Deoxys_King started following Mirage Island Tool Problem.
-
A few years ago, I managed to get to Mirage Island by chance, but unfortunately I didn't realize how rare it is. I’ve been trying for a long time now, but haven’t had any luck. While researching, I found the Mirage Island tool, downloaded it, and wanted to test it right away. I followed the instructions exactly as they’re written online, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work. It doesn’t show up in pKhex, and I don’t even get an error report. What could be the problem? What can I do to make it work? I made sure I have the correct versions of pKhex and the Mirage Island tool. I’d really appreciate any help.

Very strange request. I want to manipulate the NEW icon on start screen entries like 'UNOVA LINK, BATTLE COMPETITION, GAME SYNC SETTINGS'. Specifically, I want to add the NEW icon back to Unova Link. I would think this would be a simple hex edit, but unfortunately these entries are all tied to the defunct Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection feature and you must connect to it remove the NEW icon. Ergo, I can't experiment to see where the flags are in memory. Can anyone tell me where to look? Thanks!

I don't think it's possible to recruit anyone in Temporal Tower (edit: except dialga) (even in the base game)... -
Please could I have my username changed to “Shadow GWR” thank you

Ah, good to know. Thought I might have been screwing something up myself. Thanks anyway for the quick response.

The ROM (the game you are playing) forcing stats back to what it thinks is sane while the game is running is not something a save file editor can override. You need to reprogram the game to change its behavior to not do that anymore; either via cheat code while the game is running, or modify the ROM. Again, not something a save file editor is for -- a save file editor edits save files.

I'm farming time gears, but every now and then, I encounter a semi transparent speed Deoxys in Temporal Tower 5F. I guess, my luck is not high, since it never wants to join, but why is it semi transparent? btw, is there a changelog? I play on a version from 7.May 2025 and would like to know, if it's "worth" updating/upgrading -
First off, I love this app. You do awesome work. Now, the question I have is about hax mode. When editing the stats, saving/exporting, then starting the game (in this case, X) the changed stats appear correct on the summary screen, but immediately change back to whatever the default is after a battle or after switching. Is there a way to keep the changed stats afterwards, or am I just missing something? For example in case I'm not explaining it right: I change the HP of the first pokemon in my party to 999. When I load the game, it shows up correctly. When I start a battle, it still shows up correctly. However, afterwards it reverts back to what it was before I changed it. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is just how the game handles these things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yoo! I didn't see this for a long time. Did you get it to work? Usually, issues with installing are to do with incorrect homebrew setup. I outlined it a little bit in the Troubleshooting Section. The best think you can do, is reinstall CIOS in Homebrew. Look up the tutorial, and make sure you get the latest version. That's what fixed it for me, and fixes it for lotso folks too! Download SGMGX from here, there's a download button on the tab on the right hand side. I don't know why you're decompressing the Data.bin file, it should work as-is. Make sure you're using the right region? Maybe it's not showing up if you actually have a EUR copy of PBR, or something? The basic steps are outlined in the file description. You open PBR without my save, go into the game, SAVE the game, then quit the game. This creates a save file for mine to override. Next, export that save to your SD card, with SGMGX. You switch between the menus for Wii or SD card by clicking the respective Icon on the top menu; wii mode lets you extract FROM wii TOO SD card, and SD card mode lets you put it FROM SD card TO the wii. Make sure you're on the right mode. Once you exported the save to the SD card, remove from wii, put in computer, then replace MY PBRSaveData file with the one you just extracted; dont change anything else in the file structure. Finally, instert SD card back into wii, go to SD card mode on SGMGX, click PBR, click INSTALL, then, should be all it takes! If this fails, it's very likely you need to reinstall CIOS. Good luck!

Maybe some emulators don't create a 1:1 actual-like save file, so there could be some issues in "trash bytes". Maybe, in my case, that Crobat came from an old bootleg copy and other mons I have could come from emulator (shiny mons probably obtained with RNG manipulation). @Kaphotics could this be a correct explanation? Is there a way to "clean" these Pokémons?

