  1. @Maveon, any saves you have with legit events will be interesting, even if we already got them, so if you can dumo them and upload them (or send via pm if you want to keep the saves private) it would be a really big help. Any information you still remember from the events (when and where) would also be apreciates. It would be awesome if you really have that leaf green Mystic Ticket, since one of those is the most relevant event we are still missing. About the special berries you want: you can emulate the e-reader, both usa and jap, with the berry e-cards. You'll need to use a japanese rom and save for the berries exclusive to japan though if you want to keep it legit. Alternatively, you may just inject the berries into the savegame using the tool I coded. You can injwct jap only berries and use them on USA saves too, of course if you do this depends on what you consider legit, but you could trade your tiranitar to a japanese save and use the berries on the japanese game, so it makes not that much difference for the pokemon, so it ia up to you. ps: if you want legit, real hardware stuff, no emulator involved, I'm sure HaxAras will be able to help
  2. I think now would be a good time to mention that in addition to custom Mystery Gifts, I can ALSO test custom Mystery Events via e-Reader. I've had a printer than can print dot codes since August. So far I'm limited to English e-Reader, but last week I won a Japanese Card e-Reader+ from an eBay seller in Japan so that should be here in a few weeks. I'd mention this in Team Fail's e-Reader thread, but it's dead at the moment. Speaking of e-Reader, since so many Japanese cards have been converted for use with English games (Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3) or just made from scratch (these custom dual-region Mod Cards for Mega Man Battle Network 4-6), I feel someone should convert the Eon Ticket card to Japanese. I know there are Takasan's tools, but still. EDIT: Yesterday I ordered a Japanese copy of Emerald from an eBay seller here in the US (that also put in a new battery as well!). I expect that'll be here at the end of the week so I'll be able to test custom Japanese Wonder Cards soon.

  4. @ Invader TAK : Yes this is for the e-reader data. Since we have no idea how the password system works, all i can do is a wonder card that injects the e-reader data as well.
  5. Great news! Not only did my Japanese Emerald come in, so did my Card e-Reader+!
  6. I haven't made any back ups of saves before each shadow Pokemon I probably should have lol. To get the e-Reader to work you just to need turn it on and go to the menu and go to "connect to gamecube" and when talking to the person at the counter in the e-Reader room on the left, they will recognize your GBA connected with the e-Reader and save some data to the e-Reader, now your ready to scan the e-cards/raw files. Remember when trying this you need the e-Reader Plus Rom (J). Hope that sort of explains it for you.
  7. Trainer Wonder Cards will just handle the e-Reader data and not the password part, right?
  8. This is 100% correct and worded much better than I could have ever put it. I was skimming through the tool earlier today. I couldn't figure out a few things. Stuff like the E-reader berries required files to be loaded. (Thanks to BlackShark for posting those. I have the English cards (minus a couple promo's but not all the Japanese one yet.) I think the wonder mail/wonder cards did as well. Are there no official wonder cards loaded into the tool? I want them more for the novelty of getting to see them in my actual carts. I have no interest in creating my own. Another thing I was wondering about. With the different tickets being region locked. I loaded in an Emerald save and certain events were blocked for certain languages. Will there ever be a way to have the tool scan any ticket into any save? I know people don't consider various tickets in the wrong language to be legit. But as far as my collection goes (gen 3 living dexes in every language) it's not a problem for me. For my personal collection, as long as the Pokemon were generated in-game (on the islands), I don't care how the tickets were obtained. Eventually I'll get different copies of Pokemon Colosseum and XD: from various regions but I'd also like a way to get these island Pokemon. I'd normally just find some Action Replay codes and backup my saves, write them into an English cart and then restore them to the original region. But this would be quicker. I'm more of a preservationist. My interest is in making sure as many of these old events are preserved as possible.
  9. 10. Ok, what's exactly not working with the 0.1c? Pleasetell me Game (RS, E, FRLG): Region: Ticket: Wooops, I had the file in my sd card, I though I removed the code checking for the ini, the modification doesn't need the file at all, next update will remove the need for that file. When you record mix: Eon ticket item is added. Flags for the event are set. The one distributed in japan: Sets a flag that enables an in-game event. This in game event (at the 2nd floor at the pokemon center) in turn enables the flags for the eon ticket event and provides the eon ticket item. Sets the eon ticket as the "sareable" item via record mixing. So, with the official event, you can record mix emerald with other games to get the ticket on those games. Also, the save has the in-game eont ticket event flag set, which is something really technical but for me it triggers the savegame "illegal" if made on a non-japanese region. Jap wondercards aren't compatible with non-jap games, they have a different format due to character encoding. The e-reader was deliverately blocked, so in my opinion they are not legal in any way, but I agree it's fun to mess with these things. There has been research, done with those 3 missing pokemon, it can be done with emulators on any region right now, I can't find the thread though. There were even some savegames to get those last shadow pokemon.
  11. Should work with vba-m and dolphin. Since you are on it, might you keep a save before capturing each of the 3 shadow pokemon? Loading that save in each language of the game should give us the pokémon for each language. Since the savefile trainer can be edited, having those save files would be the easiest way to get those extra shadow pokémon, since if I correctly understood you can save after reading the e-card before the shadow pokémon battle. Also good for those who like soft-resetting for natures and such. Only the JAP ones would be really legit though, but accessible to everybody.
  12. I vote to distribute all 3. I have the actual E-reader card and it allows you to send all 3. I think it might even allow you to do it more than once. One small issue I found with the events feature. I added a copy of my Spanish Ruby save to the tool so I could add the events and upload it elsewhere. I'd already activated the events on my save already in the tool so it claimed they'd already been used on the copy. (The only difference between the 2 saves is one has my living Pokedex and the copy doesn't.)

