I know there's lots of discussions on this but couldn't find the nuance so wanted to ask here. With ZA, Pokopia, Champions, and Gen10 announce, I've been getting back into Pokémon lately after being away from series for like a decade. Started playing Violet on emu since I remembered hearing about terrible performance, ended up really liking it and bought the cart but got addicted and played like 100 hours on the emu save before the cart got here. I wanted to put the save from emu to the Switch, but the issue is that the Switch has been online (without violet) while I was playing violet on emu - so if I load the save into the Switch via nand mount, I'm afraid of a log detecting discrepancy in save date data (adventure started date is during period while switch is online AND having no violet game activity). My idea is to take the switch offline for a while (like month+), then later use pkhex batch edit on my save to revise adventure start date & all pokemon caught under same TID to be within a period of time that the switch is "offline", and then load the save in. Is this really dumb? I haven't touched pkhex since 3DS era and not sure if there are other parts of modern online environment that are hidden tracked in the logs - for example, became champion on ___ date, ___ pokemon's PID could only be caught on ___ date, etc. I assume the safest way to keep all the pokemon is to make new game on Switch 2, load the violet save I have now onto Switch1 emunand, then link trade...but would be a bummer to have to go redo all of the exploration and cutscenes etc just to have a "complete" working save even if the pokedex part is mostly trivialized. Any advice/experience on above would be appreciated!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Fortune

Love this rom hack, but there is no tepig, pignite or emboar in the game? kinda seems silly to have oshawott and snivy lines without the tepig line -

Thank you! Have it backed up now, yeah. All successful. I'm still thinking on it. I like the idea that it's mine and is individual and a particular piece of my childhood, and not cloned repeatedly by anyone who wants it. On the other hand, being the only one preserved from that event would be really cool. I need to go dig around in any 2000 photo wallets knocking about to see whether I have any photos from the day too. Thank you again for your replies, kind of you to help, I really appreciate it. And so quickly too.

Now that looks to be the correct Mew Funny how all of the UK-based Mew distributions have the OT UK. I definitely recommend backing up that Mew. The Mews distributed at the Pokemon Championship 2000 and the Bluewater Shopping Center have been preserved, and even though it's a similar event there's technically not one preserved from Millennium Dome. Or even if you don't want to share it, it's great to have it backed up so you don't lose it in the future.

Aha! Thank you so much for your help. I got very disappointed, but thinking there is no way that was possible - given I never knew the Mew glitch, and was pretty certain on my chain of custody of my Millennium Dome Mew - I checked my brother's Red cart, which is miraculously also still alive, and bingo my Mew is there. I guessed that the only way I had a glitch Mew was if I accidentally traded the wrong one back to my Yellow cart. Thank you! OT is UK too.

Yea, I was going more for modifying mons in your box already. May be worth having them be able to be built up from scratch from input.

For many, if not all gen 1 events, you can't really rely on the auromated PKHeX analysis since they're not programmed to be validated by the program. Comparing with Bulbapedia would be better to match the known event details to your own. Unfortunately the Millennium Dome Mew has an OT that's not publicly known. AI is also generally not recommended to be taken as fact, but in this case they're right. All Mews in gen 1 were distributed by a special Mew machine and the DVs for all Mews are the same. ASH as an OT doesn't have any special meaning as a distributed event, usually the OTs would be location-based. And I haven't done it myself, but I'm sure there were easy ways in the hen 1 games to generate a Mew, I think with your OT and ID details? I would doubt the Mew is real.

Hi all, I went to the Pokémon adventure event at the Millennium Dome in September 2000 and was transferred a Mew there. With some level of certainty, the Mew I still have on my Pokemon Yellow cartridge is the same Mew. I have restarted the game a few times over the years, and each time would trade the Mew on to my brother's Pokemon Red cartridge, and trade it back so I could keep hold of it. Having recently fetched my cartridge from my childhood bedroom, I was delighted to find that it was still working, and the battery was somehow still hanging on in there. Consulting with AI, I was encouraged to buy a GBxCart RW and back my file up. It did however tell me stats that it would expect a Mew obtained at this event to have. Namely a OT with a simple short name, and IVs 5 HP, 10 Attack, 1 Defense, 12 Speed, 5 Special My OT is ASH, and my IVs are 2 HP, 12 Attack, 10 Defense, 7 Speed, 4 Special PKHeX also says: "Not legal Encounter: Invalid: Unable to match an encounter from origin game. Fateful: Invalid: Fateful Encounter with no matching Encounter. Has the Mystery Gift data been contributed?" Now, again, I am 99% sure this Mew is the real deal - does any of what I'm describing seem within the realms of possible? Or are the known event Mews from that tour all so consistent that it means something is off here? Thanks for your help! Very new to all this. Arthur

I tried the plugin out of curiosity. It’s fine. Usually, I ask any Ai to create sets in pokepaste format, and then I import them using the AutoLegality mod plugin. tested with deps boxes. pcdata-stra-deps3.bin

Pokemon Champions event mons preservation?
Kaphotics replied to SwagKey's topic in Events Help and Questions
no there's no exfiltration of data from Champions into HOME; all Champions data stays in Champions. I'm not sure how useful data rips would be of individual pokemon if it's simply "species-form, moveset", because said rips would be unusable aside from any text notation which can be manually entered via observation (eyes). -
I know this may sound like a ridiculous idea, but would it be worth it to preserve the event Pokemon of this title? They seem to have the same data types as main series games, and from a preservationist standpoint once the servers shut down they'll also go along with it. It may be worth looking into, and even though using them may be impossible just having their extracted data is enough to at least archive considering how this site strives to preserve event Pokemon no matter how obscure it is.

theSLAYER's PKHeX Plugins General Support
theSLAYER replied to theSLAYER's topic in Saves - Editing Help
Yeah didn’t intend to support WB8 -> Wonder Records in BDSP, as there’s additional info written into Wonder Records. You could use SGDM to receive it, and it’ll naturally have a wonder record written. -
Hello, I would like to know why Vulpix has no access to Map Surveyor, despite being group G, and 10 stars IQ. Do I miss something?
