  1. I don't know why it happened, but luckily it was a simple fix. Our tutorials live in the tutorials section, and the threads you see in the forums are generated from them. Any edits made to the tutorials apply to the forum threads, so because we were lucky enough to have the images in the tutorials work fine, re-syncing the threads fixed the issue. Thanks for reporting the issue!
  2. After creating a modpack solution for either Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity or Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, right-click the base ROM project and click Utilities -> Export Soundtrack. This will create a tagged MP3 soundtrack from the ROM.
  3. Yeah, that's normal for now. I hope to take another look at it in the future, but once you progress a little, you can rename your characters from the main menu.
  4. Version 1.0.0

    1165 downloads

Not 100% complete, but it's in the post game
  5. Version 1.0.0

    2380 downloads

Not quite 100%, but the story's been completed at least.
  6. Done. It can be seen on your profile page after it's set in your profile settings.
  7. I can add that back if you want.
  8. Try deleting AvalonDock.Layout.config. Sounds like it got corrupt somehow.
  9. Turns out the mods are interfering with each other. If all you want to do is change the starters (and get all the other patches that reduce glitches), you can delete all the projects except for the starter project. Or just extract that zip file, and uncheck everything except "starter" after giving it your ROM and before clicking Patch. In the mean time, I'll work on making sure things don't interfere with each other: https://github.com/evandixon/SkyEditor.ROMEditor/issues/81
  10. What region of PSMD are you using with Sky Editor, and what region is your console? I've tested the US and European versions on a US console with Luma 3DS, but I'd like to confirm. It'd also help if you could send me the zip file that was in the modpack output folder. I just upped everyone's upload limits, so you shouldn't have any trouble uploading it as an attachment (it should be about 200MB in size).

  13. Using the latest version of Luma 3DS, ensure Game Patching is enabled in the settings menu, make sure Sky Editor creates the Luma 3DS LayeredFS output, then copy the contents of the SD Card folder in the output directory into the root of your SD card. Sounds like the CIA's corrupt. Not sure what could cause that, since it works for me. I guess make sure you're using the latest version of FBI, and try recreating the CIA file, in case there was corruption when copying it or something.
  14. What CFW are you using and what are you using to install it? Does it give an error message. It might also be worth trying Luma 3DS's game patching. That's worked pretty reliably lately, for me at least. It's been a while since I checked, but I think that's normal.
  15. Thanks for the report. I've posted a workaround in the intro guide, in step 5 of Downloading Sky Editor. I'll see if I can fix the root issue at some point. What's happening is when a zip file is downloaded from the web, it's marked as coming from the internet. When Windows extracts the zip, that mark carries over to the dll files, which causes problems sometimes. The only reason I didn't encounter it is because 7zip doesn't carry over that mark.
  16. It should be for both. Do you see any errors in the Errors window? And do you see the zip file (even if there's not a ROM or SD Card Folder)? This step is actually pretty simple. The short version is "press a single button and watch while a bunch of stuff happens". I'll see if I can reword things to make that clearer.
  17. Looks like it's /sounds/Species.wav or /sounds/Species-Form.wav.
  18. If your target Gameboy or Gameboy Color game is a 3DS virtual console version, please refer to the tutorial for managing 3DS saves: View full tutorial

  20. Thanks for checking. I think I fixed the issue. Please try out this build: https://teamcity.projectpokemon.org/repository/download/SkyEditor_SkyEditorROMEditor_B/26957:id/SkyEditor.ROMEditor.UI.WPF Build 106.zip I blame the issue on EveryFileExplorer's texture code that I incorporated into Sky Editor.
  21. Looks like it's mostly done at that point. But don't worry; we're making progress. I forgot to ask, is there a file called "Error-(some date and time).txt" in the same directory as SkyEditor.RomEditor.UI.WPF.exe. If there is, please upload it. If not, please try out this special build that adds some more debugging info: https://teamcity.projectpokemon.org/repository/download/SkyEditor_SkyEditorROMEditor_B/26931:id/SkyEditor.ROMEditor.UI.WPF Build 102.zip Using it, please do everything you previously did (you can open the solution instead of creating a new one, to save time and disk space), and when it crashes, check the project directory to see if there's a file called "status.txt" that should be right next to fixed_pokemon.bin. If there is, please upload it and/or post what's in it.
  22. @Wol38 Thanks for the info. Looks like your computer should be able to handle it, so there's probably something in Sky Editor that's a little to fragile. When step 2 runs, it processes a lot of files in the background. Can you help me find out exactly where it crashed? Please look in (Solution Directory)/(Project Directory), and tell me which folders/files you see: Raw Files folder Languages folder A bunch of *.bin files inside Languages/en script folder A bunch of *.lua and *.lua.original files inside script/menu A bunch of other folders named after Pokemon, such as "aabo", "aaboku", "aaken", etc. A bunch of *.png files inside each of these folders (no need to check more than just one or two) fixed_pokemon.bin (should be underneath all the other folders) Chances are that if one of these is missing, everything after it in the list is also missing.
  23. Could you answer the following questions so I can further diagnose the issue? Are there any error messages shown when it crashes? Is it crashing when you create the project (step 2), or when you build the project (step 7)? What version of Windows are you using? Also, is it 32 or 64 bit? What version of Java do you have installed? How much free RAM do you have on your computer?

  25. I've written a new tutorial for how to use the ROM editing capabilities. Unlike the previous one on GitHub, this one has lots of screenshots, and is far more in-depth.