  14. Bad news, everyone. Mystery Events are language locked. So there goes the whole "use the EON Ticket e-Card" idea.

  16. Good to know. I just don't want anyone I share Trainer Wonder Cards with to be confused at the mention of passwords that are useless. In fact, I normally don't care about unused events, but I'm making an exception for these Trainer Wonder Cards since they're the same as the e-Reader Trainers for R/S (IE, a "for fun" thing that won't affect anything major).

However, I get another error - Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted or unreadable. I scan and repair the drive which ends up emptying my GBA_Backup folder of the .SAV file which seems to indicate that there is a problem with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  18. The existence of these Wonder Cards is already long confirmed. Hints about it can be found on archived websites ect. Here for example you can get informations about the PCJP04 Eggs: http://web.archive.org/web/20040319200750/http://www.pokemon.co.jp/event/0324egg/index.html It's all in Japanese so for some people here it should be hard to understand. But this site gives information about how to prepare your game to download these Eggs via the Mystery Gift-feature. Regarding the Wish Eggs you can find informations here: http://web.archive.org/web/20050204071332/http://www.pokemon.com/events/index.asp?articleID=585 I was told that Gold Ursaring received many Eggs by always tossing the Wonder Card and downloading another one. Most of the Wish Eggs you can find in the Trading Scene (at Neoseeker ect.) are from him. The reason why he doesn't has a Wish Egg Wonder Card anymore is because he downloaded a Mystic Ticket after this Event. Another hint can still be found at the official japanese website of Nintendo: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/nom/0504/1_2/ This confirms that the PokéPark Eggs were downloaded as Mystery Gift as well. I think I don't need to explain much about this. The cool thing is that this site even shows the Wonder Card of this Mystery Gift. Another strong indicator is the "Uncommon GBA" (A-B-D-E ect.) PID Type, because it indicates that the Eggs were generated ingame. The Script propably was very similar to the Prototype Script (Pichu Egg with Surf) which we found inside the ROMs. The "regular" Event Pokémon however have the "Common GBA Event" (B-A-C-D) Type. Now some people who have PokéPark Eggs might wonder why their Eggs have the Common GBA Event Type. The reason for this is that the PokéPark Event was a very unique one since it had two different ways to be downloaded. One of them was as a Mystery Gift. (FireRed LeafGreen & Emerald only) And another one via Nintendo DS Download Play, this way they also could guarantee compatibility to Ruby & Sapphire.

