  1. Team Fail did some work on e-Reader Trainer Events http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?46216-GEN-3-e-Reader-Event-Injection He tried getting the Japanese e-Reader to work on other language version games. Anyways all the scripts for the event are still inside the ROM. They even translated the dialogs with the old man in that house, except those that would be seen during the tranfer of the data. If you get the trainer data via e-card it will be stored at a different location than the Mystery Gift data: Section 0 RS: 0x498, E: 0xBEC, FRLG: 0x4A0 But it might also work if the game finds the data at the location for Mystery Gifts. Though I'm not sure about that.
  2. Oh man, you have no idea. I was reading this and you guys will probably be so happy to know. I have 100% legit, perfect contest berries in gen 3! They're on my Emerald save. If you'd be willing to contribute your save, I'd be more than happy to help you get copies of my Pokeblocks. I can: (You send me your save or a .pkm file) Give them to your Pokemon directly Use Triggers PC to give you clones (I'm pretty sure I can do this) Send you my Emerald save or an Emerald save with these Pokeblocks on it. I have all of the English E-reader cards and a handful of the Japanese. I could help you get the Regi dolls, any of the E-reader berries, Eon tickets in Ruby/Sapphire, etc. I'll edit this post or post a reply with as many screenshots as possible. Earlier this year on Serebii I met a couple collectors who are very big on legitimacy who also love Ribbon Masters. (I tried with my Suicune and did all of gen 3 but 4 is a nightmare. I also couldn't get anything else in gen 3 past the battle tower.) They helped me get the perfect Pokeblocks. I sent one of them my Emerald save and (Using an emulator and 4 versions of VBA) made the perfect berries. They used some of my berries. Legit berries that I grew myself. Pictures/Screenshots So after looking at Triggers PC, I have 2 sets on there. I'll happily give you them all if you're willing to contribute your save. You might find this interesting as well. 3. I'm mainly posting this to subscribe to this thread. I wanted to do this buy you completely lost me at the hex editor part. I have a complete Japanese save from when I was going for a legit Ageto Celebi and I have most of the stuff. I want a complete as possible gen 3 collection so I had intentions of getting the E-cards. Is there no other way to do this?
  4. I knew all that. I have an e-Reader and three Eon Ticket cards (two legit and one I printed on photo paper). I also figured the max amount you can send by mixing records was 255 because of MORFEO's cheats.
  5. Oh? Well there you go, right after I posted that. I'll give it a try. Nevermind, can't get the save file to work with sram-patched rom for some reason. Works fine with any other game or even other eReader saves (I did it with Eon Ticket a long time ago and it worked like a charm.) It works fine in emulator. What are we trying to do, anyway? What kind of info are we trying to gather? Wasn't it said earlier that the Regi doll e-card just added them directly to your inventory? So if we want to re-create that with this mystery gift tool, we can just have it add the dolls to your inventory directly and wouldn't it have the same effect?
  6. Seems I'm late, here's my spanish save: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hj5zgl11crzw0xu/01-GC6P-pokemon_colosseum_hoho.gci?dl=0 probably gamefaqs doesn't allow hotlinking. Since you said the game let's you save before battling the trainer with the shadow pokemon, would it be too much to ask for a save before each of this e-reader shadow pokemon battles? This way one can edit the save to change TID, SID, etc. so they are generated in-game under the desired trainer. I'd prefer that over editing the pokémon to change OT data. I may try the emulated gba connection, how does this exactly work? Does the e-reader even start in gba or you need to connect with SELECT+START? Where I'm trying to get is if we only need a savegame with the desired e-card read and the e-reader rom, it will probably work.
  7. All the e-reader functionality can be implemented as a custom mystery gift events (EON Ticket, Regi Dolls, Trainers and Berries). It's not the official way but it can be done. That is why is under the "Custom Events" category... The only e-reader event that was initially planned to be worked with the Mystery Gift seems to be the Trainer Battles... This was supposed to use the password system that we don't know how it works. Edit: I think Takasan tool does the exact same thing as Morfeo AR Code does and the same one as the one I have recreated. It's the mystery gift battle card script with the e-reader code injected at the same time...
  8. I'm really looking forward to this and I'm ok with most of the Pokémon from gens 4-6 not being available, as Orre imports most of its Pokémon anyway. BTW, can you add more Shadow Pokémon, plus Pokémon available through e-Cards only?
