Well hello hello! Background Simple explanation is, the gifs we are using for the Events Gallery, isn't perfect. Best example here is Pheromosa: As Pheromosa back texture is meant to be semi-translucent, as a result, it captured the background. Task for Volunteers What is required, is for translucent areas to retain their original tint, while being translucent. Example of effect (using static Pheromosa): Species Pheromosa Test Nickname (default, save lang) OT (TBA) TID (TBA) Distribution (TBA) Location (TBA) Dates (TBA) PID Cannot Be Shiny Games SM Lv. 50 (the green gif background can be seen moving behind it, cause it's back is not fully opaque.) So the end goal, is to have translucent areas be appropriately translucent, on animated png (.apng) I'll be attaching the animated gifs (to be edited). Also attaching the static images with translucent effect as color guide, as I've actually extracted the colors from Pokemon SM textures. (While fixing opacity and color for still images by myself is possible, it'll be too much to do for all the animated gifs) Special Consideration I've also attached 3 Pokemon with glows, as I'm not sure if they look good as they are, namely: Lanturn, Xurkitree, Cresselia. While Solosis, Duosion and Reuniclus opacity isn't the most obvious, the background bugs me out. Apparently, stuff like Nihilego isn't affected, so it wasn't included. Done and Reserved Pokemon (Don't do these!) If no apng is submitted after 3 weeks, you'll be dropped. (Done by BlackShark) (Done by theSLAYER) (Done by wraith89) (done by andrewism) Closing words This is undoubtedly an arduous task, and I'm considering giving a badge, if at least 2 apngs are properly done. (I'll still need to discuss the staff tho. Example, @evandixon any thoughts about this? @jasenyoface do you think we should put this on our front page?) If you think I missed out a Pokemon, I'll review the apng and get back to you. Have fun doing this >< Attachment texture.rar2 points

Pokémon Gold and Silver will launch on Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console this September, Nintendo announced. The re-releases will be available on the Nintendo eShop on Sept. 22. Pokémon Gold and Silver were originally released for the Game Boy Color in the United States 17 years ago. The updated version of the game will be compatible with Pokémon Bank, Unfortunately, the game will not be available for the Nintendo Switch. This does now mean it's finally possible to import Pokemon from all previous generations in to GEN 7. Source: Polygon1 point

@Sabresite using Pokemon bank to inject the GS ball into crystal is certainly a good way for it to work! I hope they do it like that, rather than some local trade nonsense.1 point

Considering how the wireless functions worked with Crystal, I doubt it will be utilized. This has to do with the way it did HTTP requests (static url among other things) and that they most likey will not fix any issues or features. If they don't do a trade celebi, then like insane nutter said, most likely a pokemon bank event that injects the GS ball. That is of course if they ever release Crystal lol.1 point

I've always been really fond of the Flying-type. Guess it's just because I like birds IRL, nothing that deep.1 point

I found which byte controls the eyelid state on the Trainer Passport picture. I think it's at offset 0x1266, but I only tested it by RAM editing relative to the RAM's save. Apparently the value 0x03 makes the eyes closed, 0x02 makes them sleepy (partially closed), and 0x01 make the eyes totally open. You're welcome.1 point

This cart dumper/flasher or a Retrode with GB adapter are the easiest ways. If you happen to already have a Game Boy flashcart and a Mega Memory Card, you can do it that way too, but it's a bit tricky.1 point

If you all do submit files in Downloads, here is a link to the correct place to upload the pkm files (hopefully compressed). https://projectpokemon.org/forums/files/category/64-pkm-files/1 point
