  1. I still need that Avatar to be 49x49 lol. Since it doesn't fit on the other site i frequent.
  2. I am on topic, I am talking about Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
  3. I'm stuck with PSE 8 >.> It's really good, bu I feel like there should be more that I could do, mine is too tailored towards photography. Whenever I'm spriting, I use MS Paint, it's easiest anyway. Anything else I use PSE 8, but I'm gonna see if I can't nab PSCS4
  4. Grass types don't often make great walls imo, what with their weakness to everything.
  5. Dude nothing was easier than Cackletta's Spirit. ~Turn one, Mario eats a Red Hot Pepper, Luigi Heals, Mario dies. Turn Two bring Mario back, he now has permanent super powered attack from the pepper, without the wait, now give Luigi the pepper, and allow him to die, and bring him back. Afterwords, spam Bros attacks, and she'll fall in the next two turns~

  7. Shiny Log~~~ Black Crabby in G/S/C Reverse Colored Paras in FR/LG (Yellow shell, red spots) Mint Treecko R/S/E (I did not SR for this, this is the shiny I am most proud of; I had just started over, and picked Treecko, when it happened)) Black Zubat R/S/E Pink Stunky D/p/pt I might have had more, can't remember really ^^ The shinies have been kind to me over the years.
  8. While they might be cool, they could be so much better, lol. (I am particularly proud of the Ninetales one.) Which is why I would like to know who you guys do the things you do. ^^
  9. @Wraith: I want you to go look at their page for Unknown, as I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they've done (Just not with every type, they only hit the big ones like Electric/Ice/Fighting etc.) What I mean to say by "Caring" is they take a look at it's stats, and say "Okay, this thing is a sweeper, here's the movepool for it, moving on." They look at registeel "Holy balls this thing is bulky, and it gets curse? Winget" Due to this a lot of Pokemon end up getting screened that actually have viable sets, but that's why you can go onto their site and post them. As a newbie you can bet their going to shoot a lot of crap at you, attempting to prove that your set sucks, but if your set is actually viable, then you should have absolutely no problem defending it to the point of at least getting someone to take notice of it's validity. People have "Turned into" that because their lazy. Face, it Smogon weren't around, we'd still have standardized metagame because some pokemon are simply flat-out better than others, but the smart players ignore standardization, they build teams that are good against Pokemon as a whole, not against certain sets. If I make a team specifically designed to counter Tyranitar, Scizor, Heatran, Lucario, Gliscor, Suicune, and my opponent brings in a Dragonite, well have fun, and good luck. The majority of course fall for that trap, but it's not smogons fault really, Smogon just provides the information. It is the players who choose what to use. (and yes, some of their mods are really bad battlers) Lastly, I never get Ninetales right, I always figured it was tails because it has nine of them. Same goes for Victreebel, I assumed it was bell because of it's body shape, it's not that I don't care, it's just that i never paid attention to the spelling of their names. @Gin:I want to start by saying, no, I have NEVER gotten beat by a Crocune. As soon as I see suicune, I just bring in a physical attack, preferably one who resists water, and start spamming my physical moves. 2/3 times it will do nothing, my attacks will keep doing the same thing, while he struggles with his 1/3d chance to do anything at all. As for Heatran, point taken. The Smogon being self-centric bit is true, but if you work hard on it somebody will notice it at least has some merit, and may take a closer look. I think the reason Smogon doesn't include those mechanics, is because they have articles on them, and they expect people to actually read them, lol. ===SABEDIT=== Btw Wraith, I wanted to personaly thank you for that ninetales set. I mmade a bulky variant, with WoW, Toxic, Extrasensory, and Flamethrower. It quite literaly won me the battle in the tournament. Thank you for that.
  10. Perfecto! Thanks. Now I just wish I knew how to make backgroudns like that, lol, those are nice. ===SABEDIT=== Are you sure that the avatar is 49x49? That's the max size for avatars allowed on the site I intended to use this on. (I'm going to use these here as well) So when I use the avatar it comes out kinda squished and whatnot. Oh I just read the second part of the post. So long as the avatar is 49x49, and I can make Gardevoir out clearly, as well as phoenix (Doesn't leave room for much else I know ^^) It'll be fine. Also, who the hell uses a mac these days? Windos 7 rocks.

Don't like it, it's boring. I'm out. lol >.> ===SABEDIT=== I was not aware that there were Rogues in WoW. I assumed that everyone was a Night Elf Mohawk.
  12. Smogon Debate Thread. This is mostly just a discussion topic. It really isn't to get us anywhere, but to allow us to vent our beliefs on this particular subject. Participate if you feel like it. Since this debate will likely take opinion into question, and since people tend to become defensive when their beliefs are under fire, I want to take now to remind you all to try and avoid letting emotions rise. This is a civilized debatey thing. [sprite]109[/sprite] The above, is more or less how the debate was proceeding; however, it was off-topic there, so I moved it here. The second spoiler is my most recent reply, so with that, carry on. Gin edit: Remember. Flaming of other fansites and/or other users will NOT be tolerated. Be careful in this thread: I WILL infract without a warning if you flame! Don't be afraid to post your viewpoint, however.

