How come it seems like some Pokemon are just randomly shiny? Like Magnezone and Kangaskhan are the ones I've seen so far. Team Charm, Grovyle, Volbeat, and Illumise also appear shiny in the game's intro video before the titlescreen. I'm not complaining or anything, but I'm wondering why the change was made. Because I wanted them to be, nothing else.
kenjosh Posted March 23 Posted March 23 hello! stumbled upon this great hack yesterday and I was wondering if i can modify things such as moveset, iq group of starters, abilities and choosing them as starter using id. ive tried modifying them through skytemple but the patches aren't applied in game. thanks in advance!

No, I made metadata changing impossible through SkyTemple

Parmadelik Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Hi! I've been playing the rom for some time enjoying it without any major bug, but now I'm having a problem at the part about finding all the treasures with scizor. Trying to get the quest to unlock mount thundercap it always appears world abyss as the place so neither I can accept it or unlock the dungeon.I tried to reset several times but it always appears with world abyss as the place. I searched about this bug and looks like other user had it but I didn't find any solution, so I would appreciate if there is something I can do to unlock the dungeon in a different way, because otherwise I think i'm story-locked.
charizavd Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Hiii… I am just wondering how I beat the magmorter battle in upper steam cave? Any tips would be appreciated!
Azure-gin_MXII Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Are Shiny Pokemon Evolution locked? I've got a level 100 shiny Buneary, with 8 star IQ, but Evo is still not possible?
Iystral Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) Thanks for the rom, finished it and put 100 hours+ into it so far. In endgame, I had recruit'em all on the entire game to make recruiting easier, and turned it off for hunting regional forms and shiny legendaries. However, now I find I can't recruit a single shiny legendary in destiny tower after 2 hours of grinding. I can't bring items to boost recruit rates and IQ is turned off. Is it meant to be this difficult or am I missing something that can make it easier? Edited April 8 by Iystral

I have been deeply humbled by this game tearing me a new one and it's such a refreshing and hilarious experience for me personally. I made an account (just now...) mainly to ask a question here for confirmation. I've been having occasional crashes when transitioning between dungeon floors. It doesn't happen too often, but tonight it's been happening very frequently while trying to complete Mt. Horn during the expedition chapter so I wanted to get a little insight on if this is a romhack issue or an emulator issue I'm playing on BizHawk v2.9.1 for reference. If there's a recommended emulator in the initial notes for best performance, I will admit!! ...I skimmed most of the notes...... I'm sorry! I've restarted and played up to Mt. Horn on DeSmuME and can confirm that it was almost certainly a BizHawk emulator issue. I'm now in Foggy Forest on DeSmuME and have only experienced maybe 2 or 3 crashes the entire time replaying from the beginning compared to the much more frequent crashes on BizHawk. Soooo I'll say problem self-solved! I am too experiencing many crashes especially at Mt. Horn. I think it has something to do with the rendering of specific pokémon/sprites – although not sure, I'm playing with randomized pokémon, so crashing often at Mt. Horn like you would be a coincidence I guess. So there is probably more to this. I tried playing through Mt. Horn with DesmuME and melonDS. Both are crashing pretty regularly here for me. I once got to a floor and was able to reproduce a crash after the game tried to render a parasect. With save states and a lot of trying I could get around it using long distance attacks, so the parasect was defeated before being rendered. However, in another playthrough through Mt. Horn it did *not* crash after encountering a parasect. Very strange. My current approach is to save state before entering a dungeon if necessary and playing all floors until I get through crashless. It's very painful since this is like my 10th attempt. Wish me luck. Edit: I needed 3 more tries to make it all the way to Fogbound Lake. All the crashes happened at Mt. Horn. After that no more. SteakCheese Posted Sunday at 01:32 AM Posted Sunday at 01:32 AM I've found... something, in the Dungeon Hints -> Controls section of the menus. The first six instructions are yellow. I'm guessing this is one of these password hints, but it's still fairly obtuse to me. Well, I've finished the first half of the game. The added features and Pokémon are nice, but sometimes the difficulty feels more like... vague, I guess, than really something testing my knowledge. But it's hard to make this genre feel fairly challenging compared to others, I think.
