I have a new one though: sky attack, which takes one turn to charge, fires off immediately. I know some pokemon are allowed to move twice in one turn based on abilities, but I recruited one of these sky attackers recently and it had no such ability. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to fix this. (But it does a wicked amount of damage and keeps one shotting me) Also I'll look to see if other charge attacks are effected. Not sure yet. I also figured out the switching "bug": My partner and I are both Zoruas and I got mixed up on who's the leader lmao x-x No Charger.
RaizePrime Posted May 16 Posted May 16 Hi! First of all, this is an incredible rom hack. However, while accepting rewards from doing jobs, my game crashed. I was accepting a bounty reward from Magnezone at the time. This is on a New 3DS XL, running TwilightMenu++ on version 27.23.0 with nds-bootstrap on version 2.14.0 I did try to send you a message on Discord about this as well, but it seems you have friend requests turned off. I am currently rerunning the jobs and will update this comment if it crashes again or if it doesn't crash.

Alphadaemon Posted May 16 Author Posted May 16 Because afterwards there's the dinner cutscene with sprites too big to be handled by the game
PinkTypholsion Posted May 17 Posted May 17 (edited) Hi. I just cleared the dungeon where you get two Mark I stones to evolve my Hero and Party pokemon earlier (Snorunt and Murkrow, respectively.) Is my Snorunt hero supposed to turn shiny when I Evolve it to Froslass? And don’t have the option to evolve into Glalie if I wanted to? I was going to make it a Froslass anyway, but I’m surprised it turned shiny after I evolved it. also,Abra never seems to update the story dungeons after the Protect the time gears section. Also, what does Secret Slab do in this game now that the Legendaries are recruited by any other means? Edited May 18 by PinkTypholsion
Zaiku Posted May 25 Posted May 25 (edited) One of my favorite mods so far. I finally got to play as my favorite mon that's never a starter for these games. Props to the creator. Just would like to know if there's some available documentation/guide for this? Such as Pokemon locations, detailed changes for the dungeons old and new. And not sure if it's a bug but there are certain instances that abilities don't work. Mons with Immunity like Zangoose get poisoned from moves like Poison Gas and Toxic Spikes. Altaria's Cloud Nine doesn't stop weather damage from sandstorm in places like Quicksand Cave. Scizor the explorer also has issues during his escort quests, he keeps casting helping hand every turn til he runs out of pp and it just drags things along. Let us access his movelist so we can disable it. Also, I hope you take a look at Ditto, their ability resets their stats so it renders stat boosting useless. Edited June 10 by Zaiku
PinkTypholsion Posted May 28 Posted May 28 (edited) Currently shiny hunting and here to report some errors. The treasure (Manaphy's Item and the Wonder Gummies at Surrounded Sea doesn't seem to be collectable. I can leave with the warp sone at the bottom but not pickup and items. It also has Pokemon strangely. Including a Shiny Milotic. The Magnemite at Dark Hill is the correct spawn rate and level but its not shiny. Checking Soul Eater's TM description crashes the game. lilyhalfawake Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Greetings Alpha!! I’m a brand new player, this is the first hack I’ve ever downloaded and it’s just fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing your creation with everyone. I have one question right now— may I rename my large body size pokemon? I noticed the game lets allows you to rename any poke as many times as you’d like, through the ‘rename’ option in the menu *as long as* they’re not in 1st or 2nd slot of your team. Naturally then the exception is for large body size like Rayquaza. I can only fit Ray+ 1 other member into my team, which I assume is intended, but as a result I may not access the ‘rename’ option ever for Rayquaza. Is there a way to get around this/a planned fix in future updates? ————-detailed bug reports below! ! sorry for text wall—————— I’ve just beat Darkrai and while playing through I found a handful of what seem to be visual bugs/unintended features, most of which seem like a relatively easy fix. I 100% understand if fixing these aren’t the priority! and none were strictly gamebreaking. But I thought you might like to know from someone who did a fresh playthrough on your newest ver. I can provide screenshots for all of these, let me know if they’d be helpful ! Many apologies if anything I have posted was addressed before, I did skim through all pages of this forum. 