  9. Thank you BlackShark! That helped me a lot. On my save was at Section 2 instead of 0. I put there the Morfeo's trainer and it worked like a charm Here is a screenshot: So if you have the trainer wonder card, the guy in green says to you this: Thank you for using the MYSTERY GIFT System. By holding this WONDER CARD, you may take part in a survey at a POKéMON MART. Use these surveys to invite TRAINERS to the SEVII ISLANDS. …Let me give you a secret password for a survey: “GIVE ME AWESOME TRAINER” Write that in on a survey and send it to the WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. If you have the Wonder Card AND the e-card code you get the event unlocked... The man in green says this: Thank you for using the MYSTERY GIFT System. A TRAINER has arrived in the SEVII ISLANDS looking for you. We hope you will enjoy battling the visiting TRAINER. You may invite other TRAINERS by entering other passwords. Try looking for other passwords that may work. So i guess this was planned to work like this: 1. You receive the trainer wonder card from an event 2. You find somewhere those codes (wonder news maybe???) 3. You send the codes to wonder spot using the adapter 4. The new batch of code was downloaded to enable the event. Now i have to try with only the e-reader code to see what happens... Edit: This works and if you have only the e-reader code. If you go straight to Sootopolis the trainer is there... Also just to be correct, the above text is from FireRed. My test was in Emerald so the text says about trainer arrived at Sootopolis
  10. Edit: I was viewing this video: It is obviously a wc hack (even though he claims it is from a legit nintenso event...) that uses the givepkm script command. What bothers me is that the card is sent by another trainer, but the received card can't be sent. I wonder if there is some kind of share counter byte or it's simply a part of the video. A wc that can be shared only on original device would be great for distribution to other gba trough wireless adapter. EDIT2: I've found it: adding 0x40 instead of 0x80 to the color/distribution byte makes it shareable, but receivers can't share the WC. Also, I've been wondering how the wc that give pokemon get marked as used, since the ticket ones check for the item and event flag for that.k Wonder card news editor is already coded and fully working. It was almost the same code as the normal wc editor, so I thought I might put it already in the editor. I guess next comes mistery event for rs/e, would be interesting to see what happens on non-jap emerald when script from r/s is injected (probably nothing as flags are probably different) That would be the source of the mistik ticket hack probably? UPDATE: I've been playing a little with WC news and comparing the save before and after sending the news. Some data was written to the 4 bytes that go after the mistery gift survey words (which is stored 0x28 bytes after wc data). I haven't checked this region after sending wondercards, but seems related to this in some way. Maybe it's just some kind of statistics of how many trainers you have connected to.
  11. Is this a regidolls savegame where you modified the language setting so it works with other languages? Or is it a modified rom to be recognized as japanesse? In any case I wanted to look into this and actually create ereader saves for eon ticket in the other languages, I know it can be done, but haven't looked into it yet. Same goes for the regi dolls, the distribution data for the japanesse e-card vpk can be translated and made to work in other languages I guess, but I'd like to see the script before (but seems to work just fine as you show in your video). The usa eon ticket vpk can actually be modified to distribute any script (i.e. receive celebi egg...), It's very interesting for RS as they lack wifi WC distribution that can be achieved with custom wondercards. Ps: everyone cross fingers for shipment and quick response by nintendo, I'm eager for the missing events (specially eon tickets!). Too bad no news for french ruby yet.
  12. I didn't expect such excited replies! Thank you guys! To tell you the truth I was more than willing to share my saves anyway, and contribute a little to the community after all these years of just lurking the forums. @HaxAras My god! you have quite the collection! And you did exactly what I was planning on doing to get the perfect pokeblocks. I'll be more than grateful if you could share some of those to my save or another save with the necessary berries to blend the pokeblocks, I would really appreciate it! @HaxAras I'm from México, and got the tickets at the Electronic Game Show on 2004 and 2005. To be more precise I got the Aurora Ticket on October 23rd 2004, and the Mystic Ticket on October 22nd 2005, both events were held at the World Trade Center in Mexico City. Back in the day, all the games we could get here were American versions, there was no localizations and if you wanted some pokemon games in spanish you had to import them, which of course was more expensive (and personally I just hate the way the game reads in spanish, such horrible translatios!) The Eon ticket on my Emmerald save came from the collaboration with a friend I had during those years. We used to play TCG, and he used to travel alot to the states (his dad was a pilot) so he eventually got ahold on an e-reader so we could use it to play with the codes on the cards, and some time later(I cannot remember for the love of god how or from whom) I got my hands on a physical Eon Ticket, so we scanned it to his Sapphire and proceeded to mix records with my emmerald. I keep the card to this day. Finally, I would like the saves to be kept private, so I'm sending you the saves via PM. I hope my saves are useful to you guys! And thank you, really thank you!
