You should read this post. It explains why it happens and how to prevent it. Changing the trainer name breaks the tracker. You must change it to zero and edit the pokémon in the correct game. Pokémon from old gens, go and SWSH must be edited in SWSH, BDSP pokémon in BDSP, PLA pokémon in PLA, SV pokémon in SV. If you edit a pokémon from SWSH in BDSP and has a wrong tracker it will lose its ball.

There was a way to dump the app packets by using Charles proxy. Trainer Tips made a video in 2016. I think something similar could be done with Home, but I lack the technological knowledge to do it. Also tried dumping my Switch nand to extract the save files and preserve my pokemon but it seems that my console is patched and RCM payload injectors just crash.

Is it possible to dump all pokemon from the mobile version? I want to preserve them but at the same time don't want to hack my switch. I know that there was a similar tool for pokemon Go some time ago, so it should be possible, right? Thanks.

Hello. How does the tracker work in 2.0? According to this tweet all the extra pokemon data is removed and stored server-side now (pokeball, met location, origin mark, alpha mark and EVS). The Home tracker value is what joins everything together when you move a pokemon from a game to another. This raises some questions: Let's say I caught a Psyduck in Legends and move it to pokemon Sword. 1) Is the tracker checked globally or per account? What happens if I trade that Psyduck to a friend in Sword? Will it lose all its Legends data if my friend moves that Psyduck back to Home? 2) If the tracker is global then what's the deal with cloned pokemon? What happens if my friend clones that Psyduck and gives me one of the clones? There would be two pokemon with the same Home tracker. Thank you.
