1. The Snorlax I'm certain can be shiny if you SR long enough like a normal encounter. Lucario though, I doubt it since its IVs and nature are fixed.
2. I am not sure about the skill levels of your friends but Dream Eater is seldomly used in battles for one very reason: Pokemon switch often. Even in 3v3, it is too situational. That also applies to your Articuno: Mind reader + Sheer Cold is only good if you can trap the opponent Pokemon before even attempting it, and assuming Articuno survives one hit before firing it (it is usually bulky enough, but some things hit it too hard). It can be a win condition as a last Pokemon or something though, if you time it right. But generally I would advise against those. Back in the old days some Snorlax carried Surf just for Rhydon/Golem. I think they are weak enough for a OHKO or 2HKO from it. If you tried breeding some Pokemon, they can get some nifty egg moves to help out. Unless Ditto is one of your favourite mons or something, I am going to say it is very hard to use Ditto in this game. One whole turn is costly to try and transforming. If you have Pokemon Black/White (2) with Hidden Ability Ditto it is a different story, but currently I would advise against it. Your Dugtrio, if it has Arena Trap, will serve you very well provided you know when and where to use it. If you see your friend with a very susceptible mon to Dugtrio's trapping, you'll know when to employ its service. I only had a very cursory look on the Pokemon you plan on bringing, but some of it seems okay. 3v3 is very fast paced, so there is little time for stalling, which also means Recycle is a bit hard to use. Maybe a Lum Berry would do, even if you could Rest off status, sometimes a timely paralysis/burn can be too annoying to waste a turn on Rest. Just keep that in mind. Focus Blast from Gengar won't OHKO Snorlax certainly, but it will weaken it enough for something else to finish it off, if it times it correctly, so beware of that. I know it's 3v3, but a direct hit will not be pretty. One question, but how would you deal with Machamp should your friend bring one? He's a tough mon to break, especially in this game where a Payback on a switch is double damage, so there goes your Gengar and 100% accurate Dynamicpunch is a nightmare.
3. Your set is fine, but I do not really like wasting one turn to recycle Chesto Berry because it gives the opponent ample time to catch on to what you are doing and will use that turn to take advantage. I would usually just place Sleep Talk there, but that is also RNG dependent and it can also potentially be a waste of turn too. Just something to think about there. I'm guessing Fire Punch is mainly for the likes of Skarmory or Scizor, when Earthquake can usually hit Steel Pokemon harder. That's fine. Or maybe that TM26 is too valuable to use on Snorlax I suppose. Body Slam hits Alakazam and the rest no problem. For Gengar, Fire Punch hits okay, but it is a dicey battle against Gengar because it can use strange things, if your friend is clever enough. What I would be concerned about is having a proper team that can cover each other in the case you hit a stumbling block. Do not expect Snorlax to be your win condition, because it still needs big threats like Fighters, Rhydons and Ghosts taken care of.
4. I believe you can upload images to outside hosts such as imgur and use the [/img] tags to get things done without attachments. We will make a new forums for 7th generation soon, I hope. I guess I can say I really like the owl and I don't dislike the seal, unlike many people I know. I think I'm too partial towards water types or something. It is also the first time since Bulbasaur where the first stage starter has a double typing. I wonder what they will turn out to become.
5. Every time I look at that game it feels like wasted potential. It's an okay game in its own right and had some interesting quirks about it, but I felt they were able to do more but they did not. A lot of the content felt lacking and could have easily be expanded on. The story was mediocre and most of the characters were bland and uninteresting. The visuals were amazing though, I will give you that. The beginning of the game up until the 3rd gym had some nice pacing. However, after that, the game went much too quickly and I was intentionally playing it slowly and realised I ended up overleveled for the Elite 4 for some reason. It could have been polished more but the entire game just screams "incomplete" or "rushed development". That's how I see it. And what do you mean "copied red and blue"? It is sad but I do not think they will ever touch on this game ever again. So remains Poke-France in mediocrity, and will always remain incomplete.
6. Seems this is global because I got Korean ones. Unfortunately like that Bank Celebi it is unable to be soft resetted for. Well thank you very much for my Calm Regirock, Careful Regice and Timid Registeel
7. Is it even confirmed to be a new generation? People are debating over that. If so, that does not bode well for Gen 6 for only having XY and ORAS. I mean an interrim solution would be to add a new forums for Sun & Moon under the 6th generation category and move it to 7th if it is confirmed to be a new generation later. But so far, there is little to discuss about it since there is very little information revealed about it. We can wait a bit more for actual discussions to occur.