1. VISUAL/STORY: Partner is mysteriously named “Baretta” DESC: Throughout the main story, in various cutscenes, my partner (Umbreon)’s name would randomly show up as ‘Baretta’ instead of the name I chose for them. Although technically this doesn’t impact gameplay it definitely bugged me the most haha. The locations I have documented this are as follows: - Luminous Spring (first time visiting): e.g. “Baretta: Why can’t I evolve?” “Baretta: Distortion?” “Baretta: What?! [leader] too?!” - Sharpedo Rock (talking to grovyle and afterward): e.g. “Baretta: Well…I wonder too.” “Baretta: Maybe it was because [leader] stood by me.” “Baretta: B-but..!” - Sadly I am not sure if this is the extensive list, but I am a pretty close reader. 2.. VISUAL: Double of NPC Chatot at guild DESC: During the part of main story where Chatot is announcing guild members chosen for the expedition, his sprite duplicates on screen. 1 Chatot behaves correctly like how he would in the story with the animations (turning to talk, etc) while 1 Chatot is static and just stands there (just like he would on a typical guild day). This ‘extra’ static Chatot also persists into the later part of the cutscene where Chatot is not supposed to be on the screen. This continues till that cutscene ends. Aside from this section, no issues with how Chatot behaves during the rest of the game. EXACT LOCATION: The exact line in the story this starts is “Chatot: The chosen members are written on this memo.” 2. VISUAL: Not tied up by Dusknoir DESC: During the part of main story where you, Grovyle and partner are tied up to pillars by Dusknoir. Grovyle and partner are correctly tied up with just their heads peeking over the rope. But leader appears as their normal sprite would, their entire body is visible in front of the rope and it looks a bit silly. This persists into later parts of the cutscene such as when the sableye strike, the sprite will turn sideways and the whole body will still be visible. EXACT LOCATION: The exact line in the story this starts is “Speech bubble: Humph!” 3. TYPOS I noticed! - ”About Hidden Highand…” ( Should be About Hidden Highland, missing an L, when you go to Porygon2 hidden highland menu) - “We’ve set up a Kangaskhan Rock and Drifblim’s Gondola…” (Should be Porygon2, this line is said by Breloom the first time you are ascending in Shaymin Village) - “Team’s Base” (Should be “Team [Team Name]’s Base”. This is at Sharpedo Rock, when you show the menu.) 4. FREEZE at Shaymin Village (I know others have documented this, wanted to add my own experience) DESC: Game will freeze (audio + visual, no way to escape) no matter what after the opening cutscene in Shaymin Village if you do not select ‘YES’ when prompted to skip the scene beforehand. Important/of note: Disabling daily cutscenes does NOT fix this issue. Tried disable, disable/re enable, etc. Also, I did not have pokes with large body size if that matters. The only thing that fixed it was choosing ‘yes’ when prompted to skip the cutscene. ———————— As a final note, I did everything on Delta simulator for ioS and contrary to some others’ experience I had quite a smooth one so far. Both saving in-game and using save states ran quite well, I experienced some crashes but they were infrequent and likely due to my phone being under stress (low battery, other processes running). I’m playing on Expert mode and my Leader/Partner are Espeon form2 and Umbreon form1 respectively.
BreadSeeker Posted June 6 Posted June 6 (edited) (TLDR) Im a little rusty and completely forgot you can't take requests and get legendaries to join in the same run Sorry if this is already been brought up also i'm unsure if it was intentional I entered altar of dreams with 2 quests to capture outlaws I did one the other sadly broke I still hadn't obtained the Item nor cresselia from the dungeon (was trying to do 2 for one getting the rank points and the dungeon reward at the same time) I got to around floor 35 and unlike the other treasure dungeons It just went straight to mission complete no cresselia was seen and I did not get the fairy recruitment item I also did not unlock the darkrai dungeon that is supposed to come after I'm probably missing something stupid "perhaps you need to bring the dream catcher?" if that is the case I wish I knew before I spent just under an hour getting through the dungeon lol great game still I'm just looking for clarification on whether this is intentional or otherwise. thank you Edited June 6 by BreadSeeker Im a dum

I’m not the dev BUT afaik this works as expected (it is a feature of the original game). So this is not something that Alphadaemon added themselves. Generally speaking if you enter the dungeon with open missions you will not be able to encounter the legendary, etc. This was also true of vanilla EoS, you can confirm it for yourself by searching up forums. You’re not alone though I also found this out after the fact, when I went to shimmer desert with a load of quests, I was so happy to complete them all and then couldn’t find Groudon :’) 60 floors… Anyway, go back without any missions open and you should be good!
