  1. While I agree human concentration is better when using a unique screen, many DS games require both screens to play properly. Take for example the Brain age games, the top screen is used to observe the problems and the Touch screen to write the solution. Furthermore, shifting your concentration between the two screens allow the brain to develop better adaptability to different stimulis. Of course pushing it would end up a failure and the game won't be really successful. The game designers aren't really stupid, they test their games, trying to measure and understand how the human sight work, and how much information the memory can gather when trying to look at both screens in a given amount of time. Obviously the designers aren't expecting you to be like this guy : [video=youtube;Ma6MbiaCur8]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ma6MbiaCur8 But they try to make the game enjoyable by most without making the game too easy. The pokethlon is also a good example, where the two screens are linked in such a way where the player can understand what's happening in one of the screens while only looking at one. So, unless you're literally playing two games at once, having two screens isn't really a big deal, it might even be really useful to have them both. This subject is really wide and there are so many examples, but I don't want to deviate from the original discussion. So back to topic, what do you think of this article ? http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a203652/nintendo-ds2-kits-given-to-developers.html
  2. This is the main page : http://users.smogon.com/mingot/rngreporter.htm Good luck!
  3. Let's see, the seed is 88B2F4F4, the frame is 1, the PID is 2 359 763 853, 75% chance of being female, and most importantly that Zigzagoon is a method 4 Pokemon (type4 algorithm in Pokesav) : -Retrieved from http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/emerald_rng_part3 , on 02/18/2010.So yeah, as crazy as it sounds, your Zigzagoon looks legit. I still suggest you wait for confirmation from Sabresite, he'll tell you what that type means.
  4. Fixing them involves using the Time finder functionality of the RNG reporter : Basically, In order to respect the IVPID relationship, the 1st step is to generate "times" for a specific set of IVs, nature, your Trainer ID and secret ID, while specifying the correct method of capturing the Pokemon. For example, Zapdos and Ho-oh are Method K Pokemon. The 2nd step is to copy the seed next to the desired IV spread, and paste it in the Seed (Hex) space in the main window. The 3rd step is to enter all the pkm info in the allocated spaces of the main window (Ivs, nature, ID, Sid,etc.) and hit generate. This will generate a corresponding PID for that pkm in hexadecimal: the 4th and final step is to convert that PID to decimal, in this case, 6E7F498h = 1 853 835 160. Copypaste that PID in Pokesav, fill in the corresponding IVs and your pkm legality will be fixed : Finally, here are your two fixed .pkm files, as legit as the originals : http://www.mediafire.com/file/ycbei1ohgmr/NewZapdos.pkm http://www.mediafire.com/file/zycdmmg0zan/NewHooh.pkm My apologies for posting external links, I'm having issues with attachments on Firefox.
  5. Yeah, one more thing is that a Pokemon has an equal chance of getting either class.
  6. I can trade it to you, I'll PM you once it's ready.
  7. The owner of that program clearly says he's not sharing it, there are better tools you can get by applying in this forum : http://hackromsacademy.forumcommunity.net/?f=5195936 One of the moderators will then approve your application and you'll have access to the various tools the website offers. Btw, If I could rate that video 0 stars i would.
  8. To know which ability is assigned, just check its position in ProjectPokemon Pokédex. If a Pokemon has only one ability and when checked has "ability 2" assigned, then it's obviously hacked.
  9. Simple. If you check the modified Zapdos's PID, you'll notice it's different than the PID of the original Zapdos, while retaining the same IV spread, therefore hacked! As for Ho-Oh, it's the opposite, the PID is the same for both but the IV spreads are different.
  10. A pokemon's ability is determined by one bit included in the DWORD filled with its IV data. If that bit is cleared ( = 0 ), the Pokemon will have its first ability, otherwise if the bit is set (=1), the second ability becomes active. Pokemon who only have 1 ability always have 0 assigned to that bit. Can you be more precise please ? which Pokemon is it and how did you "check" it ? How would that Pokemon have "Ability 2" if it only has one ?
  11. Hi and welcome to the forums, The Acekard 2i requires you have both the .sav and .nds files on the same directory. So after editing and saving, place the .sav file in the same folder as your .nds file and it will be automatically detected. That's all there is to it. And please next time post in the appropriate thread.
  12. Well it has been officially declared that the new game will be a DS title, but the new System could support it as well since both of their release will be at the end of the year.
  13. Pokesav doesn't generate 100% accurate PID because it's much faster than taking into account the correct set of IVs/nature.
  14. On the annoucement page, the Wondermail password 'Let's find the Golden chamber' is incorrect. At the end of the password it should be : 6T&9 not 6t89.
  15. The only way to know that is to actually make the trade.
  16. Ok, to successfully migrate using Desmume. You need to go to Emulation settings, check "Use external BIOS images" and "Emulate SWIs with BIOS images" , then check "Use external Firmware". The release version of Desmume doesn't support flashed Firmware, but the latest svn does. Next, if you're using HG/SS , make sure the ROM is patched with Poryhack's Pal Park hack. Then load the game and save once. Reset and immediately go to "Emulation" --> "GBA slot" and pick the GBA game, which should have a 128k .sav file in the same folder (It's recommended to back it up) . Desmume will force you to reset again, then you'll be able to see "Migrate from GBA game X". After picking the Pokes to Pal Park, Desmume will succesfully write to the GBA .sav file, and you'll be able to catch them. Trying to Pal Park a second time will not work since Desmume somehow corrupted the GBA .sav file, this is where we use the backup and it'll be working again. Good luck. BTW, here's a Shellder PalParked from FireRed : shellder-FR.pkm
  17. Hey Sabre, this is a fished Wailmer that I pal parked from Emerald to Platinum : And here's the .pkm file : Good luck! wailmer.pkm
  18. This is for Pokemon Heartgold, i'm using Acekard 2.1 , a 512 kb RAW .sav file and a DS lite, as soon as i press continue on the main screen the screen goes black and remains in that state. If anyone would know the problem i'd appreciate some help please Never mind I got it working!! I converted the save file from RAW to Acekard 2 and now it's running perfect
  19. Wow Deoxys is in the lead now, but the competition is still exciting .
  20. Oh sorry, for Mac check this website : http://scplugin.tigris.org/ , SCPlugin is the TortoiseSVN equivalent for windows.
  21. You can use TortoiseSVN, which will checkout all the source code without having to download the tarball. Here's the link : http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads
  22. Thanks I guess OP have found his answer now.
