Hadn't slept in awhile when I posted my Platinum BP eon team....... But that's old news. This team is a compilation of my 837x3 hours on Pearl, and my 406 hours on SoulSilver. Mainly based around some of the more common sets you see because they contain alot of my favs. Bred countless times to get the IV's just right, but the EV's were a little easier. Metagross @ Berry* (Fire) Nature: Adamant Ability: Clear Body EVs: Atk-252 Speed-40 Def-218 Role: Phys. Wall/Sweeper - Bullet Punch - Earthquake - Explosion - Stealth Rock *Added Bullet for priority move as suggested, and seems to be better. I'm actually shocked. Slot 2, empty Arcanine @ Life Orb Nature: Adamant Ability: Flash Fire EVs: 4-Hp 252-Atk 252-Speed Role: Lead - Phys. Sweeper - Flare Blitz - Earthquake - ExtremeSpeed - Swords Dance Comment: SD to any attack depending on who's on the other side. Plain job, plain description. Dragonite @ Leftovers Nature: Forgot, but I'm sure it's +Atk Ability: Inner Focus EVs: Atk-252 SpDef-101 Speed-105 Role: Sweeper - Superpower - Fire Punch - Draco Meteor - Roost Comment: Dargon does his job nice, it's clean, like I like. Suicune @ Lum Berry Nature: Timid Ability: Pressure EVs: 252-SpAtk 252-SpDef 4-HP Role: Sp.Sweep/Wall - Calm Mind - Hydro Pump - Ice Beam - Rest Comment: OMG Suicune.. yeah. Vaporeon just didn't cut it, and I'm sorry, but Swampert's sprite is fugly, I just can't. Makes a nice Special Sweeper/Wall, hard to kill. Slot six, empty Please, criticize until you faint. Any and all suggestions are very welcomed. Even after all that work, my team can very well still be better. If I didn't list anything, tell me. Note: I more than likely have a role that needs to be filled, but my mind can't place what....

Leafeon Leaf Blade X-Scissor Baton Pass Swords Dance Espeon Calm Mind Psychic Shadow Ball Baton Pass Umbreon Dark Pulse (I might change it to confuse ray considering umbreon's crappy atk/sp.atk) Wish Toxic Baton Pass Glaceon Ice Beam Shadow Ball Hidden Power (Fire) Baton Pass Jolteon Thunderbolt Agility Hidden Power (Grass) Baton Pass Vaporeon Substitute Surf Acid Armor Baton Pass I would list my EV's and Natures and whatnot, but I can't display EVERY aspect of my team now can I So, I apologize for not listing Roles, EV's, everything else, and not using the proper format. I just can't allow a team that's earned me alot of wins to be replicated and used by others. I would do the proper format too, except I found that out AFTER I made this...

Alakazam @ Life Orb Trait: Synchronize Nature: Timid EVs: 252 SpA/ 6 SpD/ 252 Spe - Psychic - Focus Blast - Signal Beam - Calm Mind Personally, I know for a fact that if my Alakazam manages to use at least one Calm Mind, and isn't under a status condition, Psychic or Focus Blast can at least take out one or two Pokemon. The only move that gives me trouble here is Focus Blast, due to 80% accuracy, sometimes it's hard to rely on it. Weavile @ Choice Band Trait: Pressure Nature: Jolly EVs: 42 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 216 Spe - Night Slash - Pursuit - Ice Punch - Brick Break I modified this revenge Killer Weavile and replaced Ice Shard with Ice Punch because I personally like Punch more, and included Brick Break in case I ever run into a Rock type or a Steel Type. Infernape @ Life Orb Trait: Blaze Nature: Naive EVs: 194 Spe/ 64 Atk/ 252 SpA - Flamethrower - Grass Knot - Close Combat - Hidden Power (Ice) This is one of my favorites, since it's good move set along with it's nature and EV's help me handle a diverse amount of Pokemon types. I prefer Flamethrower over Fire Blast any day, more accuracy helps and the 40 damage less won't mind thanks to his SpA Ev's. Gliscor @ Life Orb Trait: Sand Veil Nature: Jolly EVs 252 Hp/ 42 Def/ 216 Spe - Earthquake - U-Turn - Taunt - Roost My stallbreaker and second favorite, the Earthquake/Taunt/Roost combo is great if played correctly, and I also like to Taunt and then use U-Turn for a decent effect, depending on the enemy Pokemon. Tentacruel @ Leftovers Trait: Liquid Ooze Nature: Calm EVs: 252 Hp/ 122 Def/ 136 SpD - Surf - Ice Beam/Sludge Bomb - Toxic Spikes - Rapid Spin Tentacruel is my support, sometimes I switch to him so I can blow away Spikes/Stealth rock with Rapid Spin and then attack or switch and use Toxic Spikes and then attack, it depends on what I'm facing, really. Jolteon @ Choice Specs Trait: Volt Absorb Nature: Timid EVs: Def 6/ 252 Spe/ 252 Spa - Thunderbolt - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power (Ice) - Baton Pass This girl is a freaking murder machine. I've seen her take out a decent amount of Pokemon thanks to Thunderbolt or Hidden Power (Ice) with insane speed EV's. The only drawback is that sometimes people switch out to a Pokemon type that is resistant to Thunderbolt, which is the attack I use the most, forcing me to switch from time to time and costing me damage on my next Pokemon. Overall, the big flaw this team has is that a good Ground type could take out Tentacruel, Infernape and Jolteon, but I usually switch to Gliscor. The only other threat is a Water type, a good one like Gyarados or Starmie, could OHKO or 2HkO either Infernape or Gliscor if I don't switch to someone like Tentacruel.