BreadSeeker Posted June 6 Posted June 6 (edited) you're so right I have not played Eos in a year or two completely forgot that was a thing lol mb but hey its better for it to happen with a somewhat normal dungeon and remember it now than for it to happen when I got through one of the harder ones thanks for the refresher Edited June 6 by BreadSeeker
BreadSeeker Posted June 9 Posted June 9 (edited) Ooh okay so I just got the stressful intensity of mysteriosity flygon doesnt have much to say about it other than fixed damage and floors of reviver seeds considering its a 1/4000 chance I feel as though I should do some testing (wish I got this luck when terra cognita is added but I won't complain). Did a run of amp plains noticed nothing aside from the expected forced embargo Did a run of crevice cave got a grey floor with no items a monster house and drastically increased spawns Deep crevice cave had a floor of only shiny jynx on floor 2 I was under the impression they only spawned on floor 10 of the first half of crevice cave (I do not know if it effects shinies more often at this level or it just happened to pick shiny jynx out of the pool of all pokemon that coukd spawn to be the singular spawn) I only knew they were shiny when I saw a normal one on the next floor next to the one I had recruited I'll attach a picture of both side by side (sorry for the bad quality i'm on original hardware) I will still reset to test more jynx isnt really my cup of tea nor do I think I have seen very much of this intesity yet this was also extra confusing as one pokemon floors aren't suppsed to happen past a intensity of 5 but it happened dispite the intesity being a 6? Did a run of chasm cave in the future to test if it effected the usually unaffected future dungeons I saw no embargo however I did get a floor of only graveler weirdly The recruit list still listed grimer and porygon despite them never spawning I doubt this was due to mysteriosity due to the lack of other mysterious things happening Serenity river despite not being tied to the story at all wasn't mysterious in the slightest Im convinced there may just be something wrong with shiny jynx spawns as during yet another crevice cave run I found a shiny jinx on floor 4 of deep crevice cave thats 3 different locations so far floor 10 of cc 2 of dcc and 4 of dcc unless stressful mysteriosity makes shinies spawn on all floors not just there designated ones this is strange Does anyone know if its possible to use mystery parts to set it to stressful? I assumed not considerings its 1/4000 naturally but its possible as I have not got any mystery parts yet to test that with after doing around 20 runs of various dungeons I never did get a floor of only reviver seeds either its super rare even on top of the rarity of getting the stressful mysteriosity level or I simply got really unlucky to never find one I had many instances of the grey room only 2 instances of a gold hall I never did find another instance of a shiny only floor nor a species only floor outside of future dungeons which mysteriosity shouldnt effect anyway my final run (in my actual save) with max mysteriosity was to sky stairway In that one run I found 2 golden rooms and 1 golden hall as well as 5-6 grey rooms (I originally made a statement here about mysteriosity potentially changing dungeon length turns out I did a woopsie and forgot to set my difficulty back to expert from when I was grinding blissey before sky stairway and this was actually effecting the length ) I have since gone back through sky stairway with max mysteriosity and it did indeed reach 60 floors like base game so mysteriosity definitely doesn't effect floor count at all though I dont quite get why it would shorten such dungeons seems counter intuitive seeing as vanilla base game still has it go to 60 floors unless you would want to make certain legendaries only spawn on higher difficulties by making them spawn on floors exceeding 30 which is actually a really good idea to reward higher difficulty play I do however want to continue playing the game so I have backed up my save for this point to hopefully test out terra cognita when it is added as well as test out this level of mysteriosity on the side Edited June 11 by BreadSeeker
BreadSeeker Posted June 10 Posted June 10 (edited) Are there any pokemon that are still reliant on secret slab to spawn? FolkPunkDruid Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM (edited) Hi, unsure how else to contact the main author of this romhack since I don't have twitter and cannot DM them directly on discord. I found some minor visual bugs. They bother me enough that I'm learning SkyTemple to make a patch for them for myself. I would be happy to provide this patch when complete, but just in case you are (reasonably) wary of implementing a patch from some unknown amateur on the internet, the visual bugs are: - The animated overworld sprites on the crossroads screen (the one that directly leads to spinda's cafe and the dungeon select screen) are animated roughly x2 as fast as on other screens for some reason. As of writing I am unsure how to fix it. - During some screens in the "hand in outlaw" cutscene with Magnezone in the guild, the portrait uses the regular form, not the shiny. The associated dialogue with the ones I have found is "You brought [outlaw] in for arrest!", "This is the bounty on the outlaw's head!", and "Take this item as your reward!". Other screens seem to be normal, but I haven't tested extensively. Since these use the neutral portrait, and the next dialogue AFTER this correctly uses the shiny neutral portrait, perhaps its a case of the scripting referencing the spriteset for the other version of magnezone? Also, I can't help but notice that most of the UI elements that change colour with gender are a neutral black/grey in this romhack, with the exception of the "Top screen - team stats" page. Not necessarily a bug, but the graphic designer in me is bothered by how it doesn't match the rest of the UI, but its a very minor note. Excellent romhack so far! I've been very much enjoying my time with it. Edited Tuesday at 02:08 PM by FolkPunkDruid Adding minor detail