  13. You really want to do it? Cool. You could also wait if there are more people who would work together and send you their cartridges... Well let's see what we need... Eon Ticket RS: French, Italian, Spanish Aurora Ticket FRLG: English Emerald: French, German, Italian, Spanish Not necessary but if your friend has an English Ruby or Sapphire Game it would be cool if that could be send as well. Because we have an English Eon Ticket, but just the e-Card Version. I would like to see if the one from the distribution device is identical. For the Emerald Aurora Ticket. I think this is the most tough one... 4 games... The most important is actually the Spanish one again. If we're lucky I might be able to reconstruct the other ones. Would be cool to get all of them tho', since that's the only way we could ensure 100% that they're legit.
  14. So it has been a while, but I've got some great news about Pokemon Colosseum English E Room, i was able to catch the unreleased English e card Pokemon. At the moment i have got only togepi, but when i have got time ill get the other 2. Here Some Pictures https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byle9GvE5WbfU0ZhMlEtVGlVZm8/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byle9GvE5WbfRk1VMDREX3lKUEU/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byle9GvE5WbfeEJMcWJheEk4dUk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byle9GvE5WbfOHBLaDZZeDZrLUk/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byle9GvE5Wbfd2hZSGs1dWNDZm8/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byle9GvE5WbfNEtBSGFqWTVQM0k/view?usp=sharing Update I have just created a new thread with details on how to get the events, Ill be posting on there from now on. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?47519-Colosseum-Unreleased-E-Reader-Pokemon
  15. So I've slightly derailed from working on the e-Cards because I've found some very interesting stuff in regards to FireRed and LeafGreen support for the e-Reader. Here's the backstory: In Japan, the e-Reader proved to be extremely popular and was run until the end of the GBA's life. Elsewhere, however, it flopped. FireRed and LeafGreen had support for the e-Reader in Japan alongside the Wireless Adapter, but during the localisation process, this was removed and only the Wireless Adapter functionality was retained. I was digging in knizz's FireRed IDA Pro database and found some interesting functions around where the Mystery Gift stuff was, and I did some hex editing, and this happened as a result: This is the menu screen, an almost vanilla copy of FireRed, of the Mystery Events menus. It's completely intact, but there's a few issues: 1. The text has been nulled out. 2. The embedded e-Reader VPK is untranslated (But is still there!) 3. It connects to a Japanese e-Reader, not a USA e-Reader 4. With the vanilla code, FireRed will only let you access it if you have the Wireless Adapter attached. I've been working on this, and with a small amount of assistance, we've gotten past most of this. So far, this is what has been done: 1. Most of the most important text has been translated 2.The Wireless Adapter check has been removed. If the adapter is detected, the game will go to the Mystery Gift menu for use with the adapter. Otherwise, it defaults to Mystery Events. So, all that's really left is: 1. Fix the communication so it works with a USA e-Reader 2. Translate the embedded application Edit: There was a little bit of information that I had in mind to add last night but didn't for whatever reason. Anyway, while doing my debugging in No$GBA, I've identified a subroutine as part of a large jump list at 08143A5C. It is this routine, I believe, that is responsible for completing handshake code to confirm that it is connected to an e-Reader, and if so, to set up and establish a communication with it so that the e-Reader can download the embedded application to it. Right now, I'm planning to look into this code, but I haven't had much in the way of success yet. Once I can finish this and patch this particular routine so that it connects with a USA e-Reader as opposed to a Japanese unit, I can probably release an early version of this patch. Edit: I was talking with Prof9, and he directed me to an old post of his, and I was able to re-activate support for Emerald. It's broken in that none of the text is translated, but it is all present: "Change the byte at 0x02F97E to 0x02", as he said, in an English copy of Emerald, and you'll have virtually full support, for a Japanese e-Reader. Edit 2: So Prof9 looked in No$GBA's debugger, and found the bytes sent that each game needs to connect with each other (And in the process showing my lack of knowledge of No$'s debugger). FireRed now communicates with a USA e-Reader properly. I'm going to play around with it this evening and see what FireRed is capable of working