I wrote a EV and IV recently and I was wondering if you guys could give me some feed back on how I did? I made it for a site that was getting over loaded in questions on this kinda of topic and made this to help out, but I feel I may have made soem mistakes, Os i wanted to ask since who knows IV's and EV's better then those who hack them. http://www.pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=101095 By Request of wraith89 I brought it here. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2294

I accidentally posted this in the wrong section. But I've got it right now. And before anyone says otherwise, this is my competitive team, not in-game (though it works there too.) Anyway, here they are: Blaziken (male) Nature: Jolly Ability: Blaze Item: Scope Lens Moves: Blaze Kick Shadow Claw Thunderpunch Sky Uppercut EVs: 252 ATK / 252 SPEED Stats: HP: 301 Atk: 339 Def: 176 Sp.Atk:230 Sp.Def: 176 Speed: 284 Gardevoir (female) Nature: Timid Ability: Synchronize Item: Lum Berry Moves: Psychic Calm Mind Focus Blast ThunderboltEVs: 188 SP.ATK / 64 DEF / 252 SPEED Stats: HP: 277 Atk: 149 Def: 182 Sp.Atk: 333 Sp.Def: 266 Speed: 284 Salamence (male) Nature: Jolly Ability: Intimidate Item: Yache Berry Moves: Outrage Fly Fire Blast (may replace with Fire Fang) Dragon Dance Stats: EVs: 252 ATK / 252 SPEED HP: 331 Atk: 369 Def: 196 Sp.Atk: 230 Sp.Def: 196 Speed: 328 Roserade (female) Nature: Timid Ability: Natural Cure Item: Black Sludge Moves: Energy Ball Shadow Ball Sludge Bomb Sleep Powder EVs: 190 SP. I'm not sure how to calculate EVs, but what I have listed are my closest estimates. Oh, and one thing, I don't like to teach two of my team pokemon the same moves, or give them the same items. Its kind of my style.

Just putting it out there, I like using teams that are different. I'm also wondering who, if I should, to give Stealth Rock to. Weavile-Focus Sash Hasty&Pressure EVs: 4HP/252Atk/252Spe -Fake Out -Taunt -Counter -Ice Punch Your basic anti-lead, especially for suicide leads. Fake Out nulls enemie's Focus Sashes, Taunt prevents Stealth Rock/Toxic/that bad stuff, and Ice punch is for Aerodactyl/dragons and counter is mostly for late game/Blissey Scizor-Life Orb Adamant&Technician EVs: 176HP/100Atk/56Spe/176SpDef -U-Turn -Roost -Quick Attack -Pursuit Another basic build. Quick attack makes up for Scizor's bad speed, Roost is there because it's good, and Pursuit is another attack, but also works with U-Turn for anticipating an attack. Swampert-Leftovers Careful&Torrent EVs: 226HP/61Atk/223Def -Earthquaker -Curse -Waterfall -Avalanche I'm probably most proud of this guy, mostly because he's unusual and can take a hit. Screw special attacks, Curse+Avalanche works for me and Equake and Waterfall help. Gallade-Expert Belt Jolly&Steadfast EVs: 56HP/252Atk/200Spe -Shadow Sneak -Bulk Up -Brick Break -Psycho Cut Since apparently a faster enemy can trash a Gallade, I put some speed into his build and gave him two STAB moves, Bulk Up (duh), and a surprise ghost attack. Venusaur-Leftovers Sassy&Overgrow EVs: 252HP/252Def/6SDef -Sludge Bomb -Leech Seed -Sleep Powder -Razor Leaf Meant to take hits and be annoying, Leech Seed is annoying as well as Sleep Powder. Sludge Bomb isn't the best, but I don't want two grass STAB attacks Arcanine-Leftovers Adamant&Intimidate EVs: 8HP/250Atk/252Spe -Hidden Power (Ground) -Overheat -Extremespeed -Howl I could've had an Energy Ball Ninetales, but I like Arcanine's better stats more. It's a fairly basic Arcanine build. Any help to get me out of my nubiness is appreciated.

