  3. (Pokemon Sun/Moon covers 1) Nintendo has released a patch for Pokémon Sun and Moon introducing the following game balance fixes 2: Battle videos recorded before applying the update are incompatible with this patch and will be unplayable after installing it. With regards to game hacking, this may break ROM hacks, depending on whether or not the ROM hack modified the game's executable. If you are playing such a ROM hack, you will either need to refrain from updating or wait for the author to update the hack. Save editors like PKHeX are unaffected. @SciresM's SMPatcher has been updated to version 1.1 to provide compatibility with the update, and can be downloaded here 3. If you are new to SMPatcher, it will modify the game executable to make QR scanning and PKHeX importing much similar. In order to use it, you will need to have CFW, which can currently be installed using the latest firmware. The recommended installation guide can be found here. Here is a list of patches that SMPatcher can apply to Sun or Moon: Sources: Pokémon Sun and Moon Official Website Serebii SciresM's GitHub View full article

  4. Well, pokémon link was more powerful than wondercards, but I think they realized they weren't using it as much. Pokémon link could provide at the same time: 6 pokémon, 6 items, battlepoints and pokémilles. The pokémon themselves were quite similar to wondercard, and they could also be locked to only be received once (as seen in ORAS demo and only there). Don't get me wrong, I think that they realized they weren't really using it and decided to use the space for more wondercards and kind of change wondercards so they can provide multiple things at once is a good improvement. But now I wonder if pokébank will still reward battle points...I've been saving them for like 2 years, and receiving in SUMO seems quite right (all those expensive stones...).

  6. I think what I said was confusing. Pokemon Bank receives Wonder card from Nintendo Servers. Then sends it to your save as Pokemon Link. But in reality, the data structure is pretty much the same as wonder cards. They realized it's redundant, and made it the one and the same in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

  7. yeah all we needed was someone with a Japanese console AND the Mew to transfer it to Sun and Moon then extract the pk7. And that's something I intend to do.

  8. Yes, FBI needs permissions to work. So assuming you're on Luma3DS via A9LH, it should work. I'll be worried if it doesn't

  9. Sorry what? That entire paragraph felt fragmented to me; I found it hard to understand. So I'll trim it down and focus on this one statement: Let's see: Gen I and II games trading are not region free. To be more specific, back then regions were likely only differentiated only via the language of the game. To my understanding, European language games are able to trade among one another, But one can't trade between European and Japanese, or vice versa. (to be precise, I think the games can connect, but it could lead to corruption) For 3DS VC, they upped the ante, and language locked the games altogether. Japanese game wireless connection would not even pick up a English game. (However, installing a Japanese Red on US console to collect the Mew totally worked, as done by my friend who helped with my contribution) Now, If you were concerned about Pokebank's support, I'll say there's no need to be. VC Games have different Title IDs across the different languages, so Pokebank can simply read the save using the correct save offsets for those Title IDs. Hopefully, these answers cover your concerns. EDIT: In case you were worried about the region locking I mentioned in earlier posts, I was talking about how it would affect people who installed a Japanese Pokemon on US console. People who installs their games normally won't be affected.
