PKHeX for Mac Made with Wineskin Welcome to PKHeX for Mac Discussion thread! Please post here if you need help or are experiencing issues related to this Wineskin wrapper, and use the PKHeX Support forum for issues related to the program. This is a Mac App that was made using Wineskin; it is not a port of PKHeX onto the Mac operating system. With Wineskin, we can recreate an environment where executable files will launch on Mac. As far as what is known, all features in the original program work in this wrapper. There are a few differences though. PKHeX for Mac is styled with MacOS. tl;dr - is it possible without shortcuts? no: illegal. There's a difference between abusing quirks (RNG) and causing normally unavailable quirks (glitch) and then abusing the glitch. Glitches are not part of the intended game design, thus never legal (in the eyes of the official legality checker). Corrupting memory to trigger an unavailable/custom encounter is not legal. Encounter must be available without glitches. Corrupting memory to replace data on an existing pkm is not legal. Data replacement must be available without glitches. Examples: Semi-legit: Tweaking (glitch) to encounter the ingame Darkrai; no shortcuts were used during the current play session (soft reset after arriving), and the encounter is normally obtainable without shortcuts (event distribution). Semi-legit: Hacking in the event item of a released event; again, no shortcuts were used during the current play session and the encounter is normally obtainable without shortcuts (event distribution). Illegal: For the flute Arceus, encounter is only available via setup shortcuts. Illegal: Encounter / setup is not available without glitches/cheats. The most recent update of Invision Power Board (IPB, our forum system) comes integrated with 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) support. We've decided to switch to this having previously relied on an external plugin. Anyone who has previously configured 2FA will need to re-configure it. We apologize for the inconvenience, but on the bright side, this shouldn't be necessary in the future since as long as we stay with IPB. For those of you who are not familiar with 2FA, it is a way to secure your account even further. In the event someone steals your password, they will be unable to enter your account without also having access to a device of yours that runs Google Authenticator. To set it up, install Google Authenticator on a supported device, scan the bar code found in your account settings, and enter the code that Authenticator displays. If you aren't able to use Google Authenticator or simply don't want to, you can also try WinAuth (thanks to @ReignOfComputer for making me aware of this). Using 2FA is not required, but highly recommended. If anyone has any questions, feel free to send me a PM, reply to this thread, or ask in our IRC channel.
