Hi! I'm Lesaath, I'm new to creating hack roms (except for a really bad sapphire one I did like 8 years ago) but I played a lot both GBA/NDS and RPG Maker fan games. What I want to do is creating a game/rom based on the Sinnoh of ~20 years before the D/P games and you play as a young Cynthia that starts her adventure. I have a more clear idea in my mind (so if needed I will post more) but basically is that, you start in Celestic Town and then it will be basically a normal pokemon game of the main series. Now, the reason I am making this topic is that I don't know how to proceed to make things well. First of all I'm divided into trying to work with RPG Maker or NDS Roms (even because Idk how much you can edit with NDS tools). A little advice on what should I use and what is the best way to proceed for the project would be really appreciated ^^ Thanks to everyone that will answer and sorry if this is not the right section ^^"

I did get the national dex by using PkHeX rather than the usual method of seeing all pokemon but I did capture Heatran legitimately. I continue facing the second match teams but not the third match teams. I am not sure if that national dex cheesing ruined something but I cannot face the updated team even after beating the elite four four times.

Okay, I'm writing this thread to see if anyone can tell me a little bit more about how Cynthia's Togepi egg location works in Pokesav. According to Preston's guide on the hidden hex values, the game assigns the location "Shirona/Cynthia" to 2011, which is the Hall of Fame in Diamond and Pearl, but because of the additions of hidden hex values, Platinum is able to read it as Cynthia. How does that display when traded over to D/P ??? Does it go with Far Away Place? Or does it say Hall of Fame? Also, I opened up my Togepi in Pokesav (while it was still on my Platinum save) and it had the location set to 3002, Far Away Place... Is that how Pokesav reads it? Would saving the Togepi at 3002 mess it up in the future? I didn't save it and just backed out, cause I'm trying to keep my Platinum as un-altered as possible... Let me know what you know, if you know anything more.

In Pokemon Platinum, in your Villa, when cynthia comes and visits, she hints at her house being a secret and it's not even in the same region. Could it be hinting at Johto? Nah, possibly hinting at Generation 5 most likely.