with, including importing various events and seeing what they do. Edit 3: So I've been working with trying to scan in events into FireRed, however, I've hit a brick wall, so to speak. While it does communicate with the e-Reader, it cannot scan in cards for some reason, although I'm quite sure it's simply a region error. Here's what happens: In my USA-enabled version, scanning in cards results in an error: I'm sure that it's just failing a region check, since these are supposed to be used on Japanese e-Readers as opposed to English e-Readers. If I revert to an older version that is only Japan-enabled, I can scan cards in, up to 8 max, however, when it transmits the data, it fails and boots me to the error text (On the FireRed side), and the e-Reader app tells me something of an error occurring I presume. Both of these, I'm sure, are region-related errors, and require editing the actual event cards themselves to correct this error. Edit 4: If anyone wants to try this and try fixing the region errors and try importing to their copies of FireRed, I have here a FireRed 1.0 patch that you can try out. Do note that you cannot properly scan in the files yet, although you can try editing them with Poké-Reader and whatnot. THIS PATCH IS FOR ADVANCED USERS, IT DOES NOT FUNCTION CORRECTLY AS OF YET. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34957059/GBA%20Events/FireRed%20eReader%20Patch%20Beta%201.ips This should also work if you want to apply this to an existing hack, although it uses a few bytes for the translated text at 0x800000. You can apply this to a clean ROM though and edit it for your needs, but it is far from properly functional as of yet. To set up your e-Reader ROM with FireRed, use these instructions: 1. Use No$GBA for this. Load your edited FireRed (Or Emerald ROM if using the one-byte adjustment) into the FIRST MACHINE (This option is at the bottom of the ROM Select window) 2. If using Emerald, at this point, use a Japanese Card-e+ ROM, or if using FireRed with the patch, use a USA e-Reader ROM. Start this ROM in the SECOND MACHINE. 3. Download and extract the files from this event pack. It contains almost all trainer events for Ruby, Sapphire, FRLG, and Emerald. You will need 7zip for this. 4. Before starting a card scan, we need to generate calibration data for the e-Reader to scan the "cards". Using the 2nd Machine controls (You'll have to edit your controls settings and set up the 2nd machine, making sure they DO NOT conflict with the first machine running FireRed), select "Scan Card" from the e-Reader main menu (It will be the 1st option if using a Japanese e-Reader ROM). No$GBA will then pop up a message, and will reset the e-Reader ROM. 5. Go to "Mystery Gift" on FireRed and follow the instructions displayed. In the case of Emerald, from the main menu, select the second option, then the second option again. The background should show two Gameboy Advance units linking with a large blue box overlaying it. If it shows a GameCube, you're on the wrong menu option. In Emerald, select "Mystery Gift, and press A three times. The text will be garbled, as it's untranslated Japanese and the game does not show Japanese characters correctly, but it functions correctly nonetheless. 6. Once it shows the message to scan a card into the e-Reader, the other Gameboy will have a screen in which there is a Pikachu, and options for A and B. A tells the device to open up for card scanning, and B will ask you if you want to exit the application. To select a card, simply go to "File", then to "Load e-Reader Dotcode", then select one of the event RAW files. This is about as far as you can get though, nothing is transferred to the games as it errors out on either end, depending on the game you use right now. Only use this patch if you're willing to dig into this and try getting this working. Edit 5: So today has mostly been about the localisation aspect of this project, including fixing regional issues with the e-Cards, including translating any text. The FRLG Battle cards, when scanned without the FRLG application running (AKA using "Scan Card" from the main menu) in the Japanese version shows you this: I used a mix of machine translation, as well as my own knowledge of the language, and came up with this unofficial localisation (Edit: Got some input on the translation and adjusted it as necessary): It's coming along rather decently, and I'm slowly working to fix these regional issues. I'm not sure what's causing the issue though.
  16. Shouldn't be too hard if Mystery Events aren't region/language locked (which they probably are). As an aside note, it appears the e-Card was ONLY given away in North America (Toys R Us and Nintendo Power for the US, while I assume Canada got it JUST through Nintendo Power but I don't know since I'm in the US), which is a rare case of Japan not getting the better deal.