8. Yeah that question was for King Impoleon, seeing he was the one who wanted to register. Also Korean SSN and the electronic PIN number is for the MMO games. Looking into the Pokemon things, it's just age 14 and up and I do not see anything requiring the SSN, just phone number and address it seems. I'm sure all of that is linked to the SSN anyways so whatever. Our events are mostly tourney winner Pokemon carbon copies, copies of some Japanese events and some exclusive to serial codes purchased from guidebooks or movie theatre tickets, which isn't accessible to all. I wish they would utilise that Global Distribution thing more! I only have a Torchic, the Vivillon with the green pattern and the universal Serial Code Giratina as actual events.
9. Sorry, in Korea everything is linked to the citizen's Social Security Number which every citizens are required to have. It links them with their personal information and such. This was to discourage hacking in MMOs and such because any accounts made in such games would directly be linked to the said perpetrator. We are kind of inclusive like that. So yeah, those kind of stuff you are looking at is illegal. If you are under the age of 19 (Korean age), you cannot register yourself: you need parents to do that. Best chance you'd get in is asking some Korean citizen who will willingly allow you to use his info and such. Sorry, that will not be me. If you live in Korea as a foreigner or something, somebody would generally lend a hand. This website requires address and phone number, and if you go to the next step it will ask you to verify from your phone and such. I have not actually registered in the Global Link at all, so that's really speculation on my part. I'll look into it, but I'm 100% positive that those are required information. Yeah, I also dislike that. I just registered BattleNet in US/Canada region instead of South Korea because of that and my Starcraft II still works thankfully. EDIT: I tried it out, it requires either one of cell or home phone number to register. The phone number is a typical Korean number so you cannot really just pick one because it is most likely linked to a person's KSSN. Honestly, Korean game has little you'd want either. The US/EUR/JPN versions get more support than the Korean games. I think the Korean games are generally myopically set to cater to those living in this sad half of the peninsula. Our 3DS do not even have theme support yet, which makes me sad. They did join a little late in the whole game thing. Just curious why would you want to register for the Korean PGL? Out of principle, I will not register for the PGL for now. Maybe one day when I feel like getting into the whole scene, but I never felt the need to do so yet. I'm sorry. Also blackshark, is that for the children under the age of 14 or the general registration option? Either way it will end up the same, I'm sure.
10. I'm looking through the official Korean Pokemon website for this 20th anniversary event thing but it seems that there is no information about it whatsoever. It seems like every other countries except Korea is doing it. My brother in the US has Mew already. Anyhow, if there are other outlets with information, I'd like to know because the official website says nothing.
11. It says for those who are watching the film, you will get a "Hoopa & Arceus Gift Guide" which will presumably have the serial code inside. Unfortunately, it is not universal serial code unlike Giratina. It also is not available in small town areas in Korea because they do not have movie theatres that play these either. Such is my case. Anyways details: Hoopa Level: 50 Ability: Magician Learnset: - Hyperspace Hole - Psychic - Astonish - Nasty Plot Item: Focus Sash Ribbon: Wish Ribbon Ball: Cherish Ball Arceus Level: 100 Ability: Multitype Learnset: - Judgment - Blast Burn - Hydro Cannon - Earth Power (yes there is no Frenzy Plant) Item: Silk Scarf Ribbon: Wish Ribbon Ball: Cherish Ball
12. I just received this gift from Mystery Gift. I will edit this post to write down the details. I only reset twice so far and I believe the Attack stat may always be maxed, I am unsure. I will do more experimentation later, but the other stats are randomising. It comes with the Wish Ribbon, is Fateful Encounter, and comes from "Pokemon Movie". The card flavour text: 기라티나 선물 포켓몬영화를 보러 와 주셔서 감사합니다! 소포는 포켓몬센터에 있는 배달원에게 받으십시오! "Giratina Present Thank you for watching Pokemon Movie! Receive the package from the delivery girl from the Pokemon Center!" The text from receiving the Giratina from the serial code input: 기라티나 선물 찾아라! 수수께끼의 선물 포켓몬!에 참여해 주셔서 감사합니다. 후파와 함께 기라티나를 "링의 소환~!" "Giratina Present Find it! Thank you for participating in "The mysterious gift Pokemon"! Together with Hoopa "ring summon" Giratina" ... whatever ring summon means. It must be some gimmick of Hoopa.
