch in VC Gen II to normalize it 2. Whoever in-charge of modding the Mew Distro rom (could be the same person here, since both title IDs are back to back) assumed x00 is a valid terminator byte. The error only got caught after release, so they wrote a patch in VC Gen II to normalize it1 point

I would have to look into it but it is possible that a section of the save got corrupt and it gets overwritten upon save where the invalid data is replaced.1 point

In light of recent events, I want to reinforce this point to our users: Please do not submit hacks, fakes, custom cards, etc. Maybe you think you're helping the community out: you're not. Maybe you just want a quick laugh; do it elsewhere, preferably not at the expense of our kind users. In any case, I will like to take this opportunity to thank our users who submit self-obtained wonder cards. They are the heroes to everyone interested in event collections (except to hacker-haters, of course ;P )1 point

A Pokémon will hatch shiny if the PID and OT (that hatched it) information result in a shiny. If you're making a shiny egg you need to specify the ID/SID before creating a shiny PID.1 point