  20. That is entirely incorrect. I have the Decoration Present card, English and Japanese Emerald versions, E-readers and whatever else I'm forgetting to mention. Scan Decoration Present into Japanese R/S/E (I honestly can't remember if you can scan it into Emerald) Mix records to transfer it from a Japanese Ruby to a Japanese Emerald using the Mauville city decoration trader. Then mix records between the Japanese Emerald and the English Emerald using the same trader. I may be the first English player or one of to get legit Regi dolls on the English games. I can provide proof that I have all these thins as well as a video showing the process needed to transfer legit dolls. I also uploaded a Japanese Ruby save on the thread for this project with the Regi dolls inserted. ---- When you were talking about the Japanese Old Sea Map. It made me wonder if I could just write my non-Japanese roms to my Japanese save, insert the Old Sea map and get the Mew on my Japanese cart, back it up and restore it back to my non J saves. As well as just restore it before I catch it to get non J Mew. What would be the legality of that? Edit: I don't like making claims without providing proof. So here it is. Picture of all my stuff. http://imgur.com/a/UEWJq Here's a terrible video of the Decoration Present being scanned in. I can make a video of the transfer but I'd have to record one game with a webcam and the other using my Hauppauge.
  21. E-card trainer editor is fully done, seems to work well. Aparently you can't make trainer pokemon shiny (I used a-save's pid generation tool to test, male/female pid worked). Everything can be edited. The only detail is that the Pokemon and moves words from the easy chat system apparently don't follow the same logic as all the other categories, so those words are basically broken right now. Which tool did you use to decompress the raw files? EDIT: ok, nedcenc is the tool Could you explain the merge process a little more? Getting raw into savs is really interesting. Also, the regi dolls present probably has the ROM code somewhere in it, meaning it can probably be easily modified for other regions... but for what I've seen what it does is send a script to RS, then it gets executed in the mnistery event screen and kills itself when it's done doing its job. Also, I've looked a little into it and the trainer structure is easily found in the decompressed vpk from a trainer card (using Team Fail's tool to extract it). The only difference is that it doesn't have the checksum in the vpk file (I guess it's because the vpk itself has a checksum for its data?). With Team Fail's tool making a save with a custom trainer is really easy (still needs hex editing though). I may add a export as decompressed vpk button by using an already decompressed vpk file as "template" to make the process easier. May including a decompressed vpk file in the program infringe copyright? Also, for the one asking about conversion to dotcodes: in caithsith page you can read the following: - Nintendo E-Reader dotcode bin maker - A tool to make a set of Nintendo E-Reader dotcode bin files, given a vpk file. Source code is included - VBA 1.7.2 e-reader: this VBA can load either bin or raw files. When loading bin files you will be prompted to save it as a raw dotcode. EDIT: for bin<-> raw conversion there's nedcenc.exe As you can see raw dotcodes can already be generated, the process is not as difficult. With a couple batch files it's a matter of drag and drop (compress vpk -> convert to bin -> load in vba to save as raw)
  22. I just used a modded Wii, Pal GBA, Japanese e Reader and the Colosseum battle e cards. I tried printing the cards multiple time but they wouldn't read in the scanner for some reason.
  23. About the e-card data. It is different to the wondercards as far as I know. The Eon Ticket e-card doesn't have a wondercard and no checksum. Also it is saved to another location which is in section 3. I successfully changed that text without validation needed. The e-Reader trainer data in section 0 is validated by a checksum which is very similar to the one that's used for the save. It is a 32 bit sum of the data summed up as half-words (2 bytes). The e-Reader berries are in section 4, they should be validated as you can see in this thread http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?31210-Index-numbers-of-the-eReader-berries&p=171472&viewfull=1#post171472 I haven't looked into it yet. So I don't know if it could help with wondercard checksums.
  24. Hi everyone. Long time lurker here. Recently I decided to embark on the project to create my ultimate (as legal as posible) Shinny Tyranitar. The idea is to breed it on emmerald and migrate it through every gen to collect with it all that it possibly can (conest ribbons, Colossium, Battle Revolution, pokethlon, etc.). Because of this I've been reading alot on gen III stuff, about creating the best pokeblocks to max out contest stats and all that it implies on the use of the e-reader. However because it's 2016, alot of the hardware necesary to acomplish this it's almost impossible to get, so my only option left is to emulate the whole pokeblock ordeal. That's the reason that brought me here, the search for some Ruby/Sapphire saves that contain the special e-reader berries to use for blending the ultimate pokeblocks. As I read this thread I began to remember that on 2004/2005 I attended to the distribution of the Mystic Ticket and Aurora ticket on my country, and although I didn't get the aurora ticket on my emmerald (the distribution here was on 2004), I did get both tickets on my Leaf Green, and best of all because of the way I play the games, both are unused, so I can still try to catch Ho-oh, Lugia and Deoxys. So what I'm asking is: Are you folks interested on my Leaf Green save? By any chance someone could have and share a Ruby/Sapphire save with the special berries I'm searching? I assure you both saves are unhacked, (my Emmerald has the Eon ticket unused too) if you wish I could search on my stuff for the memorabilia I got on both events (shadow lugia tcg giant card, some tcg mats, the tickets for said events, etc.)
  25. @BlackShark: Great find!!! I knew that this text had to be somewhere in the rom and waited to be found... Since we now have the foreign dialogs I don't think that it will be a problem to translate the english script to include them. By the way did anyone know except from the script what other data should be injected in the sav file in order to make the event available? Also maybe we can take this further by investigate the possibility to edit the EON Ticket e-Reader sav file in order to create foreign language e-reader sav files or even to create e-card binary files for each one of the languages...
