  1. Well, if you could notice frame drops, then perhaps your computer can't handle it? What I meant by frame skipping, if I could recall the conversation properly, is something like vblank interrupting the frames. Vblank normally occurs for fishing (if I'm not mistaken), however emulators might insert a vblank when it's not supposed to. The most obvious one would be stationaries: AFAIK they should only be Method 1, and a wrong vblank would make them other methods, thus illegal. And no, the mon won't always come with a legal PID spread. It depends on what mon you encounter and how. An example from someone who knows better: (Context, the response was to someone asking about Pokemon Boxes' emulator. But the whole vblank business applies here) and Anyhow, if you don't wanna deal with it, just play on real hardware. :3
  2. Yes, change the Compressed (good/lz) to Raw
  3. way too small to be a sav. I opened your file in a hex editor, and it appeared to be a nocash file. As such, follow the instructions here: (Open your .ini file, change SAV/SNA file format == xxx to SAV/SNA file format == Raw. If it doesn't work, use the supplied .ini file.)
  4. upload your save here. (and only your save)
  5. if you're checking on PKHeX, and it flags a mon illegal, and it's a mon you're able to legally catch in those games, then it almost certainly happened. To use RNGreporter to compare spreads wouldn't exactly work: you'll need to knowledge of whether the game skipped frames to begin with, and you normally wouldn't be able to know if the frame skipping is natural consequence or the emulator mucking up. To provide context, this works when a mon's encounter is only allowed to be Method 1 (for example), and it instead got Method 4. If a mon is allowed to have Method 1, 2 or 4, then it would show up as legal either way. I'm sorry, but if I'm not mistaken, system date doesn't matter, since we're talking about GBA games. GBA doesn't contain system dates? In any event, you're not using distribution carts, so no need to dig into this.
  6. Tho, what you should know is that at times emulator can screw up the RNG calls (the PIDIV generation). If you're that worried bout it, then play on real hardware.
  7. Even if it doesn't, you're not preserving history, because you're literally making a hack of it. Either way, no is no. You asked a question and I answered. I'm not looking to "change your mind", so do what you want with the information.
  8. It is almost as though this gift is not meant to be received on Sun, and thus should not have Sun as its origin game..
  9. Loaded it into PKHeX, and it could view the file. Then I saved, and loaded it into my emulator, and saved twice in it. Besides that process, nothing. you too.
  10. This? The data is right there. POKEMON SAPP_2021.06.22-14.19.03.sav
  11. check our saves or user contributed saves.
  12. But they were already lost or missed, since no one has it. "remaking it" will potentially cause your copy to be confused with the real deal, when the real deal shows up.
  13. I changed the thread title back to English. Please be aware that this is a predominantly English speaking forum.
  14. You technically can shiny hunt Darkrai with any Gen 4 game. However, you can only legally get Darkrai in Platinum. This is not Platinum.
  15. Yeah you probably have to, if it's a gen 5 Genesect. In Gen 8, you could get a shiny Genesect from GO, and those aren't language locked, so that's one hassle of your shoulders. No worries.
  16. Well, people have been hacking in the Wonder Card into saves and redeeming in on an English save. So ENG name shiny Genesect from the JPN movie event isn't uncommon. Back in the day, a picture of the redeemed Genesect isn't enough; anyone could make it. It was verified against people who went to the event on the spot, and taken various pictures. These people also tends to have various different languaged cart. As I said, if it was an actual exception, we would have heard about it (plus proper accompanying proof) ages ago. Anyhow, I feel as though I have sufficiently answered your question. Do you have any other burning questions?
  17. Not gonna lay down any conclusions, since there's many ways it can go. Maybe someone hacked the distribution cartridge to force it to distribute to Gen 5 English games. Maybe someone hacked the game save on that cartridge. Maybe someone received the event via those DNS spoofing things, and the DNS spoofer doesn't restrict languages of saves distributed to. Maybe Shiny Genesect event had a special exception (although I doubt it; this would have been raised many years ago, and thus wouldn't make it the first time I'm hearing of this). It's up to your to decide on how this event ended up on this cart, but whatever the case, it is not legal.

  19. Looks fine as it is. First, notice the owner of the save (Ash). Then notice the name of Latest NotOTHandler (PPorg) Finally, notice where the green box is on (Ash) Basically, imagine this: The mon was traded from Ash to PPorg (hence PPorg being Latest NotOTHandler), Then the mon was traded back to Ash (hence the green box being on Ash). The Latest NotOTHandler doesn't get wiped. The mon's data just indicated the current handler is back to Ash (the green box). Makes sense? There is no batch editor script to fix PID mismatch. You gotta roll them all manually one by one. I have a tutorial regarding how to do that manually. Most of the mons are bred, so rerolling the stats is probably fine. It's the non-bred entries and past gen entries that you have to worry about. Back in the day I wiped a bunch of Pokemon that had PID types from the save, since I privatized some entries by rerolling PID and IVs and broke the overworld8 PID type then. Bred Pokemon have no PID type. You probably didn't realize that they're bred. I then filled up some of the missing entries with mons from Colo/XD (which could be transferred from HOME). I privatized those by wiping the HOME tracker. So for CXD entries, you should not roll PID/EC, but the bred entries are fine. The Gigantamax factor can't be bred down. However, since the Isle of Armor release, you can give Gigantamax Factor to species that can Gigantamax (except Melmetal). Hence why it's possible for hatched mons to be legal while bearing the G-factor.
  20. @ArceusGOAT Gen 5 local wireless redemption of events were language locked. Meaning, Japanese wonder cards can only be received by Japanese game carts. Meaning, it can only bear an Japanese name.
  21. Yes, event raids can be anywhere in the appropriate Galar Subregion (Galar Mainland or IoA or CT, depending on where you imported the file into). So you just need to set the Den type to Event at any den. PKHeX uses 0 to 4 for Rarity (following the way the game sets the data), and it's used to represent 1 to 5. Pretty sure I explained it in the guide as intended - 1. You do see that, right? Erm. To be clear. If you want an Event Raid to appear at your selected den, you need to select "Event". If you want a common raid to appear at your selected den, you need to select "Common". If you want a rare raid to appear at your selected den, you need to select "Rare". I don't see how this leads to confusion. If you want a particular type of raid, you select what raid you want to encounter. Common/Rare is limited to ROM raids that were preset by the game to appear at that den. Event raids are limited to the subregion, and also data imported for wild area news. Meaning they'll not restricted to appear in only one den; they can appear anywhere in the appropriate Galar Subregion (Galar Mainland or IoA or CT, depending on where you imported the file into). For ROM dens, check resources online to make sure you're at the right den. For raid dens, I've answered your question twice above.
  22. Details for Index 7 of normal_encount Rewards for Index 7 of normal_encount Details for Index 7 of dai_encount Rewards for Index 7 of dai_encount
  23. I don't see what is so unsafe about that.. Either way should generate legal Pokemon, since you're not ROM hacking and changing the way the game generates those Pokemon.. Gen 8 Switch games has no region. Region legality from Gen 7 in Gen 8 doesn't matter cause that data is wiped.
  24. (a) You can grab the latest wild area event news from connecting your Switch to the internet (b) You can load our "Index Null" into your save.
