  1. Hi there, i'm new to the forum and to all the room hacking stuff. I'd like to now how do I add new overworld pokémons, like the legendaries already are in Pokémon BW Version 2. For example: When you fight Reshiram, you just talk to Reshiram's overworld sprite. I'd like to add more pokémons like this in other maps, lika an Lugia somewhere, and a Mewtwo somewhere. And if anyone now someway to hex editing or any tool to edit the pokémon's evolution, I'm really nedding it. Thanks a lot.
  2. I could really use some help with a hack of HeartGold I'm trying to make. Here's the basics: - major story/plot changes, though Kanto and Johto are now counted as the same region (which I may rename) - every major character (gym leaders, Frontier brains, elite 4, Red, as well as some generic characters to fill background roles) will be replaced. - Upon defeat, the gym leaders/elite 4/etc. will give up a Legendary Pokemon (more on that later) - Levels will be increased for difficulty - some types may be changed such as Gyrados, Charizard, and the Porygon line (Water/Dragon, Fire/Dragon, and Normal/Electric respectively except Porygon-Z might be an Electric/Psychic) - NO TRADE EVOLUTIONS! (or have the trades given by random trainers who trade said trade evolutions, i.e. Slowpoke w/ King's Rock for Magikarp or something) - in addition to aforementioned gym leaders, the player character(s), Professor Elm and Oak, and even Mom (or Dad in SS) will receive new sprites (or new in the Dad character's case). - Legendary Pokemon will be unobtainable through any other means aside from defeating their respective Gym Leaders (or an option battle in Kanto Route 25 for a Phione) (I know this one doesn't sound as fun, but I'll get to something better). - Safari Zone/Pal Park houses all 493 Pokemon and serves as the Safari Zone; may or may not redistribute Type levels (Tundra- Ice, Mountain- Rock, Desert- Ground, Factory- Steel, etc. but may be difficult to program). - One-off sprites in random trainer battles (unobtainable Gen5 Pokemon, recolors such as black Meowth, Shadow Lugia, and Primal Dialga) (I may not keep this one around if it seems like a bad idea). - Rival Battles are now totally gone; instead, they will be replaced with "Nemesis Battles" which are basically one-shot rival battles, each one (except the first) netting a Legendary of their own. With that, let's move on to how each of the Legendary Pokemon are distributed: 1- Shaymin, 2- Regirock, 3- Jirachi, 4- Entei, 5- Giratina, 6- Registeel, 7- Rayquaza, 8- Darkrai, 9- Articuno, 10- Palkia, 11- Deoxys, 12 & 13- Lugia and Ho-Oh (double battle), 14-20- Moltres, Mewtwo, Celebi, Groudon (who may or may not become Fire/Ground), Regigigas, and Arceus w/ Draco Plate (the champion will net 3 random Legendaries and the rest on rematch, which may be difficult to execute in future rematches), 21- Heatran, 22- Uxie, 23- Cresselia, 24- Manaphy, 25- Kyogre, 26- Latias, 27- Suicune, 28- Regice, (Nemesis battles in order of appearence, not in chronological order to the above Kanto/Johto Leagues) 29- Mew, 30- Mespirit, 31- Latios, 32- Azelf, 33- Zapdos, 34- Raikou, (the final battle, Red's fight at Mt. Silver, is not available until all 35 prior--not counting the optional Phione battle--have been obtained; Mt. Silver itself, however, is accessible) 35- Dialga; you'll also get the option of naming them upon obtaining them. I need a sprite editor, map editor, trainer editor (obviously), script editor, wild PKMN editor, starter editor (I had the idea of making version exclusive starters--with evos shortened or edited where needed to reach final stages earlier than their canon versions; Shinx, Ralts, and Dratini in HG and Duskull, Aron, and Larvitar in SS), and lastly, I could really use someone to do some sprite editing work for me since I lack the talent.
  3. Just wondering cause once my r4 arrives, I plan to attempt to dump my games so I don't have to carry around anything but my ds, and of course heart gold and soul silver. I DO NOT want any links to roms. Also I WILL NOT be uploading anything I dump. (HERE, or ANYWHERE for that matter) I only want to know what the proper sizes clean roms can be, so I can make sure that when I dump, I dump clean. (Mainly pokemon, but also any game since pokemon arent the only games I own) So far I have: GB/GBC: 256-KB, 512-KB, 1-MB, 2-MB, 4-MB, 8-MB GBA: 4-MB, 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB NDS: 8-MB, 16-MB, 32-MB, 64-MB, 128-MB, 256-MB 512-MB I think I have all the sizes on gameboy/color/advance. But the ds I only estimate from some of the things I have read. any help is appreciated thanks -cbowling

  5. Sorry if this doesn't go here, didn't know where to post it. I wanted to know if someone could explain me in which system are written the Pokémon names, abilities, natures, items and most important, the moves for bw and hgss games, which ones are written in kanji, hiragana or katakana or if there are different ways to write them in different systems, because this is very important for me. Thanks in advice and sorry if this is repeated or posted in the wrong place
  6. Does anyone know how to edit events in BW such as changing Zekrom > Another pokemon? Or adding items and changing the locations of where trainers stand? If anyone can help me Ill appreciate it.
  7. also ruby sapphire and emerald? for example using diamond/pearl/platinum as the base rom (chosen for the game corner) and basically inserting all the content from the gba games, or remaking it from scratch? I personally would like to be able to play all of the games on ds but question whether or not remakes may be made for those 5 games any thoughts ideas suggestions would be helpful thanks
  8. Hello ProjectPokemon, this is my first post I believe, I am wondering what the current progress on figuring out the Pokemon Black & White type effectiveness table is. Does anyone know the location? the narc(if it's located in one), or the overlay? (could someone please also explain overlays to me? I can't manage to find a proper definition and how to use/find them). I've looked at other posts, and they all either end up in dead-ends or it's a different generation. Help is very much appreciated as I would love to edit some of the effectiveness/resistances on the table, comment a post or personal message me, thankyou very much, cheers!

