Legitimately obtained Tornadus Therian Forme caught in Pokemon Legends: Arceus is flagged as illegal after being transferred to and from Pokemon Sword. The transfer was done through Pokemon HOME for both ways.

The transformation to Therian Forme was done in Pokemon Sword, which I assume is the reason why it is being flagged.

Edit: Interestingly, using the Reveal Glass in Pokemon Legends: Arceus twice fixes it.

It seems there's a difference in Pokemon Sword and Legend: Arceus' Height's AV value calculations.

Probably is because of HOME restoring the wrong calculated values, and you were able to reset them by changing the form in game. Not worth fixing in PKHeX as it looks like a HOME misbehavior.

dratini knowing Leer from dragons den in crystal virtual console. the leer is flagging as not a possible move, dratini attached

Did you catch this in-game or did you modify this? Dratini can only be caught between level 10 to 14 in Crystal, yours has a met level of 15. HGSS changed the spawn to have a met level of 15.

this was the dragons den gift from answering the questions. the extreme speed one for getting them all right is legal but it gets leer if you get them wrong (i want both because reasons) and this is the leer one. hope that helps

This thread is for reporting issues with PKHeX for legitimate pokemon, not for issues with other tools.

As of last week, Poipole can now be transferred from Pokemon Go to Home. But any legitimate Poipole from Go is still flagged as illegitimate by PkHeX ("Unable to match an encounter from origin game"). Attached is an example of a legitimate Poipole transferred from Go to Home that is flagged as illegitimate.

Edit: Charcadet, Armarogue, and Ceruledge were also just added to Pokemon Go this week and are able to be transferred to Home, so I'm sure the same problem applies for them as well. I don't have my own example to provide though.

The latest release is from January, and the Pokémon GO legality binaries are only manually updated every release.

Recognition of Poipole being legal was added last week: https://github.com/projectpokemon/PoGoEncTool/commit/52434003764fe2a2dfaf137c558320979e515b4f

Not sure if this is the right place to report this, but PkHeX's legality checker is currently flagging Gen 4 Fishing encounters with Cute Charm PIDs that aren't accurately predicted by PokeFinder. This isn't consistent and doesn't affect all spreads; below are two Remoraids generated from the same encounter method during the same play session (on unmodified retail obv):

illegal.png.11e7be87aed564e914d6b0d97778abaa.pngUntitled.png.f922b6a225a8dba4aff60a609cc68475.png

The first is a spread that PokeFinder is blind to, the second one isn't. A couple more examples of unpredictable fishing spreads being flagged:

shellder.png.ba025e7660fd8bf527dca80e8c0661ae.pngbarb.png.2b658767ad838ed202674aec43e8be86.pngswarm.png.d22432d9b7f4de934fbec7ffce84453b.png

PkHeX also can't find an RNG frame for any Honey Tree encounter, seemingly regardless of PID type. Example:Untitled.png.db609618339191beb26ec41695eecb8f.pngwurmple.png.4bddae947cb3b14725bc720e6a0ee6aa.png

This is probably the fault of PokeFinder's limitations, but the false positives are worth bringing to attention regardless.

Latest commit is also flagging spreads exclusive to Pressure/Hustle/Vital Spirit lead
chansey1.png.139eab5a3615f5a49c0081a5dfbf4ae6.png

Do you have any info regarding the setup (seed) for this encounter? I don't see it in Pokefinder, or a frame where you get a Slot 11 roll for the regular result. Does Hustle/Pressure/Vital Spirit behave differently for Wild Pokemon (not forcing max level for the slot)?

It appears in Slot 1 while a swarm is active. This spread/Pokemon combo doesn't occur without a Pressure/etc lead; without a lead the same spread appears on the next frame, in a different encounter slot

So I started playing Pokemon Pearl on my NDS Lite recently and had used RNG Manipulation to setup the Cute Charm Glitch, so after RNGing a Shiny Ranger Manaphy and catching a handful of Pokemon from the Honey Trees, I wanted to check my save to see if I had any Wurmple that could evolve into Silcoon or Beautifly, but when I was looking through my party and boxes I noticed Invalid/Illegality Marks on all of my Honey Tree encountered Pokemon, each Alert says "Invalid: Unable to match encounter conditions to a possible RNG frame." but each one I've caught using the Cute Charm Glitch.

I'm using PKHex (20240310).

The Pokemon Marked Invalid are the 2 Wurmple in my Party and the 2 Burmy, 1 Combee, 1 Vespiquen, 1 Cherubi, 1 Cherrim, and 1 Aipom all in Box 2

The method of Encounters used are the Honey Trees in Floaroma Meadow, Route 205(South), and Valley Windworks all with using the Cute Charm Glitch

Levels met at are Lvl10 for Wurmple, Lvl14 for Wurmple, Lvl13 for Burmy, Lvl12 for Burmy, Lvl14 for Combee, Lvl15 for Vespiquen, Lvl13 for Cherubi, Lvl14 for Cherrim, and Lvl15 for Aipom

I have not edited any of the listed Pokemon in any way, no moves have been changed/added/deleted, I have trained and evolved/trained a few of them for the Pokedex entries in game, and I haven't edited any of their PIDs/IVs/EVs/Weights/Heights/etc.

edited by Kaphotics: save file removed/hidden -- everything is fine on the latest commit :)

I had PKHex (20240112) falsely identify "illegal contest stats" on a Milotic I was raising in RSE. At the time, it had 255 (max) in its highest individual contest stat, 160 in its lowest stat, and 160 in sheen. For some reason, PKHeX explicitly said that it should have "at least 161 sheen" in order to be legal, and I'm not sure why. I was basically following the method outlined in this video to feed it black Pokeblocks that have low stats but also extremely low Feel values, which allows you to max out each individual stat well before maxing out the sheen at 255.

Once I fed it enough garbage to max out every stat plus the sheen at 255 each, PKHeX stopped flagging it as illegal.

Premier ball Zarude is illegal, has never been a thing, but Pkhex thinks it's legal.

And there is a premier ball Zarude in the encounter database.

Working as intended; players could abuse a bug with GO to use the premier ball in situations outside of their normal use.

Hi! I have a CHANNEL Jirachi from way back when, in my Colosseum save (circa 2004). As far as I remember, I haven't touched it at all, besides normal gameplay (it has like 3 EVs). However, the latest update (24.03.26) throws a legality error. I'm a bit scared, since, when HOME came out, I cloned most of these (by backing up the saves) and sent them up all the way to HOME, so this Pokémon is now in my HOME account and went through my Sword version. Here are two versions of it:

385 - Jirachi - 62EC2A04C3A5.pk80385 - JIRACHI - 519F2A04C3A5.ck3

Could this be an error?

Thanks in advance

Thanks! So the Jirachi is definitely fine? It's literally been 20 years, so I couldn't be 100% sure if there had been any tampering (I only remember using AR for Rare Candies, Master Balls and the like)

I've re-uploaded the exe (hotfix); funny I included it so prominently in the changelog without testing it thoroughly :P