Not applying random patches from people, also most of what you mentioned is already patched on my end, except for the Outlaw thingy as it's due to the ASM and it's a bug so minimal that I don't feel the need to spend 15 hours debugging one script so I change one portrait color As for the rest of what I didn't answer, it's either bugs already fixed or things already answered previously so I'm not answering them

alphaplayer Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) Hey, just a few questions. Who can actually learn Camaraderie? I've got the TM and 100+ recruits but it seems not one pokemon can learn it? Is it possible to turn on Recruit Em All without restarting the entire game? Edit: I've looked at the challenge options through the L menu but Recruit Em All is missing, most (maybe all) others I can activate, but not this one. Also, the way Recruit Em All is worded is a tad confusing- if I recruit say Wurmple then evolve it to Cascoon, is Wurmple recruitable again as I don't currently have one? I believe that's how it works but confirmation would be great, thanks. I'm currently 140 kills on Shiny Buneary with Friend Bow on and I've never recruited it once- I suspect the odds are 0% or negative right now. And this is frustrating me no end. Overall I've realized that recruit rates as a whole are going to be impossible to find for this game, so I'd like to take advantage of Camaraderie or Recruit Em All to fix this, but I don't want to start again. On a side note, balance so far has been mostly great and I'm loving the romhack- but I think it's really, really unfair giving the Manectrics in the Amp Plains boss fight access to Howl. The entire team will permanently oneshot mine due to howl spam, it just felt deeply unfair. Otherwise, zero real problems with it, amazing hack. Edited 6 hours ago by alphaplayer

Camaraderie available for you at this point is an unintended bug. It's only available for Mew. No Recruit 'em All switch available, otherwise what would be the point to self-impose a challenge? It's designed for speedrunning recruits and nothing else. An item granting 100% recruitment exists much later in the game. Shiny Buneary has a 1/256 chance of being recruited if you are level 100 with a Type-recruiting item. That's part of the Shiny feature and it's more of an endgame endeavor to recruit Shinies. Amp Plains Manectric having Howl has been perfectly balanced for everyone for years and never one-shotted anyone for years too so I wonder how you ended up thinking it was unfair... by this point you have range moves, access to strong TM indefinitely and a larger array of options. It's not designed to be bruteforced.
alphaplayer Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Thanks for the responses! Right, Camaraderie is -that- limited, fair enough. I only got it via googling porygon2 passwords because I was frustrated by the shiny recruit failure, a consequence of the recruit chances not being obvious (which is fine). As for the shiny recruits, yeah it was either gonna be similar to the non-shiny, similar to legendaries (-10%), or similar to kecleon (must be literally capped in recruit rate). It's the latter and I've wasted a couple of days then but, so be it. I regret not starting with Recruit Em All, which is why I was hoping I could enable it midway through a save. This is only really because it's impossible to know recruit chances of pokemon, which is how I ended up with the shiny grind even though it was 0% odds, but I'm glad you answered that (and that that recruit item exists). Thank you. As for the Manectric... range moves don't help unless they're room-wide, right? You start off at an L shape to all enemies and they close the distance into 1 tile range from there, you can't actually hit them from the initial position with linear moves. Room-wide ones though, I guess if you're lucky enough to run into them in the kecleon shop? Or you expect me to not do the main story until I roll roomwide TMs in the shop? It's fine, just I guess I underestimated the difficulty and it's about figuring out your expectations for how I play. Especially because my starters are H sneasel and A vulpix, which I think leaves my only option blizzard? Perhaps you expect me to bring in two more fully trained pokemon (I've just been proceeding with my starters and a stack of reviver seeds), again it's just a matter of me figuring out your expectations, and how much it's a 'difficulty hack' or not. I don't understand how they could not one shot though, given that they get at minimum 3 howls a turn with there being so many of them. They're capped out in attack almost immediately. I'm much beyond that now but, this was by far the biggest hurdle I've come across. Really enjoying it by the way, I think it's just a matter of me setting my expectations to match what you think a player should be doing. Thanks for the info.
