  1. @Cpan1 The palette and image should be in the same narc.. yes.. no? Tried every palette with it, no to little success. Meaning, the palettes looked always at least slightly off from the proper colour, although I could be wrong. Either way, nothing lines up in CT2. Can't tell it says ICE at any point. Any byte jump, any tile form, any image pattern.
  2. @Bond697 True, but isn't there a rule somewhere that declares I must have permission to use the work to be able to include it in a publicly released hack? @Kaphotics Thankyou very much, that's a fantastic idea that helps quite a bit, not really sure how to do what you said, I could probably figure it out.
  3. @Cpan1 After looking at that double link, I've become stuck at a part. At *NO* point does my image in CT2 become clear. Trouble on : "Step 3: The Sub menu will appear, which contains a list of different files. Then you'll see a verity of files shown there, make sure you export the .NCGR the .NSCR and the .NCLR files when doing so. Just right click the file and click Export. Note that some files may be compressed, the compressed files have the extention .l on them, so they'd be like .NCGR.l, for the compressed files, you will need to Uncompress them by right clicking then clicking "Uncompress"." How am I supposed to know which .NSCR goes with which .NCGR? In Tinke, applying the different palettes to file 3_048 never results in the proper image of the ICE icon.
  4. Thankyou for the suggestion Andibad . How might I go about that? If I open it directly I don't understand what I would do with the hex
  5. Details : 270kb. 64Width 8Height. Same style as the image shown when clicking on file 49 or any type icon. Top half on the left, bottom half on the right. Uses 3 or 4 Colors. Replacing File 48 in a/0/8/3 or File 3_048 if you're using Tinke 0.9.0
  6. Can someone tell me if they find the equivalent to the Roaming pokemon narc or something, please, this is my only boundary from completing a GBA hack.
  7. The only thing left to complete in my hack before BETA Testing all the way through. How can I edit a .RGCN file inside a/0/8/3 in Pokemon White 1? Tried to use Tinke, sometimes didn't pack, the other times, wouldn't accept the picture, other times, made my change to something stupid in-game. Tried to use PPNFR, didn't really understand it, despite the fact it only really has like 5 buttons. I want to replace a .RGCN, (the picture it says it is in Tinke anyways) so it shows up in-game as a working, proper change. Any help would be very much appreciated! Thankyou!
  8. Looks incredibly straightforward, wonderful work cpan1, I can't thank you enough. If anyone ever finds the exact location of the image, I would be awestruck, feel free to message me if this thread dies.
  9. Thankyou<3 I don't know how to replace a picture contained within a .narc though even if it is located in a/0/8/2 in BW1
  10. YOU'VE DONE IT! IT WORKS! AHHHH! THANKYOU SO MUCH CPAN1 AND ANDIBAD! On to my next related question, which hopefully is easier, would you happen to have any ideas on how to change the icon for a type? Example, in game, you always see like in the summary, on moves, whatever, the icon of the type. (The little box that says Water etc. [WATER]). Any ideas on how to change that icon to a new icon I would create?

Thankyou.
  12. I now have BLZ. I can't figure out how to locate overlays, (I'm using CrystalTile2, is that a problem?) and I'm not sure how to open them. I understood your subtraction explanation well though, thankyou very much cpan1, only the other bits are hard for me to understand . And yes, I'm on the original B1W1. Thankyou muchly for your help so far though<3 EDIT**** After a lot a lot of researching, I found out how to locate them. So... Bond697 said "the type chart in white 1 is @ 24f049c. 3a37c in overlay 93 in white 1." What I don't understand is... what does 24f049c have to do with anything? I opened CrystalTile2, pressed the DS button called "NDS[][]" and extracted overlay9_0093.bin, as Bond said. I then went to offset 3a37c in overlay 93, and the only thing I am seeing in the next roughly 20 lines is 04's, 02's, and 08's. I thought it was supposed to be like 02 (Type 1) 14 (Effectiveness((In this case 2x)) 04 (Type 2). I'm pretty sure the whole type table can't be based off of 02 04 and 08. What have I done wrong? YET ANOTHER QUESTION, does one have to extract AND decompress a file?
  13. I have applied a patch known as the 'Pokemon Fire Red 649 Patch' and I wish to make a hack PURELY FOR MYSELF with it. I am aware that the creator does not want his patch being used in full hacks and I respect it. So my question is, being the noob I am, how do you edit wild pokemon WITHOUT using a-map or a program such as that. I mean is there a way to hex edit every wild pokemon for every route? I need a way to edit the wild pokemon that doesn't involve a program, because the program can't load it properly as it does not expect 649 pokemon.
  14. Thankyou kindly, cpan1! But how does one go about extracting or "subtracting" an overlay as I see being talked about in that thread you posted?
  15. Hello ProjectPokemon, this is my first post I believe, I am wondering what the current progress on figuring out the Pokemon Black & White type effectiveness table is. Does anyone know the location? the narc(if it's located in one), or the overlay? (could someone please also explain overlays to me? I can't manage to find a proper definition and how to use/find them). I've looked at other posts, and they all either end up in dead-ends or it's a different generation. Help is very much appreciated as I would love to edit some of the effectiveness/resistances on the table, comment a post or personal message me, thankyou very much, cheers!