  17. Well, if you could just transfer the Regi dolls to a different save. If I'm not mistaken, I was able to scan the cards into that save twice. I only scanned in each one, one time. It might be possible to scan in 2-3 Regi dolls of each if you want. I never tried. I'd be more than happy to share anything and everything I have. I just have absolutely no idea how I could possibly go about doing so. The Regi dolls are simple as can be. (If I'm not mistaken.) You scan them in. Hit A on the one you want to transfer. Then just hit A on the Ruby/Sapphire save and you game should receive them. Once again, I think the berry is the exact same way if I'm not mistaken. Scan the berry and hit A, then hit A on Ruby. That terrible video I showed before shows the video from the Ruby perspective (Slightly) and an HD view of the E-reader perspective.
  18. I don't know about the berries yet. I still haven't tested them. I could do it after work tomorrow but I don't have any more Ruby saves to mess with. If anybody has a Ruby save with the Mystery Gift activated, I could just write it to my Japanese cart and scan in the dolls and one of the berries. EDIT: I have all of these things. I'm a collector though. Maybe I'm a rare case here? A collector as well a seeker of knowledge. Though, I think it's safe to say. Unlike most collectors, I value knowledge FAR more that some BS trade value. You asked for it, here it is! http://www.mediafire.com/download/jnj32tps25oggtm/JapanesePokemonRubyNutpea.sav A Japanese Pokemon Ruby that has had the Nutpea Berry scanned in! You talk to Norman and he gives you the berry. As for a save before and after the Mystery Gift. You should be able to use the previous save I uploaded (with the Decoration Present) as the before file and this one as the after. I have every one of the English E-cards and a decent stack of the Japanese ones so if there's anything more I can do to help in any way, please let me know. I will do my best. http://i.imgur.com/PzCEFzS.png This is interesting. I've been wondering what would happen if you scanned in a Japan exclusive E-reader berry into a Japanese game and wrote the save to an English cart. Apparently this happens. Nutpea isn't Japan exclusive but this is still interesting to me. I just loaded up the Japanese save in VBA to make sure it was the right save and I'm incredibly glad I did.
  19. Thanks to the Eon Ticket e-Card you mentioned I also recovered the Event for Ruby & Sapphire. So far I was only able to dump the scripts of the Japanese and the US versions. The bad thing about the Ruby and Sapphire Mystery Events is actually that the scripts of them is nowhere to be found inside the roms. I think we're unlikely to recover this event for all languages, except if we're somehow able to get save files of these.
  20. Thank you so much! What hardware do you have? It's been a long time since I read this. Is it just a Japanese E-Reader and the Japanese cards or did you print them out?
  21. This save is mine: http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/gamecube/save/pokemon_colosseum_eu_a.gci 100% completed and legit, spanish language. You can't play story mode in any other language outside the one it was started on, but you can use colosseum save editor to change the save's language setting, which I guess would allow you to set colosseum to other languages. By the way, great research. Can you save between the card is read and the battle is started? Or can you repeat those battles without scanning the cards? I should try this with dolphin, the recent changes to GBA connectivity allow to receive jirachi and transfer pokemon, maybe it will work with e-reader too. ps: the other Eur save at gamefaqs is just a converted USA savegame, it won't correctly work with PAL colosseum.
  22. I will send these later to you. But the problem is that we might never be able to collect all of them and with those I dumped alone we're not able to support all of the game versions. And even if we have all of them, we couldn't support all of the games. That's why the scripts I posted are so important. So I think an Wonder Card Editor should be on top of the list... I can give you the alpha version of lostaddicts's tool if needed. It's not working yet and just UI, but it can give you a feeling about what we would like to have for a Tool. You can also see pictures of it in the Thread... The official Wonder Cards we already have you can see on the list in the first post... A lot of them are still missing like the UK, the French and the Spanish Aurora Tickets for example. We have an UK one that was downloaded by gldsun on Emerald but the FireRed one would have been more important so it's a pity we don't have this one... Btw. one thing I always forgot to ask you guys... I think there's a chance that we might be able to get the french Aurora Ticket. As you can see in this video, he has one downloaded on his french LeafGreen version. It would be cool if someone could ask gldsun if he could dump a save file for us. In Ruby & Sapphire the very first receiver (who received it at an Event or via e-Card Reader) gets the Ticket from the father in Petalburg City. Just like BlackShark already mentioned the Scripts gets terminated by a killscript command at the end of the Script when the text ends. So after saving the game 2 times the Script is lost forever... The "Mixing Record"-feature works differently, there's a counter for it and everyone you mix records with (when you're the 1st Player) receives one after mixing records. This works as long as the counter falls to 0.