Keep in mind this team uses a few HMs (even though Surf is commonly used competitively) because I hate swapping with the PC to surf/fly. It's probably pretty bad, but I'm curious to see where I can go with this competitively since I've done really all there is to do in the real game. This is my result after some intensive leveling and a pretty standard play-through. All EVs/IVs I can change per request, but I'll list what I have now. All natures are a result of decently high IVs (but not all 31 or anything). All pass legal checker and are able to be uploaded in a battle video to the GTS. ANY suggestions welcome. First of all, I apologize for my English. I am not a native speaker, kindly bear with me :creep: I am really new into this game. Currently, I am still playing Pearl, (I have a Platinum already but not playing yet..). Below is the current Team I am using at the BATTLE TOWER. Please, I need your professional opinion and advice. Metagross @ Occa Berry Nature: Adamant Ability: Clear Body EVs: 252 HP / 236 Atk / 12 Def / 8 Spe Role: Lead - Stealth Rock - Bullet Punch - Earthquake - Meteor Mash Comment: A Smogon-based metagross lead, with my own version of moveset, keeping Meteor Mash & Bullet Punch for STAB. Empoleon @ Leftovers Nature: Modest Ability: Torrent EVs: my original starter, decided not to EV-train him to see how far he will get Role: Special Sweeper - Hail - Blizzard - Surf - Earthquake Comment: Hail for Blizzard's accuracy, leftovers for the effect of Hail, Earthquake for coverage. Gyarados @ Wacan Berry Nature: Jolly Ability: Intimidate EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Role: Offensive (sweeper) - Waterfall - Thunderbolt - Fire Blast - Dragon Dance Comment: Wacan Berry to weaken electric attacks, Thunderbolt and Fire Blast for coverage. Note: Currently, my team is at a 35 winning game streak. I wonder how far will it go? Your feed back is truly appreciated.

randomspot555 edit: This thread is for posting unique move sets that you made up. These should be mostly original (don't just change one move on a standard set). And they do have to be COMPLETE (held item, EVs, 4 move slots, explanation/role, etc...) Please follow the posting format in the RMT Rules. Happy posting! Hi everyone, is anyone here willing to share creative movesets? If you are then please share them here as I am trying to find good movesets other than smogons Here is 1 of my own Scizor Name: Agility sweeper Nature: Adamant Ev's: 252 Atk, 252 spd, 6 def Moves: Iron Head/Bullet punch, Superpower, Agility, X-Scissor Hold item: Life orb/Focus Sash Description: This set is pretty simple, use agility to get scizor's speed stat high If you choose adamant nature, after 1 agility, scizor's speed will hit 458 enabling scizor to outspeed anything except deoxys speed form and pokemon that are scarfed The choice between Bullet Punch and Iron head depends on what you prefer Bullet punch is good for priority while Iron Head is better for power As for the hold item, Focus Sash garantee's at least 1 agility while life orb gives scizor's moves more of a punch

"Rate My Team" Rules and Information Post your team in this Sub-Forum for everyone to rate and also to get advice from others. All teams will be graded as Pokémon DPPt Teams, if your team differs, please post the version the team will be used in. Last, but not least, state where the team will be used: Battle Tower Elite Four In-Game General (now with own thread: http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2335) Competitive Wi-Fi Please use the following Format when making a RMT Thread: Pokemon @ Item Nature: Ability: EVs: Role: - Move 1 - Move 2 - Move 3 - Move 4 Comment: (Optional, but highly recommended) Criticizing Rules: 1. Post Helpful Comments - Post how they can improve their team/member. 2. Be Respectful - Don't be offensive and don't use an aggressive tone. OP Rules: 1. Use Proper Format - Follow the above format and you should be good. 2. Be Respectful - Don't be offensive and don't use an aggressive tone. Tips: (By Illithian 8/29/09} Create your team in Shoddy Battle and hit 'Export to Text' to have it automatically formatted. Include pictures of your Pokemon. Try to ignore your favorites; it will make it much easier to create a successful team if you aren't attached to a specific pokemon. Test your team frequently! You'll have fun and be able to see strengths and weaknesses much better in practice then on paper. Also, once suggestions are posted, you can really see the difference and whether or not its worth keeping. Good luck and have FUN!

