I was kind of confused about that myself. :< My manager did mention that we haven't been getting some shipments, which I thought was really strange... though, we did have some really cruddy weather not too long ago that literally stopped all deliveries coming in and going out. Maybe that had something to do with it?

Interesting about the OT on the Celebi, since you work at GameStop you should have gotten the new WIN2011 (02211) distribution cart as opposed to the GAMESTP (02271) one.

It's got the Fateful Encounter flag, so you should be able to do the event so long as nobody else has done it, namely your brother! There were two different Celebis that were hacked that had the Fateful Encounter Flag, so the event could be done before any official distribution. Be sure you walk all the way to the shrine, and talk to it if need be (I haven't done the event myself).

Changing the date on your DS wouldn't cause any corruption of any kind. It's a common trick RNGers use called "Seed Hitting" (off topic)

Basically the way the game runs is different from the Japanese game. The active ARM9 memory offsets are different for each ROM because they are different between languages.

Since B/W still are coming out, you shouldn't expect things to immediately be available, but since we had the Japanese games we have been able to get these "offsets". All that would have to done is find out their new positions in the different languages/versions (+/- a few places).

Another question when I was exporting the code the option there was Japanese, will the code still work on the english game or there a way to change it or something?

That still would have to get researched, it's a add/subtract tweak to the offsets for the code.

Is it Shiny? It's not the spiky ear one, it's the Pikachu Colored Pichu (shiny Pichu). It unlocks the Spiky event in HGSS.

If it isn't a PCP, then you have to receive it on HGSS not DPPt.

They can be flawless, but you are statistically never going to get flawless without RNG. They are as random as a captured wild Pokemon's IVs would be.

When the game generates mystery gift Pokemon, it checks the PID field from the card itself.

PID=0 (unseen, shiny possible) We'll disregard this.

PID=1 (regular Dynamic, no shiny)

PID=/= 0 or 1 => Static

So PID can either be Static or Dynamic.

Static:

Loads the Static PID, (consuming 4 from the RNG seed [normally used for method 1/J/K Pokemon]), and then it takes that same advanced RNG seed to create the IVs.

Dynamic:

Generates a new PID from the Timer and another value (consuming 4 from the RNG seed [normally used for method 1/J/K Pokemon]), and then it takes that advanced RNG seed to create the IVs. As you can see these are two different processes for the creation of PID and IVs, but don't expect the Dynamic PID to be 'random' to change the IVs willy nilly.

Basically you can have any IVs, but a dynamic/static PID. Head over to Smogon to learn what RNG is, it's too complex to explain in this thread.

But I don't know how to use this, to let's say, get shiny entralink arceus.

can't get shiny entralinks, sorry. They have a shiny check. It's a RNG prediction program.

They will be kept in all uppercase. Trashbytes are also somewhat kept upon shifting as well.

Here's what Nintendo has told me. They know less of what's going on than we do. I need evidence/proof from Nintendo's site (I don't know where to look) that WIN2011 was distributed at both Mall Tour AND wide distribution Gamestops:

The GAMESTP Celebi was the distribution at the Black and White Mall Tours, via Game Stop locations. The WIN2011 is the wider distribution taking place at Game Stop locations now. Both are official.

If it does stay "legit", then it's as legit as someone claiming to have a PCNY Wish Blissey. Sure they can exist, but they are so rare that almost every single one was not obtained from the event itself.

What I meant to imply is that the new distribution cart had the older shiny beasts, exactly like the other card, but replaced the celebi + date.

There was someone on the Serebii chat that said he went to Gamestop today and they still had the old distribution cart.

In fact, they let him download the Raikou.

The window was at least a week. I would be surprised if this new distro cart didn't have the beasts in addition to the new Celebi, which explains why that guy got the GameStop to give him the Raikou.

They are probably created from the Mersenne Twister (incubation) RNG.

PID does not change from a gen 3 era mon. There is no PIDIV correlation.