13. Finally, a code I can actually redeem. I can fill in the information from that website. Giratina Serial Code: 1223MOVIE Level: 100 Ability: [Another Form] Telepathy [Origin Form] Levitate Learned Moves: Aura Sphere, Draco Meteor, Shadow Dive, Iron Head Held Item: Griseous Orb Nature: Brave [The code will be able to be redeemed starting from 26 November. If you enter the serial code wrong 10 times, then you will be unable to enter serial codes. In this case, you may try again after 24 hours have passed] Page also says it can be redeemed until January 31 2016. I may have gotten some of the English names wrong, I keep forgetting because I admittedly have not touched the game in a while. Sorry about that. I will put this in the original post later. Somebody fix the names up if I get them wrong.
14. This game is notorious for a terrible level curve. Be prepared for a lot of grinding if you have a party with over one Pokemon. Even with just one Pokemon you will most likely be underleveled by the time you reach the game's final boss. At least this is my experience: from the many times I have replayed this game and fighting every single trainers, it was very easy to be underleveled even if you were going on the right course. Also it depends on what legendaries you have: the Pokemon that the AI uses are limited in pool as there are only around ~250 Pokemon in the first half of the game. You will get one of the legendary birds depending on the version (Ho-oh in HG, Lugia in SS), but even they have trouble with some Elite 4, such as Bruno's Machamp, whose Stone Edge will never miss Ho-oh and will most likely one shot it. I did not use legendaries, but being underleveled, I relied on some X items to get me through.
15. The fact they updated both XY and ORAS is telling that it is mostly for some online function. Why XY all of a sudden? There is probably some minor 'bug fix' or whatever, they always say "a more fun gaming experience". Or it is a forced update to prevent people from injecting and the joke is there is nothing that changed. It would have been cool if it was "allowing new megas to get into XY", but nope. Of course that would not happen. Just the same patch note as last time: "a more fun gaming experience". EDIT: Wait, last patch note said "bug fixes" so it did the whole pokeball animation/ Vivillon sprite placement, but this one just says "fun gaming experience" along with "it is required to patch to go online". I am starting to think it really is a forced update.
16. Oh is that so? I just checked the Korean site too. It is indeed a mistranslation: I guess it is a move tutor in ORAS anyways so it should not matter much (except I do not own ORAS).
17. It is well known Gamefreak hates Ice types or think they're very broken. Freeze Skin is probably the better ability competitively though, considering Blizzard was nerfed for no reason. Until Hail weather actually has a practical use (Ice Body stalling does not exist anymore thanks to the turn limitations), this mon will probably have little use objectively. It is still something I want though. Good thing it comes with Magnet Rise, I don't really want to transfer a tutored Magnet Rise mon from Gen V just to get it as an egg move.
18. No Frenzy Plant? Why the hate on Grass? Finally an Arceus with the Gen 6 pentagon will arrive!
19. Did you also clear the cache and cookies and history of your 3DS browser? If that doesn't work, also try to initialise the data of the browser too.
20. If you are not using anything special and using a regular 3DS (not new 3DS) you're most likely sysnand. Try clearing cache and cookies and history and initialise save data in the browser first.
21. For PkHex, use wine and install .NET Framework 4.0 and run it directly through wine instead of making a "Wine.app"
22. Hello and welcome to PP. Please post any legality inquiries in the Legality Forums. We can take a look at your mon over there and see what is wrong. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?40-Pok%E9mon-Legality Thank you.
23. >>197295 (OP) >>197017→ See if the thread linked helps you.
24. Even though Autotomise can be set as a relearn move, there's really no point as Aegislash has Autotomise as default. Shadow Ball is a TM move and TM moves do not pass as egg moves anymore. Just place its four egg moves that you see in Bulba if you feel like doing this. Apparently you are supposed to generate all the necessary information first, then go generate the encryption constant and then finally generate the PID. Other than Shadow Ball being an egg move I don't see what else may be wrong at the moment.
