kuoleva Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Mine have to be, in no particular order: Lord of the Rings (All three of them, I know the entire monologue done by Galadriel in the beginning of the first movie ) Underworld (Only the first one, Evolution wasn't as good as it should've been, and I have yet to see Rise of the Lycans) Shaun of the Dead (The best comedy ever I <3 Simon Pegg, he's amazing) Star Trek (Lord, the cast was perfect. Chekov had the most adorable, yet bad, accent. Spock was just epic, Sylar = Spock, anyone? And then we have Simon Pegg as Scotty, can you get any more perfect?) The Dark Knight (One of the best films ever, I still wonder if Christian Bale is as much of a jerk as he seems. ) What are yours?
Endless Eden Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I quite like, Eastern promises("aragorn" from lord of the rings is in it) all the die hard series especially "with a vengeance" there will be blood this is just a brilliant film and no country for old men brilliant also I just saw the hangover a while ago it is hilarious so add it to the above list
Okami Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 RENT has been one of my favorites since I saw it for the first time last Spring Break. The love in it is beautiful, the music flawless. It is one I would like to see the actual play of. I may not believe in what it promotes. But everything, through the homelessness and STDs and homosexuality, it is wonderful. Plus.... Roger is gorgeous, his voice makes me want to melt. And the scene where they're singing the song "Will I?" during one of the support group scenes...priceless. It makes me sob every time. The Dark Knight is very high on my list. The psychology involved with the Joker's character is stunningly beautiful. I was very glad that Ledger (or, his family rather) got the Oscar. I'm not a big movie watcher, so I guess that's all I can give for right now. =/
Turtlekid2 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The Matrix. Lord of the Rings trilogy is quite good too, but it needed Tom Bombadil.
wraith89 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 (edited) Eh... I like romance and medieval movies and kids movies in general. I don't think I have a favorite Old movies mostly. Modern movies are horrid for the most part. Edited June 11, 2009 by wraith89
kuoleva Posted June 10, 2009 Author Posted June 10, 2009 The Matrix was good, but after the first, it kind of went downhill. :< Kids movies are awesome, Wall-E was amazing! <3
HottSushiz Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Wall-E it was pretty boring, until Wall-E got onto the ship, where the fat people lived. Hmm i really haven't got a favorite, there really hasn't been a movie that made me watch it over and over again, except..... *Drum Rolls* I seriously don't know why, but this movie possibly made me laughed the most, out of the movies I've seen, which is a lot, usually i don't really like movies that have Jack Black, but this movie was pure hilariousness, and awesome! Although i did like Quarantine, even though i hated the main character, but that movie would of came 2nd.
darklord Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 the new star trek the only let down is the skinny Scotty but i loved the part i never thought your species was so weak igyg you can't evenspeck i go yo g what!? i got your gun bang
Turtlekid2 Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 The only thing I didn't like about Star Trek is that they made Kirk about as weak as Picard in a fist fight. Every trekkie knows Kirk is no wimp.
Okami Posted June 10, 2009 Posted June 10, 2009 Wall-E was indeed amazing. Probably the best kids movie out there, because it was truthful, and not full of adult humor like a lot of kids movies place =/
Melesmelda Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Moulin Rouge! is definitely my favorite--just absolutely fantastic sets, costumes, music, acting... Ewan McGregor has the sexiest voice ever. Other than that, most animated films, especially Watership Down.
Dr. Strangelove Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 In no particular order: Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (if it wasn't obvious already) Requiem for a Dream Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind The Prestige The Usual Suspects Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas The Dark Knight The Great Dictator Memento Miracle Mile and a whole bunch of others. I'm a movie freak.
hellrazekid13 Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Pan's Labyrinth Star War (Return of the Jedi being my favorite of all 6) Close Encounters of the Third Kind Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas The Fountain 2001:A Space Odyssey Talladega Nights:The Ballad of Ricky Bobby 8 Crazy Nights Natural Born Killers Pokemon 2000 Punch Drunk Love Dazed and Confused
Enzo Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 There aren't any better movies. I am sure of it. All other movies seriously suck in comparison.
Godzilla231 Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 My favorite movie that tops all my movies would be Transformers (2007) The movie had awesome SFX, the actors were cool, and not to mention, it had the voice of the first Optimus Prime, Peter Cullen. then follows(not in order) Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen jackass: number two (Unrated) Teancious D: The Pick of Destiny Gojira(ゴジラ)/Godzilla: King of the Monsters! Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! Clerks II Clerks Nacho Libre Happy Gilmore Big Daddy Super High Me Metallica: Some Kind of Monster Harold and Kumar: Go To White Castle I think thats about it.
SilentFox Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 i am normally anti movie and i almost never have favorites of anything but Saving Private Ryan.... Black Hawk Down Platoon Band of Brothers The Hunt For Red October Pearl Harbor War movies mostly
wraith89 Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 There aren't any better movies. I am sure of it. All other movies seriously suck in comparison. There was a movie for Les Miserables??? That I HAVE to see
Doc Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 WHITE CHICKS!.. Seriously though, i like things like Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown and also most sci~fi
Akaria Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 I can still watch the first Shrek after all these years and still enjoy it.
