  1. I don't know why you mentioned Encryption constant, when that's not the issue with this Ho-Oh. a) Mons obtained from Max Lair have a certain Dynamax level. Just max it out. b) Max Lair legendaries have a minimum of 4 Perfect IVs, so just max one IV out. You can choose it at random. c) For Max Lair Legendary, abiltiy is 1. Also as Kaphotics said, the PID/IVs/EC/HT/WT are correlated, however not checked by PKHeX at the moment. So it appears legal, but ain't legal. I don't think there's a tool that acts like RNGReporter and gives correlated stats for Max Lair mons yet.
  2. @ghost. could you just upload the files that has issues? maybe like provide 3 different kinds obtained from different methods? not everything needs properly correlated ECs.
  3. The only ways are a) make sure you truly own them (all their details match the save, origin game match the save etc) b) Progress far enough through the game. As I've said prior: Consider reading outsider Pokémon and obedience.
  4. @ghost. To clarify, you can perform the act of creation in PKHeX, it's just that they are illegal, right? If so: looking at your screenshot, you're attempting to receive an egg at the train station, and hatch it by the nursery couple. That location data is completely wrong. Try reversing it. (See image I attached) PKHeX's error message of unable to met an encounter from origin game means there is no such encounter possible in the encounter game. It means the encounter is not known to exist. Which in this case, it means you hacked it wrongly. PKHeX is acting as intended. Image: Additionally, if you're trying to edit wild mons from Gen 8, keep in mind they have a known PIDIV correlation. What this means, is that you cannot haphazardly edit their PID, EC, Height, Weight. More reading relating to PID Mismatch: Overworld8 here. Edit: I've edited the title to reflect a somewhat more accurate representation of the issue. Your original title may give the wrong impression that the issue is with PKHeX. If so, that would not be true, as PKHeX is flagging due to incorrect details. Thus, it is working as intended.
  5. @JovianGuard Bank and HOME has almost has no legality checks, so you're right about their checks being garbage. Bred Pokémon's egg moves follow a somewhat specific move order. You probably just haphazardly threw moves into the Egg Move section thinking that's enough. Let the PKHeX suggest moves, that should set it into the correct order. Alternatively upload the file here. Or just follow this image:
  6. That's not an icon. Anyway, from what I can tell, there was no real reason for you to create another thread. If no one replied, just wait patiently alright? Since you're new, let me teach you about forum etiquette, don't go around posting multiple times asking about the same thing. Just wait for people to reply :3 Anyhow, I've merged your threads :3 Back to the question, yeah, you can edit your Mystery Gift Block, and remove the data via hex editing. The question is: why? There is no real need to do that. What is your purpose for wanting it deleted? Bringing this up just in case you had these thoughts: 1) You can receive another Poke Ball Mew, even if the record still shows in the gift album, as long as you buy another Poke Ball Plus. Explanation: This gift is set to be multi-receivable. For every ball you purchase, you can redeem another Mew from it. 2) Deleting the record won't allow you to receive another Poke Ball Mew from the same Poke Ball Plus you used to redeem this Mew. Explanation: think of the redemption as a one time serial code; the serial code was used when you redeemed it the first time round. Since it's a one time serial code, you cannot reuse it once it is used.
  7. If the Pokemon fully belong to you (OT name, OT gender, TID and SID same between mon and save), it would obey, regardless of progress. Make sure they fully belong to you. No. There isn't a byte that controls obedience. That's probably a leftover from when fateful encounter flag was called obedience flag in Gen 3. (To give context, back in those days, any Mew and Deoxys will never obey, even if you defeated E4)
  8. your save is too big. it doesn't even look like a proper save, it just cuts of randomly. One other thing I would like you to try, is launch the game, go past the continue screen, then launch EdiZon (while the game is launched), then dump the save from there. What happens? Also, quick question, how are you transferring the save to your PC? Looking at your save in hex, The does seem to have a proper header (at least the copies I own have that same value infront). And while it's normal for SWSH saves to look like junk cause they're encrypted, I don't think the values BF BD is supposed to appear that frequently. It's like appearing, every other other byte.
  9. I'm under the impression those mons you edited did not belong to the trainer of the save, and the progress of that save is not far enough. You want to edit "outsider's Pokémon" and have them obey? Increase your trainer progress. (Basically earn more badges/trial stamps) There's no other way..
  10. If I’m not mistaken that roman characters in JPN/KOR games are full width, while standard Roman characters in International games are half width, so it’s fine.