  12. Hi everyone, I was wondering if it's possible to inject the eReader berries into the game (e.g. player's PC) by editing the savefile. But HERE I can't find those berries. This is strange to me, since the eReader berries were already available in R/S. Does someone know what the index numbers of the eReader berries are? Or in general if just inserting the items by index number will work (without the use of eReader)? I apologize in advance in case this has already been asked. Greetings,

  14. Hello, I'm trying to find a way to remove the trainer animations that appear when you enter a battle, and they only appear in BW2. I'm trying to remove them because I can't edit the front trainer sprites through BWSE without the animation getting in the way. I've seen other people do this but I don't have the slightest idea how you do it. As for the Flying sprites, I know where they are located but I don't know how to import them. I'm using Tinke v0.9.0.0. When I show textures on file 58 in narc 1/1/6 I can find the male flying sprites and am able to export the but I don't know how to import them. If you know how do these things it would be a huge help to me.
  15. I want to hack Pokemon Fire Red to Make a rom that a friend and I can play. I looked EVERYWHERE on the forums for tools I can use. I can't find anything. Can You guys please tell me the name of the program and description of it without a download link? I'll Find the download myself. Thanks.
  16. Working with W2 - I need some help, someone please give some advice? I've been trying everything I could find, I don't want to have to learn C++ or something JUST to hack simple things on White 2. Starter Editing - Tried: Twisted Fatal Starter Editor, Zero's Starter Editor I tried all the Starter Editors I could find, none of them worked, so I found out how to hex edit it but I can't figure out how to get the opening visual to change (the pictures of the starters with the names) so now, you choose visually from the original 3, but when you choose, you get the right one. Trainer Editor - Tried: Spiky Eared Pichu's DS Map Editor, Kazo's BWTE Spiky's DS map editor won't let me select the trainer editors, so I guess it's just incomplete or something? BWTE works until I load the game. The very next scene change from any savepoint will freeze, no matter what I change in the narcs; number of pkmn, type of pkmn, money reward, trainer type, etc. Text Editor - Tried: Spiky Eared Pichu's DS Map Editor, All I wanted to change was a few Gym Leader names, Juniper's opening statement, and take out "Your opponent is about to send in *PKMN*" to not show the *PKMN* so it's a blind switch. No matter what I change, it freezes on the next scene change. Script Editor - I haven't tried anything yet, and all I want changed is receiving certain items earlier on. IE: EXP Share+Fishing Rod+Bike+Shiny Charm *In other words, I want the item layout to be the same was Drayno's BlazeBlack2 and VoltWhite2* I've successfully changed evolution/stats/movesets/moves/abilities/wild encounters/ And every tool or piece of knowledge I've gained along the way has been reliable, but for the life of me, I can't get these other tools to work. And if anyone just so happens to know how I could just add in an extra area or two, like a side route, to the maps with Spikey's map editor, I'd love you forever. I just thought it'd be cool to have an extra area for wild other wild encounters/trainers since BW2 feels so linear compared to Kanto/Hoenn.

  18. So i have no clue in which narc my character's in battle sprite is so i can modify it. To be more clear i mean this: And how exactly can i cut these hands correctly so the will stick on the main body? Last question:How can i modify the dialogue boxes of the E4 members and the Champion? Dont forget that it is for Black 2.

  21. I've been browsing the forums trying to see if anyone's had this problem. So far it looks like it's just me, meaning probably an error of my own. But can someone help me figure out what I'm doing? I'm trying to edit White 2 for a friend, one with all his friends as the gym leaders/elite four. The champion sprite will be Hilbert (my favorite trainer). However when I try to use BWME to replace the champion's full body mugshot (which is divided into two images) one of both images becomes discolored. I haven't had any problem with regular mugshots, but I assume that's because the champion mugshots both share pal 12. Is there something I'm doing wrong or another way to insert my files? Also, it should be noted that this happens when i try to insert any file--not just Hilbert. I even tried to reinsert the original mugshots of Iris and got the same problem. Thanks in advance.

  24. After browsing the forum for a while I could not find anything to do with the Xtransceiver Sprites. All I really need to do (once again) is swap Hugh's and Nate's sprites around. Is this possible or am I just being silly?
  25. I am in the process of making a rom that allows the user to play as "Hugh" (Rival). The rival in the rom is the Male Hero. I have managed to make the walking overworld sprites to work for both characters as well as the back sprite for "Hugh" (Player). When I attempted to change the front In-Battle sprite for the player all I got was some sort of staticy mess, See below. Can anyone help me? (Bare in mind I have only started editing roms today)