This has probably been brought up before but I would just like to say: That there needs to be a Rate My Team sub forum in Competitive Battling main forum, having a single thread for posting teams makes things messy and inconvenient, having a dedicated forum for posting rate my team threads would remedy this. If such a thing is considered then I would recommend these rules. Unless stated your team must consist of 6 pokemon, 1 from a different species (now more than one lucario per team for example). There should be no ubers in your team unless you are posting a uber tier team. Teams must follow this format: Pokemon @ Items Ability Nature EVs Moveset - Moveset 1 - Moveset 2 - Moveset 3 - Moveset 4 When posting your rmt thread have some actual words to say about your choices, what they do for your team and why they do it, one line sentances does not help the rater get an idea on why you chose your members. Have a strategy for your team, posting 6 random OU or any other tier Pokemon does not get you anywhere, if it is an offensive team, tell us why it is an offensive team, is it bulky offense? Avoid posting the same old repetitive team you posted before. Something along those lines would improve the quality of the comepetive battling forum and make things more organized.

I decided to learn about planting berries in Pokemon and found a lot of information about it on the internet. However, I came across a piece of "advanced" data does not seem to have much information about: Soil Drying Rate (or Water Absorption Rate). The absorption rates can be found on these sites: http://www.legendarypokemon.net/dp/berries/, http://veekun.com/dex/berries/, http://serebii.net/berrydex-dp/ I went through the Absorption column of Legendary Pokemon's table and picked out the available rates that were in the game: 4, 6, 7, 8, 10, 15, 35. I wanted to find out how long it takes for the soil to go from dark to tan and tan to grey for the different absorption rates in the game and compare them. My method for finding out how long it takes for the soil to change: Run Game (I used the NO$GBA emulator because it helped me speed up time without having to actually wait the long hours) Plant berry Change system time (Only possible when using emulator, I tried with my DS but the berries does not mature when I change the DS system time) Record exact time it takes to go from dark to tan and tan to grey Note: I tested one berry 5 times for the five time changes of Pokemon, but the results were the same. Because of this, I'm not sure if people are right when they said water absorption is faster during the day and slower at night. What I believe didn't help was that I tested it with a berry that had a rate of 35. Actually, if the absorption rate were slower at night, then I would think that it would greatly affect the berry with a rate of 35 the most. For Reference: Day: 10:00 am to 4:59 pm Dusk: 5:00 pm to 7:59 pm Night: 8:00 pm to 11:59 pm Late night: 12:00 am to 3:59 am Morning: 4:00 am to 9:59 am Data Soil Dry Rate Dark->Tan Tan->Grey 4 13 13 6 9 8 7 8 7 8 7 6 10 5 5 15 4 3 35 2 1 What I found interesting was that the soil always changed after X hours and not X hr X min. After I compiled this data, I tried to figure out how it works. I decided to total the two columns, but it didn't seem to help. Then I decided to see what happen if I multiplied the rate by the total. Soil Dry Rate Dark->Tan Tan->Grey Total Total x Rate 4 13 13 26 104 6 9 8 17 102 7 8 7 15 105 8 7 6 13 104 10 5 5 10 100 15 4 3 7 105 35 2 1 3 105 After I saw how close the products of total and rate were, I believe I figured out how the absorption rate works. A plant's water level is 100 when newly planted. A plant's water level is 100 when watered. The rate number is subtracted from the plant's water level hourly. If the water level is less than or equal to 50 (but greater than 0) the soil is tan. If the water level is less than or equal to 0 the soil is grey. Possible future testing Is there a difference between night and day? (or among Day, Dusk, Night, Late Night, Morning) Is there a difference in water absorption if you turn off the game? (My testing was as though the person played without turning off the game) How does Mulch affect this? Questions or comments?

So...If anyone has noticed a lot of RMT's have been have been.... A: Not in the right thread! B: Not in the right forum! C: Lacking any substance for us to rate D: Not in the right forum! So I was wondering if we could have a specific forum/Sub forum for Team rates? I happen to like giving advice to people on ways to fix up their teams but a lot of threads aren't being posted in the right forum/format, do not provide enough information for anyone to properly rate their team and as a whole they are taking up a lot of useless space. Having a separate forum for it would be beneficial. I also wouldn't mind writing up a " Required for all rate my teams" Thread that includes things things an RMT should have and the correct format to post it, et cetera. This should clear up the clutter thats been seen around the forums, and once Project pokemon is in it's more developed stages it will have an active RMT forum/subforum