  11. It's not a secret, it's just not documented properly. If I recall correctly, for Gen 6, the Map ID needs to be copied to 2 specific spots. I'm unsure if Gen 7 has that "2 spots" requirements, as well as unusure if NPC/overworld data is required: Additionally, there may also be another value that checks/determine whether you're indoors or outdoors (includes caves and outdoor areas that are pretty much special routes, so fake outdoors), and swapping from an indoor to outdoor area may result in the black screen. I more or less don't recommend editing *only* the coordinates. Or at least try warping with similar enough areas.
  12. someone need to properly document it. and then codify it.
  13. PID type discovered for Gen 8. One can't willy nilly edit them.
  14. @HollowMaster read this thread:
  15. Just adding these cause I get asked a bit. These files use the CGB format. Can be imported via PKHeX > Cgear
  16. well, trolls exist in every community, We try our best to vet cases based on proof and such, gather stuff from different sources whenever possible etc.
  17. I will give a short explanation, about the risks of receiving files from others. I'll just give you the short version. I cannot guarantee that 100% of our events were from official. Most if not all of our events were vetted, and a big bunch even grabbed directly by us. But even then, our main mode of receiving events are contributions. Thing about contributions is, malicious parties can be ingenious and try to find ways to get their simulated stuff accepted. As such, I cannot be 100% confident that nothing slipped past us. I'm only 99.9% confident. I hope that fully answers the question.
  18. How are you booting into Sysnand and EmuMMC? Also, upload the dumped save file here. I wanna take a look.
  19. 1) We get our cards contributed to us. 2) If it's a legal combination, it'll be flagged as such. Same for illegal. 3) Whether which is better is up to the user. Also you appear to be showing a screenshot of distribution ROMs, which is piracy. That is not allowed on our forums, and I cannot assist you further in that matter.
  20. For Gen 4 and onwards, injections bypass any restrictions relating to "whether this game can receive it", as long as you're injecting a wonder card of the correct generation. Of course, the resulting mon may not be legal, if they were not supposed to be cross received. As I said above, from Generation 4 and onwards, you can cross inject the wonder card within the same generation. However the mon may not be legal, if they were not supposed to be cross received. edit: I didn't see the words. This is why it looks like to me. I had to highlight em to see them. I just saw the presence of your words for the first time. So, I was replying purely based on the images and the red circles.
  21. Yeah, basically in Gen 5 the Wonder Card can only be received by the intended language. So JPN and KOR events must have Japanese and Korean nicknames respectively (if they can't evolve). There is a certain leeway, but other criteria must be met: Let's say you got a Japanese Pikachu in JPN Gen 5, and traded it to an ENG Gen 5 game. When you evolve it, it will get an English nickname (Raichu). However when you transfer it up, its name would go back to being Japanese Raichu. This reset occurs due to the language on the mon is still tagged to JPN/KOR respectively. I believe you can do the same trade-evolution name BS in Gen 6 (So get a Japanese Pikachu in Gen 5 -> Transfer to Gen 6 -> trade over to an English Gen 6 game and evolve there -> acquire English nickname Raichu) but the visible language tag will still be JPN/KOR. Basically, in Gen 6 and 7, the language tag appears if the game language differs from the language tagged onto the mon. TL;DR: In relation to Gen 5 language exclusive event mons - if the mon have an English nickname in an English Gen 6/7 game, and you do not see the language tag, then it is illegal. If the mon cannot evolve, it must have its language exclusive nickname. edit: when I say English names, I'm saying half width roman characters, not full width ones. Then again, it's not likely that one can legally rename them to full width characters, and those renames are also restricted to the 5 character limit Gen 5 JPN/KOR enforces. yeah sadly that is just the way the world is yeah it is an odd scenario innit. Maybe the game glitched or something. The PID of starters have to be Method 1. (emulators might be inaccurate and cause other Methods). But yours wasn't even following any GBA methods. Without a way to reliable reproduce it, it would stay illegal.
