  1. Switch can be changed to any date. So the mons can have any date (within the Switch’s allowable range). As for what Big N would do, and if they have any tricks up their sleeve, who knows. Anyway don’t discuss this, as it relates to pirated content. Thread locked.
  2. PKHeX isn’t updated for BDSP. also it’s not the file extension that matters, it’s the content. lastly, obvious piracy. Read our rules. Thread locked.
  3. It’s rather simple. Find a way to convert the size. Size change then load an older state, then save. Or maybe use an external tool. Consider uploading the save for us to see.
  4. If you've spent any amount of time in the modding community, you have probably heard of people hacking Pokémon games. Usually it's romhacks that you hear about, but you've also probably seen another form of it: custom Virtual Console frames. You know, that cool frame that appears when you launch a Virtual Console title while holding start or select. People have been doing this since the Super Gameboy days on the SNES, and Virtual Console is no different. People like to make their stuff look good and to their liking. There are tons of tutorials out there for making your own CIA's out of roms of games you own. There's even tutorials out there on how to package your own custom frame into your personalized/hacked CIA, with applications that do the heavy lifting for you. But what if you wanted to use your own custom frame with an official Virtual Console title? Well...there aren't any tutorials for that; at least, not that I could find. So that's why I'm here: to fill that niche and save people the difficulty I went through. What you need: An official Virtual Console title (we'll be using Pokémon Crystal in this tutorial). An official 3DS console, soft modded with Luma, following the guide at https://3ds.hacks.guide/ Following the linked guide will also provide you with the following, all of which are needed: FBI (for installing CIAs). godmode9 (for file manipulation). layeredFS (for file replacement). The most up to date version of New Super Ultimate Injector, found here: New Super Ultimate Injector At the time of writing, the newest version is beta 28. You may need to change the language of the application the first time you launch it. To do this, go to tools (3rd option from the left at the top of the window), then Options (last item). Then in the first drop down, select your language. Warnings: Following and/or deviating from the steps in this tutorial is done at your own risk. There is always the chance for mistakes or bricking to happen, so back up your stuff just in case. Neither I nor Project Pokémon is responsible or liable for any damage done to your property as a result of following this guide. Do not attempt to follow this tutorial with stolen, torrented, or otherwise pirated roms. Pirating is illegal, and we strongly recommend you purchase the Virtual Console title you wish to follow this guide with. You wouldn't download a Pikachu, would you? Always use the most up to date software. Failing to do so increases the likelihood of bad things happening. Part 1: Getting your Title ID Part 2: Dumping your rom Part 3: Creating and installing your CIA Part 4: Dumping your romFS and obtaining your face_cgb.ttp file Part 5: Injecting your custom face_cgb.ttp Part 6: Clean up And you're done!
  5. So, I've split out the 2 blocks on each save, and duplicated them so that only that block can be read by the game. All 4 saves created this way can be read by PKHeX. It should be obvious what save they were split out from. I cannot guarantee that the game can read them (there might be some issue with them at the first place), but at least if you decide to salvage them, the data is there. PL1.sav PL2.sav Platinum_Version1.sav Platinum_Version2.sav
  6. Yes. We can't do anything (like check the data), if you don't actually provide the save.
  7. Japan ones probably won't work. Yeah maybe search other sites, since I've not seen the save for it mentioned as much
  8. If no one gives you codes, consider signing up for the GAME.co.uk mailer, for a free pair of codes: https://www.game.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HubArticleView?hubId=2837253&articleId=2837253&catalogId=10201&langId=44&storeId=10151
  9. Check here: https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/wii/960849-pokemon-rumble/saves
  10. (Or just go straight to the end, as opposed to reading the whole thing)
  11. Follow the specific steps for mirage island usage.
  12. Yeah, you might be thinking about newer games, where some newer games place restrictions on starters and others don’t. You gotta remember the shiny lock mechanism in main series handheld console games itself didn’t really exist or functional until Gen 5.
  13. Just spit balling here, lack of time, lack of interest (maker and third parties), other priorities, reasons related to date of discovery vs tool published, etc. Since you're interested, and you were told the offsets, why don't you guys make it? Don't take this the wrong way, but ngl the way you phrased that statement sounds hella entitled.
  14. In general: Celebi - Wasn't distributed shiny in Gen 3, neither could it be caught. Any Shadows in XD. Any non-event not mentioned here could be encountered shiny. Using RS as a reference (since you mentioned it), all in-game encounters can be shiny, even the Ralts that Wally encounters.
  15. If the save loads in PKHeX, it happens to appear supported. There’s still a chance something breaks after the edit. Do know that every ROM hack maker might do/require something unique that the base games don’t. Unofficial games won’t be supported. (If it happens to load, it just means the hack is close enough to the original). For PKHeX to support unofficial games, it’ll require a 3rd party forking PKHeX and making their own modifications. still I think it is worth a try.
  16. While not officially endorsed by Nintendo, you’re asking for ROM dump of a commercial product. I won’t infract you due to the weird circumstance, but do know asking for ROMs is against our rules and you shouldn’t do it again :3 Also, while we might have AR codes and the like, we are by no means an AR forum. Your issue sounds frustrating. I do hope you go to a support channel/forum better equipped to deal with your issue.

  18. Part of my steps here mentions how to inject arm9.bin:
  19. Yeah it certainly was fun, but I think it’s been too long since it was managed
  20. If I’m not mistaken, the issue here is legal.exe has not been updated for a long time. Sounds like a bad idea.
  21. Is legal.exe even updated for current legality checks?
  22. So let's say you want Ho-Oh for example. 1. Make sure the coordinates are for the Red Wormhole 2. Make sure you unset Flag 4 (not the species number. Literally flag number 4) 3. Make sure you set the other numbers 1 through 15, except 4. If you're still having difficulties, I don't how else to explain it.
  23. The flags portion of the excel sheet. Event flags. Set or unset them.