Well there are things like Magic Barrier. Mages (So long as they take a single cleric route, one of the unique things is you can change up what your character path is as you go, Ie Priest-Warlock-Soul Arbitor) will get Shield, and Mind Barrier, which boosts both of your defenses. Later in levels, they can wear light armor, and wielding wands instead of staffs permits the use of a shield. Mages also get a few other helpful buffs which increases their survivability. (They also get Holy Shield, which is temporary invincibility, a quite broken PvP/Bossing Skill.) Necromancers are the most broken in the game atm, with Crusaders/Destroyers following close behind. Rogues in general suck at everything but PK mode. Luna+ is coming out soon though, and it will "hopefully" solve the balancing issues. Luna is a much more social MMO than anything else, it has matchmaking, guilds, parties and all kinds of other things to give you AND your friends something to do. Regular Events that are pretty sweet, Guild Tournaments, the works. Not only that but it has a friendly community. I personally would recommend it, but if MMOs aren't your thing, then you should stay away, it's pretty grind oriented.
  14. Fine, I'll make a request. I want a a Gardevoir signature. It needs to be no taller than 200 pixels, and can be as wide as you please. The background needs to have a light, airy and cheerful theme to it, but not pink and fluffy. (I suppose the kind of feeling you'd get from a meadow at noon during spring. ~shrugs~) Gardevoir needs to be cheerful. I'd also like to request and avatar, 49x49, meeting roughly the same criteria. The avatar needs to say "Phoenix" While the Signature should say Phoenix Django Fc: (The FC I posted in that one signature; the django one). That's about it I think. Is there any more information I need to give? (Oh yeah, any sort of elegant font is nice, also if possible, I want the signature to have a very dynamic view.)

No PvP is just Nexon's way of saying "We don't feel like balancing the game out, so if we did add PvP, you'd all bitch about [insert class here] being too broken." I personally play Luna Online. It's pretty good, not the best, but good. Free as well, so that's a plus. Very nice skill system (Bigger than maples) and more job classes. 3D as well, which is nice, and PvP Duels are cool too. One of the few drawbacks is translation errors, and occasionally glitches, and PK mode. A Player can go PK Mode and then just start attacking whoever they want to, it's pretty bad because thieves in this game can invisible, sneak up, and attack you. (Mages will be One Shotted most of the time >.>)
  16. Of course. The head honchos over at Smogon recommend the same thing. The sets they provide are only a recommended template at best. Some sets, such as Sub Punch Breloom are without a doubt the best set for that Pokemon. Other Pokemon; however, can feel free to be creative. (Also Wraith, even if Smogon had never existed; then either A) Somebody else would standardize the game, or B) The game would have unwritten standards. Either way, Psychic wouldn't be a very viable move, as the metagame is Steel/Psychic/Dark.) Of course, you have to be careful when being creative. A Specs Gyarados will never work. (Is reflecting upon a time when somebody made a DDing Specs Gyarados set >.>)
  17. The vast majority wont be creative anyways, I see no problems with making it easier for them to be uncreative.
  18. well I played FF-III, that's what got me hooked on the series. It was a VERY cold winter, and an Ice Storm had knocked the power out. I decided to play a game my friend let me borrow, and damn was it great! Afterwords I played I&II, hated II, liked I. Then I played IV, and loved it more than III. I was slightly miffed briefly by not choosing job classes, but the ones they gave me where fine, and Augments were just plain broken. (On my third playthrough, I literally beat most of the game by leaving Auto-Battle on, including the final boss) I would definately pick up 5 and 6, simply to keep on playing the series.

I've played, I made some mages, and some other guys, and then I quit at around level 20. It was just too boring to me. No PvP at all is a massive turn off for any game. What's the point of playing if you can't prove your better than everyone else.
  20. First off: Legendary Pokemon may not breed with anything other than a ditto, and even then only in rare cases. If I'm not mistaken, Spiritomb can breed with others of it's egg-group. Legendary Pokemon are one-of-a-kind in the games. If you use a second Odd-Keystone, you can in fact receive a second Spiritomb. So yeah, definately not legendary. Just somewhat rare.
  21. Well here is my stance on hacking/cheating. I myself use/ have used and ARDS. With me, there comes a line. I will never do anything that the game does not naturally permit. So if the game says I can't walk through walls, then neither will I. Technically Wraith, there is the practice of RNG Abusing which people use to catch themselves flawless Pokemon. With me, I wont give my level 100 Latios perfect Ivs and make it Shiny. Simply because Latios can't have that. Whenever hacking, I will give my Pokemon the best they possibly can, and make it perfectly legal, by all pretense. I love using them to load up on supplies, I can never get enough, and I typically create many teams, so using them to spit them out faster helps tremendously. (Still, I make sure that the PID is legal, and that so are the Ivs) When it comes to other people, I feel that, as long as it's legal, I don't care.
  22. I'm one of the few who likes Paul. I don't quote agree with his method, but I'm definitely down with his attitude. Of course unlike Paul, once I find the Pokemon I'm going to keep, I'll raise it properly, and with respect. (Although I wont go entirely easy on it.)
  23. @Guested: I find it hilarious that most of the upper Smogon battlers don't follow the "BS". Gouki, Jumpman, and Husky have all stated NOT to follow their sets strictly. In fact, it is usually better to create your own, as the bulk of the crowd will use "Standard" sets, and as such, are far too easy to predict. Just sayin'. With this in mind, an upgrade could be in order, simply to allow people freedom of choice. By all means keep the smogon sets in it, but allow for people to build custom sets if they wish to.
  24. I always like to see what people can come up with when it comes to Skarm Bliss.