  22. Thanks for the uploads. Also I'm guessing you missed my edits, but no big deal. Also don't take this the wrong way: they might mean a lot to you because you've obtained them in your playthrough, but understand that these literally don't mean much in terms of being proof of the Swampert not being hacked. For the sake of my point, let's assume you're not a malicious party. Now, imagine this: A malicious party could do the same things as you have done, upload a hacked starter, claim that it wasn't hacked, then proceeded to upload a bunch of unhacked in-game mons. They then went on to tell a story about how they don't know how to cheat in Gen 3. They even went on to add "why would I lie". Now, you see how your actions can also be done by said malicious party, and a third party viewing the situation from outside cannot exactly tell the difference? There is no need to delve into the intent of a malicious party. They are being malicious, and that's the end of it. Anyhow, at least for me when it comes to this, I *mostly* don't rely on the stories from other parties. They can say anything. Rely on the code, rely on the tools. People may lie. People may misremember. People may misrepresent. People may misunderstand and say the wrong thing. Stories can be fabricated or misremembered. Game code and machine code, do not lie. Sure, they can be misinterpreted, but it is literally all there to be seen. Frankly, without using the game/rng code as proof, or without a way to reliably reproduce such a phenomenon, or a significant amount of reports showing that it is indeed a thing, I find it very hard for dev minds to be changed. I will keep your case in mind. In the event that it was proven that such a thing may occur, and if I see you've been online recently, I'll tag you in a post to update you. Until an exception via code is discovered, the code (as it currently is) says your Swampert is illegal, with a reasonable reason that applies to every other Gen 3 starter. I hope you understand why user story not supplemented by any kind of game code/game behaviour proof doesn't mean much.
  23. @ozderya I know it's a bit late, but based on recent findings across the community, it appears they found the source of the issue. All Ho-Oh from Colosseum, that is *still in Colosseum/Pokemon in Colosseum format* (like yours) will have the Fateful Encounter flag checked. This appears to be a mistake related to the Fateful Encounter flag being incorrect documented for Colosseum. Additionally, if you trade your Ho-Oh out from Colosseum to a GBA game normally, then proceed to use PKHeX to check the GBA Gen 3 save, it would not have the Fateful Encounter flagged. Just keeping you updated :3
  24. I can't speak for everyone, and do not take this the wrong way: I'm not naive enough to take someone's word as it is, I hope you can understand that. The RNG implementation done by Gen 3 and 4 are well understood for like well over ten years. Go check up stuff like RNGreporter and Pokefinder. Those are also up publicly on Github, so you can check the code out if you're curious. Additionally, there's probably a bunch of similar Japanese tools out there too. If you could provide a scenario using both game and RNG code, beyond "I swear I got it myself", that'll be great. why would anyone lie on the internet, hmm? (I mean this in a joking manner, not taking any kind of stabs at you) And I applaud you for reporting bugs. People should report bugs. We're not stopping you or chiding you or anything. Just saying it shows up as illegal on various other tools, not just on PKHeX. It is one thing that it is only PKHeX (which would mean a bug in PKHeX's code), but it's another when the other tools used to find RNG sequencing reports the same thing. So unless you can find and report a specific bug in all of them, this is not looking good for your Swampert Maybe you tried to changing the Nature with cheat codes or something, and simply forgot? The specific PID on the Swampert doesn't even generate normally for any Pokémon GBA games (known as PID type: Method 1-4). Peoples' memory are pretty bad. Maybe you lent the game to someone else, and they restarted it with cheats. Maybe some glitch was used to get the starter. Maybe you borrowed a friend's GS/AR for GBA. Frankly, I would find it pretty amazing if such a bug existed in all RNG programs, like imagine if such a thing went unnoticed for such a duration of time, that'll get my blood pumping. However, this is literally 1 report (I think) in like, 10-15 years of Gen 3 and 4 RNG history. You can see why people aren't willing to believe your story immediately. In other words, until sufficient evidence via game code/RNG is provided, or until this case could be properly replicated on our end, PKHeX appears to be working as intended. Reason: The Swampert doesn't even have a Method 1-4 PID, which cannot occur in regular gameplay. I don't think I've seen *any* none Method 1-4 PID on Gen 3 GBA mons outside of eggs. In any case I'll keep your scenario in mind, in case any similar reports pop up. Cheers. edit: Saw this nugget, had to reply to. Ignoring language mismatch scenario for now. Yeah eBay events could be classed as legal, if they are genned right. But that isn't the point, is it? Selling hacked in event mons to bunch of kiddies, that isn't a good look, right? As for a (presumably) teen/young-teen/adult like yourself, why pay someone else when you could hack them yourself? Any variant of 3DS can be hacked.. Now, going towards region and language locking. Gen 5 events are language locked. That status carries forward into future games. Let's say the JPN only Shiny Genesect event for example. It cannot have an English name, even if transferred up to Gen 6 or 7, because you would not have been able to legitimately acquire one in Gen 5. Doesn't matter how you cut it, how the stats appear legal and whatnot, illegal is illegal. If you cannot come up with a way to obtain it on unmodified hardware, then it is not legal.