Dear Slayer, Would you be a superstar and remove all previous versions one more time for me? I have now completed all of the little changes, and am done translating the project into every language. I won't be updating it anymore. If you can remove all of the previous versions of the linked file below, as well as doing the same for all of the 5 other languages linked at the top of the description, I would be eternally grateful!! https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/file/5057-pokemon-battle-revolution-complete-savefile-all-fully-evolved-pokemon-competitive-builds-little-cup-custom-passes-for-iconic-trainers/

I don’t make ROM hacks and I don’t know the actual answer to your question, but in Platinum there is a programming oversight that does allow for the Rotom forms to be used in the battle frontier. In double battles if Rotom is in the fourth party slot the game does not do the form check allowing it to be permitted. It isn’t an exact answer, but it could help lead you to your desired results. I see people ask questions like this on occasion here and they don’t usually get answered so this is probably the best answer you’re going to get on this forum.

Hi, My partner and I are looking to play through Red/Blue on our 3DSes, but disappointingly those releases don't include the option to use the Gameboy Color's pallet swapping, since they're strictly GB emulators. I want to keep the convenience of reliable and official link-cable emulation, since GameYob's multiplayer emulation is pretty inconsistent, and I don't want to need to swap my save file back and forth each time I want to trade/battle. But I'd really like to be able to play in color. Is there any known method of patching the official release to enable GBC colors? Thank you! EDIT: Alright folks I've since 7h ago learned many more things. You actually can inject (using NSUI) a native launcher app for Pokemon Red with link play AND using a custom color pallet. BUT! Using the GBC Custom Color Pallet seemingly disables the 'blank screen' LCD color feature that some gameboy games use to show, well, a blank screen. Which leads to all kinds of strange glitchy graphics when entering/exiting menus. Anyone encountered and resolved this?

I'm looking to remove the form restrictions for the Battle Frontier in Platinum, specifically I'm looking to make it so that Rotom, Shaymin and Giratina do not revert to their base form when entered into the Battle Frontier. I'm editing a hack by taking legendaries and mythicals and scaling them down to normal Pokémon stats. I've already used hex editing to remove the species restrictions, and both Giratina and Shaymin can enter now along others. But even after reading the post by ABZB on this topic, those three still revert. Giratina's Griseous Orb is removed, as well. I've taken a look at the rom in DSPRE, and it looks like I can edit the scripting for the battle facilies, but I don't know what to do there. I'm not too sure, but it seems like the code there may include lines that check for form and held item, and then change them back. If anyone can help me with this, from solving this issue to at least directing me to where I can learn how to use DSPRE, I would be very thankful.

Love the program! Just had noticed a slight problem Was depositing my mons from my Gold playthrough and noticed that PKVault doesn't like the Pink Bow. Instead it shows up named as Battle Pocket with only a question mark picture. Probably not the end of the world but would be nice to see fixed. -

i get a dark screen on the Johto starters and total freezes on wild encounters. Does it take hours to calculate or is it a freeze problem i am having? -
Been browsing the download section and can see some collections of Home compatible Pokemon but they often have imperfect IVs. Wondering if there are any Home compatible with working trackers for the following with maximum IVs and also being shiny (except for shiny locked Pokemon), for Scarlet/Violet. Original game OT (if they come from Sword, or Brilliant Diamond, GO) does not matter: Virizion Entei Suicune Regigigas Regirock Registeel Regice Deoxys Solgaleo Lunala Necrozma Lugia Ho-Oh Latios Latias Keldeo Cobalion Terrakion Virizion Raikou Kyurem Reshiram Zekrom Shaymin Darkrai Jirachi Manaphy Arceus Azelf Mesprit Uxie Rayquaza Kyogre Groudon Zapdos Moltres Articuno Zapdos Galarian Moltres Galarian Articuno Galarian Mewtwo Mew Landorus Thundurus Tornadus Enamorus Diancie Eternatus Zacian Zamazenta If someone has these, or at least some of them and can post them, I would appreciate it.

I'm trying to make a hack for black 1, and one of my goals is to remove the professor's speech and the character select screen, but I cannot find any tutorials or leads for the life of me. So far, I have gathered the following: - The text for the section is in text file 44 of the game text - The code is somewhere in one of the overlays (google overview said it was in 27, but it's not a reliable source) Anyone got any pointers or anything? (I also sent this in the discord server for this site as well as some other romhacking servers; I am a desperate man)

JLSgolden started following When does a Pokemons memory update in Gen 6
-
Titel basically. I've read the whole website on Bulbapedia about memories but it doesn't have the answer. Question is simple: Does a Pokemons memory update every single time I do a memorable action in X and Y? Say 6 Pokemon of mine have different memories each, will every single one of them change to "remembers that it battled at trainers side and defeated the gym leader" if I use them to defeat the gym leader or is it basically just a percentage chance so some will get it and some wont? Would really appreciate an answer