  23. The only way to be able to not worry about nintendo updates is to downgrade to 9.2 and use a custom firmware, either with or without arml9loaderhax. If correctly set up, you don't need Arm9LoaderHax to prevent updating your 9.2 system (which is a long process were you can brick your 3DS, the possibility is really low if you use opthelper, which makes sure everything is ok before any real attempt). Of course if a child is to use the console or the boot failures are a nuisanse arm9loaderhax is a better option. The dangerous process is still the downgrade (again, pretty low brick rate with the correct tools and making sure you have the correct files (and all of them) in the sd card). I think there are homebrew options to keep playing online while not being in the latest firmware. Given pokémon games haven't had an update for a very long time, your main concern should be e-shop and other game updates if nintendo updates firmware and you want to stay in 11.0 (unless they can't patch SmileBasic, but they have already gone the "update or you can't run the game" way brefore). Of course with a hardmod you don't have to worry about bricking as long as you have a working nand backup.
  24. Ok, seems like time to try feeding some info into this thread. I know this seems a long wait, but we want the OFFICIAL events. If you only want the legit pokemon, one can do so with Morpheo's codes, then erase the wondercard. The result is exactly the same as with the official one. For eon ticket you can just put your savegame on the USA rom and use the eon ticket e-card, or mix records with a usa game with the eon ticket e-card if you want to keep the savegame clean. As axjpkm stated, all this delay and keeping the wondercard algorythm closed has the only purpose of minimizing the chances of getting faked wondercards contributed. This doesn't mean we can't get fooled, but now that we are only missing 6 events (two if not counting different versions of USA mistyc ticket we are missing) the chances are lower. Anyone with enough ASM skills could get what is needed, and it actually has been done before, but no one made it public. My personal opinion is that by providing a way to fully customize wondercards people won't feel the need to go and fake them. I doubt anyone will go trough the trouble of asm reverse engineering the checksum function just to scam us (or make profit trough ebay or something), but if the algorythm is available it would only need a basic coding knowledge to make fake wondercards. I haven't worked on the actual tool for a while since we are just waiting for the missing tickets (even though I expect bugs to appear, but overall it should do it's job with no problem), but I guess I can tell all of you that the nds(original/lite) and gc/wii injection tools have already been coded. They are basic and simple, but do the job. Also, I recently (two days ago) got a spanish FRLG savegame with Aurora ticket from the actual event, the one we already had was received by sending the cartridge to nintendo spain back when the service was still running. The wondercards are exactly the same, so I bet it was the same machine as in the events. And I don't remember if I already posted this, but technically speaking I'm pretty sure USA mistyc tickets could be received in european cartridges, even for european emerald, which would have had a narrow ~36h window from european release to fly to the USA event and receive the wondercard, but it still makes those events probably legit in european languages other than english. This is based in the following: - We know the USA aurora ticket distro device is compatible with european games (english WC is sent) - Non-jap game can send the wondercard (if edited to be shareable) to any non-jap game, regardless of language (WC text and script remains in original language, but the point is that the transfer is not region locked). Of course a mistyc ticket distribution device would be the best to confirm this, but we don't have one and doesn't seem to be anyone on the net that owns one.
  25. In terms of the game/Pokemon itself? I don't know jack about what the rest of these guys are doing. You basically start up the program and it deposits a Zigzagoon into your party. You can deposit as many as you like. The game needs a working battery though. Think of it as similar to the Wishmaker Jirachi in terms of setup and being deposited but you can do in infinitely. As for the patch, I assume it just writes it to the cartridge itself. I think I read on Bulbapedia something like this. After about a year or 100 hours of playtime, the game goes into some kind of dead zone for a year. The berry fix patch basically just moves the internal date forward by a year so the game can go back to working as normal. I'm sure if you search Bulbapedia, you can find a far more coherent explanation. EDIT: I keep forgetting. Before, somebody asked if there were FR/LG and Emerald E-reader cards. There were for Japan. I only have 1 for Japan. I'm gonna scan it in eventually and write the save to an English Emerald and see what happens.
